40 Av du Centenaire, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, QC J6S 3L6, Canada
Modern rooms with free Wi-Fi in a former textile mill, plus a restaurant/bar & 15 meeting rooms.
The newly renovated room and facilities were great, with the added bonus of an attached pub. The location by the lakeside was excellent. However, the service was disappointing—no greeting during check-in or in the morning, and no extra assistance with lost and found.
Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff, and nice rooms. Water pressure and ventilation in the room were an issue, however. AC was set to 26C which was a little too warm with little airflow. Shower and bathroom taps had poor water pressure and the bathroom lacked a ventilation fan which wasn't pleasant.
Nice hotel, very clean, bilingual staff and interesting interior. No breakfast included, but located right beside a tim hortons. The cleaning staff were very helpful and understanding when our child was sick and needed new bedding etc. Our only complaint was the shower, the half glass door lets a lot of water dpray out, and the air conditioning, in our room it would not go any cooler than 24°.
I loved Hotel Moco, I only have one complaint. The temperature in your room is automatically set. You can not adjust. Gabriel at the bar and Keena were great.
I forgot to take photos nof inside place but the photo that is here is the view with is cool from front hotel... parking is big top under...rooms nice comfy beds and pillows... shower nice just would be smart if they put a fan since its new...would make less marks wall.. TV channels OK...a lot french thou...only thing is a very expensive hotel...and food there too in the restaurant part....I only went there cus my place was on fire I lost all and the red cross paid three days only at this hotel..
Had a great 3-night stay during May long weekend. Great location. The hotel was impeccably clean. Very comfortable beds. Softest pillows you can find. Nice view of the bay. |Bathrooms are a bit weird were there is no extractor, but had no problems other than foggy mirrors. In my experience there were no noise problems at all and we had great sound isolation. Biggest complaint is that gym and pool hours are limited. Request some extra towels from reception since the ones provided are on the small side.
The staff is nice and the bed is really comfortable. I stayed for 3 days, and I enjoyed every little moment spent on the hotel. The rooms are newly renovated with a meticulous design. Except that microwaves are not available in all rooms. The restaurant is fancy; the decor is at my taste that I decided to have my lunch there. Overall, it's a nice hotel to stay when visiting the city of Valleyfield. The location is accessible, next to the old canal that offers a stunning view.
Great speedy check in service ; clean and nice room . Great architecture and nice design detail with shower circular cutout; it came in real Handy! Would definitely stay again.
What a disappointment restaurant closed throughout the Christmas holidays.... swimming pool closed on December 25 I canceled
For a 3 star, the quality of the rooms and service is surprising! The beds are the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel. And the service is impeccable. Possibility of having a magnificent view as well!
Meals at the restaurant Excellent Safety: AVERAGE Food and drinks: Excellent Noteworthy details: The receptionist was asleep, she didnt even see us pass by
Walkability: Nous avons tout fait à pieds durant la fin de semaine beaucoup doption de commerce à proximité Rooms
The person at the reception did not understand their role of being welcoming. She was as kind as a prison door. I asked her politely how much a room costs and she replied I know you do. Then she sighed heavily. I really felt like I was bothering her. Then I made him understand that it was his role in the establishment to give this kind of information to customers. Then she refused to serve me. I didnt rent a room that night. If I were a manager I would fire her immediately, she is losing customers at the hotel. I would like to mention that I remained extremely polite throughout and that this is the first time in my life that I have written a review but this woman disgusted me so much with her attitude that I needed to share it.
I was at this hotel for a party organized with my work and the reception staff was no better than worse! The receptionist stared at us as if we were not welcome and on top of that she dared to tell us that no room was essential when my colleague next door and several others reserved rooms after us. The service was good but the welcome is not worth the price of the rooms. I would never return.
Very clean rooms and friendly staff
During my last visit, it was extremely hot in our rooms (the air conditioning did not provide) Other than that, if you fancy a little walk, I advise you to visit the kayak course which is located at left of the main entrance along the sidewalks, until you reach a staircase that goes down (you will hear the water) ps: the Quebec flag is missing..
