8090 Boul Langelier, Saint-Léonard, QC H1P 2B9, Canada
I like very much the fish and other seafood is cooked . Simply delicious. The service is very good too. Thank you guys. Highly recommend
Amazing food!! Very very delicious, fresh and it’s pretty fast service. Only downside is it is pricey. It’s worth but still a bit pricey. If it was just a bit less expensive, then I would go more often.
Excellent spot for seafood! Always get the fried calamari and the soup of the day! Great quality, doesn’t smell extra fishy and it’s a reasonable prices. They give good recommendations and suggestions. What we got : Fried calamari Fried smelts Grilled octopus Side dishes : Potato Wedges, Soup du pêcheur & Grilled veggies
We tried this restaurant for the first time, and the last!! We ordered the fish and chips for take out, the staff was rude, unfriendly, and were in no rush to serve us. That, we can handle, everybody has a bad day, but returning home and eating a very small portion of the cod, about an hour later we started feeling unwell and began vomiting!! Completely disgusting!!🤢🤮‼️ Please beware!!
Really like the style of this seafood restaurant. The major feature is, what you eat is what you see and choose exactly the raw pieces displayed in refrigerated icy case counter, and pay by the weight of your chosen piece. This is GREAT! Quality and freshness are then undoubtedly guaranteed! The dishes are very well cooked and presented with savory smell and taste. Plus inner decoration has been upgraded recent years, so it is a good place for a couple or families to enjoy a comfortable stay for a nice delicious seafood dinner.
Wow everything we ordered was spectacular 🤩 Very fresh and delicious flavours. I would definitely come back and highly recommend: The salmon, calamari rings, fish and chips, the mussels, the octopus. We will be back to try the others on the menu.
One of my favourite locations for Rayan. The service is great and friendly and they are the only one that have the full squid calamari. We visited on a busy Friday at dinner time and we got in and out for done in in about 1 hour. I have no complaints. Good was great, as always.
If you are reading this, do yourself a favor and just go. I drive all the way from Toronto for Rayan restaurants. You get to pick your fish fresh and choose whether to fry, grill or bake it. The fish in the picture is a fried red snapper and a filer basa fried. Their spices are just the best and the service is also excellent.
Nice place
Best spot to eat seafood prepared on site. Everything is delicious, well seasoned and above all super fresh!
Badly mannered, arrogant and self-conscious waiter. Dont buy from them, professional thieves who dont even justify their price with an invoice.
Top notch
Amazing restaurant very testy food and very welcoming service
I love this fresh fish restaurant and the owner is very nice.
Best staff best food clean and amazing atmosphere .
One of the best seafood. Nothing can complete with this place. They are super generous with the sauce and the toppings
The dirty ones much improved than before Very clean
The freshest and most delicious seafood I have ever tasted. They serve you a salad that, although simple, is very delicious and the dishes are super large! I highly recommend it, I would love to eat there again.
It is a place for eat all kinds of Seaford. You choose and cook it for you
Good food quick service, recommend
Fresh and well served
Worst costumer service, arrogant staff. Its more like a scam place than a restaurant. They make you pay taxes and they dont add them in the bill IF YOU GET ONE.
For fish and seafood lovers. This charming restaurant offers the best fresh fish and professional service.
The restaurant really doesnt look like much BUT the fish and seafood there are BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and well-cooked. I recommend.
Excellent service
Restaurant practically empty the afternoon I left, I ordered takeaway. I had taken a piece of Swordfish. I had a hard time digesting it afterwards. Some stomach aches. Prices are expensive compared to the competition.
Delicious and fresh
Good seafood, Only Christ Saves, Repent and Acknowledge Him as Your Lord and Savior Blessings
Excellent food !
The best place to eat seafood in all of MTL. Exquisite and delicious
Family seafood restaurant. Excellent cuisine and clean place. To try it is to adopt it. Their salads and fried squid are must-try
Excellent dishes (fresh) average prices, only negative point certain nationalities speak with the family on loudspeaker on the cell phone and no one warns the customers
Good seafood,good price
To be avoided, disrespectful manager, poorly educated, he threw everything on the table, spoke nastily and looked at us badly throughout the meal, same thing for 2 other employees 0 education but really no education
This place was just terrible! The service was horrible, even for its atmosphere which makes you want to take its business and run away. I dont recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The prices are way too expensive and the portions are not big enough ....come on man .....if you charge crazee prices like this .....the portions must be bigger .....how about stop gauging the clients ... youre prices are not affordable at all ..... especially not for a family dining experience !!! no good !!!
