We are never getting the competitions (sub)sandwich ever again! Actually, there is no competition! Alphies from now on, they are the best for deli-sub/sandwich, hands down!
Not from here but my mom is and I really wanted a deli sandwich that felt very homemade and just my luck I was at the pharmacy next door when I looked up a deli spot and heard that it’s a Sarnia staple. You can tell this is where the locals come for their cheap sandwich for lunch and that’s exactly what you need in this economy. Good food, good atmosphere, and great owner. He did NOT skimp out on the meat and the bread was soft and fresh! Basically got two meals in one sandwich! Highly recommend stopping by and trying the spicy or non spicy assorted, you won’t regret it!
Wish I could rate higher. Sandwiches are amazing every time. If you want an obnoxiously large sandwich that will fill you up come to alfies. Friendly and funny staff.
Tried on a whim after seeing reviews. Ordered a small mild assorted and it was well worth the price! Packed it with meat. Was fresh & delicious. Would absolutely come again. Subway doesn't make them like this, Support local!
Hole-in-the-wall deli that has been a Sarnia mainstay for decades. Love the owner and his rapport with customers, including the taps on the sandwich at the end! I look forward to coming here when I'm in town!
I knew this place would be legit when I saw two guys just hanging out on lawn chairs outside and realized they were the ones that worked there. These old-school sandwich shops are hard to find in a world of sterile food chains. It's probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Tons of fresh meat sliced directly in front of you, crunchy lettuce, mayo, mustard...it doesn't get better than this. Now I just need to figure out what kind of beer they like...
These kind of spots are hard to come by nowadays. Owner was super funny and nice mentioned he had been open for 18 years. Such a cozy old school vibe with incredible service. The subs are the best I've ever had cheaper then eating anywhere else. Top 3 spots in the city and not number 3
Best down low Sub shop in town! A little Sarnia Jewl. I got a small assorted and it was massive and there was over an inch of pure delicious assorted meats. The owner is a great dude and is always friendly. They have tons of dried meats hanging up so add a couple pepperetts of your choosing and your laughing. They even have some small grocery items you can choose from.
There was flies in the store, employee doesn t wear gloves trying to rush customer near the closing time. This will be my first and last time at this place

Swung by this place while visiting the area...couldnt have been happier that I came by. Tony was really friendly, patient with us, and made sure we were taken care of. The samdwhich and meat is freshly sliced, great tasting, and great size portions. If I loved here, would be here a few times a week at least.
Plenty of meat on your sandwich, and no artificial preservatives as they slice their meats everyday. They have finally improved their bread. May appear to be pricey but that amount of meat, and butter isnt cheap.

Went to get a sandwich and theres a Druthers sign on the door? Cheap alt-right propaganda is a trashy look, keep your sandwiches. Bagel Factory and Soups Up are getting my business from now on. Be better.

My girlfriend and I came in looking to buy some pepperetts and were immediately fans. The pepperetts we got were amazing, hot but not overwhelmingly so.
Fantastic sandwiches and delicious cold cuts. Alfie can whip up a delicious sandwich pretty quick and he has some pretty interesting pop imported from the East Coast. Be warned, his large sandwiches are pretty damn large.

Sandwiches are huge and they have a lot of dry meats only real issues is it can get really busy and the deli is small.

Great sandwich store. Lots of meat. Bun cab be dry at times. Used to be a lotnmor smear on the sandwich but still good. Only negative is that 1 time i bought a pig ear for my dog and when I got home and was going to give it to my dog I noticed that there was mold growing on it... gross!!

Amazing sandwiches, peperets, and lunch meat. Such a big sandwich that you can eat half and save the rest for later. The service is also amazing. The young guy that is always work at the store is great, he is very personable and funny. He makes great small talk while making your sandwich and makes you feel welcome. Place is takeout only. Very clean and well kept. Great place for lunch in Sarnia and I would highly recommend it to anyone. This is one of those must try places and a definite highlight in Sarnia. Give it a shot, you wont be disappointed! Also they have a mobile food truck as well but have not yet given it a try.
