Authentic dosa at this point. But chutney and sambar not that great. Mostly water only. Hassle free service though.
Great food for great prices, less than 20$ for any choice of dosa. I took the special tiffin. The cashier was polite and efficient as I ordered through the phone and everything was ready for pickup. Would recommend!
I have been many time in this restaurant, all the dosa are excellent. The staff is very polite and attentive. The atmosphere is really good.
Every time I come to Montreal I stop by other Lakshana's chattinad for dine in and I had great experience with their food and service. So this time I stopped at this place for quick meal and I did like the food. I ordered 2 tea and a coffee without sugar. the server came back and said it's an instant coffee so I told him we don't want the coffee. The lady in the kitchen was rude enough to say she already made the coffee and cant cancel now. The cashier guy was good no complain but seemed like he had no power over the lady. They need to improve the customer service very badly. For a $2 coffee she made it big scene. The end I did pay for the coffee and threw it in the garbage in front of them.
It was our first time, the food is really good and tasty so much better than other expensive south Indian restaurants. If You want Dosa this place is for You and it’s cost friendly the employee name Dinesh was really warm and welcoming. Undoubtedly there is less space but It was giving the vibe like am in India and I really enjoy it. And we are absolutely visiting again and again.🥰🥰😇
Every time I come here it tastes more delicious 🤤 amazing food……..specially my favourite masala dosa 🌮 . The guy who do the servings is also very polite and kind and takes care of everything ❤️
I am the type of person who loves indian food, and i've been to many countries and tasted indian foods but it doesnt even came close, but last week i tried dosa and today i bought lamb(mutton) briyani here and this is the best food i'd since india STRONGLY RECOMMEND
Today i visited the place and buyed samosa and dosa buter . I spoke to the owner , friendly person . Samosa is fresh made. We made dosa with that mix. Thanks to the owner for gifting me 4 paripivada . Other food like chicken 65 is my favorite there. Try to make egg puffs

We are visiting from the US and found this place close to our Airbnb. Wow! The food is outstanding. I highly recommend you try it if you want to try different Indian food.
Truly authentic South Indian food. I really enjoyed the Dosa and veg kotthu parotha. I would recommend this place any day. Murugan was excellent. Vegetarian options: Veg kotthu parotha, dosa sambar, Idly sambar, Vada sambar, samosa and curries.

bad experience this last and last time too . you employee always on phone when he was taking my order he was talking with someone on phone they should know that on cash counter first take order then use phone and i told him that last time i took food taste was not good he said ok this timw too taste was not good coconut chutney it was watery.
Great food and nice people. I ate with a friend after work and I ordered samosas and chicken biryani. It was very flavourful and generous portions. Definitely a great small place to get quality Indian food.

Best dosa i have had after a long time.
Loved the Masala Dosa at this place. Even though the place was small, the taste made up for it. The Dosa was larger than normal but maybe the masala portion can be improved. Sambar and white chutney were perfect. Overall loved the food !

Medu Wada and Mysore Masala dosa is great in test, reminded authentic indian food test. Service is quick and staff is very humble. Must visit location for food lover. Vegetarian options: Many varieties of dosa available.
We loved the authentic South Indian food here. The Sambaar was just awesome. Medu wada equally good. A must try place. The attendant Mr. Guri was a njc person and service was great!!

This is a TAKE OUT pretty much . There are TWO chairs, no table , so unless you really MUST eat inside the store, would not recommend it. Food is decent. Good spices and prefect seasoning. Prices are ok. Service is ok. But check your bill, as they often make mistake and charge you more! Verdict : give it a try.

I went with my family to have lunch since we wanted to have Indian food, and it was amazing . We ordered chicken biriyani, chicken dosa and ghee roast , even their snacks were fresh and nice crispy .. We were surprised to see the place was small and only one person was managing everything , from taking order to cooking and serving ,very hospitable and kind nature of Nirmal.I would definitely visit this place again whenever I come to Montreal.
I don t eat south indian food much. this was really solid though. could be 5 stars. great option for lunch or dinner.

Got 2 Samosas and they were great. Kind worker gave me a lentil donut on the house and it was also very tasty. Will come back :).
Veg Pakoras were good but could be more spicy, a bit stingy on the sauces.

Vegetarian options: They have different options for breakfast include different kind of dosa, idly and utappam coming with sambar and coconut chutney. Also the special tiffin covers a mini masala dosa, idly, vada, rava kesari and pongal with sambar and chutney on side. Also a veg thali for lunch and dinner, that will fill your stomach with satisfaction and joy.

Being a newcomer to Canada we were craving for some lip smacking indian food and lakshana was suggested by our friends. After tasting the food here it is so tasty and yummy and worth recommending.

Latin friends, we are not used to such powerful flavors (a bomb of spices in a thick broth) that make it very difficult to appreciate the flavor... I also dont like that their vegetarian cuisine is based on carbohydrates filled with carbohydrates (rice, crepes salty which I dont know what they are called, idlys etc)... the taste is not good, the quantity is not a problem because they only serve pure carbohydrates and it is very expensive. Once I ate there because of a commitment just to go with an Indian co-worker and the second time I ordered takeout just because I was sorry for not saying no to another Indian friend who invited me anyway. But there will be no third. With sadness and everything, but I will never eat Indian food even in that place... Vegetarian options: bad taste
I bought veg. Kothu paratta . The only vegetable it had was onion. Chicken briyani was full of oil. Very bad .

Ordered chicken 65 briyani, kothu and Vada sambar. The bestest place to satisfy your cravings. Must give a try, you will never regret.
Other lakshanas are pretty good, but this one is not good. 1) They dont make naans 2) I found a sharp piece of bones in one samosa 3) very small space inside, take out only 4) One day I was asked to wait 2 mins to get served pre-cooked samosa in the display, which takes literally 30 sec, just thrown them in a bag and give them to me. The man went back to the kitchen and was taking his time in the kitchen doing not urgent at all stuff like packing other orders in paper bags not caring about me waiting at all. There was no one else waiting in the store, he was not serving another client, just wasting my time. After wasting 6 min of my time and realising he didnt care at all I left.

We ordered masala dosa, chicken biryani and chicken 65 suggested by the very nice guy at the counter, tried the mango lassi too. Everything was delicious and the service was great too. Definitely will be going there more often.