Weve been here for 2 weeks and the air conditioning doesnt work and more than half of the hotel doesnt have a window that we can open, for example last week it was 28°C in the room. room impossible to sleep for warm people
Im delighted, its a great hotel, but the most important thing is the staff, very friendly and helpful people. I definitely recommend!!!
I stay there for the 2nd week for work and I am always received in the most wonderful way .
Ideal situation
I enjoyed being in this hotel, plus I had a view that allowed me to appreciate Valleyfield Rooms: Impeccable and very well maintained Walkability: She is very accessible. I did my entire stay on foot
A little expensive...but its like that everywhere But $300.01 per night without breakfast is something to think about
Superb hotel. 8th floor with water view. Very quiet room. Super clean. Very comfortable bedding. Lady at reception very kind and professional. We really liked the mix of modernity and red brick of the old textile factory. Very successful. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant. Several original choices. We have priced the Cilbir and the shakshuka. 10/10 both.
Superb location, spacious, comfortable, well appointed and decorated rooms, very good service. Lunch at the restaurant was slightly laborious because the waiter was inexperienced but there was a lot of goodwill so we were understanding. I recommend!
Lots of aggressive roamers around who harass people but very nice hotel with a good restaurant
Bathroom light not working and they say cant do anything to help me goes up to the room and check it out
Beautiful place. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
Room with air conditioning on magic eye - leave for the day on a hot day and your room is a sauna when you return...if only the system provided for quick cooling, but it doesnt. The staff dont know what to say if you call them. Additionally, we had 7-8 large spiders in our room. For rooms at $300 per night, Ive seen much better.
Very nice quiet room
Pleasant, not annoying. Friendly staff!
Very well received. Nice view of the bay. Perfect
The Meraki restaurant in the Moco hotel, wow what a great discovery.
Beautiful hotel! Delicious lunch...service a little long. Very nice location with all the services
Nearby activities: Marche / vue sur eau / resto pas trop de choix petit menus Safety: Très bien Walkability: Super bel emplacement et beau site pour y marcher
Magnificent view of the lake. The Mediterranean restaurant is really good. Accessibility to the indoor swimming pool. Well located. Chic.
Very comfortable renovated room
Very good for everyone I recommend it to all friends....
Many thanks to the chef and the entire team of the Meraki restaurant. Everything is delicious and at the highest level.
Very nice stay, exceptional customer service. Superior cleanliness of the premises
Beautiful renovated hotel with superb views of the city, the hotel met all our needs and more!
Lovely big rooms, good front desk service, and the restaurant has great food. Please enjoy!
The staff, administration and marketing department really care about customer satisfaction: so a big BRAVO! Rooms: Large, modern with superb views of St-François Bay and downtown Salaberry de Valleyfield.
Very good, all renovated and very modern
The rooms are really poorly soundproofed. I could hear my roommates opening cans and I could hear their television almost as if it were in my room. 0 effort on soundproofing. On the other hand, the employees are very courteous and the rooms are clean.
Nice hotel however the rooms are poorly soundproofed. We had requested a folding bed in the room and it no longer offers the service. No lunch on site. Very expensive for only one night. Too bad it is the only drinkable hotel in this area. corner Rooms: Large, very dark and poorly soundproofed room
The room was very clean. Hotel well located in Valleyfield
I went for a massage. Very nice atmosphere. Warm, calm was there. I give 5 stars
Magnificent hotel! super comfortable bed! friendly staff! what more to ask for Rooms: The beds are so comfortable
Great service I recommend
A 2-day Christmas stay at the hotel! No restaurant, no verbal reference and restaurant suggestions in the surrounding area. We had to get our replacement towels from customer service ourselves. The room was not cleaned for two days. It was an unpleasant stay.
Beautiful hotel with a beautiful view of Lake St François and Delpha-Sauvé Park and the city
Its a very nice hotel. Our room was large and modern. The only problem was that we were located on the boulevard side and Doolys was right next door. We were disturbed every night between 10 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. by customers of Doolys who were shouting and celebrating. Unfortunately, we will have to find quieter next time. PS: Thank you for your response, I am not talking about local customers. Maybe it comes from outside. The locals are very nice.
Really nice place to start
Screaming person for hours ruined the visit. No sleep.
