Google helped us find Bains as we were passing through on a long drive. Terrific meal at a good price and attentive service. Couldnt ask more of a restaurant. Very satisfied.

Bains BBQ was recommended to us while we were in Sarnia briefly. Strangely Google got us to the back of the restaurant, in the nextdoor parking lot We had the brisket sandwich. It was very good Portions are on the smaller size, and maybe priced on the upper side. We visited mid Saturday afternoon, and there were only two other tables occupied, so we were in at a low time. Our waiter was quite a character, and made us quite welcome If in Sarnia again, we might stop in again

Great BBQ for a good price. Been there 3 times, and have never had bad food, or bad service. Waitress was quite friendly, and the price for what you get is excellent. Highly recommend Bains if youre thinking about it.

After leaving a very good review a year ago I am now changing some of my ratings because of not so good service. When the restaurant is only half full and your food takes over 50 minutes to serve, THAT IS BAD. No acknowledgement like hey food too long sorry blah blah blah or anything. Tables around is got their food before us which is what infuriates my always. We had to ask for the basics because our server obviously wasnt good enough to provide for us, such as napkins and a bottle of ketchup. Not coming back. Horrible service.

Had an amazing time as usual!! Mike was our server and he was absolutely stellar!!!! Some of our group had meat platters and rest had ribs!!! And the sangria, if I wasn t driving I would have had another!!!

I liked it I just feel like the ribs should be a little bit more tender. I didnt like the mac & cheese, but the potato salad was bomb.

Best burger and chicken in town! But they also have nailed down the caesar salad, nachos, and baked beans. Its always the first place I take guests from out of town.

If you like barbecue you need to try Bains. The ribs, the burgers, the soup, sandwiches... Oh my. Must see.

Rolled into town as I do 2-3 times a year. Boston Pizza was closed due to a hot water issue. Based on the reviews I went to Bains BBQ. Unbelievably good! The reviews are legit. You owe it to yourself to give it a try!

The best bbq chicken wrap Ive ever had. Most restaurants over grill their wraps making the lettuce hot, soggy and gross. Not this place....This place makes it just perfect! Lettuce is still crunchy, the way its intended and not to mention the chicken.... that chicken was actually amazing .Thank you for awesome service as well.

Absolutely fantastic barbecue! The options for sides are really varied and super tasty, I love the seasoned fries. Such a great way of adding a little something more to classic fries. The meatloaf is out of this world. It s well worth the slight wait for it to be made. We have a 7 month old baby and we ve always felt welcome with him there which means so much. Highly recommend eating here!

I just picked up the meat platter for takeout for my dad I and we were both thoroughly impressed by the flavour, quantity and quality of the meats. The service was great as well. We ll definitely be ordering again soon

The food was fabulous. We shared onion rings and then had the brisket with warm potato salad and the chicken nachos along with our drinks. I found it to be very loud and difficult to hear the person right across from me in the booth. They didnt check to see if I needed a y more water with my meal. Staff were friendly enough, but I felt they were just doing their job but not really feeling the customer service side of the job. Parking: If they are busy you could find yourself parking in the next parking lot

We arrived there at 5:30 pm with reservations it was really busy on this Saturday night , We ordered 2 meduim rare NY steaks with baked carrots and baked beans , and my husbands sides were loaded baked potato and baked beans , we ordered two coors light , and my husband had a small chicken soup I had a small salad . About 6:55 pm we finally received our meals we had to be at the movies 7:15 pm since we had already bought our tickets . We thought for sure we had lots of time to eat since our reservations were at 5:30 , and that would be lots of time to eat We have never had a problem here with our meal and how long it would be to serve . So next time you go there you might want to check and see how long is the wait for your meal ??

My husband and I went to Bains for date night. We had never been before and both ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs. The food was excellent and very large portions. Neither one of us could finish our meals. Our server Micheal was fantastic. He was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, welcoming, and on the ball. He checked in on us but never hovered and let us take our time and enjoy our food. We will definitely be back.

If you re a meat lover, go ahead and get the Smokehouse Meat Platter. Beef brisket-10. Bacon wrapped meatballs-10. 1/4 rack ribs-8 1/4 chicken- 7 Wings- 7 (felt a bit tough but still very flavorful) Sausage- 8 Pulled pork- 6 (basic in comparison to the rest of the platter contents) Highly recommend checking it out for sure!!!

Love this place when I visit my hometown. Great place to get together with friends and family. Even as a vegetarian I find a great selection for myself! Vegetarian options: great veggie burger and last time I had the veggie kabobs that were so good. Also love many of their side dishes.

I have been coming in since my kiddos have been young. they have kept up on my kids and my life. Bain and his amazing wife are my favourite people to visit when we come in and the kids always feel like theyre visiting family. the food is always amazing and the staff is always fantastic I have NEVER had a complaint. 8 years strong with these guys and I will forever love these guys!!!

My husband and I went for the first time for our anniversary lol. We absolutely loved it. We had the meat platter. Lots and lots of food. We brought lots home. The warm potato salad is so flavourful. The pulled pork is tender and has a slight sweetness to it. The beef brisket is delicious. Sorry Baines, but my ribs are better . Yours are delicious though. I am not a fan of cornbread muffins but loved yours. I would definitely recommend and will go back. Our waiter, Michael was terrific. He has such an upbeat attitude, was welcoming and attentive. Two thumbs up for sure.

The food was good. Except the Mac and cheese. That was flavorless and went back. The brisket sandwich was good! Lots of meat. The fries sprinkled with Cajun spice were awesome. And of course the drinks were cold!! Its a busy place. You might want to reserve a table ahead of time.

