1904 Boulevard Thimens, Saint-Laurent, Quebec H4R 2K2, Canada
Family-owned, BYOB nook in a strip mall since 2005 offering North Indian recipes in a low-key setup.
Amazing Delicious Food for reasonable price! We had a large order for takeout and they were perfectly on time with steaming hot food! There was more than enough food for everyone to eat multiple times!
Tried few plates and bread. Nothing special, very mediocre and miss thr feel of great Indian spices. Service was good, quick, and friendly. Therefore the 3 stars. I wouldn't say its bad, but this is a one time visit spot unfortunately.
We had a fantastic and extremely satisfying lunch at this family-owned restaurant serving a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian traditional North Indian dishes since 2005. Honestly, we absolutely loved everything we ordered. From our pictures, it seems like we didn't order much food, especially since we shared it between three people, but trust us, it was very filling.
There was no option to give no star , unless I would have given it. The food was extremely delicious, super tasty. But the reason I am giving one star is because of the customer experience. We entered the restaurant and the girl rudely directed us to the table while giving a direction with her hand. Then she brought the menu and just kept on the table without saying anything. Then we gave out order and then she showed her hand asking us to give her the menu instead of taking it herself. She doesn’t even speak a word.. and she gave us the order silently. She should improve her customer service. That’s all and everything will be perfect
Nice Mango Lassi The biriani is not a wow factor but it's ok. I find it's missing the usual ginger, Coriander, and other ingredients. I'm still looking for the best Biryani out there. The fish panoramic is light, fluffy, not oily and slightly undercooked. We loved their Chati Samosa, even though the previous time it came with much more garnish. Overall the food is good, I just wished there was more consistency with the food quality and how it's presented. Parking has never been an issue so far. The waitress was very kind and polite.
We dined in on a Tuesday night and it wasn't too busy. They allowed us to sit for a few hours without pressuring us to order more or to leave. The food is amazing and tastes as authentic as it gets. Prices are reasonable and the staff were great in offering recommendations!
I've been coming to this place since I was a child, and the food has always been top-notch. Whenever we come as a family, we order the thali because it lets us try different dishes at a reasonable cost. Be sure to try the mango lassi and the butter chicken—they're amazing! Their samosas are also delicious. The restaurant is small, so I would recommend avoiding rush hours if possible.
We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered especially the chilli chicken, samosas and tandoori. The chicken tikka was also excellent with the garlic naan. The beef biryani was flavorful and the meat tender. Will be back in the future!
Today i visit kuljit india restaurant. Very nice place for good india food no more crowd today so my family enjoy very well. Nice service. Thank you. Vegetarian options: Veg Thali (Naan, chole, palak curry, pakora, Rice, salad)
I like the taste they serve it s subtle and taste more like normal home cooked food Vegetarian options: Kadhai paneer Punjabi kadi
Excellent Indian restaurant, for 4 years I have visited all the restaurants and this is the best!!!
Small dish ideal for lunches etc. very good!
Parking: Limited parking Food
A go to place if we miss some desi dhaba food All the stuff is friendly and super nice the aunty who Handel the counter is like your mom :) Thank you for serving some tasty food Jai ho
Must try rasmalai, samosa.
Simply the best family own Indian restaurant in Montreal!
Very very good food and clean I have come here often and it is by far the best Indian restaurant I have eaten at.
Could have rated zero for customer service but no option for that, girl served the food like she doesn t know how to behave .one have to wish than ask for the order, she once brought everything in a bulk doesn t matter the food getting cold even she never cameback to ask us if we need something more. ALSO SHE WAS SMELLING SOO BAD!! I won t recommend this place. I would suggest owner should train his staff how to behave with customers and teach them to wear neat & clean clothes!! Specially the lady doing server role.
Delicious authentic food. Thank you! One of my go too with my colleagues now. Food : 5/5
this place has kept the exact same recipe for ever, every time it taste like the 1st time, this is my favorite Indian restaurant in the city
Takeout order: The lentil soup is delicious as well as the butter chicken and naan bread. Good portion and good value for money
Really excellent food. Not 5 star service but we dont go there to be served like kings.
Great delicious lunch that feels like a home cooked meal! We ordered the saag paneer, daal makhani and chaat papdi and every dish was super tasty, one of the best Indian restaurants weve tried - highly recommended!
Im no expert in Indian cuisine but I know what I like, and I really like this place, not only great competitive pricing but very delicious food, just ordered the lamb korma, chicken and lamb biryani all was outstanding. You have just earned yourself a future repeat regular customer.
