Lolinda is an Argentinian steakhouse with cuisine inspired by Latin America, Spain and Argentina. We serve sustainable meats, including seven different types of grass-fed, grain finished beef cuts ranging from short ribs to blood sausage cooked over a wood-fired grill served alongside dishes like ceviche, empanadas, salads, and a handful of vegetarian offerings. We offer a full bar featuring artisanal cocktails, piscos, tequilas, & a wine list primarily focused on varietals from Portugal, Spain, Chile, and Argentina including sherry and port. Stellar selection of European and South American beers, too. Two levels of dining, two full bars and seating divided in a mix of booths, tables, communal tables and bar stools.
Great Atmosphere and specialty drinks. The food was amazing, especially the mixed seafood ceviche and filet mignon. Service was great as both the waiter and bartenders were really nice and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Great spot for a hangout with friends.
The squid was very good and tender. The pork chop was beyond expectation, juicy, flavourful and well balanced. The severs are very attentive. Tables are quite spacious and definitely would come back.
Whenever I am craving steak and don’t want to do it myself I go here. I always order extra Chimichurri It is just so divine. The steak is simple—- high quality meaning coming from grass fed organic source and is cooked to perfection leaving it crisp exterior with soft juicy interior. Look at the photos we ordered basically every type of cut 🤓
If you are looking for an authentic Argentinian food experience in San Francisco, check out Lolinda! It is a very chic, two-story restaurant in the Mission, and is busy every night of the week. Be sure to make a reservation in advance, especially with a larger group! I've been a couple times now and have always enjoyed the dining experience there. Here are some of my recommendations for what to order: * Ojo de bife - rib eye steak (4/5 stars, $56): one of the best cuts of meat you can get at any Argentinian restaurant. It was delicious at Lolinda. Order it medium rare! It's beautifully sliced for you when served. * Chorizo - sausage (4/5 stars, $12): always need to order the chorizo when you go to an Argentinian steakhouse. Flavor on this chorizo is solid. * Pulpo gallega - Spanish octopus (4.5/5 stars, $19): if you like grilled octopus with a little bit of a spicy kick to it, order the pulpo. * Croquetas (4/5 stars, $9): the aioli served with the croquetas is delicious. Nice crunchy texture! * Empanadas de carne (3/5 stars, $12): empanadas were just ok here. Focus on the other dishes. * Churros (4.5/5 stars, $11): The texture of these churros is awesome. And it's served with 2 different dipping sauces (chocolate and dulce de leche). * Cookies and milk (4/5 stars, $11): if you know what alfajores are, it's a traditional Argentinian dessert. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Go with a small group so you can try out multiple dishes. I wish you could see where they were grilling the meats as that is such a cool experience in a traditional parilla in Argentina. It's as authentic of an experience as you are going to get in California.
Perfect spot for a special date night. The atmosphere is lovely, with dim lighting that beautifully complements the warm, cozy decor of the tables and chairs. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with menu suggestions. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Although it was quiet when we arrived for our 6pm reservation, it quickly filled up as dinner time approached. We started with the palm salad and mushroom empanadas, followed by the Asado Mixto for our main course. The portions were generous—plenty for two to share. My only complaint is that the chorizo and morcilla were a bit dry, and the meat tasted a bit sweet, which is why I'm giving it four stars instead of five.
The atmosphere, food, and service here is exceptional. It is so much grander on the inside than you would expect from the obscure outside. My friend and I got the steak for two, along with the sautéed kale. We received excellent recommendations for wine. The best part was the friendly and down-to-earth service. The experience was luxurious without being pretentious. Highly recommend.
My favorite bartender is Adriana. Wow, I can hardly believe I've never taken the time to write a review for this amazing place. I've visited more than 20 times, and every single experience has been nothing short of extraordinary. The food here is absolutely delectable, and I have to say, the pork chop is hands down the best I've ever tasted in my entire life. The ambiance is perfect, whether you're planning a romantic date night or just looking to pop in solo and grab a seat at the bar. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for any occasion.
Always a hit! The food is pretty tasty, the atmosphere is great, the service, fantastic. Great for big groups or a romantic date. Will be back again and again.
Good atmosphere and portions. Service could have been a little friendlier. Wish the tables were spaced out a bit more as well.
