Japanese, Thai & Sichuan cuisine in a casual space with regular & tatami tables, plus a BYOB policy.
Been eyeing this place for a few years now, and it was amazing! We ordered the combo 4 for 2 people and there is crazy amount of value in it. You’ll be very full and satisfied trying so many varieties they put out. My personal favourite is the salt & pepper fried shrimp, super addictive!! Will definitely be coming back to try out their other items!
I visited this restaurant with my family, and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, with generous portions, one dish can easily serve two people. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. While the prices are a bit above average for this type of restaurant, the quality makes it worthwhile. Parking can be challenging depending on the time of your visit, but it’s manageable. The cozy, clean interior makes it a great spot for families, and I’d definitely recommend it.
Enjoyed the food and quantity was good Spring rolls Dimsums with peanut dipping sauce Noodles in Black bean sauce Taste wise food was good and ambience was quiet. It was a decent experience for the cuisine.
the food was really good and the waitress was very nice!
We have eaten in the restaurant several times and have always had a great experience. We have eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants and my mum really loves this place. The service we received was very good. We were 4 people and ordered 4 dishes. We had leftovers. This time we had the snow peas (nice and crispy), the sweet and sour fish (nice batter), the noodles with beef and black bean sauce (very tender beef) and the pad Thai (delicious!). My mother went back a subsequent time to have the noodles with beef again because she enjoyed it so much. We will be going back to Yanna very shortly to try some other dishes. Update! We (5 people) went back this past weekend and ordered 6 dishes. We had the rice stick with beef, peppers and black bean sauce, the mixed seafood in bird's nest, the stir fried mixed vegetables, the stir fried snow pea pods, the salt and pepper fish fillet, and the peanut butter chicken. All the dishes were very good. We left very full and with leftovers! Will be back again!
We have always passed by the restaurant & this evening, we decided to stop for dinner. Wasn't too sure of the portion sizing so we ordered an extra dish to be on the safe side. To our surprise, the portions were large, everything was fresh, & tasted great! Tonight's menu, Singapore noodles, sweet & sour fish fillet, fried flat rice sticks with beef, & chinese broccoli with beef. Will go back! Edit: We have been back a few times for lunch & supper. Never been disappointed! Do give this place a shot! Edit Nov 2, 2024 - great family lunch!
Beautiful experience at Chez Yanna. The portions are generous even for the combo meals for 2. If you're a big eater, it'll fill you up for sure. The good was good but not the best Chinese food I had. But with the affordable price, it was really good. I recommend it!
Was quite surprised as I've heard mixed reviews over the years. Never been until now, decided to go grab a bite on Christmas Day. They were very busy with pick up, take out and some in dining and despite that, the service was fast, friendly and the food was very delicious. Good portions and very reasonable pricing. We had their #4 for 2 and we ate very well and were full and all for $38.95. I would definately go back again and bring the family.
Very generous portions and nice atmosphere. Also food tasted really good. Definitely will come back! I recommend the general tao.
Excellent lunch special
Chez Yanna is an absolute gem! The food is nothing short of incredible, with authentic, local flavors that truly capture the essence of the region. Every dish feels like it s made with passion and care, using the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal. Whether youre a local or just passing through, Chez Yanna is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Beautiful food, delicious, sushi is fresh, highly recommended
The portion sizes are generous, and while most of the dishes are solid, the standout for me is definitely the salt and pepper pork chop. One star deducted, mainly because the shrimp curry could use more veggie variety, and the rice didn t taste fresh.
For lovers of uncooked vegetables and dry noodles. Noodles softened with their club price style Asian Chinese flavored sauces. But the chicken wings were good lol
Good portions and presentation, however the food I ordered was super super salty. Fried rice wasnt amazing also.
I ordered the fried noodle with beef and vegetables on Uber. The dish was almost entirely noodles with very little vegetable or meat. This ruined the dish for my partner and I and we did not enjoy it
Best Chinese food in St-Laurent. Family owned business that puts a lot of hard work into their consistent quality. Freshest Chinese food I ve ever had and a really unique menu. Highly recommend!