Great Indian restaurant near my home!
Bough food, no taste at all, instead got food poisoning the next day. Chicken biryani wasnt good at all. Disappointed.
the food is so good
Quite a homely feeling both in terms of food and ambiance. I have visited twice in last three weeks with my family and we all enjoyed their hospitality. We are vegetarian and can recommend those with full accountability.
Delicious Indian food at low price
A great little local restaurant and take-out. Food is always good, the portions are generous, and the welcome is friendly.
The food was amazing! My family had a wonderful time, we will be returning again and again.
Super good food grocery stores or not for me great grocery stores very very good affordable good price
My fiancé say this taste just like their time in India very authentic. Added it to our favorite for anytime we come back to IKEA.
I am a big fan of butter chicken, I tried almost everywhere across Canada and I also make it at home. This is my second time I tried it at this location and unfortunately the chicken taste was disgusting, I can clearly see the discolouration of blue and green inside it. I asked them nicely if the chicken was from today so I don t cause any scene and straight lied to my face that it was. I paid the full price of 42$. Never again
A favorite of mine of good Indian. I love the lamb thali.
Home type food, good quality, Lassi was v authentic like India dhaaba style, must try!!
Very bad service I ordered butter chicken The chicken pieces giving bad smell and its really very cheap and old meat they are selling. Food : 1/5
Very very delicious
Tasty food , good service, Nice staff
Good quality food fair price
Very good food at reasonable price! Good services. Atmosphere is ok.
This is my all time favourite indian restaurant! The lady there even remembers us everytime! I have tried many butter chicken from other places in montreal, even Dishoom from London but i always come back to kuljit! Food : 5/5
Dont be fooled by appearances, this restaurant is the best Indian in Montreal.
Always order on uber eata and doordash! Amazing food, consistent, tasty!!!
The Chicken Biryani is a must try!
The food was too good! And loved the employees!
The best Indian restaurant! Excellent!
Everything was delicious: butter chicken, samosas, vegetable pakora, naan bread... Fast service. Unlimited sauces for starters. Affordable. I recommend!
This restaurant is definetly on the list of top indian restaurants in the island of montreal. Good food, nice staff/owners and clean.
Best butter chicken we ve had! The naan bread are very good, lamb and beef curry, everything. Would recommend
The Food is Excellent.
Very tasty food, staff is polite, and the atmosphere is alright. A little pricey for Indian cuisine, but then again, food pricing has gone up so much in the past 4 years... Its just becoming difficult for everyone to procure groceries at decent prices.
Most authentic no frills North Indian restaurant in Montreal
Thank you for adding veg burger
Best indian food in Montreal by far.
We just Uber Eats the Food was so good they truly offers the best quality authentic Indian food.
Authentic indian food! Great staff. I recommend! Food : 5/5
Good Indian food. Quick service. Reasonable prices.
The combo plate is very tasty with generous portions and the price is great .
Best Indian food in Saint Laurent!
To eat with Indian flavor its here!
Everything is fantastic about this place, awesome food, fantastic waiters, get my food warm
Ordered tea for 5 people and had to wait for 40 mins. Not sure why so much delays. Cant enter the shop for a small snacking in minimal time. They will delay it even if its not busy time.
Amazing and authentic Indian food. Huge variety.
Bad waitress, atmosphere that leaves something to be desired.
Nice place and super fast service, but the food is ok, not too bad, but not great either. Vegetarian options: So many vegetarian dishes Parking: Thankfully there are plenty of parking spaces
It was affordable. The food was good, but not good enough to be worth a detour if you dont live nearby. The lamb dish we tried was just ok. The butter chicken was better but not too memorable. The restaurant is small. Didnt have to wait long, as we want on a weekday, but I dont know if it gets crowded on weekends. Free parking is available, but its limited.
Recently had an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who provided excellent service throughout the meal. The ambiance was inviting, with a charming decor that added to the overall dining experience. Overall great food, staff and cooking. Highly recommended!
Kuljit Restaurant have one of the best Indian Cuisine for years. They are very friendly staff and care about their clients. I tried many of their dishes and you can never go wrong.
Yummy Butter Chicken, Good portion Thali, Yummy Rasmalai desert, samosas.. friendly family atmosphere
Must try chana paratha
We visited this place for a quick lunch. Ordered veg and non veg thali. The veg thali was awesome tasty and very hot. The naan bread was so soft. However, the lamb curry in the non veg thali was very bad. It had a very bad taste. The veg thali had daal which was soooooo good. Baingan bartha (burnt aubergine curry) was also very nice. Paid 30$ in total. Okay for a one time visit. Family owned place was neat and brightly lit.
