Yummy food, good student discounts, amazing service, food was ready quickly The lady at the front desk was very sweet and the food was super amazing and a good size for the price! Recommend: butter chicken bowl, chicken naan, biryani
We came here because of the high star rating and i am THRILLED to add to it. The food is fantastic, with very vivid flavor. I cannot WAIT to come back and eat more. Everyone needs to know about this tasty gem in the heart of the decarie village!
My family and I love eating at and ordering from Maison Samosa. Their food is delicious, their portions are generous and their service is impeccable. There is a wide variety of succulent plates to try. Every meal is prepared and served with love. We also order appetizers in bulk, at times, for events and greatly appreciate how organized and responsive they are. We absolutely recommend Maison Samosa for a flavoursome dining experience.
Its the second time I come to Maison Samosa Express, but this time for take-out. I have to say the food has been exceptional both times and would recommend to anyone in the area. The naan is very good too, thank you!! 👌🙌🏼❤️
My partner and I visited when we were in the area! I definitely love indian food and this restaurant did not disappoint!! The flavour is definitely there and the cuisine is rich, but the service seemed a little slower but then again they only had one person in the front and serving. The place is nicely organized and a little quiet, i think some music would really set the ambiance!
Ok So everything was ok, I will eat there again because it’s close to my school but I won’t go out of my way to get food there It cost less than 30$ for me to eat samosas and thali The service wasn’t the best I felt like I wasn’t wanted there
Delicious Halal Indian restaurant. Very clean and organized. Respectful staff and friendly. Reasonable price.
Tried it for the first time last week, WHY hasnt I discover this place sooner ??? For authentic indian food, this is the place to go! Every dish has its own flavor. The spices were just perfect! Little family restauran, we will come back :)
Excellent food, staff and service. Reasonably priced. Nice ,simple and very clean dining area.
Great food and quick to prepare! Always very tasty
The lady at the front desk was really nice she let us stay in and eat our food inside even though we ordered takeout 10/10 would go again
Food not great. Service terrible, impolite server lady who doesnt make you feel welcome. Rather that your an annoyance. Wont go back. Way better options in the city.
Good
Amazing service , delicious food must try !!!
Amazing!!! Finally a restaurant that offers meals that are generous in quantity and delicious while remaining at a very affordable price for students.
Samosa size is too small as well as taste is Not too much good
Amazing food with real desi taste. From pakoras, salads, Barbq (fish, prawns, chicken) main course, everything was outstandingly delicious. Whenever we travel out of country we notice spices are too high in food but here it was very nicely balanced in all dishes. Food
Terrible food nothing was fresh and the yogurt in the mango lassi tasted expired.
Great food, one of the best in Montreal
Always good
I visited Samosa Express recently and was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my experience. The cleanliness of the establishment was top-notch, reflecting a commitment to hygiene and quality. The food was of exceptional quality, bursting with delicious flavors that left me craving for more. The customer service was outstanding, with friendly staff members who were attentive and accommodating. Despite the high quality and excellent service, the prices were very reasonable, offering great value for the delicious food. Overall, Samosa Express exceeded my expectations in every way and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Five stars all the way!
The best Samosa
Simply delicious I go back every week. The service is excellent. Thanks to Maison Samosa for the good service and the good food One last visit for me finally... I found a hair between 2 naan!!!
nice clean food with smily faces and good service
Amazing restaurent Amazing service and very tasty food
I have been ordering from Maison Samosa since they opened their restaurant in Ville Saint Laurent and have always had excellent meals. A must if you want to have authentic and very high quality Indian cuisine.
Really love this restaurant. Their food is so tasty and I especially love their samosas ! I would definitely recommend. 10/10
One of the best Indian restaurants in Montreal. I definitely recommend this place!
Tasty and inexpensive. Hands down best samosas I ve ever had. 4 stars because the portions are a bit smaller than they he usual, had to order 2 extra samosas, but can t go wrong for the price. Recommend it!
