Disgusting service , no refills, did not come back to see how meal was , fried chicken was full of fat and when my daughter cut it open grease came pouring out . At the bill I disagreed and wanted to speak to the manager . She comes walking out of the kitchen rolling her eyes . And continued rolling her eyes because I told her I wasn t paying for something that my daughter did not eat . She told my daughters and I we were not welcome back .Dont worry we will NOT be returning ! Too bad Sal wasn t running it because he knew what it was like to care about his customers !

We went there today, as most Restaurants were closed (July 1). Our first time there, and we really had no intention of going there, until we were searching for a breakfast Restaurant that was open. VERY glad we did! Breakfast was awesome!! You can have homefries with your breakfast, or you can switch them out to hashbrowns (which we did). The Breakfast special was only $9.99 and included 2 eggs, 4 large slices of bacon, hasbrowns, and 2 slices of Texas toast. A GREAT deal! (The only bummer was the coffee was separate and was $2.65 each). Food was fantastic, prices were reasonable, service was fantastic. We will definitely be returning! Parking: Lots of free parking at the front of the Restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly. There were several Families there with small children Wheelchair accessibility: There was a wheelchair ramp directly in front of the restaurant by the main entrance.

The young girl stayed sweeping the floor around us as we ate ! The fries were very under cooked ! fish was more greasy today !Coleslaw was weird tasting ! Gravy was cool and lumpy and no one came to ask us nothing !!! and it was so hot in there

Very good breakfast.

I had the corn beef and hashbrowns and poached eggs medium. Eggs were done hard and cold, hashbrowns were tasteless. Once the food came we seen no staff till we got up to go pay the bill, there was food all over the floor in the side seating. Husband missed out on his dessert. Sorry wont be back

Sals has always been a favourite of mine . My favourite server holly always gets our order out fast and never lets us wait !! I find when holly isn t our server we end up waiting and never get a coffee top up or a smile :( she really makes that place !!

Very quiet, family friendly restaurant! My breakfast sandwich was absolutely delicious. My company had asked specifically for crispy bacon with her meal and she received chewy bacon. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars. Thank you!

Food was good. Dining room and dishes were dirty. Update in February 2023, changed from 3 stars to 1: worst takeout Ive ever gotten. I barely touched the turkey dinner. There was a pile of soggy dressing under a pile of dry turkey. Mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless. Vegetable was warm broccoli and carrots mixed with ice cold cauliflower. The only good thing about the meal was the cranberry sauce, and it probably came from a can. This is my 3rd bad experience and I wont be giving them another chance. Id give 0 stars if possible.

Everything on the menu sounded fantastic, and it was difficult to decide what to get. We ended up going with your classic bacon and eggs and pancakes. All of it was perfectly cooked and had good flavour. The extra crispy fried has browns were my favourite. There are extremely generous portions and we were planning our next visit before we even got the cheque. The service was very quick, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food came quickly. Sals is a must-stop in Sarnia!

Just waited 38 minutes from time of order until food arived for a burger and fries pretty tough to have an hour lunch when you barely have time to eat and get back to work myself and coworkers will not be returning

Third strike! 1. I ordered eggs benedict and it was served with hard poached eggs... When I asked for them to fix it, the entire family came to my table to ask why that was a problem. The runny yolk is what makes an eggs benny. 2. I ordered a quesadilla - it was tasty. But it was more of an interpretation of a quesadilla. It wasnt on a tortilla, and the cheese was only around the edges which made it impossible to eat like a quesadilla. 3. I decided to give them another chance and ordered chicken and waffles. I assumed this would be an easy feat for the kitchen... But the chicken was raw on the inside!! They fixed it for me but I sat there looking at Marry Browns knowing that a teenager could have cooked it properly, it would have been good, and wouldnt have taken as long. I will not be back.

Lots of yelling in Punjabi coming from the kitchen. Sink was nice for feet washing, but the petting zoo should be kept outside.

Not up to par on this visit. Hashbrowns were over cooked and very dry. Had to wait for servers to sort out who was bringing the bill. When the payment terminal was brought to table, it had not been charged and remaining charge expired during transaction. Waffles were excellent!

Phoned in my order at 6:16pm and was told 25 minutes. After multiple queries as to when it might come out, I got it at 7:21. Very sad service. They said that they got a large walk in at 6:30. So? Dont orders go in sequence of arrival?