I ve tried every Chinese place on Decarie between Cote Vertu and Du College and Chez Yanna is the best one. The food is just delicious. I ve done take out and dine in and it s consistently good every single time. Never disappoints. Service is good and the place is clean and attractive.
Pleasant, quiet place, the cuisine is delicious and the owners are friendly.
Very nice discovery. It was very good but I give 4 stars because the Won ton soup tasted like water unfortunately. I was not given any condiments despite my request for approval. Otherwise nothing to complain about and I would go back (but without Won ton soup haha)
The food is delicious ! Portion is generous!
Went there yesterday with my husband and were very pleased with the quality and the service of this restaurant. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The lady owner is very nice. So the service was excellent. We had tried it a while back and wasnt impressed. But since yesterday they have redeemed themselves. They even have lunch specials which we didnt know. (FYI for the owners your young male waiter needs more étiquette with his cleanliness, we saw him picking his nose once and the other time we went he was clipping his nails behind the counter, disgusting)
I ordered the lemon chicken and vegetable fried rice. They were both ok, but the taste was somewhat off. I would give them 3.5 stars, but I put 4 giving them the benefit of the doubt. The lemon chicken had a good amount of white meat, but the taste of that whie meat was average. It was surrounded by white uncooked batter which fortunately fell off easily. When a meat is fried in very hot oil, the juices are kept inside the meat and makes it delicious. I think this meat was a tad boiled and a bit dry because the oil was not enough.
Great food, not too crowded. Typical chinese food but without that fast food feel.
Loved the lobster with ginger, they have a special single or 2 people. Very clean place, great service for sure Ill be back, I was very impressed
Great great food. My favorite local restaurant.
Just ordered uber eats from Chez Yanna, and it surely will be the last. Ordered six dishes mix of noodle, seafood and vegetables. Just spent $140 on the worst, bland chinese food I have ever eaten. Not even one dish was palatable, only tasted of salt. Had to find something else for dinner because my wife and kids hated the food. Ended up throwing everything in the trash!
when youre very weird texture chicken actually looks like a creature. it was just nasty.
Food, prices and service are amazing at this resto! Plus is BYOB so is really worth it
My fav near college restaurant
Very good affordable chinese food in Saint Laurent,, dont forget to try their Ginger lobster if you love LObster!
Very good food and friendly staff.
I bring everyone I know here at least once or twice a month. You wont get better food for the price and you wont get friendlier staff anywhere else for that same price. Ive at most spent $20 per person and have always been stuffed at the end. This place has been here since I was a teen (26 now) and it lasting as long as it has is only a testament to the amazing people running it.
Excellent ! We had vegetarian spring rolls, beef with ginger and shallots, delicious!! Then some super good beef and broccoli too. Very good first experience
Best salt and pepper shrimp. Love the young lady working on Friday evenings!
Excellent food, courteous service and very clean restaurant Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian dishes Parking: On the street Kid-friendliness: Family
The food tastes amazing. If you are looking for chinese food in the Saint-Laurent area, it is probably the best place. Their service is very good as well when I asked for more containers since we did not have dishes at a new place. They left me a very nice note. Would recommend this place, it is underrated.
For Chinese take-out and delivery this is a pretty good option! The portions are huge and we always have leftovers which actually taste pretty good the next day. It s never overly greasy like some other spots and customer service is great. I don t like the unsustainable take-out packaging and I think some dishes lack depth of flavour. I will happily order from here whenever I m craving convenient and dependable Chinese food.
Very good Cantonese food outside of Chinatown. Always friendly service.
I ordered take out from this delicious restaurant, my order was fresh, accurate, delicious and good portions. Service was excellent, I will go back again and again
DELICIOUS! Homestyle Cantonese cuisine! Beef Broccoli Chow Mein
Excellent food, so tasty and good portions. We ordered general Tao, salt and pepper squid, salt and pepper chicken and tofu, beef Chinese broccoli and salted fish fried rice. I will eat there or order again for sure
When they 1st opened, they were generous on portions. Now? ridiculously cheap! I ordered shrimps for two (take out.) Im not kidding there were 6 shrimps total. What the heck is going on? I understand gas prices went up for the delivery truck - blablablah. But really? Hm thats it... im done with them.