I have to say the atmosphere is wonderful, I love the vibe and have been here many times. The service was pretty awful! We had a very large guy who didn t come around to the whole table to take orders, he left the birthday girl and her friends without drinks, then he said he was overwhelmed, when we enunciated our order three times, because we saw him writing it down wrong, he came back with it wrong. Of course! So we asked him why, in a joking and festive way try to lighten up the mood, so he asked how did it come out that way when we gave him such clear direction, he said he doesn t take well to direction. Well ok!! why are you a server then? The food was OK, not great but decent for the experience the atmosphere, if only they can get their service down. it was really a shame because this was a birthday group, and we are trying so hard to enjoy it, through these mishaps.
Great food. We came Sunday with no reservation and were able to sit at one of the bar seats. Recommend the ceviche, mushroom empanada, and rib eye. The short rib was also good and fairly big.
best steak ever - we got the Gaucho, it was incredible
AMAZING!! Must try spot in SF. Manager Vincent and server Neffrey gave outstanding service and made my girlfriend and I feel very special on our night out. Thank you Lolinda!
The best pork chop experience in life. It was juicy and seasoned to perfection. Brussels sprouts were cooked sweet and savory.
The Ribeye was bonkers good. The bar keeps were friendly and in the flow. The ambiance was that level of perfect light where everyone looks good.
Great food. Recommend the pulpo.
After ordering, getting the appetizers, waiting an hour, they told us all they were out of all the entres we ordered. So, an hour and a half later, we just had to like leave and go get entres somewhere else?
Fantastic at its price point
Excellent place Very attentive staff. Recommended for days in San Francisco if you miss Argentine food.
Meet with the general manager, Vincent. He took the time to explain the menu to us and gave some great recommendations. The service was great and the food was delicious
The food was alright, empanadas were cold. Nothing crazy about this food. I don t see the hype!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the food here. We had a big dinner and ordered everything, but its great to have just some chorizo, salad and a glass of Malbec by yourself at the bar. Its a delicious Argentinian chorizo, more savory, not as spice forward as Mexican or herby Spanish versions. Blood sausage is creamy goodness, very elegant versus down and dirty like some other blood sausage. Salads and veggies side like cauliflower or Brussels are a perfect compliment and all go well with the Malbec Reserva. Not really mentioning the steak, but all amazeballz! Each steak (skirt, rib eye, strip, etc...) is very nuanced in flavor and texture. Try them all, you wont be disappointed! Generally the Service is quite good. Been many times and never disappoints, except for this past Friday. Honestly was an absolute uh...witch. Very unfriendly and poorly trained. The waiter though very nice, rought us the dessert menu even though we had 2 more courses that we were waiting for. The back waiters acted like theyve never had to put multiple plates on a table to share. He delivered a plate kind of hanging off of the table, cuz he was u sure of how to make the two plates fit in the middle. Weird, again hiring the wrong staff, or not vetting their experience or not taking the time to train. Though I make it sound like the service is bad, and it was, it is the exception in my experience. We dine there often, and have never had a problem.
Delicious
Great place! Food was very good, empanadas were the star of the show, I think the chimichurri is one of the best I have had in US. Have to give 3 stars on Atmosphere since there was no music as it was not working.
When I arrived at this place they only had unreserved tables in the bar area, everything was great, the attention and kindness of the waitress when taking the time to explain the cocktails to me, the kindness of the waiters assistant when removing the plates, everything was great , the perfect meal, served quickly and at the relevant times. Then I went to the bar area and the barback was very friendly and always attentive to my order. 10 stars for this place.
Food and atmosphere was amazing!
Ribeye is consistently well seasoned and tender, nice vibe inside too
Amazing experience. Food was great and service was outstanding.
Great food in an intimate atmosphere.
I dont like the service. Especially the hostess lady.
The food was really good, I was expecting it to be more expensive for what we end up paying. The ceviche with the fried corn was definitely a good choice. The biggest issue was the noise, it was so loud it was difficult to hear the person in front of me. Food
Flap steak was great, pork chop was solid. Yuca fries and empanadas were okay. Food came out really fast (<5 min). 6.5/10
The food was AMAZING, the service was great, and the atmosphere was awesome MY wife and I are definitely going back soon. Thank you
The food was phenomenal. I got the tartar to start ,the chicken skewers with the sides of kale and potatoes for my antree It was amazing
Lolinda serves excellent Argentinian food with great wine pairing. The meat was melting in the mouth, vegetables cooked to perfection, the sauce of the gambas was delicious. In terms of dessert, the flourless chocolate cake was otherworldly. It came with just enough raspberry to elevate the chocolate and ice cream. Service was excellent and waiters were friendly and attentive.