Horrible service. Lady serving was walking dead. No refills no asking how food was! And food had zero flavour. Bread burnt. 2x in row with less than desirable food. Think we will go else-place. We wish them the best thou. Need to have better servers

Restaurant was dirty, table was sticky. Server was sweeping floors not far from our table. We stayed because we were told the fish and chips where good. Well what a disappointment; we ordered halibut dinners. The fish was very small rollls and so very dry, the plate was full of fries. It was the worst dinner weve ever had. Another dish was fried chicken and chips, again the plate was full of fries and 3 small pieces of burnt chicken. This was dish was sent back. In fact Im upset we didnt send everything back and leave the restaurant. Our bill was over $70.00. What a rip off. Never to return.

Just left this place. Never again. The man that sat us and got us drinks was great and friendly. Then some lady who couldnt even smile took over. Never asked us how our food was, or if we needed anything. Never filled our drinks. We had our 2 kids with us and had to stop her to ask for extra napkins, she gave us 2. My omlette was alright. Egg was over done. The hashbrowns had zero seasoning and tasted like oil. I couldnt eat them. Tried to pawn them off to my 3 year old who loves hashbrowns and he wasnt having it. The chicken and waffles was a plain waffle with....bone in... unseasoned chicken. Served with cold honey garlic. It was just a mess.

Great Breakfast and lots to eat. Editing my review from 3 years ago to 2023. Take out breakfast two weeks ago they forgot my bacon. Today my hashbrown were homefrys with onions thrown on top. My poached soft eggs were upside down and cooked almost hard. I reordered from another restaurant and threw my Sals breakfast out. I will not ever be back.

Picked up 3 orders of the Cod fish and chips. Small portions of fish (batter fell off of fish)& (used to be larger), fries way too many and over cooked. For the fish and chip price, it was not worth it. I used too order from there at least once a month but I will not be returning there again... We are not happy for paying $76.00 for horrible food.

Went to sells the other day for breakfast, my order the food was ok. Their atmosphere was okay The only thing I had a problem with was how dirty their floors were! Even the front cashier desk was dirty They get four stars on everything else but they getting - 2 for cleanliness!!!!

So sad to watch a restaurant we supported and enjoyed for years slip down to what it is now. I got the two pc haddock and fries to go today at the Corunna location. Id never been there before. Always the Confed. spot. The meal I had in house was great! Service was fine! It was the fish in the to go order that was awful! When I opened the box there were two curled, shriveled, and dried out pieces of fish. There was NO actual batter left on it. By this time the Corunna location is closed so I called the Original, explained I was unhappy, and I took the order back there. I asked that the fish be heavily battered. I was assured this would be the case, that they would be double battered. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, I had plenty of time, and a small view of the kitchen. FILTHY! I saw 4 people in there. One had a hairnet. The grill looked dirty and had a dried up burger sitting on it. One of kitchen people picked it up and began to eat it!! The floor had visible dirt. When the fish was ready I asked to see it before it went into the bag. They were almost EXACTLY the same! These ones had a VERY light coating of batter in spots, but again, curled, shriveled, and dried! I left it all there. I will never go there again.

Exceeding slow service today! The restaurant was only half full & after being there for over 2 hours, I only managed to get 3 cups of coffee, with lots of empty cup time in between. When our order for 16 was taken, we received it on the table within 20 mins! Sadly, it was so difficult to get anyones attention, a few times one of us got up & went to the counter for service! There was only 3 on the floor, with one normally at the counter, but later there were only 2! After sitting for our bills after the dishes were cleared, for 1/2 an hour, we all got up & lined up at the counter, without our bills, to pay & leave! Sals needs to up their service game! Maybe its an inability to hire sufficient staff, but nothing was ever communicated... not even an apology for the terrible service! At least their food was still great!!! Today the service was excellent! Our cups were topped off with coffee without needing to request it! While busy, it was not fu to capacity! The food was good & delivered quickly, considering we were a group of 18! Still a great place to enjoy good food in a nice atmosphere, with polite, attentive wait staff!!!

Food is very nicely done, REAL bacon not microwaved, very clean just one of the servers could smile more...Lil down looking all the time or at least every Sunday morning at breakfast! Clubhouse sandwich rocks!