If I could put zero I wouldnt hesitate, the restaurant manager is rude and disrespectful, they totally disrespected me and my friends while we were eating quietly. We were on the verge of calling the police because their behavior was so acceptable. I strongly strongly strongly recommend this restaurant, lousy place, zero atmosphere, less than nothing service, we entered happy but left very upset and furious. Its a shame that such places exist in such a country. I bitterly regret the hefty bill paid for more than mediocre service , unscrupulous crooks.
The staff is friendly and the food is good. Good customer service.
I always ordered fried calamari, fresh and quick service every time.
Excellent ! Good portions. Friendly service. A nice place to eat seafood
Food tasted amazing. Some of the waiting staff werent super friendly though..but no complaints on the food Food
Very good cuisine, welcoming staff but I would like to draw your ATTENTION: the water that you put in the pitcher so that the customers do not have to put back the rest of the water to fill another pitcher and reserve it for another customer ( I saw the waiter do it!!!!!), be careful its not very hygienic (the water can contain microbes which come out of droplets of saliva from customers and the pitcher is uncovered) however, I Dont think its done on purpose but it can transmit diseases.
It was very good with my friends we had a good time I recommend it for seafood lovers Kid-friendliness: Yes
Excellent service! Succulent seafood! Its really good! Plus they have the best potatoes in town.
Had a wonderful experience. Thank you.
The best restaurant to have seafood in Montreal .
We booked me and my friends for 6 people at 7:30 a.m., after driving 30 minutes they told us that we had to wait 1h30 before being able to eat.
I waited 40 minutes at ftour time, its nonsense, the people arrived after me we were served before, so I ordered the whole store and the prices are too high
They allowed me to iron a lot (to iron)
Fresh , fast service and really clean space ! A place to go and try !
I was at Rayan yesterday, everything is fresh, impeccable service, this Restaurant really deserves more than 5 , please be careful when you use the GPS it will direct you to other restaurants where the service is mediocre and the food is catastrophic, choose well that of langelier. Thank you for the good service you are the best
The best place where you can eat fish. Fast, friendly and exceptional service . Personally I find it the best diner I drive 2 hours to come and eat . It s a great place to enjoy yourself. A big thank you to you (owner, these children and the employees)
They have a very good service and an excellent sea food .
Very good yes recommended
A very nice surprise, very clean place, welcoming staff, smiling, professional, we ourselves choose fish - seafood (which are fresh) before being grilled or boiled... The portions are generous, the prices quite reasonable....an experience to be repeated. We understood that the restaurant will celebrate 10 years activity, we wish good continuity, health and happiness to the owners and employees! Thank you for the services provided! Gaby and Guy
A very large choice of fresh products, good service, welcoming and smiling staff, choose what you like and they prepare it for you on site, a weakness for potatoes to accompany the meal
First time on the new location (former Rockaberry). At first it was good then turned sideways. We are loyal clients of Rayans. We have a good relationship with the son of the owner. We followed the process, our order was not big. But we waited for at least half an hour. All the other groups and clients who came after us have gotten their orders. We have not. The waitress gave our order to another table. They gave us salad as compensation. But by the time our order came, the fries and rice were cold.
Normal reception, very bad table service, glass of water not filled, order not complete, we ordered a coleslaw from the start and asked for more mid-meal and the waitress brought it to us when we finished eating, restaurant not very crowded and no excuses afterwards
Excellent service. Delicious and impeccable food. Very reasonable prices.
Fresh and delicious
Everyone was great just I understand the closings at 8 p.m. its so early
Good
I have been a customer of this restaurant for a while now. I don t know if it s because they changed locations but since then the experience is much less interesting Unfortunately, I ordered a pound of squid, but the waiters made a mistake and gave me a plate that wasnt mine, I had to pay the full price anyway even though the portion was clearly smaller . The servers did not seem to know who the dishes were intended for among the customers who were eating in the room. The service was almost non-existent, we had to ask several times for water or drinks. The food is good, but not enough to make up for the poor service and high prices. The waiters arent rude, they just seem a little lost. I advise taking takeaway, you will be sure to pay the right price for what you ordered and you will avoid waiting to be served.
