My son and I recently ordered Takeout here. I was asked to record our order on paper, and I ordered a salmon-avocado roll and a cucumber-avocado roll. Instead I received a cucumber roll and a salmon-cucumber roll.

Id only ever walked in once. I was told I couldnt eat there but also I could sit down and eat there. So thats weird. I left and wont be back as its unclear if its only take out and/or the tables are just for pretend?

My absolute favourite sushi place, me and my boyfriend always go on dates here when we have the money, its always amazingly fresh, well made and incresibly delicious. I have a wheat allergy/gluten intolerance and i can eat most of this sushi fine if it doesnt have battering, crab or soy sauce.

I ordered through Uber Eats and was not happy with what I received. First of all, I ordered a 2-roll combo and only received one of the rolls. Second, the rolls were tiny and NOT worth the price. Third, I ordered the sashimi salad which did not taste fresh. Very disappointed and wont be ordering from here again.

Tried for the first time.Sushi rolls were decent (tuna and salmon). Btw, for two orders of sushi, wish it came with two sets of Wasabi and ginge4 packs. (Take out order so realized it only later) Food : 5/5

One of the best sushi places that I have been to.

Friendly, courteous, surprise miso soup and iceberg salad. The sushi was questionable. There was so much rice compared to the ingredients. The salmon was minced... That grossed me right out. We ordered edamame too and they were just steamed and table salted. No sauce or spice. Low quality sushi but maybe thats why it was on the cheaper side. We wont be back.

Its a very nice place to go for sushi, Korean barbecue and rolls. The ambience is extremely pretty and cozy. The chef, the Manager and the staff are very humble and helpful. Definitely recommend Kitano Sushi For a warm and nice lunch or dinner.

We had a wonderful lunch here! My colleague had the lunch box and enjoyed it, it was also a good amount of food. I had the two roll special and it was very good!

My Yam roll tasted like mold. I was very disappointed I ate one really confused about the taste and the second one I spit out. Now I m nervous I ll get food poisoning

Came in for a take-out order. Was greeted by an older man who I can assume is the owner. He was incredibly kind, and helped me through ordering. I ended up getting two sets of salmon sushi and a California Roll. The roll came with side cups of soup and salad. The sushi was made with excellent attention to detail, and its obvious the chef is passionate about their work. The taste of the sushi was likewise excellent. The soup was slightly bitter, though its more than possible to look past that and still enjoy it. Though I ordered takeout, the environment of the restaurant was amazing, and it very much reflects the image of a place that knows what theyre doing, making me eager to dine in there in the future.

I went here on my birthday. The servers were great I did not have to wait. We had teriyaki skewers and Cheddar jalapeno poppers. The miso soup was delicious. I ordered the pork belly set. My friend ordered the short ribs set. I prefer the short rib. I also ordered the shashimi which was probably the best Ive ever had in sarnia. Look forward to coming back again. Please get some Ashi beer.

Best sushi in town.

I heard a rumor we had a sushi place in strathroy. So I decided to hunt and find this place. I found it! I was not impressed. I usually eat all you can eat sushi, but have had ala cart sushi at many places. I found the rolls to be very small. One commenter noted the was so little fish in the roll it was tasteless. I would agree with this assessment. I ordered an eel roll. I couldnt even tell there was any eel. It was also so small that it easily covered by my thumb. Ill post a photo. I had the 20 piece sushi plate. I had no choice over what was given it was chefs choice. 6 salmon 4 shrimp 2 tuna 4 tilapia and 2 eel and two Im not sure of. I found it to be quite over priced for what was given. The thumb size roll was 7.50. The sampler was 25$. Would I eat here again? Yes and no. If I was in London I would go to any number of sushi places. If I was in strathroy and was jonesing for sushi and needed immediate gratification I would.

Tried ordering last night and the server told me they were booked up for the weekend. I m not even mad. I love kitano and I m so happy to see them doing well and keeping busy during these times. I ll pre order next week forsure! Every time I ve called in an order the service is so friendly and the food is so good. Can t wait to dine in again!

Not bad for Japanese in Sarnia. The sushi was my last favorite part - hardly any fillings and too much rice. The rice was a bit bland as far as sushi rice goes. We got the salad combo but the octopus salad was slightly frozen. The bulgogi was pretty good, though, as was the selection of fresh pickled vegetables that must have been done in house. The server squeezed us in even though we had no reservation, and we got a nice private booth so the ambience was great

Robin is a master . words can not describe the taste , of you dont like sushi, they have lots of other things. their lunch special ,is fantastic my daughter and I eat it twice aweek you cant go wrong, more food than you can eat and price that is great

Awesome service, amazing sushi ! Atmosphere is great for groups, couples, or individuals. The owners operate this location and the pride of ownership is seen in the excellence of service and quality of food .

