Welcome to “Ave.Seoul”. This is one of the earliest korean restaurant in St-Laurent . We are making every effort to offer you various popular korean dishes, which are perfect in color, aroma and taste. The dishes we prepare are not only delicious, but also rich in nutrition. For the vegetables we buy on the market by ourselves to keep everything is fresh ,which guarantees the quality of the dishes. Please come and try, and you will not regret!
This is the best place I have eaten to in Montreal in my life, and this place has been consistent with that experience. I have been there for over 30 times at least. I go there like maybe at least once a month for the last few years. The FOOD IS DELICIOUS, THE SOJU IS GODLIKE. THE MENU is nice and varied. Ohhh the soupss, the rice, the noodle, the kimchi. Everything is so fresh and so good. Writing about it just gave me the need to go eat there live.
I have been to this good quality family restaurant many many times over the years and I have been always satisfied with the authentic and delicious Korean food offered. It is operated by a Korean family and this restaurant is always welcoming, clean, efficient, unpretentious, comfortable but simple with no frills, with very good Korean classics. The execution of the plates is very consistent and I have my favorite dishes. You will have to try a few and I’m sure that you rapidly have a selection of your own favorites. Portions are generous and I feel happy while eating, and often full, but never heavy as they don’t seem to use low quality oils. Highly recommended.
Great inexpensive Korean food! We went for lunch and the service was fast and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and the cold buckwheat noodles were so refreshing.
To put it simple, not the best but not the worst Korean restaurant out there. Food was okay but nothing too special about it. Only one waiter doing everything from cash to serving food so keep that in mind if you go.He was very nice though.
The kimbap was great, it was freshly made; soft rice, perfect vegetable crunch and just very delicious. The seafood noodles was amazing, lots of seafood and noodles and the taste was great, not too spicy. Love this ❤
Ribs were cold and tough when served, they waited until the wings were ready to bring out the ribs. Seafood pancake was best part and the salad on the side was actually spicy unlike the wings. Service was good.
Ave Seoul was a nice little place for authentic korean style cuisine. I took my mom out for mothers day here and we enjoyed everything. The menu had good variety, place was clean, service was good and food was fantastic. We ordered the hot stone bowls and it was amazing. I like to let my rice sit a few extra mins in the bowl before diggin in so that the rice at the bottom can get a bit crispy. Staff was very friendly. Another cool thing i enjoyed was they are very child or kid friendly. They have high chairs, little plastic bowls, spoons and cups for the little ones. I would recommend giving this place a try for a korean fix.
My first experience here was quite bad, but when I came back months later, the service was very friendly. The atmosphere was awkward though, as it was too quiet. I had the soft tofu stew, it was spicy and flavorful. However, I didn't like their kimchi at all. After we ate there, my boyfriend and I got quite sick from the food. I don't think I will ever come back.
I came here for the first time (even though Im still on this street), and as soon as I set foot in the restaurant, I was made to feel really welcome. 10/10. I came for takeaway and the owner told me to sit down and he even offered me a glass of water .
Really delicious korean food
Good chicken wings! Lemon and soja are the best
I came here because I was craving Korean food while traveling. I ordered Jeyuk Kimchi Stew and Stone Pot Bibimbap and I ate it all up!
Wow, really good food. Thanks. Really good. I recommend it to you. THANKS
Better than a 4.2 had the BM bop, and spicy chicken ball appetizer. Good time!!
The service was really attentive, the food was good and the price was reasonable ! will visit again :)
Authentic Korean food. Everything I had was so delicious. I love their spicy seafood noodles.
Authentic Korean food. The owner is very nice and remembers my usual.
Delicious sundubu jiggae with beef! Good service as well.
One of the best Korean restaurants in Montreal. The food is authentic and waiter was very nice. Literally not a single complaint!!
Everything is fine and delicious but still need a little bit of patience to wait the foods
Everything is always perfect here, their food and service is all great
The food is a little pricy but the food is amazing.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food for the price range ! Definitely recommend!
Very fresh ingredients!