ALWAYS FRESH AND GOOD FOOD !
Food is amazing usually but they decided to close on December 23rd an hour early despite having told us we can come before their actual closing time being 9 pm. I get there with my family at 8 pm driving through a snowstorm to get our meal for Christmas and they refused us without warning or providing a heads up. Really unprofessional on their behalf and left us without a Christmas meal despite them giving us their word we could pick up what we needed. Truly disappointed as it is a great eatery and I hate having to leave this but they need to be held accountable for their lack of care.
Best fish restaurant
They dont honor their prices and scam customers.
Best place ever
The food is excellent. Great taste fresh and you order how much you want.
The service was perfect during my visit. The fish is fresh and the portions are generous. I recommend.
Fish was good
The food is very good. The presentation is beautiful. On the other hand, I dont like the fact that the cooks prepare the dishes with their masks under their chins. Its as if they were without a mask. The worst part is that the majority of employees are like that.
Ripping off customer . Price of menu is not displayed . No business ethics . Check well before going there. Cashier is very rude. No courtesy. Will never go there.
Excellent service, reasonable price, thank you Food
Loved it! Great taste and good quality! Very friendly people :)
Amazing seafood
However, seafood is expensive
Thank you, I was missing $ to buy my scallops, the boss still gave me my whole order. Succulent squid and scallops wow.
There is an old gentleman who works there who is very unpleasant, I arrived once around 7:15 p.m. to order knowing that it closes at 8 p.m. he shouted at me, the only word he knew was (( close sir )) even trying to get an explanation. I went back 2 days ago, no hello or anything, its freezing as hell. But the person behind the counter is really friendly
Always delicious Friendly staff Parking: Big
worst experience I had at a restaurent. A lack of respect, lack of courtesy... We went there for a family dinner and we decided to leave that place after 15 minutes. The waiter was verry rude with one of us and when we replied asking for a minimum of respect the waiter just enhanced his bad attitude with disrespectfull answers. I beleive that when we choose to eat at your restaurent the least thing you can do is being welcoming. Its not charity ,we are paying. You cannot treat a client with a disrespectful manner and expect a tip at the end. Keep in mind that when we come to you restaurent your main job is to serve your clients. You can be sure that I will not go back there and I will not reccomend anyone who has a minimum of self estime to go.
The employees are friendly and it is the best branch after trying all 3, it must have taste and generous portion thank you!
the food is Mongolian
Very disrespectful and not care about their customers. I went there with my family. When we almost finish our eat they started to push us to leave this place. I havent seen this behavior anywhere in Montreal even it does not showed respect on us properly. I do not recommend this to anybody to go there.
Love the fresh choices available for fish and seafood. I ordered the Calamari, Garlic shrimps, potatoes and their house salad which was very good. My dassapointment was the grilled salmon, there was no flavor, no salt and pepper just there home seasoning on dressed on top with lemon...and it was overcooked. The grilled fish same thing. I strongly recommend maybe requesting seasoning before grilling maybe that might help.
Very very expensive Very abusive in the prices I advise no one to buy meals
One of the best sea food resto in Montreal. I prefere to order out. But htye have a big place to sit down for over 50 people Great staff.. Love the fish and the calamari Parking: 25
Great seafood
The owner is really really very rude if I coul give zero star I will 100x Ii wont support this restaurant never aagain
We had a moment of stress from the guy serving at the counter, throwing the food But the guy who makes sure it is clean and clears the tables is very relaxed. There is no atmosphere, its just what you go to. And the salad is a gem, you are full but you finish it
Today, May 5th around 2 p.m., we went to try this restaurant for the first time. We had heard a lot of good things but wanted to test it for ourselves. When you return, you will be asked to choose what seafood you want to eat. The price of each item is indicated alongside the choices. And everything is weighed by the pound. We are not sure but the container used could have been included in the balance. If its your first time, like us, the menu isnt as varied as we expected. The choice of seasoning is frankly limited to garlic. Once the order has been placed, its up to you to sit down and wait to be served. The service is very good. Fast and attentive. So the food is average in our opinion. Not superb or bad, just ordinary. The grilled octopus is well cooked but the seasoning is quite mediocre. The scallops are bland despite the added garlic. In short, what is worth it in terms of quality/price is the fried squid. These were really delicious. In the end, I conclude that this is an overhyped place for my personal experience. Better to buy in a fish store and cook everything yourself at home for much cheaper. Parking: The restaurant parking lot is large.