Unfortunately, a previous 5 star review has been removed. My last experience was very disappointing, I thought I had found a new go to restaurant. The takeout order was not enjoyable, it wasn t all fresh. The salt and pepper shrimp were a let down. I guess I will keep looking for a good place.
Wow what a fantastic little restaurant everything taste absolutely fresh and homemade. The service is spot on. It is my second time there and I feel that it tasted even better. Quel endroit magnifique et délicieux. Les mets sont frais et le service est fantastique.
Ate here several times. The food has always been amazing. My only issue is the guy behind the cash. First time we went, there was a girl who was so welcoming, went above and beyond for service, refilled our water and etc so no problem giving a tip.The last 2 times we went there was this tall skinny guy who literally does nothing but since behind the cash and is either on his phone or laptop, doesnt check up on us and then gets upset when we dont tip him. Someone needs to tell that kid to actually do some work if hes going to expect a tip instead of being lazy and watch videos all day.
the duck and chicken soup is very good
Perfect quiet chinese restaurant with BYO and very good food for the money. Unsure why its not more highly rated.
I ordered the chicken fried rice and fried chicken wings. - very well packaged - large quantity: filled bowl of rice and 8 large chicken wings - delicious, I will recommend again
Impeccable restaurant. Delicious, fresh ingredients and a soothing atmosphere. The imperial rolls and tofu general tao are amazing! And the vegetables? Wow! A local favorite.
Not a good take out experience. On doordash, everything is $2 more than the dine-in menu
First time visiting this restaurant on a Monday night, the food and service was simply amazing! Definitely going back, the waitress was super friendly.
Very good food, however it is not possible to be served in French. I doubt the legality of this.
The food is really tasty, the service is perfect.
Very delicious food and friendly staff.
I was a regular at this restaurant. Going there once or twice a week. Today I was treated very poorly. Customer service not even 1 star.
Good for lunch
Nice size portions and great tasting
Best Cantonese/Chinese food Ive tasted so far! All is freshly cooked, family owned restaurant, you can taste the love of homemade food in every bite! Staff is courteous, respectful and always attentive, definitely recommend!
Recently found this quiet, family-run restaurant. Dishes are exceptional as well as the service.
Every dish we took was pretty salty Service was decent atmosphere is cosy Food
I thought it was delicious. The salt and pepper shrimp was a good portion, between two people we ordered two plates and there was still leftover. Reasonable prices too. One thing to improve would be no celery in the beef nest.
Sluggish service make me not want to go here during lunch during work hours.
A casual and a family favorite Chinese dining place. Its very popular in Saint Laurent. Their menu is huge with a variety of dishes that satisfy every taste. Their portions are generous and I love that they use large size shrimps. Service is quite fast. Many people order take out but we prefer to dine in. They have two big round tables that can accommodate 8+ ppl.
Its been so long since Ive had consistent, amazing and tasty Chinese food. Big portions, lots of meat, and just well flavored!
Food was very good, but the service was lacking. We ordered one of the set dinners with 4 plates, and the waiter brings them out 1 at a time, over a 14 min period, with the rice last. And I wouldnt call it busy, there was only 1 other table in thd place. Never refilled the tea either. But the food is great, hage ordered takeout a few times, guess I just wont be eating in here in the future
Excellent dishes incorporating a wide range of very fresh ingredients. Flavourful and not too salty. Extensive vegetarian menu with several vegan options plus accommodations to offer more. Servings are generous for most dishes and prices are fair.
I really like this place. Everything ordered was solid. Good, authentic flavors you expect and quality ingredients.
Excellent food This is the first time ever ordering from this place. Very huge portion. Come really really hot. Fast delivery. I will definitely order again.