Always a great place to stay
Very nice clean and brand new room. Very comfortable beds.
#1 place hotel.
Hotel is undergoing renovations its difficult to get to the lobby as there is construction outside and possibly inside as well
Although the rooms are superbly renovated, I deducted 1 star for the old air conditioning, which was noisy and not efficient enough for the heat. In addition, the noisy renovation work begins at 10 a.m. in the morning. I imagine its temporary but the timing for rest isnt great.
So my family had a reunion this past weekend and we had blocked a bunch of rooms for the event. Great deal for you! It would have been great to advise everyone beforehand that there was no restaurant operating. The complimentary breakfast was a Grab-N-Go bag with a muffin and the like. Shower curtains falling, leaking windows - soaked floor, no ironing boards, missing bar fridge. No weekend staff to replace towels and the like.. WTH? Pool was closed July 1st (We get that...Kind of. Canada day and all). Pretty sad if you ask me.
Had to wait until 6 p.m. to have access to our room , only to find that the air conditioning didnt work during one of the hottest weekends of the year. The temperature in our room was stuck at 25.6 degrees celsius. We obviously asked to either switch room or have someone come have a look and try and fix it. Neither happened, and to top it all off, the front desk was SUPER rude. We were promised a fan, waited in the room for over an hour (while my family went to cool off at a restaurant) , finally called the front desk to ask when the fan would arrive to be told that it turns out they dont have any fans. I can go on , but this is what we went through during our stay (didnt want to switch hotel because our sons baseball team were all staying in the hotel for a tournament). The WORST customer service I have ever experienced ANYWHERE!!
Very nice hotel, clean, great location, around 40 minutes to Montreal, next to the lake and Roe Victoria. Highly recommend it.
Great helpful staff, really cool building. Room was very spacious and within walking distance of lots of restaurants, cafes and the water. Very cute town, will definitely be back.
Rooms: Rénovée récemment. Nearby activities: Piscine, Gym, Spa. Walkability: Centre ville, restaurants, magasin, lac St-François et marina, etc.
Perfect spot.. very nice employees, Excellent rooms... very nice bathrooms/ showers Location is perfect right beside Tim Hortons... and food locations... food delivers right to your room if you order out... Great place.. very great feeling staying there
Beautiful hotel!! Love the architecture and history behind it, would have loved to know more but I was there for business meetings. I would definitely recommend it and would consider going back with my family. Every thing was perfect, service, ambiance, greeting, clean and well maintained.
Love the place, clean and well renovated
When I arrived in the room there were at least fifteen dead flies all over the bathroom and a few flies next to the bed ????if you need to take a shower bring your hot water, we did run the hot water for about ten minutes, still nothing (always cold water). The next day the girl at reception asks me if I liked my stay. I tell her more or less. She asks me why? I tell her the dead flies and no hot water, she tells me its not my fault???? I travel often and I regularly take hotel rooms and I have never seen a hotel that costs $300 with dead flies included and no hot water !!!!!!
