Waiters was great and food amazing

Went here for date night. It was quite good.

Salad soggy, ingredients changed and missing. When returned was not even given a menu. Wings over done and stringy. Would not recommend. Bar staff loud, and not accommodating. Save your money.

Great place with some unexpected options. Very clean, especially the restrooms. Vegetarian options: Great Moroccan 9 Veg Soup with flatbread, salads, and sweet potato black bean quesadilla and the crispiest fries with soft insides I think Ive ever had. Takes a little more work for vegans, but the vegetarians and meat/fish eaters will be thrilled with the options.

Absolutely awesome! I loved my dinner and I tried poutine for the first time. Would love to go back again next year.

Food was pretty good but the wonton appetizer was super super salty Go easy on the seasoning salt.

Nice little restaurant on the river. The food was good, and the service was great. Parking: 2 hour limit during weekdays.

From Belle River area first time get food here and have to say everything was amazing. We ordered out but and service was great very nice and the amount of food was enough for tomorrow also. Great price for great food always appreciated The Asian nachos , vindaloo chicken and sweet potato black bean quesadia are definitely something to enjoy again.

I have been completely blown away by this place! First the service: our server Dara was amazing! Welcoming, fun, professional and attentive. The other servers if walking by also helpful and attentive. Everyone making sure our experience was perfect. Second: wow the food! Asian wonton nachos are a must! Packed with flavour and toppings - 1/2 order was huge! Burger and Cesar also was fantastic and delicious. Third: atmosphere was really cool and the servers made the vibe even better! Well done!

We were there last nite and this place is amazing. The Philly cheese steak was to die for. We will be back soon.

Delicious food, our waitress was efficient and friendly. Reminded me of the bar on the old show cheers! Check this place out, you wont be disappointed!

The staff are great

There needs to be a warning on their menu. There isn t, so I ll do it for you. Do NOT, repeat, DO NOT order more than 1 lb of wings along with their nachos. You won t survive. These wings aren t from regular chickens. These chickens were force fed, had zero quality of life, and were bred to be complete monsters reminiscent of the dinosaurs they evolved from. Absolutely delicious, and monstrous. That extra flavour and seasoning comes from the suffering these birds endured in their short lives as they were grown simply for our pleasure and I thank them for their service. Just falls off the bone. This is going to be a must visit spot for me the next time I m here. I have never had juicy large wings like this before. I hope those chickens, or whatever species they grew in the lab are, but hope they know they died heroes.

Walked into Sideways on a Friday at 8:30pm and the kitchen was closed! So we walked over to Davis craft kitchen and bar and ate there, which was excellent. People are struggling in this economy but no one wants to stay open!

I absolutely love the atmosphere!! The staff are always amazing and make you feel welcome every visit. Great pub food, and plenty of selection of beers on tap. The order: Belgian Moon on draft and the Chicken Ranch sandwich. SO GOOD!! See you soon.

Went there for dinner 125 $ for three people. Tipped 25. I ordered wings for takeout and they didn t bring them and I remembered after I was halfway home. I called them to ask them to put aside and would come get them and was told there was nothing they could do and sorry about my luck . I said so I m just not getting what I paid for and she said yes and they all laughed as they were hanging up. Usually support small businesses but not if they are thieves

We popped over from Saginaw Michigan to have lunch with no place in mind and found Sideways. What a gem of a place! We had the poutine, fish & chips and a gyro. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. Jess was amazing - friendly and efficient - and answered all of our questions.

We we re looking for a local Sarnia joint and came upon this based on Google reviews. My daughter and I shared a fantastic burger and a pretty decent Caesar salad. The fries were definitely of the frozen variety but everything else, including the friendly and efficient service, we re delightful.

Such a great experience. The waitresses were awesome and the food fantastic .Was an ups and downs fan but this was way better .Give this a try you wont be dissapointed Parking: We were lucky the outside parking places were open

Staff was incredible! Erin and Jess made our time there so much better. It always helps to have a place you can go, and the bartenders increase the experience for the better. Being from out of town, they were also helpful in letting us be comfortable in a new spot. Can t wait to stop in again. It will be our go-to spot in Sarnia from now on.

It had been a couple of years since Id been there and is not the same as as what I remember. The food was good but service was slow and our server was talking to other patrons about going to see some adult entertainment after work so.... next.

Best wing joint in Sarnia, hands down. Give it a go if youre in the Sarnia area.

Dinner with friends. Menu is extensive. Prices as expected. Food portions adequate. Food was tasty and came out fairly quick. Drinks refills came fast. Been years since I had been here. Will go back for sure.

3 of us had lunch here. Burger was delicious, Greek salad was incredible, and the pasta dish was delightful. Will definitely go back and try some other dishes!