Samosas were the best I have had
Lady serving or taking orders is too rude in behaviour. Kept giving the eyes and looks. Food is ok
I ve been going there for years and I m never disappointed. It s my favorite Indian restaurant
ITS WORTH IT!!! Came here with my family last year, every dish we had was a 10/10. If you want authentic South Asian food this is your place. Bring family or friends or even a date!!! My family enjoyed the comfort environment. Madly in love
This is my first time eating Indian/Pakistani food and I loved it. The waitress who served us was patient and attentive, plus the atmosphere was friendly. I highly recommend if you want to explore new flavors.
Small family restaurant, quiet atmosphere and very good family food.
Great thali at 14$
So bad food sezling plate which cost me 49 dollars and they put in plate rice and salad to make it full only 2 kababs on top and 4 burn shrimps I spend 80 dollars and all food go in garbage so disappointed chicken karahi small container and tasteless very very disappointed will never order again
The food is great. Dont get me wrong. I ve been a loyal client since they opened. Today, I hosted a dinner at home and wanted naan from them. They wouldn t accept my order because they were too busy and I d have to wait. I m not sure why they didn t close their uber store but this was crazy. I had to call to ask why. They ve permanently lost a customer.
Food was great but I was left greatly concerned with the sanitary measures they had in place. The staff was also highly incompetent and acted like they would rather be doing anything else.
The food was alright, but the service was horrendous. The lady (cashier also the server) was very cranky, and at first, we thought maybe she was tired from fasting. However, to our surprise, her treatment towards Caucasian customers was completely different from how she treated us. She was super friendly and courteous to these Caucasian customers, but with us, she treated us as if we were begging for free food!!
Best Indian food in Montreal. Dont listen to the haters below. We order 1-2 a month and its always consistent and fantastic.
The worst Indian food I have so far, do not order any Lamb dish , it s hard like a rock no chewable
We always have an amazing experience with this restaurant. The food is delicious; highly recommend!
Nice and cute, A/C working well, food delicious Vegetarian options: Many choices on the menu Food : 5/5 |
Definitely less good than the average indian food I had in Montreal. That said, it was still decent and I have to appreciate that it is the only indian restaurant where I was served in french by an indian. But I prefer the food at Kuljit by far.
Great butter chicken and naan loved it. Must try hidden gem restaurant Food
We ordered takeout and everything was absolutly delicious. The vegetarian dishes were amazing! Vegetarian options: Very tasty
We came there around 7:40, closing time was 9pm. The lady didn t greet us, it seemed like she didn t want us here. Didn t talk to us properly. When asked about the menu, she would reply i don t know. The food was cold, barely any taste. The utensils looks uncleaned, so did the glassware. The service was overall bad. Once she served us food. She went back and never came back. Tbh. Don t recommend at all, the lady gives off bad vibes and makes you feel very uncomfortable. 0/10
Coming from Toronto and going to Quebec, stopped over at Montreal for food at this restarunt. Very good food, great quality, quick service. This is our second time to this restarunt. We catered food for 55 people in 2015 while going to Quebec. It was also memorable experience. Keep it up. Thanks
Food is absolutely bomb. Ive been twice and got two totally different meals - each blew my mind. Cant recommend enough.
Love love love this place! The kind lady here is very nice and the food is just so yummy each time we come here! Recommend the butter chicken ,chicken biriyani and malai boti. Good luck, cant wait to come by next time! Food : 5/5
Great place, good ambiance and really good food. If you are looking for some comfort food, this is the place.
I came here when I was a student at the local college because it was the best place to get really good food that wasnt expensive. 6 years later thats still the case!!
Good taste.. Good food.. Good service..
Im sorry but microwave food sucks. And they cant even make fresh nan bread.
It was fantastic
It was my first time eating here, I got some samosas and it was the best samosas I ve ever tasted. The food was soo good I came back later that day for more.