Wonderful experience! We had 8 excellent dishes!!! Honey butter bread, seafood ceviche, cauliflower, beef and mushroom empanadas, hearts of palm salad, Filet mignon, churros. Excellent service and beautiful atmosphere, such a vibe I highly recommend!!! Vegetarian options: Some great dishes, mushroom empanadas, cauliflower, hearts of palm salad!!!
Got a New York Strip steak and it was so tender that it was like cutting a piece of warm butter. The taste was so rich and both atmosphere and service was right on point. I felt I was back in Bueno Aires for a night
Very much enjoyed the entire experience...the food was unique and tasted great. Service was top notch and friendly...I will eat here again when Im in town... Kid-friendliness: Not a place I would bring young...
Not the nicest neighborhood but the interior surprises you with its upscale vibe once you enter. The food is good and relatively reasonably priced. Service is decent and theres a nice vibe to the place. While the food isnt spectacular, Id go back because its good and reasonably priced.
Food and drinks were delicious. Definitely a solid place to visit if youre in the area. And if you like bone marrow.
excellent food and drink and super service. recommend the mushroom empanadas and palm salad and the Pistolero cocktail is stellar. Food : 5/5
Tough steak, dry plantains, hard cheese bread. unenjoyable.
This is arguably my favorite place to eat in all of SF. The first time I ate here, I was so blown away by my experience there that, while I was still finishing my dinner, I got on my phone and made reservations to eat there for the following evening. Whenever I come to SF, I always try at least one (ideally 2) known-good restaurants and at least one restaurant I haven t been to before. Lolinda is always one of the known-good one- the control - and I m never disappointed. I always get the Gaucho steak med rare, the pork belly, sometimes the provoleta and bone marrow.
Smooth service and mouth watering pleasures.
Amazing place with authentic Argentinian food! We ordered ceviche, empanadas, a salad and a meat dish. They were all delicious and I highly recommend, especially the chorizo and sausages!
What a great experience was to eat there. Their gumba with chorizo is the best!!! So so sooooo delicious ! I didnt care for anything else but their shrimp wish chorizo is worth coming back!
Fantastic food and great ambiance
Unfortunately had a terrible experience at this restaurant tonight. Started with a little fumble by our server when I asked for sparkling water for the table of four and he proceeded to pour still for everyone. Not a big deal, got passed it but upon reflecting on the entire service that lasted a little over an hour it was just an atrocious experience. The food came out at a good pace, but the server and food runners were not professional. The food runner came by to drop off steak knives and when doing so he threw them at us and not just at one person but all four of us. We all looked at each other like it was a joke or something, but he looked upset and like he didn t want to be there. He s a bigger guy so maybe not enough space for him to get through, even so I feel like he could ve asked us to pass them around instead of his throwing option. The courses felt rushed by the two food runners and both food runners we had tonight seemed annoyed and frustrated. I had to send back my steak because it was over cooked and did not taste good. It tasted like an old piece of meat, not dry aged(which isn t on the menu) but maybe the meat was oxidizing and collected a funk flavor. When I told the food runner about it he seemed annoyed and said I ll tell your server. Server came by the table and said you got questions? I said no I just sent my steak back because it was over cooked and didn t taste good. He said ok and walked away, about 5 minutes later he asked if I wanted anything else I said no because of the food runners making the experience unwelcoming and like I was troubling them for a service they get paid to do. It s unfortunate that hospitality is not in this restaurant s vocabulary. We used to come here often and were so excited to be here but the service ruined the evening for us. We ve never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant before until now.
Everything is very delicious, the prices are a little high, but its fine to go from time to time... the only drawback is the ambient light, very dark.
The food was amazing! The service was great. The inside was very nice and fancy. Highly recommend if you re visiting San Francisco. Make sure to book a reservation on time since it s in high demand.
Always a great experience. Food never disappoints. Head chef is always at his best A great location for a date night or a special dinner. Kid-friendliness: Definitely more upscale but if your child has a wide palate then its still a great time. My daughter is quite adventurous and loves it here. The pulpo and palmito salad are favorites along with the chicken skewers and steak.
Excellent food! Went for restaurant week and definitely recommend to try more on the menu. The ceviche was amazing.
I went there during restaurants week. It was $65 per person. I got Beef tartare, (1/10 it was raw beef ) Pork chops (9/10). After dinner, I found out that If I order from their regular menu, total price would be $56 which is cheaper than I paid. Restaurant week means restaurants offer discounted menus but Lolinda works opposite.