0 stars, was served chicken that had gone bad. I should have known that something was wrong when the restaurant was empty on a Friday night at 6 PM, but I had eaten here once before with no problems. Last night I made the mistake of ordering Chicken Dolsot Bibimbap. The chicken smelt like mouldy sour cream and was definitely GOING BAD I have never in my life been served food that smelt rotten. The cook actually came out to argue with me saying that it was fresh, it was so awkward and made the whole situation a million times more uncomfortable than it already was. They offered to take the chicken out of my bowl for me, but I refused as the rotten chicken juice had gone down into the rice and smelled bad. I love Korean food, but this place gives Korean or Korean fusion a bad name My partner was so grossed out that he couldn t even eat his meal, we just payed for his bowl and the over priced appetizers and left. Do not come here, there are 2 other very good Korean spots down the street not even a 5 minute walk that are way more generous and authentic and have honest staff.
The gamjatang here is really, really tasteless... Its a really tasteless food, but the thought of foreigners eating this food thinking its Korean food makes me cry. As for the service and atmosphere, haha...because the food was so overwhelmingly tasteless, I dont even remember the service or atmosphere. Why did I eat something like that on the way out? The taste makes me criticize my brain.
Ahhhh....their chicken wings . From the seasoning to frying, every step is so succesful to the point I never ate such # taste. Salted but not too much, crunchy but not too hard, just upon the optimal point of cooking. +fresh meat. Even after consuming them 20 minutes after taking out, it was crunchy.
Woooww the food is so top notch and very nice server
Superb Korean food! My go to place on a Friday/weekend night. The owners are so sweet, and the servers are always on top of their stuff. Their kimbap is always super fresh. Seafood pancake is a must, and their rice cakes are super soft and chewy. Their soups have an amazing flavour. Big fan of their bulgogi soup and soft tofu soup. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a family-run place, unlike the bigger chain restos.
Great bibim bap! And today we tasted the beef BBQ, excellent! The place is calm and quiet, great for talking with friends.
Service is very good and the food too. Cozy place and traditional korean artwork on the walls.
Good korean place to eat if youre in the neighborhood, service and noodles stood out for me.
The dishes are delicious!!!
One of the best Corean restaurent. Very clean, excellent quality, professional costumer service, I strongly recommend. Also, the best Kim Chi ever tried in Montréal.
Although the restaurant could use a fresh coat of paint, you will be impressed by the huge variety of korean dishes present on the menu. They offer excellent service during lunch and the bulgogi porc and rice cakes are just as good.
Absolutely lovely restaurant, delicious food (especially love their soft tofu soup, sun dubu). We ve taken out all the time, finally ate there and atmosphere inside is fine, but servers are really friendly and the dishes taste even fresher (some come still boiling!) so fresh
Absolutely delicious! Beautiful fresh ingredients, impeccable service, clean, friendly and affordable. Beautiful dishes! We ate very well and will come back!
My favourite restaurant in mtl by far, great service and the food is delicious and very authentic. 100 percent recommend
I used to go there after school back in 2018/2019 I really enjoyed the food and service and they used to put a lot of side dishes. Last time I checked it was closed. Now that it is open, I cant wait to go
Very nice server. COVID seems to have really reduced their business by quite a lot, but their waiter is always super cheerful and nice.
I ve only ever ordered delivery because of the pandemic and the food is great every single time! Can t wait to go eat in the restaurant!
Very good authentic Korean food and good prices, conveniently close to Cote Vertu metro and very cozy location. The bibimbap was delicious, served on a sizzling plate.
Very good kimbap. One of the only places in Montreal where you can eat budae jjigae.
Delicious, spicy as can be. Fairly fast service.
Gimbap are excellent! Affordable prices and great service
Excellent Korean BBQ. High prices. Uninteresting atmosphere. But the food is to be discovered.
Pretty good place, friendly service.
Despite ordering from them after they had come back from break, the food ordered (gimbap) was slightly dry. However what was more displeasing was the tteobeokki that was in a large container and barely filled 1/4 of the container.. barely had any spicy sauce inside the container along with the rice cake, to top it off, there was a piece of paper inside the container stuck on the food... wasted quite a large amount (for the total amount) for such little quantity which was also disappointing based on its quality. Wouldnt recommend ordering gimbap and tteobeokki, however I dont know how their other dishes taste like, so I will not comment on them.