I was surprised and found this restaurant is the best compare with other Chinese restaurant in vill st Laurent
General Tao was really good and juicy hopefully when i go back it will taste the same !! keep up the good taste
Update: we gave it another chance and this time no problems. Combo 4, Perfect quantity for 2 with a few leftovers for lunch. Bad service when taking orders this evening. The man spoke no French and incomprehensible English. He was not able to write down my address, which was very simple. I canceled everything. I didnt want to receive anything or wait for nothing because my order was sent elsewhere.
Prices are very high, compare to neighbouring Asian restaurants in the area. I was going to order Beef & Broccoli when I saw it priced at $16.95, I told myself, no way am I going to pay that price. I went to another restaurant a little north, and paid $11.95, and it was delicious, large portion, no rice. I saved $5.00 dollars.
Worst noodles ever. Part over cooked and part under cooked. Got my delivery order wrong even after repeating it twice.
Very delicious dishes and the quantity justifies the price. Very nice waitresses. Ps: lobsters are on sale.
A good option, but they are not always consistent.
A nice discovery in the neighborhood. We were craving Chinese food and we usually go to another restaurant but Im glad we discovered Chez Yanna. The portions are big enough for you to share if you want, or to bring home if you cant finish (which we did). Overall good experience, I recommend.
Quite disappointed with the attitude of the waitress whom wasn t accommodating for one person when I asked for a table. She seems annoyed and bothered. Would have love to encourage the local community and tryout their lobster ginger and shallot but I didn t end up staying as I wasn t feeling comfortable by the service. Not picky, but I hate to be look down on.
Very satisfaying. Meets my expectations based on the price. Worth coming back to try something else. Its very obvious that they are popular for delivery orders (doordash or others) because the influx of people was constant.
Must go!! The food is delicious, the portions are very generous and the service is always great. I strongly recommend.
My go to chinese place with my boyfriend! Most dishes we like a lot (especially the noodle dishes) but some less, like the pineaple chicken: it was 90% dough with tiny chicken pieces inside
I ordered a general tao. Paid over 20$ and come to find it didnt come with white rice. The chicken was chewy, overly cooked and was so extremely sweet it could be placed on the dessert menu. I feel like there was no care at all in the preparation of the food and I feel like I got scammed. Money went straight to the trash. Please save yourself trouble&money dont order from this place. PS: I wish I could give negative star score but the lowest rating is one star.
Absolutely atrocious experience, not good at all. Food is prepared with little to no care. Overcooked and chewy chicken floating in a pool of extremely sweet sauce that is sugary enough to clog your arteries, flavors are completely off. Horrible experience. Save yourself some money and stay far away from this restaurant. Im not doing this mistake twice, enjoy my money because Ill make sure nobody I know order from this place ever again. Absolute joke, had to order a pizza because their food was inedible.
One of the best Chinese restaurant you can find in Saint-Laurent. Be sure to try it out!
Everything tastes good here!! Quality and quantity all in one place. The textures are all on point too Definitely the best chinese food in Ville Saint-Laurent.
I dont know about the bad reviews but the food is delicious and i got treated with respect and the waiters were funny and joyfull
I ate there with my wife last night. Excellent food, fresh ingredients - very tasty. Also, impeccably clean restaurant. We will be returning with the family!
Second time visit, if you are the fan of authentic Chinese food, I would definitely recommend this place. Friendly family own staff, generous servings.
I often go to Yannas house. The dishes are very fresh and of good quality, my family really likes them. The owners service attitude is very enthusiastic and highly recommended. The name of the dish I ordered is Ginger Lobster Salt and Pepper Pork Chops Green Beans. Ill try other dishes there next time!
Delicious salt and pepper porc!!! One of the best seasoning I had! The only little complain I have is that it was not really crispy, but it was still delicious!