One of the best dining experiences I ve had in San Francisco. Their steak is amazing. The bone marrow is delicious and they have a variety of wonderful appetizers to try. I d highly recommend for a nice dinner out!
Wood fired grill is amazing! Good ribeye, the asado mixto should be better
Great place and service , I loved their Tounge, prices are a bit on the high side but thats expected, as it is very nice place.
Extremely solid place. I enjoy coming here for the empanadas, tons of veggies options, and spicy chimichurri. This is one of my go-to spots for when I need to plan a work dinner with varied tastes there s simple delicious food for folks with less adventurous palates, and flavorful interesting dishes for those who like trying new things. What keeps it from being 5-stars to me is off and on service. Sometimes I go and before I can ask to get the coffee I just ordered in decaf, the waiter has already run back to another table, for example. Another time, Dustin was extremely accessible and friendly as he helped our large group. So it depends!
Amazing and love this restaurant. The food was exceptional.
I started with Ensalade de Palmito (heart of palm salad). Very balanced and light salad. I loved the delicate taste. Then Hueso Asado (bone marrow) was cooked right. Medium rare Hager stake was great. My most favorite is Alcachofa (charred artichoke). Amazing marination and taste. I will definitely come back.
Went there last night after reading good reviews. We were sadly disappointed. Things we liked: -We were seated right away -waitress came quickly to take our drink food order -beef empanadas were fantastic -Beef tongue was delicious -Meat mix plate: short ribs, flap loin and the potatoes were good. -Chocolate cake was good What we didnt like: -Octopus was dry, chewy and over cooked. -Meat mix plate: sausages were dry and burnt on the outside. Bread on the plate was very hard. -After the dishes were brought to the table, service was nonexistent (waitress came one time after food was served). After we finished we waited a long time and finally had to flag down a person to have them remove dishes. -After guests came in and more tables were filled, it became REALLY loud. We could barely hear each other Overall, We would give this place 3 stars. Although this is a very trendy restaurant, there are better Argentinian restaurants around.
We order a few items, but we started with the yuca fries- the yuca fried was so smooth in the inside and crispy on the outside. The dipping sauce had a lot of flavor and an hint of pepper. We also ordered pulpo-same the sauces completed every dish. Our main curse was a New York Steak and Pork Chop with a side of roasted potatoes. The steak was juice it had a lot of flavor as the pork chop as well the chimichurri sauce was good as well. From the hostess to the server, the waiters and the owner were really attentive and they kept checking on us. The server gave us a few recommendation on the alcoholic beverages which he was spot on, his recommendation were really good. The dim lights with candles on each table makes it even better in my opinion and the music playing in the background made it easy to enjoy the place and the food of course.
Daniel has been lovely to us and gave us exceptional treatment. We will return. Thank you
Excellent Argentine steak house. Try the tongue even if you dont think you like it.
Definitely need a reservation for weekends. Most of the dishes are good, but only a few are exceptional. Main hall was quite noisy and lively, and while the lighting is low and decor is good and place is pretty clean, it could probably be a bit noisy to some. Tables don t have the greatest privacy at least on the first floor where we sat. There s no free bread for sharing, only those that come with certain appetizer dishes. Their bread is a bit dry too. Highly recommend: beef lengua. It came as a big chunk of beef tongue, not sliced or anything. It was the right amount of tenderness and flakiness , and had none of the tongue smell when treated not correctly. The vegetables that are paired with it are super fresh and cooked to the right amount. Filet mignon: not the best out there that I ve had but it s pretty good. Tastes good but won t order again for the price point: bone marrow (bone was huge, but there was only too little marrow) New York steak: ours came a little too fat at the ends. It s just what a steak is supposed to taste like, nothing unique here. I will say I like the grill. Tastes okay and can find elsewhere: octopus, shrimps, deserts. The octopus is cooked really nicely but the portion is small. The shrimps are just shrimps and don t really justify almost $20 for five shrimps. Desserts are classic ones that you can find elsewhere. They re not too sweet so it was easy to eat them after a full meal, but they re not unique. Yuca fries (I just can t justify the price for like six pieces of fries that taste bland). Overall we spent about $250 for 6 people without coming out too full. It s fairly reasonable and while some dishes are not as good as expected, others make my eyes light up. So it really just depends on what you get.
Really good grilled meats here. Love the chicken skewers and pork chops. Churros and cookies with milk are great for dessert.
