Such an awesome place to host a party.We hosted a party at Side Pockets, from reserving to planning the food they were so super helpful,can t say enough about how great they were everything ran so smoothly I would highly recommend them.

This restaurant has become our go-to when in Sarnia. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is welcoming and not blasting loud music like some places and staff are friendly. During our most recent visit we were lucky to have Vicky as our server. She was hilarious and professional. Our favourite app is the spinach dip. We popped in for drinks mid-day and the service was great, as usual.

The food is simply below-par and mostly bland. In my multiple visits here over the years (always tagging along and not choosing it), I don t ever recall eating anything that I enjoyed. There are simply better options all over town.

The bellybuster fish & chip dinner was excellent. All the other dishes that i could see, looked lip-smackin good! The servers did really well considering we had many people at our long table.

I started off with a glass of wine in a DIRTY GLASS. It was replaced in a clean glass. However, salad had a bug crawling around, so eventually the manager/owner came by to chat about problems. He claimed that it was merely a fruit fly since when is fruit fly acceptable in one s salad?? No half price or any such compensation. I should have told him that I had had breakfast that day at the same table as his father, and gave a golf club to his sister!! What? Yes. The final straw was when the waitress accidentally broke a wine glass, smack on our table! Won t be going back soon.

We were there as part of a large group on Friday night. We tasted a couple apps on the table, they were good. Essentially we just ordered cocktails and beer. My review is for server Vicki. She handled the large group (30? at times) like it was a group of 4. Exceptional service. Always paying attention to the groups needs. And she is hilarious! Keeping us laughing. Stokes is lucky to have such a seasoned professional on their team.

Ordered take out. Soggy nachos, roast beef instead of steak on Philly cheese steak sandwich, missing items, the only good thing about our whole order ( which was over 100$ btw) was the fries and spinach dip. Will not order again

Stokes Inland has always been a great place for food and gatherings and it still is. We just had our hockey team get together and we were totally delighted with the food, service and atmosphere. Five stars across the board from me.

New menu compared to last time I was there and its covering more meal options steak, beef, chicken etc. Food was perfect, the waitress was too and the price was fair especially when we lucked out with 1 dollar chicken wings lol. Definitely going back in the future

Just had a party of approximately 23 people. Our waiter did an impressive job of keeping on top of everything from start to finish. Everyone enjoyed their food. Played some pool, had some laughs..had a great time overall! THANKS stokes for a nice night! Kid-friendliness: We had a 3 & 4 year old playing and running around...also pool tables kept a 10 & 14 year old occupied.

Waitresses awesome, mac n cheese was delicious and looked so good. the music was amazing.

It was really delicious. I would go back for more. It was clean and its a place you can take your family and service was fast. They have the bar separated from the family side and theres a pool table if you feel like being a pool shark. Overall a very nice place. The bathrooms smells a little funny but it was clean. The waitress was very nice and she was very fast with walking out our food. The food was hot and I cant say I was disappointed it was a great place. There was parking but it looked a bit packed. I would recommend this place to my family and friends forsure. Definitely need to go and try the food its pretty good. Vegetarian options: Yes theres options for vegetarian people Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendliness 100 percent.

We attended a busy 60th birthday party for a friend. Bar staff was unfriendly, meager food trays werent replenished. Everyone was cut off from the bar before 9pm ( I saw one customer who was overserved). I went to buy a beer from the other bar and was told rudely that I was cut off (after 2 beers!) because I was with the party in their other bar! Never been cut off from a bar in my life! The staff then called the police because some customers were complaining about how we were being treated as a group. The cops laughed at the staff and left. Unacceptable treatment of guests who were not causing trouble and who spent tons of money. Wish I hadnt tipped so well. Will never be back to deal with these jerks.

Great prices. Extremely friendly staff. I ve tried a ton of their dishes. They re all yummy minus the chicken parm which has a kraft cheese slice on top of a sad piece of chicken. They have the best ribs and wings in town. Nice environment. Update The food has been slacking lately. Plus every time I go I don t get the yummy bread which is a main part of me going here.

I had great time at Stokes Inland and the family expressed the same! Its a great place to go for the family or any gathering! The food was great and my wife had the steak that was perfect!

I had dinner with a friend, he had Cajun Chicken and said it was delicious, a little spicier than expected and I had the platter with wings and potato skins. Food and service were excellent.

I was so excited to try Stokes for the first time, but I became pretty disappointed very quickly. I ordered a turkey sandwich and a side of poutine. The sandwich was the driest and skimpiest sandwich Ive ever had. No flavour, just sad, dry toast with dry turkey and barely any filling at all. The poutine was actually amazing, though. They definitely know how to do fried foods. My boyfriend tried a pulled pork sandwich and onion rings. Again, the sandwich was pretty sad, but onion rings were very well made! The portions were small for the price. I will come back to give them a second chance and I hope its worth it next time.