I would say that this place is an outstanding low quality Chinese food experience. Amazing decorations, menu and service. Very clean including the bathroom. All that is 5 stars. The food however is your typical unimpressive chinese food with no balance of flavor or particularly fresh ingredients standing out. All you will taste is strong notes of sugar, msg, salt pepper. I would bet that a lot of their meals are frozen industrial products and sauces to begin with. With that said, for what it is, it did taste okay, portions are big, the eat in experience is very good. If you are into low quality artificial chinese food, this is a great restaurant to have it. If you want high quality fresh ingredient food made from scratch, this is not the place.
Consider my score to be more of a 3.5 than a 3.0. Today I placed an order at about 5:30pm to be delivered and paid for by cash at anywhere between 8pm and 8:30pm. The order arrived at approximately 8pm, so the timing was perfect and there were no issues there. The young lady who took my order by phone was also very kind, polite and patient as I asked her to check a few things for me before placing my order. She even appreciated me calling back and double-checking the order with her at 7:40pm. No issues there. However, the same could not be said for the delivery driver. When he told me he thought the tip was a bit low, I was sympathetic and even wanted to suggest that I go back and get him some extra money. However, the man would not stop talking long enough for me to say anything. In addition, he proceeded to lecture and badger me about the free delivery, and I lost any sympathy for him due to his incessant and entitled whining. He also made false claims: 1) That this had been a difficult order: I had no special requests, was located very nearby, and so my address was not difficult to find. 2) That they normally did not deliver to my address: My address was a close one and I even double-checked it with a trial web order before calling, so my address was always covered by their restaurants delivery. As for the food itself, it was fine, if not great: 1) Won Ton soup: A good taste, but the broth was a bit dark and spicy. Each won ton was nicely filled with meat, but said meat could have been a little more tender. 2) Egg rolls: Good fried texture, nicely crisp, good vegetables, and a good accompanying sauce, not too sweet and not lacking in taste. 3) Chicken fried rice: Good texture overall, vegetables were not mushy, but the rice was a bit lacking in soya sauce (saltiness). The chicken was a tad too soft but not bad. 4) Chicken chop suey: The mushrooms and bean sprouts were good, but the dish was severely lacking in mushrooms, I barely saw any. The chicken was definitely nearly undercooked, a bit too mushy. 5) Dry garlic spareribs: Ribs are very tasty, the sauce is good, but the meat is a bit tough and could use a bit more tenderizing. Taste of garlic is a bit too strong. 6) Pineapple chicken: Easily the best dish of the whole order. The sauce was perfectly seasoned and the ground chicken texture was perfect for such a dish. No complaints at all here. 7) Fried noodles Cantonese style (essentially Cantonese chow mein): Usually an easy winner for me, but was unfortunately lacking in meat and vegetables: I counted maybe 2 pieces of pork, no visible chicken, and 4 shrimps, and the vegetables that were visible were very few in number, drowned in noodles and sauce which, unfortunately, was slightly lacking in taste. In summary, my experience for a first time order with a new restaurant was generally good. The food could be improved upon a bit in places, but Im willing to allow that a later order could be to blame. Overall, the customer service experience with the lady who took my order was excellent, but the delivery driver needs to better learn what a tip is and how it works. He did not manage to ruin this experience for me, however, thankfully.
Fried noodle cantones style , noodle was hard not crispy and it isnt enough meat in the dish.
Update: Ordered again at Chez Yanna through Ubereat but very disappointed about the unsustainable packaging. The broth/sauce spilled out and the bags broke (photo 5 & 6). My all time favorite at Chez Yanna: Stir-Fried Rice Noodle Singapore style, Pork Chop with Peking Sauce, Fried Flat Rice Sticks with Beef, Hot and Sour pork soup (photo 1-4)
Very Very tasty!!! and good price
Delicious food! This will be my favourite Chinese restaurant. Highly recommended
Just tried Chez Yanna for the first time. Amazing delicious Chinese- Cantonese comfort food, cooked perfectly. Im so happy their in my neighborhood. Clean and friendly establishment, will be back for more!
Ordered a few dishes for pick-up (try to avoid Uber Eats, Skip, etc as much as I can). Friendly phone manners and service. Good experience from ordering to pick-up. Enjoyed the beef fried noodles.