Was here for an office party served family style. Was not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is that we ate upstairs and it was too dark to see the food we were eating. Oh, and unfortunately the small slice of cake for dessert was very very dry. Vegetarian options: The cauliflower dish and the brussel sprouts dish and the salad were excellent
Stop charging junk fees! SF mandate (5%) is not mandatory. Charging that to the bill is really sneaky. And to impose tax on that is even worse With the junk fees you easily push the tips to over 20%. Disgraceful.
Kid-friendliness: i wouldnt take kids here. Food
Great food and excelent service.
High quality steaks in a stylish large format. Gotta get here.
Quick. Efficient. Great meal. Great drinks. I don t know why it has taken me forever to get here. No complaints.
The rib-eye was so good, the Provoleta is so cheesy with the bacon marmalade is a must try.
Lolinda has hands down the best pork chop Ive ever had. The food here is truly magnificent, I have been here twice and each time I forget to take photos because I am so busy eating the food. The service is great, the ambiance is lovely. I always leave so full, not the gross full though the perfect amount of full.
Lively atmosphere with good Latin dishes.
We had dinner yesterday (a Sunday night). Place was packed, wouldn t have gotten in without a reservation. We had the bone marrow, the Filet Mignon and the 18oz Rib eye. Definitely do NOT recommend the bone marrow, it s all bone and almost no marrow (the marrow part is deceptively shallow - not even 3 small spoons of marrow in it) The Filet Mignon was not bad - I ve had better, and was expecting a better cut tbh. I m less ambivalent about the Rib Eye. It s what I order on every dinner place that has it, so I have a good reference to grade it. This rib eye was CHARRED - and as a result, it was mostly a medium when I ordered a medium rare. The cut was a lot tougher too - not a single bite was not chewy. And the server (probably the head server) had so many tables we didn t even get a chance to send it back. Also, as you can see from the pics, they give BREAD (very dry, hard bread) and very little butter on top. No comfort sides such as mashed potatoes and veggies exist - so it s all depends on the steak, which was very average tbh (Quality reminded me of Outback Steakhouse honestly). Even the meager seasoning was nothing special. Bottom line - I won t visit again, there are FAR better places at the same price point literally in walking distance.
First time here. Didn t have a reservation. Sat in high tables. Food and service were excellent. Cocktails were good. Argentinian filet was freaking amazing! Some of the best beef I ve had. A bit pricey but not a ripoff. $250 for two. Two drinks each, an appetizer, two vegetable sides (cauliflower was delicious), two 7 oz filets, and churros for dessert. Would go again but I d make a reservation next time.
Food was not that great
Delicious food, great srtbice and beautiful place
Delicious steak house. All the food was seasoned amazingly. I loved the cocktail options as well.
Fantastic ambiance! Decilous good! Absolutely coming back!
The Rib Eye steak called OJO DE BIFE is extremely delicious. Its very soft but not greasy, so you can keep eating it endlessly. Churros are the best dessert.
Some of the best food Ive had in San Francisco. I got the flap steak and we shared the yucca fries and broccolini and everything was incredible. The cocktails were also excellent.
Food, wine, and cocktails are a delight!
We were full an hour before we stopped ordering food. The sampler platters are the best way to experience the menu as every time was perfectly cooked and the portions are perfect for a group of four. We got one of each dessert and they were all phenomenal. Cocktails are great and the wine list is huge. Pricey but worth it
My filet mignon medium rare doneness is perfect! Not very heavily seasoned which I like. The portion is quite huge so do share the main course if you are small eater. The ambience is good for a date.
I m from Argentina and the food it s Mexican, it s very expensive for a food that it s Mexican i do not recommend it.
To be honest, they dont have anything Argentine. The desert cookies with milk are from Mexico, the chocotorta it s not a cake. Sorry guys but I ll recommend not to offer like an Argentinian restaurant!
Delicious
Everything was delicious, great recommendations by the server who was very attentive, food came out fast. We had ceviche, pork belly, ribeye and artichoke.
Went for a Saturday date night. Made the reservation a week in advance. This was our first time at Lolinda and they did not disappoint. We were seated immediately and were greeted by the server with complimentary drinks for our anniversary. We got the beef tartare and the octopus tapas as starters and decided to share the gaucho (26 oz bone-in rib-eye cooked medium rare) with the asparagus and potato sides. I also got a glass of cabernet to pair with the meat. Overall a great experience. The cook on the meat was excellent and the whole vibe is perfect for dates.
