Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill in Sarnia

I was at Chucks on Dec 21 Saturday, I suppose to pick up Skip order # 66567-8796 on 11:25 . Waited over half and hour nobody even was there to ask order number nobody responded well.

Cucks is usually our go to. Had no problem with my meal but my girlfriend s meal is a whole different story. She ordered a burger and asked for it to be well done as we have had a problem with it coming out still pink the last time we were there. Her burger came out pink again so the waitress took it back took another 15 mins for her food to come this time it tasted like burnt plastic. And to also add her drink was empty the waitress walked past multiple times and never asked if she wanted a refill. Definitely will not be Coming back.

It s a shame such a nice building is occupied by Chuck s. Could have had a good restaurant in that spot. This place is sticky and it feels like the staff just go through the motions. Worst of all, the food is subpar, and they add some ridiculous tax to your bill for some unknown reason.

I recently came here with friends, it was a busy Friday night and we had to wait a little for our table. Once we were seated, the service was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, we got our drinks pretty quickly but had to wait for our food a little longer. Given the fact that it was a busy night, I think its reasonable to expect some delays. I would still recommend this place for a bite to eat. Parking: If you are unable to find parking right in the restaurants parking lot, there is a big Canadian tire in the back where you can park as well.

Sizzler was half an order, now going to Wendys. Three burgers were completely burnt, so much that a 10 year old refused to eat it. Will never be back to this one and we love Chucks.

Best food and people. I have been eaten ribs from province to province. For many. Years one Of my favorite foods. My experience. They served me the best rack of ribs I have ever had in My entire life. No joke and my wife had a nice chicken sandwich. We enjoyed it very much If youre passing through trust me , this is the place you want to check out. Our waitress emilia Was super friendly, Respectful and cater to everything we need it. All around this is a great restaurant With great food and great people. My wife and I are from new brunswick, Again best rack of ribs I have ever had . Thanks ill definitely be back .

Food was good and on par with other locations. Staff was friendly. Location was untidy lots of empty tables that hadnt been cleared. No steak bites available at 11pm. Food : 4/5

Chucks has always been good until this time. My wife s pop came out warm it was so warm by the time it got to our table the ice had melted. We got the garlic bread with cheese which came out quickly but was stone cold in the center. The waitress never asked us how our meal was or if we wanted refills of our drinks and honestly felt like we were an inconvenience to her being there tonight. Definitely will be a while before we go back

Our server Sabrina was very attentive. She greeted us as soon as we sat at the table. The food was excellent and the prices were good. I definitely recommend having dinner here, ask for Sabrina!

Worst service ever, I have visited Chucks before but never had this kinda experience before, which I had today. The lady who was serving was very disrespectful, and obnoxious. She kept insulting us, when we tried to ask about the menu and the specialty she kept ignoring and speaking rudely to us. She was the bar manager. She needs to be humbled. And i hope not to see her the next time I visit.

Party of 4, seated at our table with menus. We were able to decide what we wanted to eat and drink, went to the bathroom, came back and waited another 5 minutes. Several servers had walked by and we never got acknowledged . A table sat after us had their drinks and were placing their food order and we still hadnt spoken to a single person aside from the hostess who sat us down. We left and likely will never return.

Worst food in all of chucks. They messed up our food 3 times. Waited there for an hour then decided to just leave after the 3rd time. Wouldn t recommend at all. Left hungry and there is no place to even get anything else. Guess time to go to McDonald down the street!

Let me start with the only good thing, our server was cute and helpful. The food that came out of that kitchen was gross. The menus have never been wiped down either. Gunk all over the salt and pepper shakers. Steak did seem like decent quality, but asked for medium and came out rare so couldnt enjoy it The corn on the cob was cold canned corn in a tiny bowl and I couldnt even substitute my fries for salad. So stale old fries it was. Terrible

I went there for lunch with my mom today and I got a beer the beer was great but my chucks burger was horrible. I got my burger everything was right as I asked for no onion on my burger as I was cutting my burger in half it was raw and I sent it back to the waiter they were very nice about this made me a new one I told her no onions like two times! I get my second burger out and there s big onions on it and I told the girl I asked for no onion she goes oh sorry and says can I take it off my burger as this was a big onion I said no can you just make me another one. The girl brings me out another burger with no pickles on it the girl gave me pickles on the side which was nice fixed her mistake as I was eating my burger it was burnt like grilled to the point I couldn t eat it and I didn t want to send it back for the forth time. When my mom and I got the bill my burger was on there when she should ve took it off my bill but didn t make a big deal about it overall had a horrible experience and every time I go there with my mom hers is always raw or burnt completely! Would never recommend and I m never eating there again!!!!!