Phone service polite and order was ready on time for pick up.Had combo for two.people, soup wonton was okay, only two egg rolls in total, seems cheap.Chow mein ok rice was bland .ribs dry. Lacking substance , It is a new place when things get back to normal will give it another try.
The best service and food is really good ! I am ordering often for company and myself too! Thanks
The beef tastes like bovine.Got sick from eating there. BEWARE.
I ordered for the first time last night. The food was incredible and I m glad to have finally found such a great Chinese restaurant in my area of St. Laurent!
Great Chinese food with good options. You can order by phone or through their website, be sure to call and get a confirmation on the time, during peak period expect delay, especially Saturday evenings.
Very good Cantonese fried rice.
Excellent cantonese food. Salt + pepper shrimp , chicken in black bean sauce w/ crispy noodles , peanut butter dumplings , egg rolls and spring rolls were all 10/10. Will definitely return.
Delicious! Costs! Courteous service! Excellent vegetarian choice! The prices are very reasonable. We are delighted!
I wish I could add more stars as 5 stars is not enough. Their schrimp with mayonaise is beyond marvellous! Egg rolls, peanut butter dumplings, general tao chicken, crispy noodles with chicken and black bean sauce... I can keep going on and on. Any dish Chez Yanna is winner. The portion size, the freshness, the flavors Chez Yanna has it all. We are fans and will be back regularly! Yanna, thank you and keep making great food!
The chef recommendations section is really good.
Prices reasonable, good portions, but not very tasty. A child was crawling on the counter. Customers waiting for their orders not wearing masks. Food was meh. The chow mein was 50% big chunks of raw onion, chicken tough. Good for those watching their weight as one doesnt care to eat much of this.
We really enjoyed our meal! Big portions, everything was very fresh. Highly recommended :)
Came for lunch and was extra pleased with the food. Authentic Cantonese flavors, couldnt be happier to find this gem !
Amazing ! You have to try it!
I had to change my review from 4 to 5 stars without any doubt. We ordered last night online and couldnt be more satisfied. Great online page and great food.
Enjoyed a nice
We found our new go-to chinese resto in VSL! Food came out hot and was delicious. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced, good portion.
Great authentic cantonese food. Big portions and great taste!
Restaurant opened in October during the pandemic. Today was the first day we ate here and the food was AMAZING! It was some of the best food I have eaten in a while. Prices are fair and the owner is very friendly.
Very good food
Food was fresh and seemed to be good quality. I ordered a preset meal. Beef and brocolli was very good. Fried rice good. My partner enjoyed shrimp (i dont eat shrimp). The only thing we didnt really enjoy was the général tao, which was verryyyyyy sweet and tasted more like sweet and sour sauce to us. It was kind of ketchupy to me. Good if you enjoy sweet sauces, but we were not the biggest fan. I would order again and try out some other dishes, as the quality seemed quite high (from someone who has spent their whole life eating food on decarie).
the foods bussin my guy oh my lord
Authentic, recommended fish-flavored eggplant and dry-fried beef river
I went there for lunch and everything was delicious. I ordered eggplant, chicken wings, Cantonese chow mein and ginger beef, not forgetting the wonton soup (5 wontons in a wonderful broth) and the eggrolls! So, way too much for two people, but I wanted to bring some back for the next day. I would have given it 5 stars, but I took one off for the atmosphere. Its simple and clean, but nothing more. Its good for take-out or a quick meal.
Very tasty Cantonese food. Generous amount of dumplings in the wonton soup and vast selection of dishes of all kinds to choose from. I had the cashew chicken with vegetables and really enjoyed it. Would certainly go back.
I once had a decent meal but this time was absolutely terrible. The wonton soup tasted very bad, and whatever it was they tried to cover it up with soya sauce, and we had asked for hot and sour soup. I also found broken bits of bone in my food which I almost broke my teeth on, and very chewy chicken which means it wasn t gutted properly. I think this is the last time I order from here.
