I went to Faat Panda last week with a bunch of friends. The restaurant is quite far from my place, but the trip was worth it, especially when you are with great company at a fantastic restaurant to share food and enjoy each other's company. The owner of the restaurant is a truly wonderful and heartfelt person. He welcomed us warmly. Each of us ordered something different so we could enjoy the delicious food and the variety of choices available. Everything was tasty, but my favorite dish was the shrimp. There is also a kids' area for celebrating birthday parties, complete with a couple of games for the little ones to enjoy. If you live in the West Island and/or if you're a fan of Chinese food, I highly recommend this place! On top of that, there is a piano that you can use and enjoy singing and worshiping with your friends ♥️
If I could give zero stars I would. Food was mediocre at best and the trouble we had getting it made this experience worse. Decided to try Faat Panda for the first time as I’ve seen good reviews. The process of ordering the food was okay however when we went to pick up the food the place was extremely chaotic and badly organized. We get our food and not even 2 minutes into the drive home my sister complains that something very hot is leaking on her. I pull over when she starts to wince in pain only to find all the dishes open and leaking. The wonton soups were put on the bottom for some reason and all the rest of the food was on its side. Good thing I had things I could use to clean up urgently as there was a puddle of sauce and soup in the bag and it was leaking all over my car. On top of that my sister has gotten burned in the process. I understand it’s younger people packing these orders however this reflects badly on the business. I will not be returning and I hope that this does not happen to anybody else as I now have an injured family member and I need to get my car professionally cleaned.
Wow. This tastes like Peruvian flavours! I loveeeeeeeeeee the fried shrimps, they were so delicious. The general tao panda, sweet, tasty, special. The RIBS …… 🤤 The place is so nice upstairs. We played piano. 🎹 Thank you to the chefs! It was the best asian food i’ve ever had.
Best Chinese food around!! Portions are huge and the food is fresh and delicious!! Definitely recommend it!
Starting that the chicken general Tao was delicious! And the quality and quantity that they give it’s more than much compared with other Chinese restaurants. I also tried beef noodle Pad Sew spicy and it was amazing. Best Chinese food I’ve ever tried, no doubts. I’d come back for sure!!!
The vegetables (in the veg and tofu) looked and tasted like they had gone bad before they were cooked. It was bad enough to want to call the restaurant and let them know, but am posting here instead as their phone number is not on their website. Chicken in General Panda was hard, stringy and pink inside. Otherwise would have been good - the amount of meat to breading was good and the flavour was ok. As noted by others, the portions are generous.
They're not playing around with the portion sizes that's for sure. The beef and broccoli was great - the vegetables were cooked well, not overcooked. We also had the pad sew, chicken fried rice, and general tao which were all quite good. As far as improvements I'd love to see a little more salt or maybe msg on the fried rice and the chicken in the general tao was a bit overcooked, but I'm definitely glad to finally have an Asian option in st lazare. Very good value for the price.
Ordered off of uber and the food came fast and warm! The general tao was excellent and the pad sew was good but very light on the soy. The portions are H.U.G.E, regular size is plenty for 2 people
Not sure what happened since the summer but, the broccoli wasn t cooked, the dumplings were gooey and the general panda was dry. Very disappointing.
Personally the food is really not extraordinary. The meat is boiled, apart from being salty it is very bland. Everything must be ordered separately. Too bad but I dont recommend this place at all.
Ok, first the positives: holy portions, Batman! Its *a lot* of food for 20$! Taste-wise, it reminds me of a well-prepared Thai Express meal. Delivery was prompt and included the correct items. The only thing that merited the loss of 2 stars was that I asked for a little spice, and the thing set my mouth on fire, so now Im called Smaug. Ive lived in Asia, Im no novice when it comes to piquante, but lucky I love spicy food...I only ordered it mild because my stomachs been bothering me. It was seriously spicy. Other than that, Im a new loyal customer! Try Faat Panda...youll feel like a fat panda, but its worth it since you can feed all your baby pandas with the same order...
