Authentic Xinjiang taste , elegant environment, considerate service, the best Xinjiang rice I have ever eaten in Montréal!

Have loved this place since opening but went tonight and we found rocks in the black fungus fried beef (5 of them). Almost broke a tooth. When mentioned to the staff they explained that there are rocks in their mushrooms because it comes from a chinese store which they don t wash properly?????? As if that were any consolation to us. Quite concerning that they were comfortable telling us they don t thoroughly wash their produce. No compensation was offered.

Really good combination of flavours and textures in this uyghur dish i would like to go back and some more and try the other dishes they serve and i highly recommend and it was our first time trying uyghur dish and it didnt disapoint Great Service.. ,,,

This was the first time I visited this restaurant. The food is authentic and it is made fresh. Very genuine taste. The service is good. The waitress helped us picking the food. The atmosphere of this restaurant was great. It is tastefully decorated. My only concern and request to the owner would be to fix the inside glass door. If the inside door is kept open, freezing cold air enters the restaurant and it is very disturbing for people sitting in the restaurant.

It s just delicious and the food is always fresh! The service is impeccable, the lady who took our order was very kind. I recommend!

Good place overall. Food is tasty, atmosphere is also good. Only thing I m not happy about is that the restaurant s door is not closing enough and there is wind coming in which is very uncomfortable and disturbing. I wouldn t recommend to sit near the door.

I have been in MTL for 6 years and have been to many restaurants from fine dining to fast food. This restaurant is one of our staples and the food is amazing. From the soup to the pilaf, from skewers to service, it is truly a 5 star restaurant in my book.

Food was okay, but service was subpar. Also the waitress was so focused on her cellphone that she got both of our orders wrong.

Charging 48$ for a family sized a simple soup (bouillon/quail and potato) was a bit expensive. Also, the service was not like it normally is. We asked for teaspoons about 3x and never got them, we had to go get it ourselves. Also, for the soup, we were given 4 bowls, but we were 5. It could have been better

If I could give a zero star, I would. I m never to write a negative review because I m all about supporting small businesses, but I will never support a business and business owner who is disrespectful, rude, and completely disgusting for no reason. I called to place my order for pick up, during the entire call with who seems like the woman owner, she was completely rude and disrespectful and rushed me through my order. I ve never never seen a business who wants the customer to order less. They didn t even have a lot of things on their menu despite me calling on their opening day. Once I arrived because I was paying cash, she ave me the price without the tax included. When I asked for a receipt, she was so annoyed an decided to charge me the full price with tax included. This is fine, however, she had an ignorant, condescending, and nasty attitude the entire time. I didn t end up taking the food because I will never ever support a business that is disrespectful. I ve dealt with several people my life however next met someone who was so rude for no reason at all. I will support every other Uyghur restaurant in Montreal but never this one.

I will not go back there. Food was dry and burnt. I mentioned it to the employee, who told me it was normal and thats it... I doubt it. The portions were small, and the plates are not well presented. Several dishes we ordered seem to have come straight out of the freezer. The restaurant was almost empty and the service and the food were not on point at all. I will not go back, nor invite friends or my family there. It s quite expensive and the quality and quantity was disappointing. I came out of the restaurant Miran with a feeling like I wasted my money.

All the time, I visit i enjoy the unique taste of the food. I appreciate that they serve fresh food so i understand it can take time. I recommend my all friends to visit it to eat food of excellent quality.

We really like coming to this restaurant, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The decoration is beautiful in oriental style and very cozy. The most important thing is that everything we tried was very tasty and handmade, like at home. The decor is unique, related to their culture. The staff helped us understand the menu and was well informed. The food quality & taste was amazing. I had Dry stir-fried beef Laghman, Lamb Kabab Skewers, Petir Manta & hot iron plate beef. The only down part, most of their chicken options were unavailable except their big chicken dish.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing. From the food to the service to the atmosphere. The food was exceptionally good, probably the best Uyghur food I ve had in my life! I definitely recommend everyone to come here and give it a a try! I promise it won t let you down!