Placed an order based on google reviews but what a mistake. Our family s Order: - General Tao chicken - not a piece of chicken to be found, only thick breading - fried Cantonese noodles - completely soggy, wet and lacked taste - veggies - yes hard to screw up but the same bland sauce - salt/pepper shrimp - the were very good, hence 1 star - sticky rice - well, who can t make this right Complete waste of $75!!!
One of the most authentic Cantonese restaurants in Montreal.
Authentic!
This is the first time in order from this place we had a very big order and everything was very very good. You will see us soon back we wish you good luck
Super delicious food!!! Thank you!
Lots of variety of foods. Very nice and polite servers. Excellent service.
Early dinner on a Friday in pleasant company. Wanting to taste several hearty and tasty dishes, my godmother and I spoiled ourselves! We obviously brought some back because the portions were so generous and it made people happy. Everything was excellent and fresh: Hunan Dumplings with peanut sauce, Fresh stir-fried vegetables, Fried noodles with vegetables, Fried rice with vegetables, General Tao Chicken, Salt and pepper fried chicken (pancake batter style breading) as well as Salt and pepper squid. Tea served on arrival and, on request, at the end of the meal. Friendly service and very reasonable prices. Its great to be able to bring your own wine. The delivery experience last June was very good and I couldnt wait to eat there! Its done. Im definitely going back, its so delicious!
Different tastes of sushi than any other sushi restaurant...
Food is great and service is quick. A must try!!!!!
Friendly and clean atmosphere
Lost my pickup order and wouldnt even redo it with priority? Waiting another 20 mins on top of the 50 they suggested by phone? No thank you.
Even less! Worst service ever!
This is a such a shame that I have to give this a bad review. I used to order delivery for several years when I worked at an office nearby. I went in with a few of my co-workers and i was told there was no dumplings for wonton soup which I always ordered. The waitress was new but tried being positive. I was very disappointed on the quality as it was not good.
The environment is good and the taste is good.
Great service, very friendly staff, very generous portions and it tastes pretty good
Bonjour Yanna ! thank you so much for your great service , the food was amazing it was my first experience with your restaurant and I will be coming back for sure! I wish you the best !
Everything I ve eaten there is excellent. Cantonese chow Mein has great rich flavour, Hunan beef is delicious and salt and pepper shrimp some of the best!!
Ordered from here for the first time. The food was good. The woman who took my order was very friendly. The price was good. The only negative thing I can say is that I asked to change the chicken chop suey for chicken soo guy. I only got a few pieces of it in a very small container. I paid two dollars extra for that, it just seems they went cheap on the soo guy. All other dishes were a good size for two people. The soo guy, was good just for one person. I would still recommend this place cause the food was good.
It was the first time we ordered Chinese food take out. Portion are generous and food is very good. Typical Chinese fast food. Very good comfort food. My wife went to get the food inside today. She said the staff was super friendly. I recommend ordering from them. Supporting local business in the hood.
We ve been looking for a good Chinese take out place throughout the pandemic and we ve found a winner! Chez Yanna s food was delicious - large portions, flavourful and a variety of fresh vegetables (not just a couple carrots and cabbage that is the norm with some places). Staff also very friendly. Definitely recommend it.
Ran : This is an amazing place to discover good chinese food. I am a cook myself. The chef is simply the best in Montreal. Ive travelled a lot in Canada but I confirm that this little restaurant impressed me. Give a try , you wont regret.
Family run, friendly, good portions, and excellent food. Would recommend to my friends.
love this place! had the rice and shrimps it was sooooo good!!! definitely coming back
Second to non, better than 10s other Sushi Bar, and has delicious variety of chicken flavors
Not a real sushi shop but good enough and the ambience is stylish.
Good good and good price. Byob
Great food at a decent price
We had different bentos and combos. None of them were really tasty. I was surprised to see the wonton soup in a black broth. Gave it a shot and that confirmed my doubts: the broth wasnt really one and tasted artificially flavored. It also took a very long time for our orders to be ready and it even took some time for them to let me know I had to change my order, since they didnt have anymore steak. The only positive thing I can think of: waitress was very patient for our first time there.