Great location, great service, amazing food and Portions are incredible. I definitely recommend it.
Awesome owner and the food is incredible! The general panda and sweet and sour pork are really really good!
Quick service, nice clean place and food is delicious
Excellent! Oh my God its very good, thank you chefs. We had a lovely evening.
Fried shrimp is insane Amazing restaurant, amazing people Food
Only thing they got going on is their portions everything else is mediocre Update decided too give them a chance because someone said they their beef & broccoli was great but I ve come too learn my lesson never again will I be eating at this establishment again this is what they call beef and BROCCOLI they should change the item name too broccoli and beef or broccoli carrot and beef since there is more of everything else then there is of beef
Very generous portions for the price, we liked the food, (general panda and chicken noodles, wonton soup and rolls.) There is room for improvement in the take out order. It was very long (more than 40 minutes than the scheduled pick up time) and there were errors in the orders. Was it a bad evening??? It was our first experience, so nothing comparable before. We will still come back
Give this place a try, the food is tasty and the portions are generous.
Had the general tao combo. Solid amount of food for the price and taste was good too.
Was very disappointed. The portions are indeed large. The General Panda was not edible. We could not even cut through the chicken, it was stringy and chewy. The rice was a bit bland and the egg roll was not something I d order again. I don t see this restaurant lasting in Saint Lazare. Too bad because we need more options for places to eat.
Food was great. What i really liked was that there is a dine in section on the 2nd floor that felt like a lounge. There was a piano and a few arcade machines for us to use while we waited for the food. If i had the chance to rent that place for a small group id do it. Place was clean. Id definitely come back, but only if i was around that area.
I dont understand the negative comments that say its inedible. The taste was quite good and I had no issues with my freshness or the texture of the General Panda chicken. The amount of food we had was incredible. My favorites: peanut dumpling, garlic pork chop, eggroll and sweet and sour soup. Ive always wanted access to a Panda Express close to here and faat panda is exactly what Im looking for. I hope the owner would be willing to let us rent the incredibly cool upstairs room for a Christmas party. The room upstairs has a piano with arcade machines. Its super spacious and the toilets are very clean. I hope local people realize that they have a great place to spend time eating Chinese food. I wish them every success. I would come back every time I had the chance. PLEASE NOTE: the portions are huge, it s food to share with the family without having to spend too much money. Their regular format is filled to overflowing. Some items would just lack a little taste in my opinion but the soy and spicy sauce that they give with solves the problem
The best Chinese food I ve had in a long time!
General tao: the sauce has a strange taste of molasses and the pieces, which are too large, are overcooked. The pineapple chicken: way overcooked, excessively dry although the sauce is good. Very generous portions. There should be more meatless sides on the menu, the noodles are loaded with big chunks of onions, scallions and chicken.
note; dont really think the atmosphere criteria matters for a drive thru restaurant pros: food was really good. the portions are generous, the fried rice is super fluffy and filled with crunchy vegetables, they throw in a bunch of spring onions and sesame seeds on the meal. Got the general tao plate and it was great- there was tons of sauce, the chicken was soft and the breading was crispy. Its a really good general tao, but zero spice. Service was fast. cons: this place kinda worries me as far as businesses go- a lot of the equipment looks brand new and some of it wasnt usable. The drive thru layout is a little confusing, and it wasnt operating when we went. It looks like a lot of money was dumped into the screen menus and the new card readers and the rest didnt have much of a budget left. Hope it succeeds, food tastes good and its close by.
Chicken chow mein was vey bland no taste and no signature sauce! The peanut wontons were watery and were also bland not much flavor. Sorry but food was awful !!
Editing to say the flavour has improved very much since the first time I had tried this restaurant. Added a star. Lacked In flavour other than being heavy handed with the soy sauce.
Amazing Chinese food. You have to try their General Tao. I got amazing service from Haley. 10/10 would come again.