Ordered ras malayi and gulab jamun on doordash. 1 order of gulab jamun, they literally give you only 1 gulab jamun. I thought atleast there will be 2 as minimum serving. The gulab jamum tasted like Samosa or pakora, because it might be fried in the same oil!! 1 serving of ras malayi, there was 1 half broken ras malayi. Very disappointed!!!!
The food is simply delicious and service is very personal and fast. The atmosphere is basic, four walls and a bunch of tables and chairs but you ll be too busy raving about the food to even notice. On top of that, this is a BYOB restaurant. You can t go wrong.
We happened to stumble upon this place while looking for an Indian restaurant in the area, and Im glad we did. Service was quick, food was great, and was reasonably priced (a rarity nowadays). In fact, this is one of the better Indian restaurants Ive had in Montreal and the GMA. Highly recommend it. Vegetarian options: A wide variety of vegetarian options to choose from.
Food is delicious
The food we got was absolutely delicious and the entire staff were very sweet and attentive!
Authentic Indian food, love the taste of the food
I ordered a meal for ten people on December 25, it was ABOVE my expectation! Everything was hot, fresh, delicious and there was plenty of leftovers. The portions are generous and the prices affordable. Thanks again :) Highly recommend, will go back for sure!
Love the food! Service for sit-down is a bit slow but the food more than makes up for it - take out is your best bet. Large portions packed with flavour (been here >10 times in the past year).
great food!
Small strip mall restaurant but delicious.
Good food in budget
I am looking for an electric car. And when I returned to vinfast carrefour Laval I was warmly welcomed by Adam who explained everything to me with patience and professionalism.
The food is very delicious. Today I ordered 40 plates of Chole Bhature for the party. It was so good . It tastes like home food. We really enjoyed it. I recommend everyone must try it.
Order in takeout. Everything was really good.
Absolutely love this place. It is my favourite restaurant in Montreal! Ive been to many Indian restaurants, and the butter chicken here is by far the best Ive ever had. The garlic naan, channa samosa, samosa and mango lassi are a perfect pairing. I have recommended Kuljit to everyone I know. The ladies working there are so sweet as well, and I cannot say enough good things about Kuljit.
Homestyle Indian Delights that Warm the Soul! Kuljit India may not boast a fancy ambiance, but its homestyle Indian cuisine will transport you to the heart of India. Every bite was a delightful journey of spices and aromas. If youre craving genuine Indian flavors in a cozy setting, this place is an absolute treasure!
Worst food I ever had in my life. Ordered from a hotel, food came without any cutlery. The rice was uncooked and chicken smelled stale. Would not recommend anyone.
The food and service are excellent. The prices are good. I highly recommend their butter chicken with garlic naan. Brought my Sri Lankan friend and he approves of it
Very authentic indian place everytime i visit montreal i visit this place for sure the pakora nd chai is very tasty and the food is very good
Worst Food - I Went Yesterday Night For Family Dinner. But Everything Whatever I Order Was Not Good It was Wastage of Money Not At All Recommending To Anyone.
It is a good place to try out the authentic indian punjabi cuisine. Atmosphere is nice. People usually prefer to come here with their family for some good food.
Good bagay
Good price and portions. Recommend the thali which is filling. Would def come back.
They actually increased the portion size of their thali. Was super happy with the portion sizes on the non-veg thali today.
Excellent taste... Punjabi samosa is really good
Tried the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and cleaned my plate. Would definitely recommend if youre looking to eat Indian. I recommend looking up the different options if youre not familiar with Indian cuisine as there isnt much explanation for each, and the menu has few images to help.
good food
It was okey .. Updating my review after my second visit: I love how they ask you how spicy u want your plate , so if u want to try indian food but dont want it spicy ( for your kids maybe) this is the perfect place for you as they do the plate upon your preferences . Unlike some other restos u ask for example for a mild plate but you get a very spicy one.
This is family run Indian restaurant, have been here many times for dine-in or even take out. The food is always very good! The prices are also very reasonable! Thank you!
I love chole bature. in Montreal only I like there. Customer service amazing very welcoming clean highly recommended
Love this place! Great food, great service, and amazing prices! Love coming here
If you re looking perfect indian place in Montreal for delicious food then this place is for you . Amazing service by palwinder . Also parking available
The service was nice and quick Also the food was delicious We ordered butter chicken and Paneer masala . Both were delicious
My daughter and I frequent this restaurant for its delish vegetarian and non vegetarian tali. Cravings satisfied, great service which always makes our mother-daughter dates extra special.
