We dined in had fish and chips and beef nachos. The fries were cold and I found a hair in them. The fish batter was soggy. The nachos were supposed too be layered and they werent just on top. We found it very loud. We wouldnt be going back.

Fantastic service that truly went above and beyond! Tonight, we ordered takeout from Bad Dog in Sarnia. When unpacking our order, we noticed that the kids burger was missing. Just as I was about to call, I realized I had already missed two calls from Bad Dog. I called back, and they apologized for the oversight and promised to deliver the burger as soon as possible. Within 10-15 minutes, the burger (and an extra treat) was at our door. Mistakes happen, especially on a busy Saturday night, and I m always understanding when businesses make an effort to correct them. Thank you, Bad Dog, for being proactive and for going the extra mile! Kid-friendliness: Affordable kid meals with generous portions.

We were treated with lots of TLC in Sarina, Canada, at Bad Dog by Helena our waitress. In my 72 years, I ve never met such a kind, thoughtful waitress. What waitress do you know who brings you Tums, checks on you in the bathroom, boxes up your food and sends you off with an anniversary treat To boot . She was heaven sent for sure.

Always a lovely place to have a bite to eat. Staff is always awesome. The later the night gets it usually gets pretty busy, they do have reservations available so give them a jingle to save your seats! Parking: The parking is street parking. Recommend getting there a bit early to scope out a parking spot. Knowing parallel parking is a must if you want to be close. But they do have downtown parking lots that are paid during certain hours farther down on Christina street Wheelchair accessibility: Its all one floor so wheelchairs are good to get in and out, the only issue that if it gets busy, it gets a bit harder to get around tables and people. Any time Ive seen any wheel chair users, they are always pretty good about keeping them near the front with access to the bathrooms. I suggest calling ahead and reserving a table ahead of time so they can properly accommodate you and your party

Bad Dog is consistently average. Our group went to lunch today and had nothing but issues - none of us had ever sent so many items back to be replaced (flat Pepsi products, hair in the salad dressing, hot sides that arrived cold). Service staff were apathetic. The food and mixed drinks are mediocre, never anything to rave about and the prices are outrageous. All in all, this is a restaurant Ill be avoiding - there are plenty of other options in the area with better food, better service at comparable (or better) prices.

This place is like coming home to dinner. The food is fantastic and the staff go out of their way to ensure you have a positive experience. Both restaurants have great locations and views and there are ample tvs to watch your favourite sports. Great to see a local restaurant become such a success. The new menu is great. I had the new salmon and it was very good. It was a nice, big piece of meat and the salad was a fantastic. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere really raised my mood. I will definitely be coming again.

First time at Bad dogs in Sarnia and expected more. Considering the good reviews and how this place is always packed I thought it would be better than it was. We made reservations and when we showed up no one greeted us at the door for a good 5 minutes which isnt typical at any restaurant. The owner later came over and we told him we had reservations and the name it was under, he looked around the restaurant and we pointed out our seat that had our name on it and he said ok and we seated ourselves. He didnt walk us over with menus and tell us who our server would be like a hostess would do. When our server did come over she was great and gave us excellent service, wish I remembered her name to recommend her. The whole time we were at the restaurant though we just observed the owner running around in circles literally doing nothing. If I could recommend something to him it would be dont micro manage your staff, they know what they are doing. Also if your going to be greeting people and seating them when they come in focus only on that and help only when needed. The food is OK though. I had the perogies and they dont seem homemade thats for sure, the fried raviolis were delicious though but a little expensive for an app.

Stopped for food late afternoon on Jul 21 2024. Got menus and water and were left hanging. Others around us were seated and served, and a number of staff just appeared to be doing their own thing. We walked out 20+min later.

Bad Dog is a consistently good food good service local restaurant in downtown Sarnia. We enjoy the atmosphere, the food & as always good service. Nachos, drinks & wraps are what went for & they are served hot, generous portions, & in good time. Parking: Busy times downtown make it challenging to get close but usually can fine one not too far.

Great dinner and nice chats with some other travelers. Enjoyed the ciders and food options.

