Great beer, great vibes!

New menu! I can t say enough, it was so good. Our table had Empanadas, tacos, smash burger, cottage pie, and gumbo. It was great made from scratch pub grub that this establishment needed, only complaints, no bread to sop up the end of the gumbo, and it being a little too dark (I grabbed my phone to light up my menu)

Davis is a breath of fresh air to Sarnia! Amazing food, amazing cocktails and fabulous service! Cat and Joel are the BEST! The atmosphere is chill and music is always on point! They bring a unique flavour to their cuisine and we love being able to grab oysters on the weekends! Also for my GF friends out there they have a lot of options on the menu so you won t be stuck just eating a salad! Highly recommend the ribs!! Can t wait to come back again and again! ~ chantelle

This place has great food & aside from the craft beer the cocktails are top tier as well. Cool atmosphere and could easily suit a range of different tastes. However I m a little disappointed in the way I was treated the last time I was dining there. I had asked for an espresso martini and the waitress didn t even stop walking to take my order she heard me say espresso martini and replies (as she is continuing to walk by the table) we don t have espresso . Which is fine but I figured as normally they do the server would have stopped at the table as I m ordering and either been able to suggest an alternative drink or at the very least ask me if she could bring me something else. Instead she walks straight over to the bartender and starts whispering and laughing. I can only assume by the series of events that she was gossiping about me. The situation was rude and didn t make me feel great as a paying customer. Very odd in a restaurant setting for an adult to treat another adult that way! Every interaction before that was fine until we asked for the espresso martini!! We all have bad days I guess.

Food and drinks were delicious, was surprised that one drink and a salad with tofu was almost $50. Servers were great! Nice patio, relaxed atmosphere, glad we made a reservation for an outdoor table

We got take-out so I have no comment on service or atmosphere, but the food was atrocious. I don t usually waste my time complaining about poor restaurants as there are so many, however this was bad. The fried chicken sandwich is as bad as it could be. For $22 you get a chicken thigh not a breast, or even a leg just a thigh. Mine had a nice big chunk of gristle in it and lots of fat. The thigh was coated in enough batter to fill the bun and instead of the lettuce as stated, it had cabbage on it. This is nothing short of a scam. Inedible. Very disappointing.

Wait staff is aweful. the upgrade to the atmosphere is amazing , very cool & the food is good, if the wait staff would acknowledge you when you are standing there waiting would be great! what the heck happened to the 30-45second rule of acknowledging the customer? , & you re dodging people coming back from using the bathrooms standing there waiting Maybe they need someone there like a host at Red Lobster? This waiting is not once, twice but three times in different situations, but this is the last time, we went someplace else for our after dinner drinks (Lola s)

Beer and food were both exceptional

The food was not great. There was hardly any dressing in my salad. And when I asked for extra dressing it took 15 minutes to get it. So I told her that I will take the remaining home. It was expensive and the food was awful

The food is really good but the service was not what I was expecting. We felt like a burden to the staff, it took forever to get drinks and food, and compared to the way I saw the servers treating other tables it felt like we were forgotten about. We were hidden at a back table near the kitchen and it was a Friday night so Im trying to be understanding but for the price of food and drinks, youd think theyd treat everyone equally. Would recommend getting a reservation if you plan on going during the weekend or going on a weekday when it isnt as busy.

I went to Davis for lunch with a friend! The experience was really good!! The food was tasty, cooked well and looked beautiful. I loved the fresh ingredients and bright colours!

Wonderful surprise in the food! Creative. Fresh. Very inventive. Probably fun when its full. On a snowy dreary winter afternoon there were still a few customers. We need to return when it rocks!

A few of us ordered various items off of their new menu and ALL the food was incredible. Ill be back for that delicious chicken burger paired with yet another excellent IPA.

Dandy Pints

While Davis has always been a great place for a pint/mug, since the relaunch its been hospitality plus. The soul of it enhanced by great humans who love you. Oysters are great. Cushions are elegant. Little hooks under bar hold your stuff. Treat them swell.

The new Davis, well, its a much different vibe than it was back when it was more of a rough around the edges brewery, that you could kick back, and play a board game, or enjoy a night of bingo. Its now more restaurant than brewery, and kicking back might be a bit tough with the high tables and chairs, and the darkness of the interior. With the refinement it also left the place with no live events on the calendar, leaving that to the Refined Fool location out on London Road. It seems a little backwards as people now have to drive out to see live stuff since the London Road location is not near residential areas really, and people now have to drive back home after drinking(which in reality will be the case instead of taking transit), instead of the downtown location, near residential locations where people can mostly walk...but maybe I am missing something...Im not a business expert. As well, with the refinement at Davis, whole new offerings including the food menu and cocktails have arrived, and you will not be disappointed. The food is pretty epic with dishes like goreng, and oyster poboys. I have to say, WOW, our meals here were spectacular, and the cocktails were very well done. The outside patio is really nice now, and dogs are still welcome, so I can say that I will be coming back regularly during the warmer months. Vegetarian options: Goreng.

