Was a nasty experience for my first time your kitchen staff should be wearing hairnets because I found a hair in my food I am very displeased with my experience and do not recommend

Had dinner recently here and had the best roast beef dinner. Everyones food was amazing!

Me and my friend went here and they came outside and said that we were banned permanently from there restraunt because we asked for water a couple times prior. the water is free and so I dont understand and am naturally confused and disappointed

Homestyle food priced cheaper then fast food

The staff are friendly and efficient. Quick with service and the food is home cooked. I would recommend Sophias Diner to anyone!

Only been there a couple times but enjoyed both times. From what Im told, it is owned by the same people that own Nicks out on The Golden Mile and we have yet to have a bad meal there . Another super meal today. My Wife had the meatloaf special and I had the super tender, succulent , roast beef. Both came with soup, a bun, and desert ( rice pudding or jello ). As I have said previously, you can not get a bad meal there.

Amazing place! My favorite breakfast spot in Sarnia. I try and get into Sophias once a week or more. The food is always 100% fresh and enjoyable! Kitchens clean, the staff is always awesome! Thanks Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is a ground level entry way.

Sadly disappointed in their fish and chips. It was always amazing before and now I am experiencing food that is overcooked, and the soup also was not satisfactory. Cream of broccoli tasted sour. Ugh

I have had burgers and filet of sole here and both are excellent meals. Servers are very friendly and kind. They are reasonably priced too.

I love this place. The atmosphere is very warm and unique. Easy to feel at home. Quite jazz like music in the background. This place is truly one of a kind. The service is amazing. I cant really recommend this place to eat. I tend to love omelettes and you cant really go wrong with them unless for some nefarious reason you want to give your customers a day filled with dread because you let your cook use American sliced cheese. For the love of everything thats right in this world, use real cheddar, marble, or mozzarella... Anything but that fake processed crime of a so called cheese. Thank you.

Had breakfast at Sophias Dinner it was very good. Large portion, and great tasted. U will not leave hungry. The server she was amazing. She was very welcoming, friendly and was on top of coffee refills and checking to see if everything was good or if we needed anything. It was a very busy morning there but the food came out in a timely manner and our server was jungling several tables but would not have known it. Great place to go. Great food, wonderful server and a family atmosphere. Check it out well worth it.

I go to Sophies quite often. It is a tiny place but i enjoy going there to eat. I noticed someone seemed to be upset about many of the customers being 60 and older. If you dont like it dont go. Go back to your gaming houses and your hamburgers. Anyway I like the food and the atmosphere. Only had one waitress in the last 4 years of going their that was rude. I hope this pandemic doesnt close this place up.

Our visit at Sophias Diner was nothing but disappointing. After checking out the reviews and talking to family who enjoys Sophias we were excited to try this breakfast spot. However our visit was disappointing. We had staff that was not pleasant, food that was mediocre and a drafty cold spot by the window and when it came to the bill we were charged an extra dollar on a menu item when the menu and the online menu showed it to be a dollar less. We brought this up to our waitress and she just told us well we changed prices 2 weeks ago. I would have appreciated an apology, or some recognition - maybe even we are in the process of updating our menus. We paid our bill and said we would never return again.

I went to this restaurant yesterday and the food was very good but I wasn t impressed with how their handling the COVID situation. Although all the waiters had masks on, none of the cooks did and they were not social distancing from each other and their the ones that are handling our food. The service was ok but not the most friendly or fast.

the BEST homefries the service was quick (not super friendly but definitely not rude either) which was nice because they were busy - our breakfasts we pretty pricey for what we ordered - it was really crowded and cluttered but it was also cooler out so outdoor dining was not set up

Excellent old fashioned Clubhouuse. Real unprocessed turkey VS deli turkey slice. Served as ordered, with a smile, and genuine appreciation on choosing Sophias as our destination!

I may have given this restaurant more stars had it not been for the way I witnessed how the owner treats his staff. Udderly disturbing the manner in which he yells at them. There is a window from kitchen to dining room, and you can hear everything. Its surprising how the owner hasnt been charged with misconduct of staff. What a shame staff has to put up with this. I didnt bother staying to try the food. I was disappointed as the menu looked good but no way am I going to put money into the pocket of an owner that needs anger management classes.

My service was by Far some.of the worst I have ever had in my life !!!! 1 waitress and mind u she was busy but WOW !!!! She comes to the table throws the silver ware down and says Ill be back in a couple NOT Hello Not Good Morning NOT Sorry were a lil busy ill be right back

First time eating here food was absolutely delicious will definitely be back . Need to try all the other stuff . This time had the spaghetti perfection no garlic toast bit didnt matter salad also crisp and fresh.

Interesting atmosphere.

Nice little place. Food wasnt bad, nothing really special. Decent prices for the portions. Got the breakfast plate with eggs, hash browns, sausage bacon, ham, peameal bacon and toast. The color on thr shredded hash browns wasnt the greatest. They were still white, no golden crust but the flavors were there with the green onions added.

The group I was with decided to go here for our dinner... Staff was very polite but and this is a big but our server had told us that everything was made in house... Well it wasnt I had ordered the bacon cheeseburger deluxe that came with coleslaw and fries. Well the Burger was a store bought Angus burger that I can buy from any groceries store, the fries where frozen fries from a whole sale retailer, the coleslaw was also store bought and not good it came warm. Something else I had noticed is that the general age demographic seemed to be over 60 years of age. My biggest issue is that we had been told (EVERYTHING WAS MADE IN HOUSE) how in the hell do you have the right to make a statement like this when 90% of what your serving is either store bought or frozen