Wholesome family owned business. My partner and I come here almost every week. It s our preferred Indian restaurant as the meals taste homemade and spice is adjusted to our liking. We typically order the non-vegetable thali which has a great assortment of naan, rice, meat curry, veggie curry, and light salad for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Yesterday i ordered goat curry that was worst experience , tasteless curry with bones without meat .
Very good food and inexpensive
Its a lovely restaurant
The best Indian food I have ever eaten, very tasty
Awesome Food and they know how to welcome customers.
Quick diner for 2, we were sitting for 1h until the waitress cleaned our table as soon as we stopped eating. She even took away our napkins and glasses of water, luckily we have water in our car. Basically kind of kick us out. Food was great but their saltiness is too much to our taste. The chicken has it meat smell as it wasnt blended to the sauce. I would recommend take-out over dine-in.
I ordered food but I did not got spoons nd papers I called they said pls mention next time seriously
Excellent
Totally Garbage food no flavour. Nothing I don t know how to people go. There is totally noticed in the food.
Very tasty and authentic dishes. Clean place as well. Reasonable pricing. Recommed goto place for Indian cuisine! Food : 5/5
I didnt have a good experience with food here. Taste wasnt that great, flavors were lacking. Lassi and shake were watered down a bit, so I wouldnt recommend those. People with kids shouldnt order medium spice level food too, it was way too hot for me..and I also got upset stomach after eating here. Parathas are better than kulcha. Dont recommend any paneer dishes since their gravy isnt what you would expect in a hotel.
Very delicious food, nice quantity & quality. The price is very good and adorable.
Family runned Indian restaurant. I ordered the butter chicken combo which was excellent. (non-vegetarian thali = assortment of naan, rice, butter chicken is $1 extra , small salad and an extra order of naan) The chicken birianai was ok. They have been around forever and has good food for a group of people to share if you are new and want to experiment new flavours. Vegetarian options: Very good selection
Best butter chicken in the GMA area I hope they never change the recipe
It was really bad experience,we ordered chilli paneer , malai kofta and it wasn t taste even close to the Indian food that we expecting.i can bet we can make 100 times better at home.
Amazing food but workers don t seem to understand you over the phone. I ordered vegetable pakora (fritter) but received fish pakora which costed me extra.
Best Indian food in Montreal
Delicious food, food quality is excellent. We with my kids enjoyed a lot
We were so hungry and we tried Chole bhature, unfortunately it wasnt up to the mark. Puri ache thi, chole Feeka sa tha. Feedback: puri was Well done but can change the pickel and make Ill bit spicy .
Ordered as a delivery. Pretty decent Indian food. Butter chicken was too sweet and lacked spices to my taste
Surprisingly very good Indian food. I eat vegetarian tali, amazing!
Amazing place for affordable dining.Range of snacks available.few items could be added more Vegetarian options: Lot of veg options available
tasty food
Very clean place Excellent food 5 stars
Always hits the spot and never disappoints..for the past 6 years it s been my favourite spot in my area
It was clean and had a warm friendly feel. It was not a fancy restaurant but it was spicy and span. The ladies in charge were friendly. We just had snacks and teas but will go back again for dinner soon Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options are available.
Good consistent food great portions love it.
Amazing food, friendly service, allergy friendly and family friendly!
Delicious!! Best Indian food Ive found in mtl.
Very poor service and food was stale tasted really bad.
Very poor customer service and food quality was really bad served us stale Malai kofta. Not recommended.
Stale food
Best samosas Ive tried in Montreal!
My favourite indian restaurant!!!
The best restaurant in the neighborhood hands down. Dine in, take out you name it. Best channa samosa, butter chicken and garlic naan in Montreal. Reasonable price and delicious food.
Very good restaurant.. very good service, very courteous, I often order from them.. their Rasamalai (an Indian dessert..) one of the best in Montreal.. their restaurant is hidden.. not visible.. I strongly suggest you to order from them!! Olive
Best place to eat indian food in Montreal. Samosas and cholle bhature are most recommended
Excellent authentic Indian dishes!!! The people who serve and cook for us are adorable and very kind!
The food is great. I did not dine in. The atmosphere lacks decor. Typical Indian restaurant standard service (minimal and smile less service). I still recommend go for the warmth of the food.
The best butter chicken Ive ever had and the goats cheese byriani was delicious! I will definitely come back here! I ordered with a group of friends for an evening and everything was super good