I find it very expensive
The restaurant that forcefully imposes tips on the customer often ends up with the police arriving, no thank you, Ill do without it!!!
Its just toooooooooo good
The staff was nice and friendly. The food was excellent, very fresh seafood and the fries were very tasty. Its a little bit on the expensive side, but its worth it once in a while.
We go there for the succulent seafood!! We ate very well. the squid, grilled shrimp, potatoes and salad are excellent! If you want a chic and fancy place this is not the place and there is no alcohol. For seafood I found the prices affordable and the flavor is very rich!
The food is average ! Le Canal restaurant in West-Island has better quality
Slow to barely existant service. (water refill, napkins, asking if all is okay with the food) They probably expect more people to take out. But the food is always on point! They know how to cook their seafood to perfection. Everything is great. Same seasoning for evtg but trust me, it s worth it. Prices are very reasonable. Would go back over and over again. Ask the waiter to leave the pitcher of water on the table though or you won t get any refills ;-)
Overpriced for what it is, lobster seasoning is just ok, the shrimps on the other hand are yummy.
Very good spaces to enjoy spicy seafood
They closed at 8 p.m. then the website says it closes at 9 p.m. I came for nothing. Bad service
Their seafood is good but the service is cold
My go-to spot for fried calamari. They calculate the seafood per pond, which its fair compared to other restaurants. We usually get the fried calamari, rice, potatoes edge, and salad. It is more than enough for two. The grilled octopus is cooked perfectly. We always have a great service. The waiter is always nice and welcoming. Water is always filled, and whatever we need, he always brings it right away.
A good fishmonger, the food is super good. For the service and atmosphere: there is room for improvement
My family loves this restaurant chain, but it became even more expensive that it was all ready. We wish to be able to go more often.
It s a very good meal and the service was impeccable
The freshness of the food is exceptional and the portions of the side dishes are very generous. Our favorite dishes are salmon, fried squid and shrimp, all with rice and fries. Furthermore, their fries are succulent and their sauces just as much. It works by weight and its on the expensive side, which is pretty normal when were talking about seafood. The service when ordering is not the friendliest, but the table attendant is very helpful and courteous. If you are looking for atmosphere or even alcohol, this is not the place. But if you want good, very tasty seafood at a competitive price compared to the market certainly!
Very expensive to avoid
We paid $140, and terrible food quality for a little fried basa and squid that was imposed on us. Warning to future customers to immediately flee this restaurant!!
The basis for excellent grilled fish and seafood. Fried squid, barbecued whole fish, grilled shrimp, everything is fresh and excellent. A safe bet for me.
Ive been going there for 15 years and the taste is always good. Yes it costs a little more than elsewhere but we eat quality food. But on my last two visits the whiting was not good or fresh
Its a scam the price displayed when they weigh the fish its different from the one on the bill even the bread he charges it we paid $150 for a little 4sole squid and 2 slices of swordfish, a small salad that will be the last time I leave
The food was delicious and very tasty. We had grilled fish, fried Sultan Ibrahim and shrimp. We will definitely visit again whenever we go to Montreal.
We no longer feel in a cluttered space where too many people are in constant movement. Its not pleasant to eat in such a space. Wheelchair accessibility: Not really markets
Always fresh products. Preparation and tasting of dishes prepared on site. Excellent and tasty Parking: Adjoining the fishmonger
Excellent and freshly prepared food, my favorite thing is to eat there, lets say its more canteen-like
Excellent meal. Wide choice of fish to buy on site.
Great service , amazing fresh seafood. Best store in terms of quality than all the other ones .