Stopped here for food after getting picked up and dropped off by an American friend for a weekend camping trip to Tobermory. The staff we perfectly gracious about my extra bags, the food was great both times and the proximity to the bus and the waterfront is awesome. Will definitely return here on the way to future adventures. Also, they do have gluten free options; the bun was good

perogies were soggy, burger and wings were dry. asked for wing sauce by a differnt server and got it 30 minutes later. our food seemed as if it sat under the heat lamp for 40 minutes. only got checked up by our server once and it took an hour to get the food and a half an hour to get the bull. do not recommend.

Went on a very busy night. This location is close to the theatre, so if you are going spontaneously you might want to check the show schedule. Else you can call for reservations. Food was good, a little delayed getting to us, but that was due to how busy it was. Service was good. We enjoyed our meal and the location. Will go back when we have more time to appreciate it.

My family used to come here quite often when in town. After a year now the service has gone down hill, and the food has lost its flavour. Sadly we will no longer be returning. My mother is vegetarian and was wanting something light, so she ordered mashed potatoes with mushrooms. The potatos came out dry with no seasoning or butter. The excuse from the waitress was as follows, People usually order it with gravy, so they cant tell. My father ordered the mushroom burger with fries, requesting it to be cooked medium. It came out dry as it was well-done and flavorless. The French fries were not crispy and came out undercooked.

Was in town for work and stopped in for lunch. Food was great and the server was so sweet and kind. If your looking for great food and great service this is your spot! Food : 4/5

Excellent in every way!

On a spur of the moment decision, we decided to take the kids out for dinner in sarnia. We had a few places in mind but ultimately decided to try Bad Dog. Its located right by the river so the views surrounding the restaurant were great. It was very busy but they were able to seat us outside the patio, it was a little cool but the staff was quick to turn on the outdoor heaters. Our server was amazing. She was very witty and great with the kids. She was also (what we assumed) training another server, but it never slowed her down. The food... outstanding! The kids shared the nachos which were full of toppings and served hot, my wife had one of the flatbreads, and I had the bruschetta burger and sweet potato fries. It was all very delicious. The patio was right on the sidewalk and Friday nights in sarnia are something to behold, but they had great music playing and never forgot about us out there, which we have had before at other places when it was cooler outside. Overall, get out and try this place and you will not regret it.

Burger was ok, so small compared to the huge bun it came with. Soggy fries. Shrimp and slaw good. The Mexican corn soup was definitely disappointing. They saw we did not eat it but did not ask why.

Service was great. Beer was too. Burger and fries were fresh and tasty, BUT I paid $3.49 extra for bacon and got a single piece, folded in half. Thats an opportunity for improvement.

First time there and will go back when in Sarina again. We had the Burger flatbread and the Burger and fries and Cookie skillet for dessert. Great tasting food and great service.

Quite possibly the best restaurant burgers in sarnia. French onion soup is also amazing. Staff is always incredible, giving the proper attention without being overbearing. I cannot wait for the nice weather for patio season.

This place was so good! We are visiting from Michigan and it was within walking distance to our hotel. The menu has so many good options it s hard to pick. The inside is a laid back vibe great for a date night or drinks with friends.

This is one of my favourite places to go out to eat! Such friendly, kind, and funny servers, the atmosphere is happy, light, and very enjoyable. The food is always made how you would like it. Perfect for any group of people! Absolutely fantastic here!

Unfortunately we werent able to get a table as we had a somewhat large group and it was a busy night, the staff was extremely helpful in helping us find another restaurant to go to. The atmosphere seemed very casual, relaxed and inviting. Im looking forward to coming here in the future.

The roast beast... possibly the best roast beef sandwich Ive ever had! Thank you Maddy, for providing my daughter and I such a great lunch experience in Sarnia! Great place. Made having a meal with a dog a pleasure. We sat on the patio, under a heater, my dog got a fresh bowl of water, a treat and a small plate for a little human food since we had not anticipated being in Sarnia for the evening. Amazing food, amazing service and wonderful local owners. A definite yes to visit and very reasonable as far as prices go. Always a positive experience here. Highly recommended. Couldnt have asked for a better dining experience, tonight. Everyone from Sarah, our server who was 5 star, to Ashley, the hostess and Kylie who made sure we were all topped up. Jason is such a great owner who does so much and goes above and beyond for this city. The hard work this team endures, shows by having a full restaurant and rightfully so.

I have only been in Sarnia a month but have brought people here three times now. Its very busy on the weekends so you might want to consider a reservation for dinner. Every meal me or my friends and family have had has been perfect! The mixed drinks are delicious too! You wont be disappointed.