Ordered Buffalo chicken fingers and poutine. Fingers were olain and the poutine was 4 bites Also ordered a drink but didn t get that either. I have ate at locations around Toronto, it was great. Sarnia definitely did not live up to standards.

I used to come to chucks a lot but tonight my meal was so bad I didnt even finish it. I got the steak with lobster fries and corn and the corn had a weird after taste, just pretty much absolutely terrible..along with my steak. It tasted just simply dirty, kinda like a dirty grill. The lobster tasted like it hasnt been cleaned or something, again just a really bad after taste. Im not sure what happened here but Im fairly disappointed I wasted my money.

I think the 3 percent honest to goodness tax is a scam. The food quality was poor. If youre going to charge people with this tax you must have better food quality.

Sad when you don t get offered a menu and the drinks are warm. Great company, mediocre service. Last time I was in and offered a menu the burger was burnt to a crisp and the bacon could be used as a chisel. Do better.

Great steak, but a little pricy for small steaks

My steak was way over-cooked. Thats not a problem. Mistakes happen. The waitress took it back to bring me a new one. The problem was when the Manager immediately brought the over-cooked steak back to the table. He took out his flashlight from his phone and proceeded to lecture the whole table. Apparently we dont know what medium rare is supposed to look like and I was wrong for not accepting what was very obviously a well done steak. That was way out of line. They made a mistake. Apologize, fix the problem and move on. Dont lecture the customers and try to blame them. They did replace the steak but it was with a fatty, poor quality one that they probably kept in the back of the freezer for any customer who complained. No one from our party will ever go back. Why would we go there again when there are so many other restaurants with much more competent Management?

The restaurant was dead and it still took 10 minutes just to be seated. Server showed up after waiting 15 minutes just to order without introducing themselves or anything. The etiquette is just disappointing and the quality of experience is bottom of the barrel.

Had a burger and fries and the wife had flatbread. All really good. No complaints. Service was slow and not very many people in the restaurant

So unsatified with customers service. My friend has id in his phone plus he showed his live college id logged into his phone prooving the same id. But Amelia being so rude and taking everything personaly did not serve untill he got his physical id. She did not even let us talk to her manager being scared what we are going to report. So unsatisfying customer service!! Finally my friend has to drive 30kms back to get his passport from home.

Hey, so I went to CHUCKS (Sarnia) again recently, and it was a total bummer. This waitress named Amelia was super rude and messed up our order. We ordered fries and nachos, but she only brought nachos. When we asked about the fries, she didnt even apologize! She just snapped at us and said we didnt order them. Seriously? It was like, What the heck, Amelia? Ive never had bad service there before, and it was all because of her. But hey, at least the restaurant itself is still cool, and the other staff are nice.

The service and food was great and very fast service

Can sit and visit over meal and after without any rush to leave. Staff very friendly. Dietary restrictions: Cant eat/drink milk products. Staff happily arranges substitute for milk, I.e. lactose free Wheelchair accessibility: Close and usually empty for parking.

NO GUINNESS. We came for Guinness and were sadly told they no longer serve and then the other stout available also not available very sad day. Good food good service

We love the food, service ,prices + patio. Everyone there seems to be having a great time lots of laughter is common. Our Family + friends who visit can hardly wait to go back again!! The strawberry arugula pecan salad is a fav as well as the steak + chuckburger.

Real good food

Chuck s is a great place to sit and watch sports, drinking bear and eating excellent foods. Prices are extremely low compared to the food quality. Beer is around 4 CAD and service is fast. The ceiling is high, so it is relaxing. I recommend everyone to try. You will not regret.

We were seated at a dirty table, it wasn t filthy, but I just noticed that the table was gritty with crumbs and salt, and also the plates, knives and forks weren t placed, which was when I realized it was a dirty table. We waited to order drinks. I had to get up and ask for extra pickles, and we ordered water with our drinks and it never came. The food was ok, no complaints. Just the service was kind of scattered, not available. I expect more when I go out and spend $100. Parking: No problems Kid-friendliness: Very friendly Wheelchair accessibility: I didn t see any problems.

Food was terrible, ordered chicken and rib combo, zero meat on thee ribs, and got 4 chicken wings, which were suppose to be Cajun but were naked. Fries were ice cold, no exaggeration, server did bring more out for us. But food was terrible, both quantity and quality.