I wish I could come back!!! This is by far the best Uyghur restaurant I have ever been to. I live in Toronto but if I lived in Montreal I would come here every day. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that is in the Montreal area. The staff were extremely nice, they even let my little brother have a free drink. They didn t complain when my family took a long time to order, the waiter stood and waited patiently. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, well lit, and most important clean. The food came out within 10-15 minutes, and we were a group of 9 people(2 families). The food it self did not disappoint. The flavor was absolutely delicious. The sauce just melted in my mouth, the smell was mouthwatering, the presentation was just as good, every dish was better than the last, there is absolutely nothing that I could even complain about this restaurant. Overall an extremely good restaurant, recommend to anyone near by, this is a go to spot in Montreal. Absolutely phenomenal food - full of flavour and very unique. Better than other Uyger food I ve had. We had ordered a bunch but our favourite was lamb kebab skewers, the lamb broth soup, the lamb samsa, the fried hand pulled noodles and the beef hot plate. Decor is also very pretty! The service is friendly and accommodating, a bit slow to come and re-fill the water but otherwise good. We appreciate that we were able to pray! It s also good for large groups. We were around 14-15 people and we sat at one long tables We will keep going back for more InshaAllah Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs for toddlers and since it s ground floor you can bring strollers.

The service was poor. Servers were slow. They constantly kept forgetting we asked for the menu and a to go box. After we asked for the third time they finally brought it to us. I don t know if they are hiring inexperienced staff but they should at least train them properly or hire better people. The plov was mediocre and the meet overcooked. The mantou wasn t my favourite but it was okay for people who don t know the proper taste of it. Noodles were good seemed like they were hand made. The worst thing about this place it s the service. They hire people who don t know the culture where the food is from and thus are clueless when they get asked about the ingredients used or the way the food is supposed to be served. Plus an incident that happened during our dining really put the final nail is the coffin. My dad usually gives big tips and this time he gave out the bare minimum on a 120$ + bill. BECAUSE THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. It was my brother s birthday and he bought champagne that we would drink when we got home, he put it next to him on the booth we were sitting at because he was reading the label or something. We had no intention of doing anything with it because we know it is a halal restaurant but one of the servers who we asked to get us a to go container came up to us out of nowhere. And with her biggest condescending smile went in a tangent oh how it is prohibited to drink here and we should not have it out. First of all rude on how she wouldn t let us explain and kept on taking. Then we said we were sorry because she practically wouldn t go away if we didn t. Then when leaving she gave my table the biggest side eye imaginable. Like im sorry, where is the professionalism?? Nowhere in this restaurant apparently. Plus we had like a mountain of empty plates we stacked to the side in the middle of our meal and they wouldn t pick it up. Wow how couldn t you not see the stack of plates if you saw the bottle my brother kept beside him on the booth??? Anyway for people already accustomed to central Asian/Uyghur food don t bother because it s not really worth it. The prices are not expensive for a reason. For the others who haven t tried this type of food it is a good first intro to them but get it to go if possible.

Ive been here multiple times and it was great every time. Decided to bring my family to try today and it was honestly very disappointing. Waiter told us there were many items sold out, thats fine. However we waited an hour for the first dish and even longer the rest of the dishes. Everything was very unorganized, we ended up leaving before even receiving the rest of the dishes. We explicitly explained an egg allergy. Waiter and manager claimed there were none, but my sister clearly had a allergic reaction...I understand contaminations are possible but at least be understanding. Owners attitude was not appreciated, waiters tried their best.

This restaurant was always a 5 stars for me when it comes to food, service and atmosphere. But sadly in 2 weeks i went twice: service was a desaster. Foods told on phone to be availabe then suddenly all wasnt availabe anymore once we came at reservation time. And the food taste has compeltely changed for the last 2 visits we had. Like completely different. Did the kitchen staff change? The pick up food today was a big disappointment compared to how it used to taste ...

Amazing Food! But the service is one of the worst Ive seen in years. We come in and no one greets us. We had to wave to the waitress and tell her we had a reservation. She brings us to the table but no menus...we wait like 5min and then we had to ask for the menu. We order and wait....we get one plate out of 5 after 20min and another one after 15min...we didnt realize that its been an hour and still didnt get all our food. We ask the waitress where is our plates and she comes back to tell us they are sold out of it while the table next to us got the same plate 10min before even tho they sat 30min after us...no apologies from the waitress or even the owner at the end....thats too bad because the food is amazing they are just lost and super disorganized

I called to ask about their halal meat supplier. Most Muslims only eat hand-slaughtered meat even though a lot of local restaurants only have machine-slaughtered. Some restaurants choose not to share the supplier. Thats ok. However the woman on the phone was very rude, told me I didnt know the supplier, that the meat was all halal and then hung up the phone. I wouldnt trust a business that is so eager to not answer questions and hang up on potential clientèle.