My family and I were eager to try it out. We ordered from Faat Panda last night and wow.. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The containers were sooo full, we have a lot of leftovers (our favorite). The service was fast and the food spot on. I could eat the Shanghai noodles everyday! Were very happy to have a new Asian cuisine restaurant near us. We will definitely be ordering again!
We ordered the sweet n sour soup, BP dumplings, egg Rolls, Salt n pepper shrimps and general tso all were amazing, big bites, big portions. Only thing I would have like was to know it did not came with rice. I did not see it if there was mention but next time Ill order something new with rice!!! We will order again
Good portion. A little expensive for the quality. We took a General Tao, Macaroni, Chowmin and the Pad Sew. We would have liked more vegetables. They have their place in the neighborhood and good luck.
Good portions for the price. We really liked the food and the online ordering service
$20 of inedible General Tao chicken. Meh peanut butter dumplings Good eggrolls They arent equipped to serve you for dine in despite having a large dine in section upstairs. No plates or bowls to give. We ended up taking our food back home. Cashier didnt know much about the menu and wasnt very helpful in describing a lot of the items to us.
Excellent service and food quality.
Generous portions, good food, but the meat is sometimes stiff (overcooked). I just think the cooks need some adjustment, its still a new restaurant. A great addition to our community! Well done!
Half the menu was missing. They offered no drinks but boba tea or fountain soda. The food was just OK. Very limited options. Most likely will not return but I honestly hope them the best.
Been a couple of times. Bit pricey for what it is. Each time I ve gone in the staff was very cold and unresponsive when I tried to ask any questions about the restaurant and the food.
Ordered a quick little bite for tonight. All is fresh and full of flavour. Probably my new Asian food hot spot. Totally recommend Faat Panda. You will NOT leave your table hungry.
Chinese fast food, big quantity my expensive for what sai, its better to go to a restaurant with a waitress at the same price. The obstinate waitress and this mistake in the order, seems to have opened the restaurant too quickly.
Ordered take out. It was excellent! Great quality food. General Tao chicken and beef and broccoli were fantastic. Must try!!
General Tao NOT good. Weird chicken. Will never order it again
Support small businesses like this one! Everytime Ive come here, Ive always had a wonderful experience! Staff is extremely helpful and kind, food is delicious and very reasonably priced for its generous portions! Vegetarian options: Most dishes, you can replace the meat with tofu Kid-friendliness: Arcade games for kids in the upstairs seating area
Everything we ate was delicious.
I ve heard about it awhile ago and was excited to try because there are limited choices for Asian food on this side of the bridge. I will be as honest and clear as possible: Pros: - The service is fast,I ordered for delivery (through Uber Eats). It took about 30-40 minutes to delivery during the busy dinner time and the driver dropped off another order on the way so it wasn t bad for the wait. Foods were still warm when I received them. - The portion is quite decent. - The price is good for nowadays inflation. Cons: - The taste and smell is terrible. Even I know you get what you pay for but for 30$ meal,I was still shocked with the lack of flavour and burning smell. - Even the portion is decent but it was mostly noodles which were cheap to buy in bulk for the restaurant. So it turns out right to the price. - Very little of veggies (only saw a little bit of bean sprouts and green onions). Again, the price is cheap for reasons. Honestly I m pretty disappointed with my order even before that I was hoping it would be a new place to get my comfort foods. Hope the restaurant owner read the reviews and find a better way to serve the locals in the future!
Got some take out and it did not disappoint!!! Portions were very generous, food was hot and fresh and I love that it wasnt all slimy like you often get with Chinese take out. Will definitely be going back!
Amazing place, huge portions and great tasty food
I ordered the beef broccoli and the chow mein, there is a good quantity for the price the chow mein was good just the chicken was a little dry but the beef broccoli the beef was not edible at all it was pale and rubbery I didnt eat it the rest was good Parking: Several places available
Excellent food general Tao combo and Hofun, the best Chinese restaurant in the area.
The pineapple chicken was awful. When I initially opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised at how much chicken was included. But when you bite into the individual pieces, you realize why; all batter, no chicken. The small cubes of chicken in the centre of the meat-ball sized batter were super tough and dry. The Noodles were thick and pasty and the beef felt very processed as well. Overall would not order from here again, especially for the cost.