Be sure to try the warm potato salad. Absolutely dynamite. One of the best cooked steaks Ive ever had. Perfectly red all the way through with barely any gray around the outside. Looked like something Ramsey cooked.

Had dinner here today, Sept 29, 2022. It was outstanding! A wide variety of bbq items to choose from, and from what we saw, all were done with care. The kids menus were abbreviated, but the quality was not. (We may have taste tested :)) My wife had the chicken while I attacked the meatloaf, both were good. Juicy and sweet. The mac and cheese with bacon is creamy, and Ill try the jalapeno option next time to switch it up. Even the coleslaw is very good, an item that is often overlooked elsewhere. It is not overpowered with spices, not drowning in vinegar, was very crisp tasting, and i love the addition of pears. Michael was a very attentive server, thank you! The portions were enough that we had plenty to take home with us, great value! Will definitely visit again!

Were new to Sarnia area and decided to try Bains tonight. The food was phenomenal, tasty, delicious.. our toddler even loved it- he ate his entire portion. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it

Worst bbq meal Ive ever had. Ribs were tough as boots and the baked beans are a chili not baked beans. Mentioned it to the server and they just shrugged.

1 hour wait for food after ordering. Instead of just telling people it s a 15 min. wait for a table, it might also be helpful to tell them they will also wait another hour for their food to arrive. And to top it off not a single server seemed concerned about it and a Manager never even came to apologize. Yes it was busy but that is no excuse for any restaurant to have customers wait that long. Have good customer service and the common courtesy to tell customers before they order. We would have never stayed had we known the wait time. If you visit I suggest you ask the wait time for food before ordering.

Great food and service

We ordered takeout wraps on Monday the wraps were okay but what I did not expect was to be served several day old coleslaw. Coleslaw is an inexpensive item and when you order a side for 5.99 you at least expect it to be fresh from a fast food joint. Not impressed this was not fit for consumption when we opened the container it actually smelled and it tells me that have poor food handling procedures

We love bains BBQ, we usually order the meat platter as it has a variety of meat and a couple sides we always choose warm potato salad and bbq beans this platter feeds 2 people easily with some left over for hubbys lunch.

I ordered there meat platter lastnight with the hott potato salad and mac and cheese. All the food was amazing and cooked perfectly! It was all packaged very well and traveled well and stayed hot until i got home. The server was super friendly and very helpfull on the phone! Cant wait to try it again!

Vacationing in Brights Grove and happened to come across this fabulous restaurant. Owners were a delight, very welcoming and the food was delicious. It was that good we went back for a second time and was not disappointed. The ribs, steak, chicken wings and the homemade potato salad is to die for. Thanks for stocking up the Strongbow

My favorite restaurant in Sarnia easily. Go every Friday night and it s always consistently good. Waitresses are friendly and amazing and the food is really great. Owners are fantastic people and really care about employees and their community. Great local beers on tap too. Must try this (unless you re a vegetarian)

Amazing BBQ!!! This was some amazing BBQ! A family run roadhouse right in the heart of Sarnia! This is a spot that s been here for years and one that I have been meaning to try. Am I glad I did!!! I had the the Smokehouse Meat Platter. It feeds more then two people so make sure you are hungry. It comes with 1/4 beer can chicken, 1/4 smoked rack of ribs, smoked pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked sausage, 2 smoked wings, and 3 bacon wrapped meatballs. Choice of two side: I got the Mac and cheese and the potato salad with bacon chunks. Top it off with two cornbread muffins! My belly was so happy and full. Thank you to the entire crew at Bains for an awesome experience. You can dine in, sit on the patio, or get take out. They even do catering for larger events. Give this place a try if you haven t yet. I ordered a Mr. Bains Burger for take out on a Friday night. I ordered at 4:15 p.m. and was told to pick it up at 6:00 p.m. I knew it would be worth the wait and it is to be expected in these Covid times. I wasnt disappointed with my meal. The hamburger is a meal in itself. I had a side of their awesome signature potato salad.

Arrived after a Sarnia Stings vs Peterborough Petes game. They welcomed us in and gave amazing service. Great food - excellent pulled pork, burgers, poutine and potato salad! A must stop before or after the game at Progressive Autosales Arena - just around the corner! Hope to be back soon!

We had great service, as always. The warm potato salad is the best ever and a great option if you dont like bacon is the substitute the bacon for cheese...OMG....brings the dish to a new level of perfection. The wraps are very tasty and generous servings all around...will be returning often

Amazing experience dining in. The owner and staff were very welcoming and personable. Great selection of drinks, and amazing quality meals. They are diligent in following covid safety guidelines and thats something I deeply appreciate, and I know many others will as well. First time here as we live an hour away, but the food was SO FREAKING GOOD! We tried the chicken and ribs, we will definitely be back , super yummy. Only downside is that I was to full to try dessert.

Gluten free options are available on the menu, and the portions of food are filling. Just that they arent open on Sundays.

A friend suggested that I try her favourite BBQ spot in Sarnia for some take out and I was not disappointed. The hot potato salad was delicious and the coleslaw I had also is part of my top five favorites, I had the ribs which were Smokey and tender, and had the right amount of seasoning and sauce... I also like that they were precut between each bone to make them easier to pull apart or cut. The owner and staff were really pleasant and easy to talk to while getting the order. I will definitely return again if ever in the area maybe next time for a lovely sit down to really get the full atmosphere of the place. Keep up the excellent work!