Gamja tang was delicious but had a bit too much pig scent. A bit of cinnamon or something could have helped. Chicken katsu was super thin and dry and came with 3 tiny pieces of picked radish, 2 tiny pieces of broccoli, and a small cabbage salad. Ttukboki was good and the portion was ok. Overall, the food tastes good, but they are really lacking in the side dishes department. Normally when you order an equivalent dish from other korean restaurants, you get kimchi+another side dish with kamja tang, and more than just 3 tiny pieces of radish/2tiny pieces of broccoli with the katsu.
Delicious !!!
My favorite korean restaurant in all of Montreal! I have eaten from there many times and I ve never been disappointed. The food is always tasty and the service is good. Great place for delicious korean dishes.
I would give 10 stars if google allows me to. Meals are prepared with love and care. Delicious fried chicken wings, bimbibap and tofu soup. Will keep coming back.
The food tatsted bland and they used a lot of cheap vegetable fillers for their bibimbap.
Amazing food ,
The best
One of my favorite restaurants! If you havent tried it yet, I recommend it.
Ive eaten here and brought different people here several times and the verdict is always: delicious. The quality of the meals has never gone down, everything just bursts with flavour, and the portions are generous for the price. The staff has always been courteous, too. When its such a short walk from the Côte-Vertu metro, what are you waiting for?
Good food, very delicious and good service
The food is very good. I recommend to everybody
The food is delicious and the server was very courteous & friendly
Good food
This is my favorite Korean to go restaurant in Ville Saint-Laurent. The service is very good. Food are well presented and taste amazing. The pancake is goto starter and don t forget to order your drink.
Everything was quite nice and really filing and the grape drink was everything. If you choose to go for appetizers, try the dumplings. They were really tasty
Panchan game : 0/10 : steamed broccoli with sesame oil and salt.. bruh.... Bruhhhhhh... Brooooooooooo but.... The waiter was super nice .. I dont know ..
Highly recommended for Korean food fans!
Our go to place for excellent Korean food. I love their seafood udon in hot stone bowl. It was boiling hot when served.
bad service,no side dish , I need to ask for it.
Very good food and not expensive
Number 19 in menu.
Went for my wifes birthday and we ordered the Dak Galbi but something was wrong with the marinade... told the server but they kept saying that it is as usual. We always eat the same thing and that day, it wasnt... they kept arguing with us. Imo, the least they could do is cook another one but no... worse, they charged us the plate even if we didnt eat it. Because of this experience, we will never go back.
Outstanding service, reasonable price, and really good taste! Will come here again
They didnt want to give me anymore kimchi. kimchi cost almost nothing. the meal was expensive and the portions were small. If you want to go to a good Korean restaurant near Côte Vertu, go next door to Mon Ami.
Edit 2020: Now very disappointing, not bad per se but very little meat, no side dish refills (and we were 5 and there was barely enough for 2) and bad service - we have to ask the waiter to remove empty plates all the time. My last time unfortunately. Small family restaurant, excellent Korean food, reasonable prices.
Beautiful place with lots of decorations. Their food are well made and the employees are really nice
The Crew is so accommodating. Foods are fantastic! one of the most legit Korean foods I had taste in MTL. If someone is looking for legit Korean food, I suggest you visit this resto. Definitely will come back!
Very tasty food and a decently short walk from the metro
Fresh, and tastes great! Awesome service as well
Good food, good service
Big portion for a big price. First of all, they are being SO CHEAP WITH THE SIDE DISHES when it barely costs anything. Only 2 sides ridiculously small, literally in 5 cm diamter dishes (see pics). Extra side involves a cost of 3 $ EACH. I ordered soondubu jigae with beef and it cost 14 bucks. Beef is NOT the high quality one and you can HELLA taste it. Tendons everywhere and super rough. Teokbokki is WATERY (like a soup, only a few ricecakes, NOT CHEWY and all MUSHY, and the few cheese flakes all dispersed in that teokbokki SOUP. Im sorry but gotta whats the use of making bigger portion when the standards is not there? No next time, ciao
I like the beef kimbap, I could eat it everyday :)
Very good!