Really enjoyed the Ruben sandwich our server Travis was great. Fast and efficient. The menu is definitely not your standard pub food and the ambience and decor are really classy. My first time coming here but likely won t be my last.

Food was amazing. It was our first visit since the remodeling. Looks great inside and out. I got the Korean Beef tacos which were amazing. The toasted tortilla was perfection. My partner got the chicken sandwich and that was equally amazing. I had high hopes for it because we had loved March Hares chicken sandy and were sad to see it go. It was even better than I had hoped. Will for sure be coming back for eats.

Not worth it. Owners girlfriend gets extra large glass of wine for free while we pay through the nose for ours. Blondy I m lookin at you.

Great atmosphere and aesthetically pleasing place. Food was mediocre and bit overpriced for the quality. Service was slow but to be fair it was a busy evening and we didn t mind it as the atmosphere makes up for it. Great place to go for a drink and a small bite to eat!

We had Leah wait on us and she was the best bartender and person we have had the pleasure of meeting. She engaged with us all night and went above and beyond for us. I wish every place had a Leah!! I hope you appreciate the amazing staff you have!

This is our preferred refined fool location for an after work beer and snack. The food has always been on point, and the beers are expectedly excellent. A fantastic atmosphere/patio in the summer and a highly recommended spot for anyone wandering around downtown area looking for a quick drink and a bite.

Disappointing (take out) food portions I like the atmosphere of this place and I like the people here, but the Chicken Mee Goreng I ordered tonight was disappointing. While eating l had expected to find a good amount of chicken in my noodles but after thoroughly digging through my food, I only found about 3 or 4 pieces of pea sized chicken. The total for the meal was $22! There were very few veggies, too many noodles udon noodles are very cheap. While the food tasted okay, it was a disappointing meal overall. Edit* I forgot to post yesterday- but the Korean Tacos for takeout- those actually were very good! It s unfortunate that the noodles fell short of that expectation.

Service was great. The new outdoor space is fantastic. Most of all though, the food was amazing - possibly the best Reuben Ive had in my life even though its not traditional and the fries were perfect.

Refind fool is behind my house so I hear the music often so Ive been there a couple times with my neighbour. Friday night I decided to take my new neighbours who are students from India and the place was very lively compared to normal, they had a DJ! It was absolutely great and if that DJ continues there then that will be our new place to go on a Friday night!

This is a great place in the heart of downtown Sarnia. Great service and creative food/cocktails. Servers are happy to recommend food and beer combos that go well together and are generally on point. Try the sweet potato appetizer and tacos. Unique and tasty! Will be back..

When on the lookout for great food and spectacular beer pop into this spot. The staff is great and on point. Make sure to get oysters when you can. The IPA s hit the spot if that s what tickles your fancy. Don t hesitate to check your palette by tasting a few.

Had a great experience here, The food was delicious and the portions were the perfect size to make you feel satisfied but not overwhelmed. They have sample sizes of their craft beers so you don t have to commit to trying a whole one, which is great for someone like me who is quite picky with crafts. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is very nice inside and out.

Yesterday my husband and I took a trip from Waterloo, ON to do some over the border shopping (total fail in Port Huron) but our main goal was to visit Refined Fool Brewing. We ve been fans of their beers for a few years (annd love their inventive beer names) and we re happy to have finally make it there. We are dark beer lovers and were thrilled to see they had several dark beer options. We were given a sample of their chocolate mint beer (delish and dark!) and my husband had a glass of A Can Full of Weirdos Juicy IPA. I had a flight (Ripsnorter Vanilla Bourbon Porter, Joe Sent Me Milk Stout, Brouhaha Nut Brown and the lighter Help Yourself To My Parents Wardrobe Raspberry & Vanilla Smoothie IPA. All were really good but my favourites surprised me - the smoothie IPA and the amazing vanilla bourbon porter (the bourbon isn t overpowering but adds a delicious darker layer). My only wee issue was the yellow tinted overhead lighting. It was a dreary, rainy day but I found it a bit too dark inside even with the lights on. Thanks to the female bartender for the great service and showing us the cans so we could bring some home. We will definitely make the trip back to Sarnia for their beer and to try their food.

The beer is great and if I could review just on that I d give a 5. The meal was a real disappointment though. I ordered a beef brisket sandwich that was supposed to be slow roasted on a brioche bun with lettuce and tomato and ailoi. I got a dry pastrami on a small rye toast with yellow mustard and if that wasn t a disappointment in itself, but it was $20 with fries. You know that feeling, like you ve been I ll be back for beer but not the food.