I chose to have the special chicken caesar flat bread. It was okay and I had a canned either because they did not have any cider on tap. Pleasant experience, nice sitting outside.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere is very laid back with a summery feel to it. The only thing I could say wrong was the service wasnt perfect. Our waitress kept switching on us, which was confusing and I never knew who to ask for anything without feeling like I was bothering them. Other than that, it was a great evening with good food. Parking: Not many parking spots available, as there is limited street parking available or the option of parking a block away and walking.

I was served the driest boneless chicken wings yesterday. The breading was so hard that cut all mouth. I had to try to remove it. My side fries was over fried as well and dripping oil. My first beer came cold, second was warm. The place is beautiful tho, but it is not worth my money. This was the second time coming here, and now I am sure that this is a place to avoid. I do not recommend coming here.

Today we tried dining at the Sarnia location as someone who owns property downtown I try to support local businesses. Unable to do so as we were met with not even a hello, no wait staff, no menus, three servers walking around two on their phones, one ignoring customers. My toddler and I moved tables closer to the bar area in hopes they d give a glance but no such luck.

The food is great; featuring delicious vegetarian options for food so everyone can enjoy a meal. Good selection of alcoholic beverages, and non-alcoholic beverages as well. Food

I love this place. Great atmosphere, delicious burgers and nice cold beers. Service is OK. Weve been 4 times and 3/4 times the service was simply OK. We were promised a table after 30 minutes once and we waited an hour and still no table. Another time we waited for burgers for just under an hour. The management here makes up for any lack of service. They make sure you leave happy and come back. I wish there were a couple more vegan options. Definitely worth a visit if youre craving a burger or sports bar type food. 4/5 stars.

Stopped in on a buisness trip due based on reviews. We both had the beef dip which was mediocre at best.... almost like it came from a pavkage and was reheated. Food : 3/5

This is in a great location downtown, with friendly service and an excellent atmosphere - we were present for a superb live performance which partially accounted for this. It is too bad that the food and drink could not match these other elements. The drinks we ordered were average - lacking fresh ingredients (e.g. lemon/lime juice), or being made from premix - and the booze on offer was limited in quality and selection, with the bartenders being unfamiliar with the options when asked. While the food was certainly not bad, you would be capable of making it yourself at home to the same standard if not higher. Altogether, relative to the other options in the downtown area, this fell short for us -- though it could be a fine time out with friends provided there is live entertainment.

First Friday fun with friends!! Our server was very friendly and didnt make us feel rushed as we stuck around to listen to live music.

Tamia was friendly, with a sincere smile and good eye contact and amazed us as she took our orders without taking notes, and food came to the table with no errors. Tamia checked on us with appropriate frequency. The quality and presentation of the food could not have been better. My friend was visiting me from BC and I am glad the experience at Bad Dog was so positive. We were all surprised to learn that Tamia was much less seasoned a server than we had suspected; she did such a good job. Please put this letter on both Tamia s and the chef s employee files. I m sure we ll be returning soon.

We went there for lunch on a weekday.. Food was good, a tad greasy. Service was OK but not off the roof. Atmosphere was good but music was so loud that the waiting staff could barely hear us.

The menu had so many great options so we will have to return to try the other choices. I had the Southwest Salad with taco beef and it was absolutely amazing! They were very generous with the beef and the whole salad was super tasty! Delicious. The service was top notch and so pleasant. We want to return again just because the service was so good and the food was delicious and generous portions. Will be back on our next visit to Sarnia.

I. had the taco chicken salad and my wife had the chicken tocos the quality of the food was very good and the portions were American size as for the service it was fast and courteous I would definitely go back to the Bad dog next time I visit Sarnia

Recently ordered for pickup, and part of my order got left behind. Called and was told to come pick up fresh order. Waited some time, but the wait was worth it! Salad was fresh and delicious, chicken was perfectly cooked, and they sent me home with a complimentary dessert! (Cake and ice cream!)

Many food options with something for everyone. Attentive servers. Kitchen timing was off which resulted in my bowl cooling off - still really tasty. Very much a sports bar atmosphere, and a bit loud. Still enjoyed ourselves and would go back.

An awesome place for a special dinner with a relaxed atmosphere. The gigantic growler drinks were a big hit and packed with flavor. The skillet cookie is delicious and worth the wait!