SUPER GOOD !! I recommend x1000, if you want to eat well this is the place to go. I have never tasted such good Indian cuisine. A little address not to be missed!
I had very good service!
This restaurant is very welcoming great customer service and the samosas were amazing I definitely recommend 9.5/10
We returned after being away, since our offices have moved. We loved their Thali dishes during lunches. Last night we returned and the food was delicious. Recommendations to try new things a must! One of the best hidden gems in MTL.
My top #1 most favourite chicken biryani place :)! Absolute deliciousness with beautiful varieties and lovely services!
Very good service and good dining experience
Best Desi restaurant in Montreal. Clean food and restaurant, very affordable as well.
A beautiful find! Great service. Super fresh food. Amazingly great pricing for what you get. And most importantly, insanely delicious. Love this place!
The lady is not so nice at the reception we took take out thali which was nothing so small portion we didn t like it
Delicious little family restaurant. Ive been going there for several years and love their palak paneer and eggplant dish. I traveled to India and really, the food there is excellent and authentic. I recommend it to you.
Great food, great service, their curry is to die for!
Prices have gone up considerably, and the portions have gone down. For me, not worth it.
Amazing food . Fresh and good enough portion for one person .
One of the best restaurants I have eaten at. To try it is to adopt it. Very good service.
I never ate food this good in my life. 5 star rating is realistically how good their spicy buttermilk chicken wrap with Somoza combos are ( don t forget the sweet sauce on the side) thank me later
Food is ok but the place lacks cleanliness. The cutlery provided was not even washed properly , had stains on them. Not worth the price, there are better indian restuarants in Montreal
Delicious food, I love the hard work that this lady doing, May Allah bless her.
Tasteless samosa and very small size, 1samosa = $1 not worth it.
I usually never leave a review but here the food was DESPICABLE. If I could have given 0 stars I would have done so. I ate out of respect because there are children dying in the world. The waitress was bitter, face closed, not even a little smile, has her husband been stolen? May Allah forgive us.
One of the most delicious and tastiest saag (spinach) I have ever had!!!
17$ for a small portion if butter chicken to go
Its an ok place. Not as good as the ones on Jean Talon but close enough. Pricing as well is a bit higher compared to those ones. Naan bread is bigger than usual though but more expensive as well, except regular naan which is priced ok. Vegetarian Thali is pretty good. If you are in a hurry for Indian and are around is more than decent. Else, drive 10 more minutes and try Jean Talon & Acadie corner. There are a few better ones, better taste and cheaper. As well...they are Bring Your Own Booze. No alcool serving at this place. Verdict : give it a try.
If you looking for the best place to dine-in With authentic Indian taste Maison is the best place in Montreal. We ordered karahi chicken and shahi paneer with garlic naans that was out of the world.
Great service and delicious food. We ordered butter chicken, lamb curry with rice and naan. They have us 10% off for the pick up.
Food was ok but very spicy.. service was ok could be better. Not sure its a comeback
Vegetarian options: Always delicious and very satisfying. You can get hot, medium or mild plates. I take the mild. They also have a vegan platter which my daughter enjoys every time. Service is very efficient. The owner is a very lovely lady in a very pleasant, nice and quiet restaurant.
Amazing. Best Indian food out there in mtl. Everyone should eat there at least once. Clean and cozy environment, even the restaurant smells great. Food was exquisite.
The chicken is unpleasant and dry, the pieces of meat only bones, small quantity, the water bowl is plastic and disgusting, its not worth 16 dollars, its not worth 10$, I will not return and I will not recommend it
Absolute best Indian food in town. I only order Indian food from them now!
I really enjoyed lunch, good prices.
Best in town
Worst Indian food Ive ever eaten. Expensive and absolutely terrible. Butter Chicken doesnt taste like butter chicken, every dish is watered down mess, they leave cardemon pods in the dishes so you can ruin your bite with that in there, samosas and pakora dont come with any sauce, rice is bland, and dont even get me started about that sorry excuse for a sausage. Disgusting place, you couldnt pay me to eat at this place again. I would have understood if it was cheap but 55$ dollars for two you expect something eadible.