Our server rolled her eyes when she realized my friend had not given her a tip. I am pretty sure in Ontario we all work on minimum wage, tips are a bonus not an entitlement. Tip was not given because service was poor. Hardly any effort was made to be nice other than the regular questions. We visit this place often. Sad to see this happen. Even the food has lost it mark. Our loaded Nachos were not loaded at all. I understand produce is expensive these days but quantity of Spring onions, fresh tomatoes etc on the Nachos was very less. I wish I had clicked photos.

Just had a great week in Florida. Came thru Detroit to sarnia and ordered dinner. All meals came. Wrong chicken burger for one of us. We were eating. Someone brought fries out, no burger. It never came. We got no apology. Cancelled his order. One of our group noticed her glass was glassed all the way around. No apology on that either. Very disappointing. I really enjoyed my night at Chuck s here in Sarnia I had the best service and food was phenomenal! Looking forward to my next visit!

Service was not good. I was shown where to sit, but i had to call a waiter myself to remind him that i was there. FOOD - I ordered a porterhouse, i wanted it medium, but it came blue and very cold inside. As i was hungry and in a hurry, i had no choice but to eat the outter parts of my steak and go. Atmosphere is good, place is clean and bathrooms are fairly clean.

Eager staff, haha! One sat us, took our beverage order, two other staff then came to also take our beverage orders. Our main waitress looked like they hated life, but then again there was an entire kids hockey team there. My husband and son had the same meal, chicken Parm. My husbands dish came out to him swimming in sauce and my sons dish barely had any. The sauce was so runny and bland. The temp of the sauce... literally tasted like it was just poured over the pasta from the can. Unfortunately they were only tipped 12%. We subtracted their extra charge they add to the bill and based the rest on mediocre food we were served. Not a restaurant we plan to return to.

Even though it was incredibly busy tonight (Valentine s Day) , the food was hot, tasted great, and was served quickly. It s not a fancy place, but it s affordable and everyone had a good time.

Went last night (Feb 19) for some appetizers with a friend. 3 out of the 4 dishes we ordered came out cold. One being the steak bites, we were hungry and ate and only mentioned the steak bites being cold, waiter said ok, took them and came back with them a few moments later saying theyre just deep fried so I just put them back in for you. Since they had been re-fried they were now hot but very chewy and we didnt end up eating them. Disappointed with the experience.

Surf and turf. Lobster had burnt marks on top from the broil. And cold. Dipping butter in a 2 oz stainless container. When added butter, didnt melt . ordered tenderloin med rare. Received rare, cold. My spouse, my brother and I came to Chucks on December 30 for half prices appetizers and drinks for our first time at Chucks Sarnia. The location is great, and the inside is big and spacious. We were seated promptly, and had Julie as our server for the evening. She started out being pleasant and friendly, but as the night went on, provided horrendous service, became very unfriendly, and dictated what we could or could not drink. This was very unprofessional and quite appalling being first time customers, and having a DD in place for when the night was over. Management needs to sit down with Julie, and educate her on good customer service. All 3 of us did not have a good experience with her. I have been to and reviewed alot of restaurants, and this Chucks currently sits in the bottom of my restaurant list. Besides that unpleasant experience, the food was actually good, and we had enjoyed it. Loaded fries (needed more toppings and was a tad dried out), steak bites, chicken quesadilla, and the spinach/cheese dip, that lacked quality. Food and beer both were great prices. Overall, our server made our 1st experience very unpleasant, and like I said, management needs to educate her on good customer service. Cant say whether or not Id come back to this establishment again.

Steak was ordered medium and it came in raw. I mean blue raw ordered head to pick it up at 4:20. Did not get out of there until 445 staff all they did was talk in corners giggle and laugh and did not pay attention to any customers. Sad Restaurants that charge this kind of money for a meal get away with us

Second visit with the same waitress where she s taken a significant of time (over a half hour) to bring us our bill. The restaurant wasn t busy either times. Disappointing as this location use to have excellent service.

The service was phenomenal. Best Ive had in years. Smiling and very attentive. Seems great hospitality is a rare find these days. You can tell a seasoned waitress just by how they carry themselves during busy times. Next time I come Ill be sitting in her section. I made sure to ask her name as she had us in giggles and the service was top notch. Cindy, the blonde cute thing will be the only one serving us from now on. We come in weekly so hopefully shes there when we come! Thanks for a great experience at Chucks!

My girlfriend and I go for dinner but honestly the only good thing about the restaurant was the server named Cindy, she was the really the only server Ive had there that cares about if you get what you order and that it is cooked right. Checks on your table to see if you need anything and is very polite. Bathrooms were not very clean and food is average but service was good. Thanks Cindy.