decent hotel , good stay good service and amazing food Nearby activities: In the Heart of valleyfield Rooms : 4/5 |
No hot water The downstairs personne told us that this happens very often And also they say in there add that there is a restaurant it not true Never going there again Rooms: Beautiful but no hot water was not able to wash Food and drinks: Restorent not open in renovation and when you go on the site it tell you that there is a restaurant Noteworthy details: They say that it a problem in the hotel about no hot water it happens all the time
Super cozy clean shower wow excellent
If you are looking for a comfortable hotel I recommend it Rooms: The decoration is tasteful The television is very big The white marble bathroom and its LED-lit mirror
My review would be higher if we hadnt been charged full price for limited service and if we had been advised ahead of time of the lack of service. RENOVATIONS: The hotel is under renovation, so there were workers right outside our window all day. It was awkward to have the blinds open because they took their breaks right outside, so we had them closed. If you have to sleep during the day, I dont recommend coming here for the time being because the renovations can be loud. LIGHTING: The lighting in the entire hotel is very poor. It was dark and hard to see, and one of the lamps was difficult to figure out how to turn on. POOL, GYM, RESTAURANT CLOSED: We arrived on St-Jeans day, and upon check-in we were informed that the pool, gym, and restaurant were all closed because of the holiday. This was not indicated anywhere on the website when making the booking. We had been excited to spend the day swimming and it was the reason we picked the hotel. This information should have been available prior to booking, and we should not pay full price for services we did not have access to. This is the biggest reason I gave a low review. BREAKFAST: Since the restaurant was closed, we were given little bags of breakfast items that included a small bottle of juice, a yogurt, an apple sauce, a slice of cheese, a packaged muffin, and a granola bar. All of it was gross. Im also lactose intolerant. I cant believe we paid 300$ for one night and only got this tiny bag for breakfast. ROOMS: The rooms were very nice and modern, although dark. The bed was very comfortable. Room was clean, and I like that the floor is wood instead of carpet. The lighting was annoying because there are multiple lamps throughout the room that you have to go and turn off and on individually. We also had trouble with the big lamp that wouldnt turn on for a while. It would be better to have just one to three light switches instead of needing to find eight of them. And even with all these lights, it was still very dark. MISSING ROOM AMENITIES: We did not have an iron in our room even though the website showed an iron was included. Thankfully we didnt end up needing it, but this option being available was one of the reasons we decided to stay here. BATHROOM: The bathroom mirror light was super cool, but the shower doors were not yet installed so there was a temporary curtain rod set up. It was useless because the floor was soaked after our shower because there is a big gap at the bottom of the curtain that let water through. There is also no fan in the bathroom, so the humidity after a shower stayed a while and there is no way to escape the smelly aftermath of a poorly digested meal. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The receptionists were very sweet and informative. PRICE: The hotel is under renovation, which is a great inconvenience to guests. It also doesn t make sense that our stay wasn t discounted when we didn t have any access to amenities and were given a grade schooler s breakfast. It s not ok to omit crucial information about services to be rendered and then charge such a high price.
Stay on an extended stay. Out 6weeks my room was clean 3 times a 1 time my trash was emptied. Staff always said they were short of people. But always booking big events. Toilet built so close to wall a large person would have trouble . Noteworthy details: Cleaning staff always short hand.
The hotel is very large, and recently renovated. The room located on the 9th floor was spacious with a nice view of the city and the lake. The bedding was comfortable but the detergent used to wash the sheets scratched me during the 2 nights, it was very unpleasant. There was a smell of clone in the bed sheets. No water available in the rooms and no cup for tea or coffee although there is a coffee machine in the room.
Dont want to sleep? Come stay there on a Friday or Saturday! In this way, with the sound of the music that resonates in the walls until the early hours of the morning, you will be surprised! If youre not happy call reception to be told they wont do anything. Bravo for your renovations but note that they forgot the soundproofing. Never again.
The room was beautiful bed very comfortable and all the staff was very welcoming.
Very clean
I would rather stay in a motel then spend 149$. Really upsetting, left over dry urine on the toilet from a previous guest, a chair broke randomly while seating on it, shower heads are just awful. I understand it s an outdated hotel, and renovations are coming, but If you can t keep hotel standards, and trained staff, renovations won t improve anything. You have to improve a lot more then just the property. When I called the front desk, to speak about the issues, and ask for a room change, because if dry urine was left by a previous guest what else was left behind, the front desk replied with I m alone sorry but a rebranding won t change much.
Very good hotel.
Friendly, bilingual staff. Clean rooms with fridges. Currently offer takeout breakfast due to CoVid restrictions. Showers are a little too low flow with temperature hard to control.
Love well
I went to see an exhibition
Simply perfect or almost!
Excellent service, very spacious and clean room, very clean swimming pool and gym. Beautiful location
Nice gym, pool area.
What a dissapointment. Room badly in need of upgrade. Peeling wallpaper, flimsy shelving, sagging ceiling tiles, moldy tub tiles. And with all taxes and fees ( for what , I dont know why i have to pay other fees) this room cost nearly $200. Was worth half that. First and last time.
Excellent hotel value for money! With the exception of room service for sheets!