WORST PLACE EVER DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!! Went for lunch. Had fish and chips ....gross & can of pop each. B Bill was around $36.00. We had heard was good fish and chips. Fries were refried at least 2x. Fish was not cooked very fishy batter was not cooked. We shared 2 pc halibut. We have both felt sick. Sitting on stomach. IN RESPONSE TO OWNER:::: We were not given receipt, we had to go to register. We did not recieve check either. We were not even checked on to see how our meal was?

Great food, great staff. A perfect place to eat with the family. You should try their chicken quesadilla, it s perfect! French toast and bacon are great combo, and don t forget the fish and chips. It s the best fish and chips in town.

I enjoy grabbing Breakfast here with my family, but they have a large menu. I appreciate the fact that they serve breakfast past 11am. Crispy Bacon, home fries are always golden brown!

I have been there a number of times for breakfast with family and also for dinner with friends. The food is good, the service not bad but the wait staff always unfriendly except for the boss. Is it too difficult to work with a smile and be friendly? Your customers are the ones who keep you in business. Show that they are appreciated. I ordered breakfast without bacon, no meat, and it came with greasy bacon all over my home fries. The rye toast was very small, the size of a loonie. I am a disappointed customer.

Has this changed ownership? The quality of food is not the same as the last time we were there. Service was very slow and there was only two other tables occupied. We waited more than 20 minutes for our drinks and then they brought my daughter coffee when she asked for water. Sarnias best fish and chips...I dont think so. We ordered haddock dinners and the fish was overcooked. No malt vinegar either.... My daughter had a chicken quesadia and it was soggy and very greasy. For the 3 of us the bill came to $76 with tip although I really didnt feel like leaving one.. i think it will be a long time before if ever we come back here. Way overpriced and not good quality at all.

A very disappointing experience. Our simple early bird breakfast took nearly an hour to be served, and when it arrived, the bacon was soggy and the toast was hard and cold (the butter didnt even melt). Avoid this one.

Great little place for breakfast

This place is so good I came here twice in one day. Me and my mom went here for breakfast and I got the waffle with berries. The jam and whipped cream is homemade and the berries are fresh and warm. If you live in Sarnia I don t have to tell you they have some of the best fish and chips in the area. Try their cod!

Great take out service. Quick, accurate, great food and prices. Call ahead order always ready for scheduled pick up time. Do not even have to get out of car as they have a pickup window. Do not change a thing.

Was ok. Big portions. Price was average. First time customer. A couple things lacking. Ketchup was not heinz...some kind of vinegar ketchup. Changed the taste of the meal. Service was friendly but minimal. Ordered an orange juice. Was given a bottle of orange juice, no glass. No table service beyond taking the order and dropping off the food. No bill/check provided. Pay at cash register on way out. Menu dirty and half laminated plain paper. Place seemed clean. Not sure if I would go back.

Eggs Bennie was ok, son had steak and eggs. Steak was very tough, the place is run as cheaply as possible was most definitely not worth $47.00 for breakfast for 2. Washroom was piecemeal together and not exactly clean, don t think I will be going back again anytime!

Sal advertised a special. I clicked the Dial now button on the add. Ordered the special that was advertised at $19.95 so with tax I figured it should have cost me about $23. It didnt. They charged my debit card almost $34. When I questioned Sal about the mistake, he told me the special had ended!!! Their was no dates on the Facebook add as to start and finish! Ive ran a successful business in Sarnia all my life. I never had to advertise my business as I treated my customers respectfully and they would recommend friends and family to patriate my shop. Sal Ive ordered your food of skip the dishes every week for a long time. Its always been great and Ive been more than happy with everything. But to say the add wasnt active when I used the add to order makes no sence. Sal Im not coming back!

I used to be a frequent customer but I feel it s not nearly as good as it used to be. Portions are smaller and service is extremely slow now. Waited over an hour for a breakfast poutine. Tables around us were upset cause they were experiencing the same. Food came out and the portion seemed to have went down. Definitely doesn t warrant the prices.

I got the Italian Omelette and it was delicious! And the home fries was excellent as well! Staff were friendly and the dine-in place was clean. They have the Halal Grill option as well! Recommended!

Update: Breakfast is good. Big portions. Breakfast poutine is delicious. Friendly staff. BUT...the bathrooms are disgusting, please clean!!! Went for lunch and it was a different experience. Chicken sandwich was a chicken burger from a box with a piece of lettuce on a bun. Not very good at all. Staff demeanor seems to have changed, they dont seem very happy anymore. Bathrooms are still filthy!