The guy that attended to me was very nice and patient even with my hyper active boy.
Delicious and affordable, best bibimbap in Montreal in my opinion, very tasty, I like that they have 3 choices of sauce for it. Also like the Kimbap, there was a dish of sautéed chicken and vegetable I forget the name it was beyond delicious and a bit addictive its so good. The dishes are presented very prettily. Only negative comment is the service a bit slow there should be more than 1 server, the place was too busy for only one waiter.
Quite pricey. The service varies depending of the server. Service can be very slow.
Nice clean and well decorated place. Good tasty meals.
Nice and clean place. The food was good and the server was nice
Bibimbap off the chain service is good. Restaurant is a great size, ambiance nice. I will be back to try the soups for sure....looking at what others ordered got me drooling and I am full already.
A really nice family run restaurant. We had the pork bone soup and the bim bim bap. Both were delicious. Really lucky to have a good Korean restaurant like this one in VSL. Love the mesmerizing K-pop playing in the background.
What a great discovery! Food is authentic & made to perfection. Can not wait to go back and try other dishes.
Authentic korean food made by Koreans
Authentic Korean food; highly recommended! I loved it from the veggie dishes to the pork rib soup, the best I ve had in Montreal! Excellent service and nice ambiance also!
great selection of korean food. Service is good. ambience is relaxing with korean music.
amazing
I haven t been to Korea, nor have I learned about Korean dishes other than a Netflix show, but this food felt very authentic, the vibe seemed spot on, cozy, friendly. The food was truly great, the broth, the marinades, everything felt like a cozy, family, home made meal. 10/10 will go again, detour is also recommended.
Soft tofu soup was trash taste. Chicken dori tang had literally 7 pieces of small chicken meat. Not recommending for authentic korean food.
Really bad service,no side dish , I need to ask for it,no water until we finished the foods.
Friendly staff and great quality of food for a great price. Totally recommend.
The server there is really nice! The food is also great~ It feels nice and clean with good Kpop as the background music
Staffs are very friendly. The foods are delicious and authentic
Very good but lacks flavor
Just went there for lunch. Bento box is not korean, the taste is ok.
their jamppong was very disappointing. Barely any seafood and the little mussels were very not fresh.
The food is good, but need to wait for about 30 mins.
Good food and good service
Taste good. Staff is polite.
Very good !!!!!
Very nice place, love the food and the people working here
family business. friendly staff and food was good.
Cute little space to eat. Food was great and service was superb
Typical place, decent service, very good food, good location
Nice and clean. I like their soups.
Very cozy and cool, although it doesnt have a grill on the table. So all the grilling will be done with the chef behind the counter. Service is average.
The bibimbap is excellent
The waitress did not speak French. We managed to be served in English. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. The menu is huge, there is no shortage of choice
Disappointed a bit by the portion size. I ordered a bibimbap and I think it could have more beef in it. I felt that half way through the meal I was basically only eating rice. Same story with the miso soup given at the beginning, it s half a bowl that you ll usually receive from any Far East restaurant. The service and cleanliness of the place are ok though.
I recommend the bibimbap! Everything is good, but few vegetarian options
Delicious food
Excellent varied menu. Seems to be family run. They have all the classics.
Love the bento boxes at lunch time. Decent prices, good and comforting Korean food although not amazing. I like the fact that it seems family run and is homey, definitely a go to for when my family and I have a Korean food craving and don t feel like driving far to downtown !
Slow and not very attentive service, acceptable food but far from being great. For a plate you will pay around 15 Can. I am not planning to come back.
Good food. There was a little wait to get are order in
Absolutely loved the food. Tasty. There is a good variety. Portions are generous for the price. I will definitely go back again.
Very good restaurant, courteous people!!
Very good place. Nice and friendly staff.