From the outside you dont realize that there is such a good place once you open the door.
This place is amazing. Great vibes, decor, food, and service. It s the whole package that for me did not disappoint. The flavors were amazing and will definitely be back!
Good spot for a group dinner. The food was solid and the drinks were decent. Obviously the steak was a standout but we also enjoyed most of the things we ordered. Our friend who is vegan enjoyed the veggie skewer, and the pork dishes were great too (we got chorizo and pork belly).
Love their ceviche
Great food. Great service. Only negative thing was we showed up early to get drinks so we hung out at bar and the hostess kept pushing us to take our seats. After the 3rd time we just sat down. Worth going regardless
Good food!
The attention of the waiters is very good. The problem is that you are going to sit at the table and the food is of very low quality for the price. I do not recommend this place. It is so dark that you dont even look at what you eat.
Overall, this restaurant exceeded all my expectations and provided a memorable dining experience that Ill be talking about for a long time. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a delightful ambiance. Dont miss out on this culinary gem!
Celebrated our anniversary and had a feast. Just a reminder the food is served family style, so all items are shareable. Because we were celebrating they gave us a complimentary prosecco. To start off, we tried the mixto ceviche and ensalada de palma, both were delicious. The ceviche mixto comes with shrimp, octopus in a fishy, lemon cold broth. The crunchy bits and sweet potato bites add texture to the dish. The avocado in the ensalada complicated the ceviche well. Next followed the pork belly and shrimp skewers. The shrimp had a nice smoky char but small 4 shrimp portion, wish there was more! The pork belly was cooked well, nice and juicy. Then for the last course, we ordered a rib eye steak (med) with their potatoes and asparagus. Wow! This combo hit the spot. The potatoes were soft and coveres in chimichurri dressing while the asparagus had a nice char! The steak was medium, so some chew to it, but very delicious flavor. We tried their simply irresistible cocktail and los diablos cocktail. Simply irresistible was sweet and subtle while los diablos had a small kick to it. We got a complimentary chocolate ice cream dessert and tried their tres leches, which i dont recommend. It wasnt moist like a usual tres leches cake. Servers were great! We arrived 15min early to our reservation (which we suggest making) Definitely coming back!
That flan was one of the best desserts I ve had in my life.
Love this place!! Food is delicious, they have good drinks Love the vibe!
This was an exquisite experience, the food was great and flavorful.
Everything including steaks is designed for sharing. Came with a party of 4 and enjoyed a number of dishes. Everything was great.
Never even got in they could not accommodate us even after making a booking.
Good food but drinks were way too sweet and service not up to par for a nice restaurant
Proficient waiter! He actually is looking for details. And then, he has manners and charm. Heck! Long time I havent seen such a nice service. Thank you Food
Asado mixto had tiny meat portions
Came here for anniversary dinner, food was amazing and service was pretty good; towards the end we had to get another server to help but everyone was kind and definitely would come back! Alfajores were an amazing dessert! Its been the Only place I have every eaten where i would compare it to home made ones.
The grilled meats but also the desserts are excellent
They would not hold a reserved table for me while I was having difficulty wading through the dystopian hellscape that surrounds this restaurant.
Great food, service, vibe and drinks. Really nice space. Rooftop bar has a 360 view of all San Francisco and across to the Bay. Kudos to Vince, the house manager , added an awesome and personal touch to our evening and a five star meal. We could not feel more personalized experience and surface. Highly recommend. Will be trying other brands under their wing in the SF area.
Upscale, rustic ambient atmosphere good for sharing in large and small groups. Pork chop was extremely tender and the bone marrow + beef tartar were excpetional appetizers.
Love love love. Enjoy the view.
Fast and attentive service. No long waiting times for the food. Food tastes excellent.
Everything is so delicious!
Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, great service. I loved it.
Best and chicken skewers! Empanadas were really great too! Drinks were amazing as well. Make sure have many churros you can.
Food and service were excellent. Steaks were delicious and so were the empanadas. Beware though it is VERY dark inside
Great birthday dinner.
The food is downright incredible and the service so lovely and knowledgeable of the menu. Best steak within 100 miles no doubt.
Every dish and cocktail delicious. Outstanding service.
Great Argentinian food at great value. The skirt was delicious
Atmosphere too noisy.
The drinks and food are really good. Bone marrow was amazing.
