I have only ever ordered takeout from ExotiQua so I cannot speak on the atmosphere or service, but the food is delicious. I honestly do not know how it does not have higher ratings. The sushi is amazing and good value for what you’re getting. The Pho is also amazing!
Good price for good food . Bring your own wine you don't go wrong. The owner is the best very very nice. Nice place to go on week days or weekend when don't feel like cooking
I am not very sure what is reason, is it just because I am not local and I dont speak French well? I ordered take out and this is what you get for $30. In Toronto food court can prepare better food than you guys.
The food was so delicious and the waiter was very friendly. The service was great. We are definitely going to go back. It’s a bring your own wine or beer restaurant. Perfect night out. All covid19 protocols followed.
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Went here with some friends after a nice day out. - Arrived and ordered at 6:30pm. - Received the food at 7:50pm and not all meals , so we couldn’t even eat our meals together. - The remainder of us received our food at 8:10pm . A total of 20 minutes later! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! We constantly had to remind them that we were waiting for our food. When we asked the waitress to speak with a manager, he refused to come see us and had to deliberately get up to spend 5 minutes of listening to him argue and make up excuses as to why we had to wait an hour and a half to receive our food. Naturally if you are a big party of people then I would understand why the service could be a little slow. However we were only 4 adults. There was no compensation or Im sorry’s from the manager. Just a bunch of “there is nothing I can do”. I usually don’t write reviews but this was one experience I just HAD to write about. Simply because were all in disbelief over the wait times and treatment. If you want terrible service then don’t waste your time and money here.
Definitely not the same authenticity Pho as I'm used to eating in Toronto. Overpriced for what you get.
ExotiQua does its best each time Having eaten here several times over the last 4-5 years, whether summer on the patio or indoors in the salon, the main consistent take home, is the food is generally very good. Whether table d’hôte or simply a single repas- always tasty, good portion size, and fresh & hot from the kitchen. The main commentary from many folks relate to timeliness and atmosphere…yes, the wait can be long at times versus others, but you can be assured it is typically worth it. This business works hard every day to put out good food and the owner stands by its products. We’ve waited from 15 up to 60 minutes…very variable. BYOB makes it more agreeable to the variances! Atmosphere-wise a bit kitschy, but you’re there for the food and good times, with an exceptionally friendly and welcoming host.
Really very expensive for what its worth, not good at all I took a chicken with peanuts and it lifted my heart because it was so tasty, didnt come to this place.

I cant give my opinion on the taste because after 30 minutes sitting in our place the only waitress still hadnt come to see us. Even though we had reservations. In addition, the ownership of the premises leaves something to be desired. Several spider threads on the walls and column the Mirrors are dirty and dusty. The tables are sticky... In short we went to eat elsewhere. Sorry I will never go back and try to eat at Exotica
Order online. A general tao, a rice dish in addition. Cost of invoice $26.30. I arrive and the attendant tells me that I paid for a childs portion. Lol. I tell him that the bill is $26.30, if that is the case I ask for a refund, laughing. Well, Im stunned. Look at this. 26 dollars! Seriously, I strongly advise against it unless you want to be robbed. The impression of being fooled and not nearly so! The spicy lemongrass chicken soup is advertised on their website for $4.50. At checkout $5.95 The fried wonton soup is advertised on their website for $3.95. At checkout $6.00 The Grilled Chicken and Beef is advertised on their website for $18.95. At checkout $22.95 When I pointed out these differences to one of the two bosses, do you know what he told me? My former partner left six years ago with the website codes and there is nothing we can do anymore Bull-s...t!!! And have you seen the quantities of soup and grilled beef and chicken for the asking prices??? I hate feeling like Im being laughed at and lied to in the face, as well as being fooled. This deserves to be denounced in public. And with the evidence presented, I intend to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Office.
Very very disappointed, the general tao chicken had almost no chicken in the batter and when there was it was brown and dry chicken. At the price it costs! My partners grilled plate was very good on the other hand but it was missing a little in it lets say. And his poor animals in an empty aquarium just waiting to die are pitiful!!! I already liked it a lot but I will never go back.
Absolutely delicious
Having lived in Montreal for 20 years and stayed close to all the Thai, Japanese and Viet restaurants downtown, I can say hands down that this is one of the best foods I have eaten by far. The wonton soup is delicious and flavored with lemongrass. Teriyaki chicken is delectable, fresh, delicious. Even their sushi is delicious and tastes heavenly. I am positively surprised it has become my favorite restaurant in Valleyfield by far.