Lit and cooked
Really nice experience! The food there was delicious and the Korean videos were just as delicious. Slightly expensive, but worth it.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Healthy and Fresh korean food. Serves Korean BBQ as well, that you can cook yourself.
Very nice people and even greater cooks!
I personally recommend the most delicious Lappoggi
If Im able to put no star I would. I came to eat and it took the waitress over 25 mins to take our order and actually my mother had to walk to her to order, not at our table. Then I ordered a shrimp and squid bento lunch box, came with 1 shrimp in the size of a dime and loads of cabbage and onions. All they said was it came like that, nothing they can do. If you put in the menu shrimp and squid, but end up being mixed seafood, put mixed seafood. I canceled the order. Its just unacceptable. Im NEVER going back.
Food was okay. Nothing impressive. Quite pricey though.
Reasonable price, variety of food, a must when you miss Korean food!
Waiter was nice. The army stew didn t impress me. Very little meat and veggies, majority of the soup was the pack of ramen. Finally, the seafood pancake was really large and it was filled with many types of seafood.
Good quality, authentic, large menu of Korean staples. Decent place to stop by for a meal if youre in the corner.
The dish served does not represent the picture in the menu. Server did not know anything. Really disappointed by the restaurant..
Great korean food, friendly staff, at affordable prices. Will definitely come back
Alright
Great place, great food & great service
I actually never write a review, however, I felt like I really should write one after visiting this place yesterday. As I have been living in Ville Saint-Laurent for the last 10 years, I have visited this restaurant since the opening day. I know that there were several owner changes in this restaurant. Still, the food was always great, they were kind, they were generous in quantities and all. However, I havent visited for awhile before going back yesterday. The owner has changed this time again, and this time is terrible. As being a Korean, I know how Korean food, or a fusion version of it, should taste like. Honestly, the food was terrible. My favorite dishes in this restaurant have changed. They just do not taste good. The tofu soup does not taste good. They have decreased the amount of seafood in the soup. It does not even taste like tofu soup anymore. Normally, the side dishes are a must in a Korean restaurant. However, I never saw a Korean restaurant serving this tiny amount servings of their side dishes. They had 3 kinds of side dishes served. 3 extra small pieces of kimchi and 3 tiny pieces of potato...I was with my mom, my child and me, 3 people, but they were served in the same quantities for 1 or 2 people. If you know about Korean food, you will notice that this is not right. Ive never seen this size of side dishes in a Korean restaurant + I never been to a Korean restaurant where they decided to charge 3$ for a refill of 3 pieces of a side dish. *Some restaurants do ask for extra charges for side dishes because of some exaggerating people, however, these restaurants advise in advance of the extra charge at least on the menu (maximum 1.50$~2$), also the quantity is not the same as Ave Seoul (Ave Seouls side dish quantity made me laugh). In most of time, we can ask for refills for side dish in Korean restaurant. ***Usually, I dont even have to ask for refills, but the quantity of side dish in this restaurant did not make sense. I wish I could give 0 star, but no choice. I feel pity on the waiters.. I miss the old owners! I will never go back, stay away from this restaurant if you want a meal that would be meant for a regular person. There are plenty of better Korean restaurants in Canada.
Really bad flavor.. shame
Nice and cozy place to eat some good Korean food. Prices are great, portions are filling and the customer service is good. This is my go to place to satisfy my korean food cravings.
Several excellent dishes - very good pajeon, bulgogi dishes, kimbap. Service is slow, but friendly. Menu is confusing in the way its organized, but has a lot of helpful pictures.
Awesome store, kind employees and affordable priced Korean food.
Good, but the bibimbap was bland.
Always got great spicy food for people who are in love with spicy foods.
I ordered some seafood dish and it was mostly smoked mussels and little chunks of squid!!! And it was for $12.95 +tax!!!
Tried many Bento boxes. Good way to try many different things. The quality is good. The taste is good.
Good food. Fast and dynamic service. Unfortunately, only available in English :(
The food here is actually pretty good! The service is great, but other employees dont speak much English other than our waitress, which made it hard to ask for something. The food here seems authentic and well prepared. Would recommend!