I came in on Tues Aug 29th for dinner my sever Cindy went above and beyond for my table drink always full kind and very professional , it was very loud and only looked like her and one other person working. My food was ok but my server will the reason that I would come back

My girlfriend and I both had the steak and lobster, the steak wasn t seasoned as it normally is, and tasted like it was cooked with liver. The lobster was over cooked on one side, and the butter seemed water down. Everything was edible, but definitely didn t enjoy our experience this time. Our service, from Cindy, was delightful though.

Food is hit and miss but the so called honest to goodness fee is just a hidden charge and should not be allowed. Ive had decent food on one of the visits here but the other times left a lot to be desired. If it wasnt for the fee it might be a bit easier to swallow the inconsistency but with the extra tax (that also has tax on it) I will be looking elsewhere in the future.

Great food and Service.

Went to this Chucks last night for dinner. It s was around 5:30-6 and the restaurant was about a quarter full. The seating area is pretty big. I had the 7oz sirloin steak with a Caesar salad. For desert we had the carrot cake. Service was very fast and the server was a pleasure to daal with. Definitely would return to this location. Parking is not an issue as there is a massive parking lot adjacent to Chucks.

We come here often. The food is always great. Prices are reasonable. Staff is always friendly.

Our waitress was fantastic. She engaged in conversation with our entire table. She made our dining experience a 10/10!

My Grandmother and I went in for dinner on Monday October 16th. We were seated promptly and Cindy was our server. She immediately came and got our drink order and was so pleasant!!! We got our drinks and we both ordered the half rib meal. The meal was amazing and Cindy checked on us often. We had a few laughs and chats with her as well, the service was honestly the best we could have asked for! It made the whole experience so amazing and top notch. 5 stars on the food and if I could give 10 for the service I would!

Worst experience I ve ever had at a chucks. Waited an hour for our main meals and 2 never showed up. After asking 3 times they finally showed up, not in to go containers like we asked. Manager did absolutely nothing to fix the issue besides being us a bag. Server then apologized and asked us if we knew anyone who needed a job because if it was up to her she would fire everyone. DO BETTER.

Had a waitress named molly, very rude to us, just sat down and was already asking for food and was mad when we didn t know yet, messed up orders and drinks multiple times, didn t ask how food was or ask for drink refills, anytime we asked for anything from her she rolled her eyes and walked away. When it came to bills we didn t tip because it wasn t a tip worthy experience and she told us we need to tip her at least 5% and it s so rude not to. Horrible customer service the worse I ve seen. Tips are NOT mandatory. Will not be coming back.

They were nice just a lot of the members working looked at me like I did somthing bad to them or somthing and I had the tone steak 25 dollers I asked for medium rare it came burnt and not much like Frys not worth 25 bucks plus tax I raid it a 1 cuz the price and I love steak but hate it burned I had a couple bites brought it home and gave it to my dog I was not happy

Used to be Great food and service as I gave it 5 stars two years ago. Service is now lacking as it is 2 stars at best. Ordered and paid for items that never came. Server barely visited our group of 8, so re-fills were none existent. Steak was decent as was fries. Corn was horrible. Really did not enjoy the service.

I was served by the owner , an older East Indian woman . Weird to get served by the owner , and the service was horrible , we waiting long periods of time as she was more interested to serve the large group of people that came in rather than let her servers take care of it. We never got asked how the meal was (fries were cold and not enough plum sauce for one of the meals ) and I had to track her down for refills on drinks , and I had to finally ask another server to let me pay so we could leave after a long period of waiting

Solid. Price is unreasonable

It took over an hour to get our burgers and fries.. and then my sweet potato fries were lukewarm and soggy

It feels a bit cold in there as far as a welcoming environment. The drink prices are reasonable which I appreciate. It s almost as if the staff give off the impression they don t even want to be there. Good place to catch up on sports highlights mid day.

Very bad customer service

We had lunch with our kids hockey team. I had a burger, cooked to perfection, juicy and tasty. I was impressed with the customer service and their ability to keep all orders straight and coordinate adults meals with each of their kids. It took a while to bring all the food but that s understandable considering we were about 50 of us. I definitely recommend this restaurant, thank you!

Julie is awesome

Came to chucks for a quick drink and bite to eat. Coming after 9 provided an awesome deal with a great selection of 1/2 price appetizers. Our waitress Julie was amazing to us and extremely kind and providing. Julie was fun and provided a great atmosphere. All around good time.

Service was excellent food was pretty good. And the setup was at par with rest of Chucks.