Refined Fool has great beer and the restaurant in there has great food! Youll spend a pinch more here than you would at a regular bar/grill, but its worth it. Also, I recommend Davis sooo far above London because of the food they serve (but that doesnt mean burger rebellion isnt awesome too)

Just a wonderful place to stop into. Staff was super friendly, atmosphere was great and there was a great selection of beers to try (and I did). The food from The Hare was outstanding (I had the smash burger). Would definitely stop in again and maybe try the rest of the beers I didnt get a chance to this time.

An ever-expanding assortment of delightful beers to try. The downtown location is smaller but has a lot of heart. A great place for a quick pint.

Was supposed to deliver a beer order plus merch for an isolation birthday between 4 and 8. Was sent an email saying they tried to deliver when they did not bc I was waiting at my front window for 2 hours. including the time they said they attempted to deliver. I am livid and disappointed. Husbands birthday is ruined bc there was a zoom surprise party for him sn now he has no drinks to enjoy w.his buddies. Super bummed for this lack of communication and dishonesty. Will not be supporting again. sucks.

The modern time OG brewery of Sarnia.. Hey have a beer for every taste. Whether you like a light crisp pilsner, a hazy IPA or a heavy imperial stout. Their rotating special batches are always fun to try.

The beer is on point. Fantastic selection that should make any level of beer drinker happy. Unfortunately, their customer service is lacking. I had an online order that was missing 2 beers (not a big deal). I emailed twice to let them know and never heard back. Only $10, but more the principal of the matter. To bad, no more online orders from me, or my friends. Or my friends, friends.

Stopped in for an ice cold pint, and lunch from the March Hare. Beer was great, but the food was top notch. Moe our chef, even brought the food right to the table. Great personality, amazing cook and hands down the best food weve had in a long time. Fresh cut fries & burger as well as the fried chicken sandwich with onion rings. Amazing! A must stop for sure!

Fantastic place chef was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the food recommended most of what we ordered and was not let down by any of it. Work out of town for a living and hope i get to come back to try more of their fabulous creations.

First time , Great time. Efficient and friendly service . Perfect social distancing lots of room lots of sanitizer. Beer was cold and predictably delicious. Fried chicken sandwich basically sells itself looking soo big and crispy on every ones plate. Tastes better than it looks #marchhare. ALMOST too much food, so the perfect amount lol. AAND it was music trivia !! We didnt win but it was great fun. May have to become a regular.

BEST PLACE IN DOWNTOWN SARNIA! Prefer this location rather than London Road! Fun place to go to with friends! Lots of board games available as well before Covid. Amazing selection of beers all in house brewed. ONTARIO LAGER is my favourite. Don t leave without buying some merch! 10/10 will always return.

Arrived and sat down confusedly as there are no actual servers or front of house and no indication on what to do for food. After figuring out that I have to order like Im in a Wendys I walk over and order the fried chicken sandwich, walked over to the bar after that ask for a stout, no stout, bartender recommends some kind of dark English beer and I almost blindly dont object (Im not a light beer guy really) and proceeds to do a pour with no head, remember I asked for a stout, so no head to help with the mouth feel left me a little disappointed, I almost finished one beer total. The chicken sandwich had a delicate breading which would have been quite nice if it werent for an untoasted raw bun and the slaw, the slaw was amazing but not the right topping for this sandwich, it soaked the breading of the chicken taking any crunch away and sliding off the meat in a wet soggy mess, the fries were phenomenal in flavor but could have been twice fried for better crispiness. All in all I probably would try this place again but since Im new to the area, Ill probably try the other pubs first.

Wonderful experience. Great selection of craft beer friendly service and a big shelf of games to play if the heart desires. But the the hidden gem is the peasant cuisine offered by the March Hare. On the day my partner and I dined , the Tall Ships weekend, we had what I will call the brisket platter as I dont recall the proper nomenclature. This was a special so wasnt a daily offering. For $28 can we had more than enough for two normal appetites. Baked beans of an authentic nature Ive only rarely tasted. A sampling of delicious roast chicken, collered greens, Cole slaw and Mac n Cheese. But the brisket and accompanying gravy were simply melt in the mouth heaven. Well done ! In conversation with Iain , chef and head bottle washer, we got a sense of the passion that has gone into this kitchen. We live in London but will be going back to Sarnia on day trips just as an excuse to eat here again. Its not fine dining , its better than that. Its a good feeling and a full stomach.

Great atmosphere, food, drinks and service! You feel like youre welcomed home even if its your first time and both the beer and food are divine.

The atmosphere is incredible from the friendly, quirky and knowledgeable staff, to the option to play board games at your table. You interact with the kitchen staff in their open concept layout and dont have the pressure of ordering because its self-initiated. My boyfriend and I have loved it everytime weve been there. The food is amazing and high quality and the beer is expertly crafted. There is something for everyone!