The rating is only for the rooms... for their service i would give 1. The hotel s location was very creepy at night. there was minimum light and there is a local bar behind the hotel and all kinds of people at 2am. The parking is across the hotel in a different area !! the check in process was smooth room was comfortable!! bed was nice and pretty clean ! During our stay we noticed that we have been charged extra than what we booked on booking.com, when we asked the reception they made us wait for more than 30min and they have no idea what it was for.. finally i asked If it was just a hold of deposit, and they said yes. Its the receptionist s responsibility to let us know that they will taking a deposit.. wasted so much of our time during checkout !
No service
Beautiful hotel, near restaurants, bars and the Old Beauharnois canal. Near cycle paths and other tourist attractions. I will come back!!
I had a wonderful night!! Thank you very much.
Cant even book a room on a Saturday for a Sunday check out. Sold out in Valleyfield.? Sure
For the Valleyfield regattas, a great weekend
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had booked for a different date accidentally through a third party, yet they accommodated me, honored the original rate, and got me a room for the night. I was very appreciative. That said, the hotel is really, really rough around the edges, though it is also undergoing renovation (another headache). Bed/bedding in the room was fine, but the bathroom was very outdated and a bit dirty. Id booked because the hotel advertised a pool--it has one, but is part of a private fitness center, not the hotel itself. So pool hours arent typical for a hotel (especially on weekends) and we had minimal time (15 mins.) to enjoy the pool. Had I known, I would not have booked the hotel at all.
I dont recommend.
A star is generous
Room much too humid lack of suitable service like warmer blanket small table to eat coffee to review the quality. For the very courteous and welcoming staff, nothing to say Thank you
I think we were given one of the newly renovated rooms and it was lovely. Good bed, clean, good sized fridge and very attractive. We were very impressed for the price (160$). The view from our room was great and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The location is very central to anything you would need. Parking was easy, well lit and close and the little bag breakfast was appreciated.
Toilet ran all night No cold water No bottle water to make coffee No ice anywhere No complimentary breakfast
Lunch made in the USA!!! No documentation in the rooms Ex. Tv channels ice cream beverage High price
Disaster! Drilling has been going on relentlessly in the neighboring room since 6am. Breakfast was closed. Cleaners shouting in the hallways. There was dirty underwear of the last guest next to the bed! Never seen anything like that! Absolutely the worst hotel experience we have ever had in Canada. Massively overpriced!
If you have special requests, make sure everything is noted and that you have a written copy of the agreement. Because you risk being very disappointed. Their word is worthless. They make no effort to accommodate your needs. The bare minimum. And lack of respect. I called to find out if it was possible to get our room at 3 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. They answered me. If I want the room earlier, you just have to book the evening before. I had to check in by phone since it was impossible for me to get there at 4 p.m., told me that everything was fine only to contact me 3 times later to tell me that my credit card didnt work. She had not noted down properly the 3 times. The room is good but lacks coverage. There was only a small sheet. Nothing more. No bedspread or blanket in the closet. Nothing. I called reception and they never answered. So do I recommend this host? Oh no! $200 for that. No service! Are not willing to do the minimum to satisfy their customers. To this guest, it s the law of least effort!
I strongly advise against this place. Not at all a family atmosphere. Staff who will threaten you and tell their employer the opposite. I advise against
Hotel is being renovated, so take this as an incomplete review. I got newly renovated room, it still had that lovely smell of new furniture. Bathroom looks great. Beds are nice and firm. TV is gigantic. But... room has barely any light. There are lamps, but not enough to make room comfortably bright in the evening. Image quality on TV is painfully bad. And theres no microwave in the room... Temperature control is a bit odd. And you cant open window at all. Entrance of hotel stinks on weed, beer and bodily fluids. Restaurant is closed for renovation, so I dont know if its any good.
Quality. Places full of history. Beautiful balance between industrial character and modern chic. Welcoming. Great location. Price OK.
I have my doctor there and Im going to get treatment for my skin
Rooms: Tastefully renovated Good bedding Very clean bathroom with garnier-Thiébaut towels the ultimate
Good customer service
Great physical training club
Amazon sell
So nice to be able to play pool again.
Clean and renovated. Classy enough without feeling too much if you arrive in shorts.