First time I tested Samosa was here and never tested a similar one again. I also tried the lassi. It is so delicious. I highly recommend this place for original indian food Food
If you are in the mood for some delicious Indian comfort food then this place is definitely worth a visit! I really enjoyed the Mixte Thali Plate which is a sampler of various Indian dishes on the menu and it was very good! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Ive had the chicken byriani with chicken samosa. The samosa were great, they come in a pair of two with a spicy red sauce. The crispiness and thickness of the samosa were great, the filling although it wasnt fully stuffed. The chicken byriani was not too spicy with a good flavor. The only issue was the chicken, it was a bit too dry and tough. You cannot go wrong with the samosa thats a sure value.
For bad services and cleanliness
As the name mentions, Best samosa that you can have in MTL, this place has amazing Indian cuisine, spiciness level can be changed as per the order.. my personal tried and tasted recommendations from this place: 1) Veg Samosa 2) Chana Samosa 3) Fish Korma 4) Shahi Paneer 5) Mix Thali- brings veg and Non veg in same plate along with Tandoori and Kabab. 6) Fish Pakora 7) Fish curry 8) Chicken Thali 9) Veg Thali 10) Naan bread - softest naan you can think of.. 11) Mango Lassi. The menu is much bigger than I can afford to taste.. 5 stars attaching pics of Chana Samosa and fish curry with naan bread.
We went inside the lady on the counter was so disaster, we smiled and said Hi and she didn t reply . She was very rude with us all the time. We had veggie samosas and chicken kebabs and lassi, she came after 30minutes and the restaurant was all vacant. Service and the server (the lady) were really poor, although the food was okay.
Good inexpensive Indian food. Excellent service. You go there because you feel at home.
Small portions but all excellent
Best samosas!!!!!!
Best food for this lockdown and chilli cold weather now i am big fan of this hidden indian gem. Highly Recommend
Good food, but a bit price compare to other restaurants
Really friendly restaurant even after months the woman in front remembered my name. The best chicken samosas I have ever had and their mango lassi is delicious.
Some of.tje best butter chicken
Everything was great , and the biryani is really spicy , so check how much spicy you want it first
Most awesome food
Had the Palak paneer , (not sure what the difference with saag paneer) best ive ever had . Korma was ok , will try again soon
Tried vegetable and beef samosas and they were absolutely delicious! thanks!
Really good samosas!
My go to for Indian food! The food is very good and the place is clean. Also during this time of pandemic they pay alot of attention to make sure things are well desinfected and clean.
Great food, friendly staff, fast service.
0 stars for the welcome, too bad. The food is very good
Very tasty and good service!
The food was not tasty
Loved the veggie mix and the pulao rice; delicious! Also tried the aloo gobi and the eggplant, yummy! Great service!
Be ware of this place. I GOT FOOD POISONING DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE.... I ordered 3 different dishes, all came with same tomato-based spicy sauce. It looks like they have just heated the lamb and the fish in the microwave and threw it in the sauce. They call this food??? They think that It just a quick way to make money off people and serve them bad food. horrible.... never ever again.
Hygienic, clean place with good quality food. Good place to dine in too
the food is excellent!!
Best Indian food I ever had, Good quality food and amazing service
Not bad
I ordered food but i dont like it it was taste less moreover if i talk about food price it is very costly so before buy please think thanks...
Best food ever in Montreal
Best food in Canada
The eggplant puree is a must! The owner has created a truly delicious homemade menu for us! Super good address for your Pakistani/Indian food cravings
very nice specially the vegetarian food
Surprise discovery near Vanier and I must say I was really impressed. We ordered the chicken vindaloo and the eggplant masala, both dishes were amazing!! Eggplant masala was my personal favorite!
Ive been ordering for many years, food is top notch, packaging used to always leak, but now, thats not the case anymore. Thank you maison samosa for a great delivery experience!