Ambience and cocktails were very good. However the steak wasnt that well made chimichurri on the side was amazing though
Parking: Always plenty Food
Terrible service and attention from the guys at the bar if you are Latino do not go they are racist they do not speak Spanish to you only among themselves even if you speak Spanish they answer you in English among themselves if they speak Spanish I would not go there again Terrible service and attention from the guys at the bar, if you are Latino, dont go, they are racist, they dont speak Spanish to you, only among themselves, even if you speak Spanish to them, they answer you in English among themselves, if they speak Spanish, I wouldnt go there again.
I appreciate this place. They could charge more, but they don t, and the food quality is superb. Its little places like these you understand in times of false inflation by other restaurants that have robust decor and poor food quality. My new #1! Food : 5/5
Unassuming entrance from the outside, but once you get in, youll be amazed. The service was great and friendly. Highly recommend for meat lovers.
Loved most of our dishes. The ceviche and pulpo were not amazing. The steak, empanadas, pan queso, were amazing. Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options
Incredible Argentinian inspired menu
Expensive, but food is good
Very nice place. Good food.
This restaurant has the best manhattans in town! Also love the pulpos and croquettas!
5 stars from entrance-to-exit. Literally everything was perfect or damn close. Food, service, atmosphere. Ive spent more for not only less food, but Ive spent more for less enjoyable experiences and Ive still left satisfied from those places and would go back to them. Lolinda out-performed and over-delivered. It normally takes me several visits to a city to find a go-to place that I know will always impress me. Im lucky I found this place on my first visit
Went to Lolindas to celebrate our sons birthday and the atmosphere was nice however in my opinion its like the space was over packed. I felt like everyone was in your face. Table seating was squeezed and not really big people friendly. We need arm space to eat lol. We were seated in a booth facing other tables which was uncomfortable and just trying to enjoy conversations its hard because my neck hurts just having to turn right to talk to my son and his girlfriend. Imagine being at the movies and four of you sitting in the back row of the theater watching a movie. Exactly!!! Staff was busy but service was ok. They charge for everything. Dessert was alright. I dont think its worth what we paid for because you can get the same steak at Outback or Texas Roadhouse, the only difference is what it was served on which the presentation was beautiful. The dining room was really dim which Ive never understood why.... when I would prefer to be able to look at my food while enjoying it. (You get what I mean). The bill was crazy for a party of four, our son spent almost $600... but I appreciated the experience but wouldnt go there again.
Food is good but not all food. The ceviche, pulpo, chorizo, and filet mignon are great. The mushrooms, yuca fries and mango/passion fruit tart where just ok.
Came here for a friend s birthday and was quite disappointed overall. The portions are very small. We ordered the gaucho steak, octopus, yuca fries, bone marrow, and artichokes. The gaucho steak (which costs $82) was advertised for two people but it barely fed one person. However, it did taste good. They forgot about our octopus order. When it arrived, the octopus tasted burned though I recognize that it s hard to get octopus right. There were barely 5 yuca fries in our $9 order. There was only enough bone marrow to fill a tablespoon. We did complain about the tiny bone marrow and they did gracefully get us a replacement plate. Overall, this restaurant is overpriced for its tiny portions. You re better off getting some to-go quesadillas from El Farolito down the street and treating yourself to drinks or ice cream in the neighborhood. Don t spend your money on the food here.
Artichokes and Yucca fries were a highlight. Blood sausage got excellent marks as well as the hangar steak. They were out of mushrooms and Argentine beef it was Sunday night so perhaps understandable but still disappointing. Gaucho steak was also good. The cerviche was pequeño, but perhaps it should have been expected by price and the menu category pequeño . The server just could have been more involved with allaying false expectations but a small detail. Atmosphere was large bistro. Something many like, but in the loud side. Would go back and will recommend
Stopped for some appetizers and drinks before a movie at the Alamo. The mixed ceviche was so good. The corn fritter tostada was a delicious addition to this appetizer. We also had beef empanadas. Appetizer portions are small but delish! The pisco sour was superb!
Solid experience at Lolinda - a meat lovers paradise
What a hidden gem! This restaurant is in a rougher area but well worth the journey. A must try in San Fran. Every dish we had was unique and full of flavour. I recommend doing tapa style when dining here to be able to try more dishes.
Loved loved loved! I was in town visiting and what a great restaraunt. I definitely will visit again!
Very far from the taste of Argentine food
Incredible food and atmosphere with a fantastic server while we were there. He really helped us figure out how many plates would suit our party since we had never been there before and didnt want to over or under order for the group. Definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food or a new experience!