Oh boy has this place gone down hill. Spent many days in here drinking and eating over the years. We were at the mall shopping, we decided to go somewhere close for lunch. Since we are in the mall we usually goto the Chinese food place in the food court. Always good food and service. But we decided on someplace different. So we decided to goto Stokes. Bad decision! The place only has a few people in the dining area. So we sat asked for a booth. Sat for quite a while before we got menus, then we ordered drinks. Another party came in and sat down. They ended up getting their drinks before we did. Then we ordered lunch. I ordered Fried Son of a Gun. Suppose to have breaded and deep fried chicken. Not sure what the heck was in it. But it sure wasnt chicken. That item should be taken off the menu. It was TERRIBLE! Hell will freeze over before I ever eat here again.

Very slow service. Staff barely checked on our table or meal. Zero vegan friendly options. Very disappointing the menu has not been updated to accommodate people with dietary restrictions. (lactose free/gluten free) after ordering, it took so long to bring the food out, it was cold when it arrived. I will not go back again.

As great as it was before the pandemic. They honored their 3 year old gift certificate which made the visit that much better. It was always our go to pub food restaurant and will remain so.

Fantastic team leaders!

Such a boring menu. Everything fried, everything ordered was bland. Wasn t a fan of the food before they closed and still not a fan now that they have reopened. Was hoping the new owner would have seen something creative on the food network or magazine to add to the menu. Lol. Seasoning is your friend.

Great food, service and value for your money. My go to when I work late unplanned or don t plan dinner, but the kitchen hours have become inconsistent since reopening , the last few times I ve gone to place an order 30-45 minutes before close, the kitchen has been closed. Becoming hard to remain a loyal customer when it s not accessible/available when you need it. Please update hours so the later crowd can plan accordingly :(

The food is decent, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the environment is clean and the prices are reasonable. Would recommend this restaurant! Parking: Theres lots of parking spaces in the parking lot. Kid-friendliness: It is somewhat kid-friendly, with games to play like air hockey.

Good food reasonably priced, but would like another option than only overcooked carrots for a veggie. Wow....,today they served carrot bean medley.....thats awesome, and not overcooked. Good job guys!

We stopped in on our way home from Port Huron for a quick snack. The food was great and the service was even better. Much to our surprise the owner sat down and had a nice conversation while we ate. It was a great experience. Parking: Parking is right in front with a large paved parking lot for many cars.

For a pint and pub grub its not bad. Recommend trying the wings, burgers and salads. Might want to avoid the ribs and pasta dishes.

Small outdoor patio isnt in a great location, and not well kept, but the food was incredible!

Inexcusable lack of concern and customer service. We will not return to Stokes inland. Five members of our family had reservations at Stokes Inland for 6:30 pm to have dinner before attending an 8 pm show at Imperial City Brew House, Friday May 12. Our beverage order was taken, the server brought our drinks and shortly after, our dinner order was taken. Our early Mother s Day celebration had begun and we awaited the arrival of our Stokes favourites. Time went on and at one point the server showed up with pop and water refills put them down and left so quickly we couldn t ask about our dinner. We saw her on and off and tried to get her attention but she did not return to our table. We began noticing people who had come in after us being served their food. By the time we got her attention 40 minutes had gone by. We told her told her we needed to get to a show that starts in 20 minutes. She abruptly said I know I am trying to take care of it in the kitchen, I ll get a manager . A manager then came to the table, we explained that we d been there since 6:30 it was now 7:40 and we needed to leave right away for a show. She looked flustered and said I m so sorry and I ll get it sorted out . She returned a few minutes later and said it s being plated now. Clearly the order hadn t gone to the kitchen originally. Once again we said we need to leave now and would have to take it to go. She looked surprised and perplexed even though we had made it clear to her we had to leave promptly. Next thing the server comes over with the bill to be paid. She said nothing about the issues as if everything was fine and we still had no food. She finally came back again with bags of food. We asked if there was cutlery in the bag as we are likely eating in the car at this point and of course there was none. Off she goes again and comes back with eating utensils oblivious to how poor our experience was. Generations of our family have loved Stokes for decades. We will not be going back to Stokes Inland not only because the service was deplorable and the server couldn t care less about the incident but also how poorly the manager handled it.