It was interesting to try a new type of chinese food! Combination of turkish/northern chinese. The decoration was nice with the turkish lights. Tried the different signature dishes, had different type of lamb dishes. Halal as well. Tried different spices! Price was higher than expected though.

It s sad to learn the original chef is no longer at this restaurant. They use to make the best lamb skews and samsa. The new management is not able to sustain the original quality of food. Our meal came cold and the samsa was not entirely cooked. Again, sad to know the old administration has left, they were truly one of a kind.

We were very excited to try this place because of all the reviews we saw and because its halal but safe to say, we were extremely disappointed. The service was very poor, the server was not very friendly, gave us one menu and we had to ask for another one, did not give us any utensils.. when it comes to the food, the noodles were extremely salty, and we did not like the dumplings at all. Very overhyped for what it is.

Had an awesome experience at Restaurant Miran. Drove from Ottawa just to try their Uyghur cuisine and it totally lived up to the hype. Sure, the food takes a bit to get to your table, but its so worth the wait. Everything tasted amazing, and you can really tell they use top-notch ingredients. The atmosphere is super welcoming too. Even though its a bit of a trek, Im definitely planning a trip back. If youre into trying something new and delicious, this place is a must. P.s. highly recommend the lamb pilov and the big plate chicken!!

So looking at the reviews from over a year they had a problem of taking over an hour to serve the food...well the problem hasnt been solved! Some of the guys got the their food after an hour some others didnt get their food at all...seemed like they forgot and when we asked after 90 mins they said they need 15 more mins instead of saying sorry we completely forgot. Sometimes owning up to your mistakes goes along way. The place wasnt even busy there was a total of 5 tables being served. The food quality is OK but not to the extent I would recommend this place to anyone or would I ever want to go back there again.

My experience at this restaurant was average. Being the first time at an Uyghur restaurant, I wasnt sure what to order. The female server, who I also assume to be the owner, helped explain the menu options (thankfully, as the menu was laid out in a very confusing way with the same adjective - big - being used to describe different sized plates at different prices). She actually recommended my partner and I share a smaller plate as the one I had picked was too large (+1 for honesty!). The food itself was tasty and flavourful. The server had warned us that the chicken would be prepared bone-on, but I wasnt expecting the dish to be literal chicken scraps (many of the pieces barely had any meat). I think I would go back again as there are probably other options that would have been more in line with what I was expecting. After all, the chicken scraps were tasty.

The staff is friendly and the atmosphere invites us to relax.

Amazing place. The rice is excellent with minimum oil. The carrot was blended so well to provide rich texture to the rice. The lamb shank was falling off the bone, very juicy. It took some time to prepare the food but service is very good.

Been there twice, both times were good. The big plate of chicken goes perfectly with naan! The large pieces of mutton pilaf are delicious.

I ordered 10 dishes for takeout over the weekend. The staff was friendly. All the dishes were of great portion and they all had unique seasoning and flavors. Out of all the dishes, my 3 favorites were the Beef Ma Po Tofu, Dry stir-fried Laghman with beef and the Miran Special Big Plate Chicken. I will definitely order from them again.

The best Chinese Noodles ive had in Montreal. This is truly a hidden gem I tried their noodles which are hand pulled and have amazing texture. The flavour used in this Laghmen dry stir fry beef dish was super flavourful. The spice level was perfect and the beef was super juicy. It can take some time to receive the food since its all made fresh.. but 100% worth the wait. Would definately go again and again and again

Great culinary experience, the meat is mainly lamb. There are 1 or 2 chicken options and a few beef options. Not really any veggie options. On the other hand, it is Delicious. Great discovery

This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal, the plants are exquisite! I highly recommend it to all spicy food lovers like me. Their noodles are handmade and are excellent, they have the best lamb skewers Ive had. The restaurant decor and atmosphere are exceptional. I didnt really like their bread, its best eaten hot, when it cools its inedible.

Very nice discovery! Warm staff who took the time to answer our questions! And what about the food which is excellent! Nice decoration too. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