Ok if you have never been to Rayan you have to try it and you will see it will become a tradition! Fishmonger/restaurant. The concept is simple, you choose fresh fish directly from the counter like in the fish shop and the kitchen takes care of preparing it for you. The service is super fast. The food is just incredible. From potatoes to scallops, everything is perfect and super fresh. We had Scallop, octopus squid and lobster and a side dish of potato and rice salad. Frankly a delight the seasonings were there but without covering the taste of the seafood. Good portion for the side dishes. Reasonable price given the quality of the food. *price by weight Good place for group dinners, good portions easy to share. Thank you Chez Rayan!!
By far the best seafood restaurant! I have been coming here for years, and they have never deviated from the best quality and consistent food and service!
Wheelchair accessibility: Mon mari est passé par la porte arrière et nous avons eu un accueil chaleureux et respectueux. Recommended dishes
This Rayan is better than the one on belanger better fish
Service and quality of food remains to be desired, price too high!
Too expensive for its quality No menu on the table Lack of respect Really bad
**French Review** Ryan Langelier, a Paradise for Seafood Lovers In the heart of Saint-Léonard, at 8090 Boul Langelier, is Ryan Langelier, a rare gem that invites you to an extraordinary culinary adventure. This restaurant, specializing in seafood, is a place where every dish is a celebration of the ocean. As soon as you enter, you will be struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that reigns there. Each dish is prepared with exceptional dedication, promising a most satisfying dining experience. I had the chance to delight in a sublime assortment including calamari, salmon, accompanied by rice, fresh vegetables and, the highlight of the show, exquisitely prepared octopus. The revelation was undoubtedly the squid, which struck a perfect balance between a tender texture and a delicately marine flavor. The salmon, for its part, stood out for its perfectly cooked cooking, melting harmoniously in the mouth, leaving a delicious and lingering taste. The rice and vegetables were the ideal complement, providing a freshness and sweetness that beautifully balanced the strong marine notes of the seafood. But the real tour de force lay in the octopus, whose tender texture and rich taste made it a essential part of the meal. Since my visit to Ryan Langelier, I have discovered a new passion for seafood. There is no doubt that this restaurant has managed to capture the essence of the ocean in every dish, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone. lovers of marine gastronomy. The meal is delicious OMG but....very expensive I think...but good!! At least its fresh and delicious
Very expensive, but the worst is very dirty,
Been here a few times and alwayssss on point. Food is good and fish is always fresh. Love getting my moneys worth !!
Here they have good food, I highly recommend it
Much appreciated
The price is inflated ouuf
Its wonderful to be able to eat in a restaurant where everything you eat is good! Nice welcome, the guy at the fishmonger takes his time to explain to us and put us at ease! Everything is good and tasty. The fish was found to be rather ordinary but the rest was excellent. Even the lemonada was special! We will come back without hesitation!
Oh my Doeu its the warmest place I know to eat seafood I love eating there with my family were going there today
Ive been eating there for years, its still delicious Parking: Very large free parking
Its almost perfect
The meal is not bad especially the fries but frankly I went there twice and the customer service is non-existent. You have to beg for water, people look at you strangely. Dont take for granted that everyone knows how to walk and already knows how many pounds of shrimp/fish etc. they would like. Some people need time and there s no need to be unpleasant about that. We pay for a service. We pay to keep your business running. In return, the minimum is to welcome us well because that is what will make us come back
Too good
If you love fish and sea goodies this is the place to be
Incomparable with other restaurant service, cuisine I highly recommend it
Excellent restaurant, delicious
Delicious fresh authentic
The freshness of the products is simply incomparable. On each visit, I am impressed by the quality of the fish and seafood offered. Customer service is exceptional. The owner, with his expertise and passion for seafood, has always been very helpful in advising me on the best choices according to my preferences. I highly recommend!
Unique experience. Service and warm atmosphere. Recommend for everyone as much for pick up or on site!
I made my first visit to this new Ryans yesterday and I have to say that I am very impressed not only with the decor but also with the quality of service we received, they have very good customer service and the food is exquisite! Highly recommended!
Great meal, quick, delicious
Good food but the service could be better
The bill was 117 and on the statement 135.45 which I consider theft without mentioning the prices To watch the order its not strong
Very good place, very good service
Amazing 10/10
Delicious fresh seafood and fish