I have been going to Stokes for as long as I can remember with my family. We had the same waitress for years (who watched me grow up and is still there and is amazing!!) and the food was always incredible!! Unfortunately the experiences lately has not been the same. An example is our Mother s Day celebration with my husband, parents, and Grandma. We had an event we were going to that was located close to Stoke s Inland at 8pm on Friday, May12th. We decided to meet at Stokes at 6:30pm and made a reservation for that time. We showed up and our order was taken around 6:40pm. Around 7:20pm we began asking about our order as other guests who came in to the restaurant after us had orders taken and food come to their tables already. When we asked the waitress we had said nothing other than I know that, I ve been trying with the kitchen and then smiled and said I ll get the Manager. Now around 7:40pm the Manager comes out and says I am sorry I will check on it. She seemed extremely flustered. She came back and said they are plating your food. Now 7:45pm we said we will have to have it packed to go as we have an event to go to at 8pm. She was shocked we would take it to go. We had explained several times to the waitress we had an event we paid for at 8:00pm. They came back with the bill, had us pay, and then brought the to go boxes. We had to ask if there was cutlery in the pack as we would be needed to try and eat it in the car at the venue before we went in and there was not so they went back and got some. There were no other apologies however there was more of a feeling that we had inconvenienced them by asking for it to go at this point and absolutely no mention of any amount off the bill for the extremely long wait. This was the worst service I have experienced anywhere and it truly makes me so sad to say that as I have LOVED Stoke s Inland. After this experience our family will unfortunately be finding a new favourite restaurant. I hope that the manager can take this information and reflect on how to make experiences for other guests better in the future.

I hadn t been to stokes in years. I just went for a birthday a few weeks ago and loved the food! We went back this week and had another amazing meal (portobello mushroom chicken) it was incredible. Awesome staff! Highly recommend! Will definitely go back

We just had my husband s surprise birthday party at side pockets this past weekend. And our service was fantastic and so was the food. When I called concerned about the food and wondering if I would have enough for over 30 people they assured me we would and they were right. We had lots of compliments on the food and the young man who was our bartender that night was fantastic as well! So I just want to thank the whole staff involved for making his party a success!

We had a party of 12. The food was mediocre. Some of the meals were ok, but some were cold or very small portions. Service was very slow, she rarely came back to check on us. Tried to get a drink at the bar, but that was just as slow. And it wasnt a busy night, just poor service.

Sad to say Ive had better food in my worst work camp, will not be returning. Chicken parm tastes like it was a reheated grocery store chicken burger with mediocre cheese and sauce, Mr noodles is better than the pasta they served with it

Been coming for years never had an issue till today. Go in to have dinner before a show, we were seated promptly and ignored for the better part of 20 mins not even a drink order taken. Watching many other come in be seated greeted and have orders taken while we sat with menus closed waiting patiently. Then we gave up and left without even a drink. Returning in the near future wont be happening. If it was busy and others were waiting as well that would be understandable but it wasnt even half full and we were completely ignored. Went directly to another locally owned venue and had a great meal elsewhere

My boyfriend and I went to lunch here and the lady who was our server was pretty awful and sleezy. We both got the rib combos with chicken tenders which was supposed to come with bread but never did. We gave her the sauce we wanted and she brought out the wrong ones and then charged us extra for the correct ones. When it came to paying we got the paper bill and the electronic to find that the electronic bill was $13 more than the paper bill. When we asked about it we watched her go back and uncheck the 30 something % tip button. Wonder how much extra she gets by doing that to people for awful service.

Ordered Wings and Nachos And I am very impressed with the wings! The Customer service was a 15/10 for me. The staffs were very nice and pleasant. Will definitely revisit this location again! Highly Recommended.

We were in town from Michigan to buy a few things and looked up a place to eat so this little place came up! I really liked the atmosphere as I walked in, we were greeted & seated by the wonder who was super friendly & told us whats good on the menu without even mentioning he was the owner! The food was great and the portions were pretty decent or evev more than decent over all it was a really good experience at great prices!!

Just came again tonight and honestly the service really here is amazing. Every time I come Im not disappointed. My gf and I go there once every two weeks on our lunch breaks and split the inland nachos. Costs us five bucks each and the nachos are delicious and the service is always quick and friendly!!

Disappointing to say the least. It was advertised as 2 for 1 Wings on Wednesday. We had a guest with us from Venezuela, and she wanted to try the wings. When we sat and went to order, we were advised the boneless wings were not included in the Special, and they were full price. When we ordered the regular wings (with bone), we were advised we HAD to purchase something in addition to the wings, so we ordered fries (mistake). When we placed our order, we were told we had to order by the number of wings we each would like, and we were NOT allowed to bring any leftovers Home??? I asked for clarification, and the waitress again advised that should we order more wings than we could eat, they had to be left at the Restaurant and we could not bring them home. I ordered 6 wings. My daughter ordered 5 wings, and our guest ordered the boneless wings. When the food arrived, all of us were beyond disappointed. The wings were hands down the smallest wing I have ever seen. The fries were luke warm, and appeared to have been reheated. Wing sauce was horrible as were the fries. Almost $60, and we all left disappointed and hungry. This will be our last trip to Stokes Inland for a while. It used to be one of our go to restaurants, but now its on our do not go list. Such a shame.