Best sushi in Ville Saint Laurent. I went for my bd and the only complain i have is that they take a long time to bring the food... even if you are the only client in the restaurant
The person serving was slow to come as they were under staffed, and was in a great hurry to take our order; we had questions but had a hard time understanding the answers and were very pressed. The food (sushi and general tao chicken) was very average.
Went to this place based on other reviews claiming it was the best sushi place in Ville St Laurent... We went for lunch during the week as a family (kids and adults). Service is very slow (over 30 minutes before someone comes to get the order). Many items are not available and this is not marked anywhere, so when placing the order you are pressed to quickly decide on a more limited menu. Eventually the food arrives in batches (not all main dishes in the same span of 10 minutes). Quantity wise is good, but this is the only positive comment I can make about the food! Lots of undesired aftertastes, quality of fish for sushi very debatable. I will definitely not return.
It wasn t fresh, I had throw the sushi s away
They put green onion instead of a sashimi in the middle of fried maki roll.
Absolutely terrible! Service so slow it took over 45 minutes to get a few rolls. Many times the waitress served the wrong dish to other tables. When we went to pay for our miso soup (we were done waiting for our food that never came) they didnt even have change! I could have gone to the store, bought the ingredients and made the food myself and it would have been half the price! I would rather eat McDonalds than go back to this restaurant. Never step food in this place, the pho place nextdoor is infinitely better!
Amazing food design. But busy time the service is slow.
Not the best sushi place.... the fish wasnt fresh, its cheap I give it. But there were 7 of us and we ate for 3.
Nice service, tasty sushi, great service. They even have a high chair for a baby. Coming back more for sure.
Good service
Great food but had a terrible experience with service. At 9h30 pm, the waiter came to our table to tell us that they were closing. The restaurant had 3 other tables of people and technically their closing time is 10:00 pm. At 9:45 pm, he came again to rush us out in an abrupt way. This lady came out of the kitchen and yelled out in the restaurant We are closed!. We were in shock and so were the other tables. Havent finished our wine, we got up, paid and left with a bitter taste about this rude and non-conventional experience. Basically, we got kicked out of the restaurant because the staff wanted to be out of there by 10:00pm. Thats too bad because we are definitely never going back there even tough the food was great.
My favorite restaurant for the last 15 years I absolutely loved it and recommend this place, great quality for what you pay.
Just moved in hood, so were exploring:) We had home delivery it took about an hour which is ok, sushi where okay, not the best, but the soya sauce terrible, the cheapest soya sauce you buy at the market:( so we couldnt enjoy our meal. Not going back.
Had an amazing night with friends for someones birthday party. Great food and great service. All of my friends share this sentiment. The atmosphere is nice, place is clean. 10/10 would come again!
Good and consistent. However, cleanliness is questionable.
Super nice place. Really cheap. You have lots of things included, sushi, soup, main meals, etc. The orange beef was very good. Good service. Own. I recommend eating there. On delivery, its not as good simply because the food is lukewarm. And youre just not used to soy sauce... its the one with the red cap. Shes pretty good in my opinion.
I ordered from here for 6 years. Food is good, lunch specials are a steal but evening dinner service and delivery needs work. Few times took almost 2hours to get food. If you live in St Laurent, this is the best option, imo.
Good service and nicely prepared food
Always the best,
We ordered sushi for takeout and told them we would pick up around 6:30 pm. It was ready exactly when I got there, I watched them make the last roll. It was so fresh and delicious and honestly priced very well for the quality. We also had the shrimp tempura and veggie tempura, fantastic! Im so happy to have found this amazing place! Will definitely be going back.
Good and inexpensive sushi!
Extremely fresh, great quality, outstanding sushi. Love this place, my favorite sushi place in Montreal
The worse suchis I have had in my life...not tasty and bot fresh...was painful to eat that...do not get sick go to kyoto just other side of the street instead...I always go to kyoto and this time was close so I gave kekaki a try...what a bad experience...never come back again
I love this little place! Authentic, clean and delicious!
Good sashimi