We waited for someone to come see us to assign us a table... Nobody, moreover, many tables were not cleared. We left the restaurant.
It was just too busy for the number of staff, it seemed to only have one waitress who was assisted by another person from the kitchen or the manager. I ate on the terrace, it was pleasant, once the dish arrived I found that it was not worth the asking price. I have some experiences in Montreal of cheap Asian restaurants and it was the same type of food that we were served. I understand that they tried to make the decor kind of chic but that doesnt change the dining experience. Dont get me wrong, the taste was there, in fact I would even say that it was VERY tasty, but in terms of the quality of the meat and the presentation, its not a 27 dollar dish, its more in the 14 or 15$ BIG MAX range. Just as strange, beef is much more present than chicken, yet it seems to me that chicken is less expensive than beef. Food for thought

We ordered $200 worth of dishes based on the online menu. Unfortunately, their prices seem not to have been updated given that all of our dishes cost significantly more than the price displayed on their website. In addition, my dish was incomplete and missing my egg roll. The portions are extremely small for the price charged. Personally, I was still very hungry and I was eating normally. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants that charge the same amount and offer much larger portions (including soup as a starter), I will not recommend this one. For reference, my dish was charged 24.95, displayed at 19.95 online and I was missing my egg roll (beef bun with lemongrass, requested with rice instead of vermicelli)

The quality of the dishes is there. However, the price is relatively high for the location. If you are used to eating in good Montreal establishments you will not see any problem there.

2-course meal: 2 hours of waiting to receive the main meal. Each person receives their meal at least 5 minutes apart. And a person receives their meal once all the plates are finished. An owner who is unable to manage his customers. Arrogance on the part of the owner and the server. (Without going into details). When it is the customer who asks the OWNER to be compensated for a forgotten plate and received several minutes after everyone had finished, it is really not normal. Basically: worst restaurant experience of my life, good food according to the plates. In catering, the basis is to offer excellent service and eat well. If the lack of staff does not allow filling to full capacity, you must close at least one section.
Very bad service and too long and we shouldnt change the plates....he tells us yes yes no problem and he doesnt make the changes they arent listening...2 hours for the plates so the service is lousy and they asked another plate of Sochi never received first and last time in a restaurant

Always satisfied with each visit! I like the atmosphere of this restaurant. The owner is very friendly and our server this evening was attentive. It s bring your own wine. Our menu this evening: tartares & sushi. The salmon tartare was really good. Sushi, I really enjoyed the Bézamé (soy leaf) and the Bonbon, the Dragon eye and the faithful kamikaze. I just find it a shame that so many sushis contain cream cheese, it limits the selection. For me, cream cheese and sushi dont go together! Let s encourage our local restaurants to keep them!
I found that this restaurant had more taste than the Lotus Restaurant, but it is still missing a few things... The prices are very high for the little on the plate too.

Very disrespectful service from the owner, steals the plates waiting for 2.5 hours to serve to other nationalities who have just arrived and leaves his daughter alone in front of the very angry customers. Who forbids him the tip that we leave him and makes him pay for the plates he took from him.

Its expensive and not that good, the atmosphere was ok. I asked for the blue teriyaki steak, it arrived blue but they put it on a hot cast iron plate, so it didnt stay blue for long. I really dont like going there.

I found the service slow. We were served 2 out of 4 plates and the other 2 arrived 15 minutes later. It took 20 minutes before we received our menus. Our server lacks professionalism and tact with customers. Perhaps a need for training or supervision?! I left a note for the owner on the bill and gave it to the waiter. The owner did not come to apologize or explain. Food quality is ok.

Never have your Christmas party in the back room: our group, as well as another group of colleagues the day before, kept our coats on during the entire meal time, despite lots of heaters plugged in everywhere! Moreover, the circuit breakers came out regularly. When the waitress wanted to turn the power back on, she had to hold the electrical panel. Its very dangerous. We all left immediately after eating...completely frozen. The waitress 5 ; she did everything to accommodate us.