Offers services that are not available on site and charges the same price No parking because of the bar located next door, parking lot full of empty beer bottles bursting on the ground. A crowd of young people hanging around in the parking lots and intimidating passers-by. Room half cleaned. Seriously the pandemic has its back but I think there is a big lack of management because this hotel has very good potential. It is a 3-star hotel by tourism quebec fine! Prove to us that you deserve this title!
Given the restrictions due to the health crisis very satisfied with the room and facilities
The staff were professional and a pleasure to speak to. The Hotel is attached to a bar/night club. Our family walked up to the hotel which was surrounded by drunk people. The had a security guard trying to keep them away from the hotel entrance. Hotel cleanliness would be 3/5. I would not recommend this hotel to familys with small children.
Very comfy beds. Our room came with a fridge and coffee maker. The room was nothing special and the decor is very dated Because of covid our room was not cleaned during our stay We were given a breakfast bag as the restaurant was closed. Very pricey place just hang your head at nught
As a couple this is the gun!
OK
Everything looks nice and fancy, but my goodness, the room was so dirty! It seems like they clean only the surfaces, but not the floor under the furniture, shelves, drawers... I dropped something on the floor and had to look for it under a cabinet... what had I found there were just piles of dust, empty bottle and some other litter. Seems like no one cleaned there since the opening of the hotel. So, think about the COVID safety measures there. At the same time, covering by those measures, this hotel saves money on the customers by offering terrible inedible breakfast boxes instead of normal breakfast. Its green zone now here, everyone has re-opened their restaurants. But no, in this wonderful hotel they wont clean the rooms, but protect us from the breakfast. Nice job! So, in overall, terrible experience, terribly overpriced. Wont come there again, ever.
Semi clean room (only clean in the most touched places, but there were spider webs in the corners), mini fridge was barely cold, terrible mountain view of the parking lot, and most egregious of all the price was insane (same as a room in Hilton in Quebec city with a river view over old Quebec city). Stay away if you can but tolerable if youre in a tight bind.
I would NOT recommend I have been trying to plan an event at this hotel the Banquet managers are terrible!! I ve dealt with 2 of them now and I can t get any straight answers from them.. i have to keep asking for updates.. i ask questions and don t get response very bad customer service . I guess Covid did not affect their revenue because they don t seem to care that they are loosing $1200 +++ for 1 night i will be planning my event somewhere else because for this kind of money i believe common courtesy is in order.
Beautiful hotel in a good location. Good service
Very nice place
None of the rooms have a bathroom fan. No HD signal for TV, blurry picture. Ceiling is rotten, faucet leaks. And we get lunch in a bag! Reason for the hotel. We are under renovation. However, the price is not a renovation price and it is not indicated anywhere. Really disappointed for $603 for 3 rooms on September 27, 2021
Dirty, old and expensive. The website makes this place look amazing, but the reality is different, theres no maintenance during your stay due to covid, but it doesnt justify that the rooms are dirty, with spider webs, with stains in the curtains, dust in the carpet, old and with a weird smell in the bedrooms. Once I had all my stuff removed my bedroom because they thought I had checked out, for covid reasons they cannot clean bedrooms but they took my stuff and checked me out, later after I complained they assigned me a new bedroom. The elevators are not well maintained, I have seen them out of service several times already, they take long time to take you to your room. Update: I have been coming and going to this hotel for over 2 months and its disappointing me more every time, new bedroom, all dirty, they even left the garbage from the previous customer in the room.
Super welcoming hotel! My room was very nice and the price was justified!
Love it, perfect stay!
I arrive at your hotel and at reception they tell me no more rooms available!! Im leaving but skeptical Im looking to make an online reservation and lots of room choices. I find it extremely ordinary to be told no more places available but I was able to book online! I came back to the hotel and the receptionist looked surprised and said to me, oh yes, you were able. You should rethink your way of doing things because the hostess told me I have no choice but to say that its full to let people reserve online for passers-by!!!! Sorry that doesnt make any sense, Im a passerby????? Makes you wonder if you really want a Clientele!!!
Good welcome
Ha ha ha
Very nice
Nice place, the only problem the elevator under repair, a temporary problem. Fortunately he has 2...
Welcome wow
Demi grand hotel
Beautiful and quiet room