We had a gift card that was not longer eligible due to new ownership and system changes - the owner personally came to our table and essentially honored the card, even after we told him that we understand and can forgo the gift card. It appears to us, that customer service is a high priority for this establishment. We look forward to continuing supporting this business.

Awesome food and great service. The atmosphere was different, broken up small rooms it felt like. We had drinks and apps in the bar. It was a little dark and the TV was very loud. The bartender was amazing, very attentive and fun.

I live in whitby and was visiting friends. They treated me to dinner at Stokes. I wish we had a similar place where I live. It was lovely to have a special seniors menu which Ive never experienced before. Its nice to be treated so well for a change. Thank you.

We were one couple in a group of 25 for a birthday party. Our. Server, Jill, handled us like a pro. Everyones food arrived at the same time. Food was hot and delicious. I had the broasted chicken and my othe half had the pickerel. Generous portions - even the seniors platters. Will go back and will tell others to. Ample parking. Steps at the entrance will make it a concern for the mobility challenged. Thanks for hosting our extended family; we had a good time and a lovely meal for my sisters 75th bday. That carrot cake was terrific.

Went to the show and then later we wanted to get a bite to eat and drinks. Walked over to Stokes..we got out of the show umm just a little after 9. The waitress said the kitchen was closed. We were like really apparently they closed 45 mins ago. Come on, it was just after 9 and you close your kitchen..so disappointed, wont be going back there.

The service was good but had chicken strips and fries. The deep frier needs to have oil replaced or they double dunked everything. Chicken was falling apart dry and flaky oily batter. I always have chicken strips everywhere I go out these were the worst ones Ive had. I have been here before in the past (less than year ago)and they were good. Also a side note, customers were vaping on the patio which Im pretty sure isnt allowed. Mentioned the chicken finger issue and they removed it from bill. Was too bad though about the meal as it was a date night

Went to Stokes after the Sting game Friday night. They offer 4 free wings, or a snack sized nacho free with proof of your ticket. As always food was incredible. LOVE their wings, and they have in my opinion, the best spinach dip and points in the city! Service is ALWAYS top notch, and it is a family friendly atmosphere.

Place has gone down hill over the years. Service slow. Food average.

Quantity is good here, but I have noticed theres been a slight reduction in the quality of the sauces for wings, ribs, and pastas. I dont know if this is a preparation issue, or a supplier issue, but please improve the quality of some of your sauces.

Stokes has always been our favorite place to go in Sarnia, but the last 2 times we have been there (November 22) we were very disappointed. The appetizer salads were smaller than usual. It took much longer than usual to get our food and it was barely warm when it arrived. Both times the baked potatoes were so overdone that you could hardly cut through them with a steak knife, the skin was like leather. After the 1st so-so experience we thought it was just an off night, but after the 2nd 2 weeks later it seems like things have gone downhill unfortunately.

Food was fantastic and our server, Terry, did a phenomenal job. Super impressed as well with the personal touch from the new owners. I have nothing but good to say about my visit here tonight

There food is excellent buy the refuse to serve anyone that doesnt wear a make so the manager walked me out and took my order from outside the restaurant. I only continued my order because I had a gift certificate and told them to keep the change. But myself I refuse to support anyone that doesnt support my right to not wear a mask. thank you

Ordered the rattlesnake pasta for takeout. The pasta, the caesar salad and bread were all yummy. Fast and friendly service too!

Fun time

In the past I would have said meh...take it or leave it but we went there a few weeks ago and the food was all really fantastic. Great service too. Sitting on the parking lot patio is not ideal but considering the circumstances, it is what it is.

Back eating inside Stokes after way too long. The service was great, Vicki did an amazing job. The Broiled chicken was a big portion and very tasty. Wife had the Beet Salad and was also fresh and tasty. Will be back soon. Great job to the Stokes team.

The staff there are great. Very friendly. Very fast. Your drinks stay full. The interior is unique. Some cool pictures and items hanging from the walls. Some cool plant design hanging from the ceiling. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was very good as well. My only complaint is the menu dosent have certain things I enjoy, or that stand out to me. But that is strictly personal taste. I have been here many times and will go back. I gave 4 stars. But It should be 4.5 if it would let me. Only lost a half start for menu choices. Not taste or quality.

Good food...the only draw back is the long wait to get your order. Otherwise it would have been three stars never five stars only because theres no Bayfest.
