Incredible service! Try the Old Canal dish. You will be full. Chicken skewer, pork souvlakie, filet mignon, shrimp...plus salad as a starter, soup,,,,,,, dessert, tea or coffee. Very affordable! Shift: forget the word affordable...its no longer buyable. We changed course because the prices doubled. We will not return there again. Damage.

Our dishes were cold. Overcooked rice. Vegetable we would say these were vegetables in cans. The pasta tasted a lot like cinnamon (too much) the garlic butter had no garlic.. just butter. The vanilla cake was dry.. No possibility for vegetarians. Children dont have many choices. We were a good gang and people who liked their dishes.. unfortunately it was the last time for us

Too much noise

The service was super slow. For a group of 12, we didnt have enough 3 hours. I asked for a pitcher of water, I was given the pitcher left by other customers on a half-empty table. The portions are however generous. The restaurant is family-style, mainly meat, seafood and pasta on the menu. Eva, our waitress, did a good job and was smiling even if she was overwhelmed.

If I could give this restaurant less than a star I would. The WORST service I have EVER had. The waiter (name is Martin) got into a scuffle with an elderly man near our table being very rude. He didn t even greet our table. Started barking off soup specials. When my aunt wanted to give him her choice he rudely said that she has to wait 5 minutes and left. 30 mins later comes back for our order. ( I have to say that even just getting our bread took 30 mins). When I asked about what was in the pikilia he was very irritated about the question. Doesn t even come with pita! Casa Grecque is sooooooo much better. And here I am having the time to write this review at our table after sitting here for almost 2 hours and still have to yet get my main meal. i am so close to walking out. I might update this later. My grandmother said: first and last time.

More than disappointed with our dinner. The cream of broccoli must have been on the stove for a long time, it was so thick. Favorite restaurant. We discovered him by chance and fell in love. The place is close to the canal and the atmosphere is very different from other places. The restaurant is family-friendly and you can see that in the decoration and cozy environment. As for food, their dishes are succulent. From soups, to starters, to main courses and desserts. Rather Greek cuisine but different from all Greek restaurants. I highly recommend it.

Many spoke highly of it but during my visit, full parking lot, more than 2 hours of waiting before the first service, good portion but: several items were missing from the menu and we were warned that when ordering, cold vegetables and they were probably there for hours, the steak was poorly cooked and very greasy, the dessert was tiny and too simple; They look like cafeteria desserts. Price-wise, I found it expensive for the low quality of the service. So disappointed with my experience.

Ive been going to this restaurant since I was 7 years old, my first job was there as a dishwasher. Its always the place for family dinners etc. Since they changed owners....isshhh the guy at the reception is extremely sloppy and inappropriate. Clearly dont know how to work in the public. I wont go back to this restaurant again with the quantity of restaurants we have now, theres no shortage of choice.

Service was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the food was not great. Ordered the table haute, veggies totally over cooked, leek soup had something in it?! Still not sure. I think It iwas maybe a shrimp shell. Shamkpi was cold. Filet mignon was well cook but not hot. Thank god for the friendly service

We often came before the change of ownership. We are a group of 5 and are all unanimously very disappointed with the only positive point being the service. The Carrot Soup tasted like Soup Cane. Mediocre salad. The vegetables burned and the rice tasted like soap. Steak overcooked even though we asked for medium. Chicken a little dry, there was no more butter for the bread on a Saturday evening. Too expensive for the quality. The salmon was good. Its over for us and the comments from the other table were in the same direction.

The service was okay. On the other hand, the food was tasteless and very expensive for cafeteria level quality. Canned pasta sauce, quick rice, bagged iceberg lettuce...

For the service we always had to ask for things to be brought back to us, lack of water, not enough bread for everyone. The soup was salty and I had the veal parmigianna and the spaghetti sauce felt like dynamite in my stomach. I recommend that you opt for the first pages and skip the Italian dishes page. Jai été mangé là ce Samedi et jai adoré. Mon repas ma coûté un peu moins de 30$ et jai accès a une soupe, salade césar, repas principal et café/dessert. Really disappointed with dinner this evening, cleanliness of the place leaves something to be desired. More than ordinary food with chefs salad with only or almost only iceberg salad. Frankly, I went there for a while but there I had the impression of eating in a hospice and even then I wouldnt want to insult any kind of establishment since it was really bad! The only dish that was good was the lentil soup! The Caesar salad was bitter and the chefs salad was so wet it was disgusting! We had surf and turf that was really not good, the rice was tasteless served with frozen vegetables! I tell you it s clear that the cook doesn t like his dishes! It s made pathetic! Last time I go there!

Wow, its been a long time since Ive been to such a mediocre restaurant. Thanks to the waiter who gave me respectable service. The place is old and not clean. My table was next to the toilet and the perfume smell was nauseating. There were lots of fruit flies. It was really hot. The place is noisy and what can we say about the food! A kind of Campbells soup with a more than average salad as a starter. The main course wasnt any better. Plus, its way too expensive. Even if I force myself I cant find anything positive, sorry. Kid-friendliness: Its appropriate, the place is so noisy.