The food is very good and the service excellent.
Amazing indio-pak food in Montreal.
Quality food with an excellent service.
The place was empty when we got there. Usually not a good sign. Realized after that lots of people were ordering using food delivery services. Food was great. Nice and spicy! Standard portions for an Indian joint i.e. on the small side. Decor is very basic. Definitely no frills. Parking available on side streets.
-Very good and tasty food -Had veg thali, it had 3 currys, naan, rice, salad, 1 piece Samosa-Onion Pakoda-Gulab Jamun - Everything was pure indian tasty bit - Place is big, for parties it would be excellent - Service is a bit time taking but its ok as long as the taste is excellent -Prices are average enough - Quantity is also good enough - Overall it was very good experience and I would not hesitate to visit it agin
Food is average. There s no ambiance and not even music. All the chairs are stained and seemed very old. There is no decorations other than plain walls on most of the restaurant. The day we went particularly the chick peas were tasteless. The fish pakora was horrible because it tasted old and refried. Finding a parking wasn t easy. The water jugs were very dirty.
Excellent food and service!!! Very kind and polite staff. Super fast too. One of the best Indian restaurant i ve been to in Montreal.
A fantastic little restaurant with amazing food. This is a must try! A very friendly family owned environment. They even treated us to some nice Gulab jamun at the end! WOW
Very good food!
Delicious food, so tasty! Great service, nice place!
Excellent food perceives similar a home-cooked Indian food!!!
Its ok place
Really overpriced but really, really tasty. Good vegan options; try the eggplant masala.
Less quantity for money for certain food and food was just average
Nestled on a quite street, this hidden gem has one the best Chicken Biryani, Aaloo Naan and Vegetarian thali. Portions are quite generous so is the owner whose smile can be seen even through the face mask
Very tasty, fresh but a little pricey.
We called to prepare a take-out order. They gave us a price much higher than that displayed on the internet ($90 instead of around sixty) and neglected to mention the 20% discount, which they agreed to give us, at our request. The sag lamb contained no meat (or really very little): there were 2 huge bones instead. The taste is okay, but nothing more.
Quality Indian meals, they never disappointed me! Taste the achari chicken... Phew phew! Bon appetit. Thanks to Aïcha for the excellence of her service day after day for years.
Best Indian restaurant in town & great customer service! Keep on the good work!
A pure treat!
Delicious and appetizing
Food is good but the staff should smile more often
Chicken and lamb not fresh...food poisoning!
We ordered butter chicken and Naan. While the food was good, we had our concerns with hygiene. The lady who served us the food was also cleaning the toilet while we were eating. We really felt bad and were not able to enjoy our meal. Imagining the same hands in the kitchen and toilet was not good.
Good
Great taste ,great service,must try...
The best Indian food in the city! Everything is always cooked fresh. The chicken Biryani is always so delicious.. lots of chicken and flavor. Great prices and great service! Highly recommend.
Love this place! Have been ordering from them for a few years now and have never been disappointed! Excellent food! Friendly owners! You have to try it to believe it!!
The food is amazing
Not impressed!
Fast service good food! Channa samosa plate taste soooo fresh! Thank you
Great food
Best samosas ever
Ayaz is amazing, hes a dope guy, I would hire him for my company. Keep up the work my man! All love
Ayaz is great!
amazing service and food come here almost every day
The place is clean, accessible for wheelchair, and is super close to the metro. There is no (when I was there) music playing to distract you. Now the review. I dont know if its my face but Im yet to encounter a nice, polite server at any Indian restaurant in Montreal. I read a lot about a couple of servers here who other patrons seem to love but they were nowhere to be seen. Ours was curt to the point of being rude. Ordered palak paneer and naan and its the best veggie food Ive had in Montreal yet. It was perfect. No sweetness and definitely no filler curries they use for volume. The paneer was fresh too. Will try their non-veg fare next time.
One of the best Halal Indian food in town
Great service