Such a great atmosphere and food was top
One of the best meals I have ever experienced.
Best meal I ever had in San Francisco. I had bone marrow and Lengua and it was delicious! Best chocolate cake in the city too!!! i m going to miss this place when I go back to New York.
The meal was good, but nothing to write home about. Everything was standard, nothing stood out or was memorable. That doesnt mean the food wasnt good and we didnt have a good time. It was standard steak and small plates + cocktails at a San Francisco restaurant. There were no vibes on a Sunday evening, very quiet.
Best Argentinian beef I ve ever had outside Argentina.
The good was really good with fast efficient service.
Large parties with fixed menu are asked to sign a contract. If anyone backs out within 3 days of the reservation, you will be charged the full headcount, although they still serve all portions. Beautiful atmosphere. Parking is very scarce. Upstairs bathroom is less crowded. For the price you get a good amount of food. We were absolutely stuffed afterwards. OK dishes - Chimichurri Cheese Dip, Asado Mixto, Hanger Steak Yummy dishes - Mushroom Empanada, Fish Ceviche, Roasted Cauliflower, Halibut, Churros Nonexistent dish - Seasonal Peppers. When we asked the server what happened to it, he played it off and said the Asado Mixto comes with the exact same peppers. So we missed out on one item. Had we known we obviously would have selected a different side. He ended up bringing us more of the shishito peppers.
Ojo de bife and bone marrow were simply amazing!
Always wanted to try this place and really enjoyed it
Omg worst experience ever. Had dinner. Ordered another bottle lof wine. Barely tapped into the bottle and they kicked us out of the table! Said theres a 90 minute limit. Never going back. Excellent atmosphere, very good steak and ceviche, but the service was a miss. Had business dinner for 3 - let them know we wanted to share dishes, bit steak came out not sliced. The server seemed miffed when we asked they slice it for us. My client asked for Tabasco: server said we dont have that at this restaurant and walked away. Had to ask the busser and got a great alternative hot sauce. Asked for second glass of wine and they forgot. Whole thing was chaotic and not a good business dinner experience. Since the food was good and have had good experiences there in the past, only knocked off one star.
This place is delicious. The ambiance is amazing & the drinks are the best especially the Zombie. Customer service is A+++.. Make your reservations & go you will not be disappointed.
My dining experience here was somewhat of a mix bag. First, the ambiance and service make coming here truly memorable. We initially started with a Pan de Queso, which is similar to a Colombian Pandebono. The honey butter though was a perfect match. We then ordered the Ceviche - the fried corn was unique. However, the seasoning on the dish was a little flat for my taste. The same goes for the Vacio Flank Steak - it was flavorless. The last dish we had was the Pulpo served with Spanish octopus, which was a little chewy. The flavor was nice though. Overall, this establishment serves small plates that can be shared.
Nice place, I liked it a lot. The meat and snacks are good.
Upscale and good food
This was an amazing experience and a great romantic spot for any day of the week. Entering the restaurant you get a vibe of excitement, great hospitality and decent prices for the food you get. Me and my girlfriend were at the communal table and everyone around us was nice which is a great sign for a sharing situation. The waiter was extremely nice when I mentioned my order was taking a while (25 min for a small flap steak). At the end we had a very interesting dessert of cookies with a side of bourbon mixed milk( trust me, it tastes amazing) I would recommend this spot for any occasion and will return for another experience. Update 2, service is not great and they try to scam you by letting you sign up for a subscription in order to get a $25 off on your bill. It was good but the service definitely took a dip down
Wonderful vibe for dinner or drink! Drinks are great!
Perfect date night spot. Food is amazing drinks are amazing also.. place has a sexy feel with the dim lights which makes for a perfect evening.
go to for large parties. great meats.
This place in my view has some of the best steaks in San Francisco. The kitchen speaks for itself and definitely try different things and mix it up in a tapas style dining. The parrilla grill makes things stand out with the wood smoke that penetrates the meat. That said the service was not as great as I would expect from the price range , of this restaurant. No one checked in throughout the meal nor asked if anything was needed. Unfortunate miss that could have made a more well rounded experience. Wheelchair accessibility: The first floor is wheelchair accessible and has seating options.
Oversalted everything then did not season the steaks. The steak was cooked right but overall the meal sucked. Service was horrible, staff bordered on rude. I would try somewhere else.
Started with Vince being awesome and providing excellent customer service. Stephen our server was just as great Food was killer - had bunch of vegggies that were fire. Empanadas we re great too Thx