Kitaro is located on one of the main streets in Sarnia in an odd little raised plaza. The space is large and well-decorated, with several private mini-rooms along one wall. Staff offer a warm welcome and the menu is quite complete. We each enjoyed a salad and shared the appetizer platter, which was generous. Our bill was quite modest and we left happy! The only weakness was that there was only one (very hardworking) waitress for everyone in the diningroom and she was really stretched keep up with all the tables. As long as youre not in a hurrry, this place is very recommendable.

The food is really good, the service is really good. Our waitress was great. The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is the food takes a bit too long to get to us. Everytime is about an hour wait after ordering.

This restaurant was previously located downtown but moved to its current location and did an amazing job with the decor. This is a family run business that I often visit and have never been disappointed. They have daily lunch specials that are hard to beat. Highly recommended.

A great meal as always. The appetizer platter is a family favourite, and the selection of nigiri, sashimi and rolls along with other options means everyone can find something delicious to have for dinner. I love the 911 and Breeze rolls in particular! Good service and pleasant atmosphere round out the experience!

I ordered it for takeaway tonight; it was the first time trying it. The salmon and tuna rolls had so little fish that it was impossible to taste it. Very disappointing.

Good food but since I don t eat fish or shellfish due to allergies and order chicken teriyaki with cucumber and avocado which the chef never had an issue making before has now become an issue with management and said they ll only take my order if they have time. My order came to $17 for two rolls. Not worth if they see customers paying good money as a burden and charge extra for cucumber.

Came to Sarnia and decided to try sushi here, bento box with tempura fries? bad, put at least some vegetable tempura instead. Sashimi was chef choice, well chef fake crab is just surimi (imitation). Salmon roll and tuna roll, we were not able to determine the difference in taste, were we giving two of the same roll? Service was good and place was clean and spacious.

Was told that this was the best Japanese restaurant in town by locals. Restaurant is very large and does have a few semi private rooms. Seaweed salad was good as was the garden salad that comes with the mains. They have a few creative rolls on menu ( including one that they light on fire at the table). Ok quality, sashimi was a bit dry.

Great atmosphere, delicious high quality Japanese food. Been going here for years and have never been disappointed. I strongly recommend the salad combo with marinated squid salad, baby octopus salad, and seaweed salad - my favourite item on the menu. Very reasonably priced.

Sushi is adequate quality. Probably the best place in sarnia - not that that says a lot. They say they close at a certain time but the kitchen closes half an hour earlier so always call in advance to check if they can take you. I ve entered twice and have been denied due to the restaurant closing within 45 minutes. To me that sounds like a bad way to run a business. I really hope another sushi restaurant opens up in sarnia with better hours and customer service. This place is only busy due to having a monopoly.

I dont know if this place has gone down hill or my expectations were too high. Everybody had told me how wonderful the sushi was there and the food and everything. And when I finally went there for the first time but honestly the food was pretty subpar as far as Japanese Cuisine goes. Sushi rice was overcooked and quite Bland udon noodles were gummy and the chicken was extremely tough and chewy. Disappointed to say the least

Based on the spicy tuna roll. Not sure what kind of tuna they are using but it tastes terrible. Worst spicy tuna roll ive had ever. Vegetable tempura was ok at best and the dynamite roll was average. Wouldnt recommend this place..

Delicious. It was our first time going- usually go to Hana for ACE. You dine a la carte but the quality is much better and portions are good! Thoroughly impressed! Definitely recommend.

This place has really good fresh sushi, probably the best in Sarnia. It can be a bit pricey but I guess thats what you pay for good sushi. They need stronger wasabi because theirs is way too weak.

This was first time for sushi in Sarnia as I only tried Vancouver but this place was so good and staff was very friendly. So try this place as I throughly enjoyed it.

I had a Bento lunch. It was fresh, fast, fairly priced, and SO good!! Really satisfying too! This place is clean, super friendly, comfortable, and even has semi private dining rooms (walled in booths, like a Japanese/Canadian fusion of style). Lots of selection on the menu, fair prices, and lots of vegetarian choices! It isnt all you can eat, but if everyone in your party paid around $20 and shared their order, you could have a feast that would beat any similarly priced buffet in quality, and leave you with a full belly too. I highly recommend, and plan to return! ----------- UPDATE: went there for dinner last night. It was pretty busy but we still got a private booth and service wasnt overly slow. Food was fresh and tasty, and well presented. Prices seem very reasonable to me, especially if you get a meal or a pick 2 or 3 special, or a boat. My only complaint is that it was a bit chilly for me. With the high ceilings Im sure its tough to heat. Just bring a sweater. :) Still a 5 star review!