The service, bartenders, and drinks are always great. The food is a hit or miss. Had to potato soup, pad Thai and spicy bacon poutine. The soup and pad Thai are always a winner. The poutine I wanted it to be good really I did. It was horrid. Like McDonalds is better, and thats saying something.

Had Sideways Wonton Nachos yesterday and they were fabulous!! Huge serving, lots of toppings, absolutely delicious! Our cocktails were perfect! Our server Jess was friendly and helpful and definitely added to our enjoyable visit; the other server also was but I missed getting her name. A great atmosphere we will be back Jess! Thank You!!

Unfortunately sideways didnt want our business, group of 8 hitting downtown and having a drink at each bar. Sideways was next on the list. We were asked if we were doing food or drinks, we said drinks and possibly some food and that we are doing 12 bars and there were 5 people outside smoking and chatting. Promptly told we dont participate in that. Said that fire code was 60 people I counted 33, couldnt stand as it would block the area and escape. Then worse part is she said she would have to look and get back to us the turned and served a customer leaving us there standing, waited few minutes, she was still serving customer. We left. This was bar #5 and I will never set foot there again. Downtown core is struggling bad. Places are closing up. Can you really afford to send people away like that.

Went to Sidewsys yesterday for Wonton Nachos. They were delicious. Our cocktails were pretty tasty as well! The service by Jess was excellent n the atmosphere was very friendly n comfortable. Looking forward to going back soon!

Love this place. Great vibe. Good good. The one waiter that always serves us is a beauty. Highly recommend. They made a very minor mistake with my food and they replaced, took it off the bill and gave us free dessert. Debatably the best bar food in town.

Enjoyed the bar/restaurant and the staff were great but unfortunately after eating here I had severe food poisoning which left me bed ridden for 24 hours. I m assuming it was the shrimp, as I only had that and a salad.

Stopped in for dinner on a quiet night with the little ones.. Maybe not appropriate for ones with younger children (warning only bar chair seating) .. But waitress was more than nice to accommodate where she could. Got: fish n chips -- batter could be better but my 6yo son couldnt get enuf (so whos to say) Philly cheese sandwich -- tasty!! Quesadilla -- surprised how good it was... Ceasar (cocktail) -- very well executed and another standout. Overall Sideways is a friendly neighborhood bar with very good food.. Everyone including little ones all left happy...

Great place to come downtown for food. Ceaser salad is fantastic! Good menu and food was excellent. Sometimes odd music choices and music is very loud.

The staff are fantastic! They always go above and beyond. The food is mostly homemade, which is a bonus. We will absolutely come back again and again! So not a pretentious place.

Hubby got the spicy bacon poutine and he said it was just what he was craving. My kids got the popcorn chicken and fries and loved it. Kid-friendliness: They have a kid menu

Used to love this place but the food has gone down hill. They used to have my wifes favourite burger but the past handful of times it has been mediocre. From what I hear the staff turnover is quite high here which makes it hard to keep the food tasting consistent. Service is always top notch though.

We tried to taste Canadian cuisine there, such as Buffalo wings and some other marinated fried chicken wings. The food was great, and the price was acceptable. The service was perfect, and we got a lot of attention from the waitresses and the cashiers. If you plan to stay one night in Sarnia, I totally recommend having dinner in Sideways Classic Grill.

Great local place! Small, but cozy and not cramped. Super friendly staff and they even remembered us when went back the next night! Had fish and chips both nights because it was delicious! Can tell it is a local spot. Really nice atmosphere and good food. Plenty of TVs with various channels on, but not too loud so you can actually enjoy your conversations as well.

Best pad thai in town. Killer.

Nice laid back spot for a drink and some food after work. Staff was attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. I had the pulled pork poutine and definitely recommend it! Ill be sure to go back next time Im in town.

We LOVE Sideways - everything from the vibe, to the great servers, to the incredible food. We were there on a Saturday night - wasnt overly packed, but was certainly steady. Between the 3 ladies working, we were constantly attended to - checked in on, drinks were kept flowing and food came out hot. Their wings too... Theyre not to be missed. #lemonpepperparm Im practically drooling typing, thinking of them. Haha! A great place here in Sarnia - not to be missed.

The Buffalo Tofu sandwich is delicious, and the garlic parm fries are totally yummy.

Another great lunch at Sideways. Buddha Bowl and Grilled Cheese both very good. Excellent service too!

The layout of the place was very nice. However, the bartender, or manager, coughed without his mask on and put it on after. With all of this COVID stuff going on, please keep your mask on or at least sanitize the area.

Classic Pub Fare Done Right. Had my first visit with a couple friends. The food menu isn t huge which I think is a plus. They focus on good food and good service. Food came quickly but perfectly prepared. Our server helped us with excellent suggestions. I will definitely be back

I believe I had something called the Buddha bowl. It was amazing. My husband really liked his food as well. None of the staff acted weird when I breastfed my son while eating my dinner which was really nice.