I come often For two years, I came today and I ordered a spaghetti with meat sauce with two starters, a soup and a salad as a separate dish with a chocolate cake and a coffee for only $25 before tax .woow same quality and same service for two years.

We went there often before the change of administration and it was delicious. Now, much too expensive for the quality of the meal, cesar salad not good, canned mushrooms, langoustine not cooked enough, shrimp overcooked filet mignon good and ordinary dessert. Air conditioning did not work and decor from the 80s. We are a group of 7 people and we will not go back there again. For a Saturday evening, the restaurant was only 50% full, that says it all.

We were 4 adults for dinner on the terrace on Friday August 4th. We see that it is a new administration. Good welcome, excellent service, attentive staff, very good dinner from soup to dessert and despite the increase, like everywhere else, the price remains affordable. THANKS !

I cant believe Surf and Turf served mushrooms in cans. $60 per plate. The steak was okay. Bland rice, zero attractive vegetables. Spag with a gelatinous sauce that tastes like cinnamon. A scallop filled with pollock and salty but really salty. So my little family of 4 left with an exorbitant bill, for what I would clarify was an inedible meal.

I ve deleted my original 4 star review from years ago. We used to be regulars but the last time we went will be the last time. There were only two waiters and a young boy who didn t look legally old enough to work. He was prompt to bring our bread but did not open our wine. After 15 minutes of waiting, I got up to find our waiter and asked him for a bottle opener mentioning that they looked to be short staffed. He got annoyed, and argued that we weren t there that long and that they were short staffed (which was the first thing I told him). Anyhow another 10 minutes went by before we got to place our orders. When my soup arrived, it was cold (not even warm). So they gave me a new soup. The food was otherwise same as always but the service was slow all night. 2 hours from start to finish was way too long. In addition to this the price has jumped by 35%. If I m going to spend $35 + tax + tip/plate, then I m going to go where the food and service is much better.

Sauces are no good. Cesar salad dressing is like water. Stay away!

Unfortunately it tastes less fresh and the food has less taste. My mothers chefs salad was a brownish color. The recipes also seem to have changed... please make the same recipes as the previous owner... my parents have been going there regularly for 20 years and they too are extremely disappointed.

For the last 20 years, my wifes family and I have been going to le vieux canal. Unfortunately, last night would be the last time, plates are OVER RIDICULOUSLY PRICED. First and foremost, we had reservations for 4 oclock pm, for a party of 21 people. as soon as we settled, the server told us that we must be out for 7 pm. The first time we have ever been told that, but thats ok, 3 hours, its entirely enough for supper. 2nd. My brother-in-law took the Table dHôte surf and turf, composed of one filet mignon medaillon 3 shrimps and 3 scampis at 59,99$, when the plate hot served at our table the server told him that unfortunately theres no more scampis but they got replaced it with 3 shrimps...ITS FIRST SERVICE, FIRST TABLE OF THE EVENING AND ALREADY NO SCAMPI, why not telling him before when we placed the order.... But thats not all, they dessert that EVERYONE eats when they go to a greak restaurant..... the BAKLAVA desserts, almost everyone in our table always gets that dessert. To our surprise, the server told us that unfortunately, they stopped serving it, and we asked why???? The employee told us that they were excluded from the menu because I quoted him, Its cost too much to make. .......... 3rd but not the least, the cherry on top, When we receive our check we noticed that our bill and so my brother-in-law wore charges of 7$ extra, WITHOUT THE SERVER EVER NOTICED US, the charge description its simple, we asked for a empty plate so can our wifes and us could share our 60$ table dhôte plates.... So my final thought after 190$ bill plus tip in an bring your alcohol restaurant.. VERY OVERPRICED AND VERY DISAPPOINTED. Sorry for the extra-long text review.

Two in our party. Broccoli Soup was tasteless and hard to tell there was broccoli in it. Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp and vegetables consisted of what appeared to be miniature canned shrimp, root vegetables, carrots, green beans and basically a white sauce, no flavour of garlic or parmesan cheese. Very bland. The other meal, souvlaki was cold and salty. We spoke to our waiter of our disappointment. He had the manager come to our table. The manager s reply « some people like it salty and some don t « We declined the coffee and dessert and he returned and didn t charge us for our meal. This somewhat made amends for a terrible meal and evening out. Do not recommend this place

We have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years .4 or 5 times a year .we went there in September 2023 and surprise the prices have exploded ..$50 and more for several of their dishes .paying $250 for 4 people its really too much .at this price we could go eat at Keg ..really disappointed.

Yesterday, November 11, I went back there with my partner, the big surprise the portions were reduced a lot, the steak was very tough and the quality in general is down and the worst, the price of my main course went from $45 to $56, 11 dollars more and smaller portions. I apologize but its over for me, they have just lost good regular customers.

A little disappointed with the service the other evening. I waited almost 25-30 mins for a gift card because the manager went out to do some shopping and left with the office keys. Seems when you leave for a place, you appoint a manager to avoid this kind of situation. However, the employees made me feel very welcome and kept asking me if I wanted something to drink while waiting. A bit of a shame, because I love going there to eat with my boyfriend. We have always had good service until now.