The food is AMAZING, my kids loved it!! Portions are huge Planning on trying everything on the menu!! The owners are super nice !!
What a nice surprise to have this amazing restaurant here in Saint Lazare. We tried the noodles, general tao and egg rolls and were absolutely delicious! For sure we will be coming back to try more from their menu.
Great place! Food was amazing. 10/10
Chicken Chow Mein, spring rolls, wonton soup and hot and sour soup were excellent. My general Tao was tough and overdone. Portion sizes are humongous. Easily giving two meals each
It was then the very first time I bought food there, and actually I cant complain. Parking: Theres no parking problems.
Saint-Lazare branch. It is true that the portions are very large. We took two General Tao, all the pieces of chicken were hard, even very very hard. We threw away more than half. The food at Thai-Express is much better. The chicken is tender. Very disappointed.
What a wonderful addition to our community! I m very happy to see a quality takeout restaurant in our neighborhood. Ordered pickup last night. Was ready in approx. 20 minutes. Restaurant was clean and staff were great. Easy parking too (looks like a drive thru going in as well). My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the freshness and quality of the food. Generous portions as well! Overall, I d highly recommend to try them out. I m very proud of the owners investing in our community and addressing the thin offering of take out in our area. Will definitely be back soon!
It s was my first time there and the girl at the register told me the general panda comes with fried rice and 2 other item I get home I only have the meat nothing else very disappointed
Food was pretty good. General Tao very good, but chow mein a bit bland. Fried rice was good, but the chicken in it was a bit rubbery. Portions were nice and big. Ordered three dishes and it fed four adults and three young kids (ages 3 - 4) with leftovers. Biggest complaint is that it was confusing to order for pickup. They dont notify you when your order is ready, so we didnt know when to pickup. Waited 50 minutes and then they called asking why we havent picked up our order yet, and I said its because we didnt know it was ready. They said they made it right away, but on the website it says to expect 30-45 minutes wait on average. The website showed that my order was in progress so I assumed it would update to something like ready for pickup but nope, even after picking it up it still shows online as in progress so not sure what the point of that status is. So are we expected to just place the order and go pickup immediately? What if its busy? Weird process... should just notify by text or email since they take both when you order. They also really need a phone number. Had questions about the menu and no way of finding out the answer. Tried messaging them on fb and even after 3 hours still no response. Going to give them some time to figure things out and then will try again. Hopefully they can iron out some of the kinks to make it easier to order from them.
Food was excellent and so was the service! Cant get over the huge portions. I ordered for two people and had enough food for 5. Highly recommend!
Nice new place, very good service from Haley and delicious meals.
Good place, recommended 100%
Really the food is not edible the Won tong soup tastes like dish water the egg rolls not even hot and the cost is very expensive the worst food I have eaten
I ordered the peanut butter wontons and they were so good the sauce was perfect! The service was quick and I like how we have a new interesting restaurant in our local little town. Will definitely recommend to anyone craving Asian food! Wheelchair accessibility: They have ramp leading to a door on the ground floor
Excellent food! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a fast bite!
Worst asian restaurant i ever tasted. No flavor, no vegetables only soya sauce in all. Rice has no salt no nothing. Chiken taste weird. Tried general and noodles with beef. Beef and noodles was ok but lack of taste and veggies. Last time i trust a facebook post lolll
Solid food, massive portions. The atmosphere isnt amazing, but their focus is takeaway anyway.
Really generous portion. Fast . And excellent
Amazing ambiance, the food choices are great the freshness and taste of each dish is absolutely delicious Vegetarian options: A nice menu and variety Kid-friendliness: Pay attention to the kids and fun things to do arcade games amongst everything was amazing
The food is delicious and it is nice to see the new opening of the restaurant in the neighborhood. Staff members are so nice and friendly!! Will def try more food next time!! much success to your business!
