Another astonishing Sarnia gem hiding behind a narrow storefront entrance, the Midtown Tap & Grill offers great service, excellent meals, and a very comfortable dining experience. The variety of dinner appetizers and meals is hard to choose from. Look forward to our group enjoying the offerings here again soon.

We had takeout last night. I ve never been but realized it was a bar when I walked in. I find stuff like burgers, fries, poutines or quick apps and meals are the best when ordering from bars. I made the mistake of ordering pasta and it was very lackluster. The chicken was cut into strips on top of the pasta and it was beyond overcooked, tasted stringy, almost like there were harder parts to the chicken. The burgers my family got were delicious but my pasta was not. I ll know for next time to order the burgers!

Im new to town and decided to check out Midtown. Corinne made it such an amazing first experience I will definitely be back thanks to her. I came in during a busy time and she handled every table on her own with grace, professionalism and amazing speed for being on her own. Shout out to the manager AJ for helping her out during the busy time. Not to mention my Chicken Thai bites and Pulled Pork Poutine were exceeded my expectations by MILES. Way to go kitchen staff!

Nice place, fantastic service, good french onion soup, uninspired braised beef. Quite bland, I guess they are hoping the gravy saves it (decent gravy) carrots were OK, brocolli was overcooked. Mom liked her burger and fries, good sized portions.

Whenever I am in town, I love to go here with my parents. Its a quaint, up-to-date decor, great daily specials, and delicious food. We are always provided excellent service. Last visit, we had Corinne take care of us. She was bubbly, prompt, and offered suggestions. Prices are reasonable, and food is quality. The atmosphere was lively with lots of patrons, which speaks volumes of the dining experience Midtown provides. I definitely recommend and definitely will return. Vegetarian options: Appetizer, salad, sandwich, burger and other entree options. Parking: Plaza parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible - no stairs at entrance or throughout restaurant. Lower tables to accommodate wheelchairs.

Great little place with great food and service.

Went with my husband for a lunch date today as we ve never tried midtown before. Walking in we see it s very open and clean atmosphere and establishment. It appears there was only one waitress in for the lunch hour. We sat ourselves and happily waited to be helped, the only waitress there comes up to us and puts menus down on table for us, no greeting, no smile, not a word and just walks away. She kept this type of demeanour the entire time we would order and receive our food and drinks. I m sure there s a reason , but the way she acted made us feel like we were just simply a burden to be there so it didn t feel like very good service. We also sat down and ordered before the table behind us (they came in and seated themselves after we did) and she served them everything before us and appeared to have a friendlier atmosphere for them vs us. Not sure what we did to cause that but it was our first time ever visiting this restaraunt and I think we re unsure of going back

I loved the atmosphere but I was with my parents and they didn t love the rock music at 5:00pm dinner. They are in their mid 80 s of age and it wasn t the best music.

Came in to enjoy a Cowboy burger on February 17th and was served by Corrine Im surprised there was no hair on the plate with the number of times I saw her flip/touch her hair. She was chewing gum and smacking it while taking the order, which felt very unprofessional and honestly made the whole experience with her even worse. The only upside to the experience was that the food was delicious.

I love Midtown! The food is amazing, the service is always great and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. It s my go to Sarnia restaurant. The only downfall is they don t accept reservations, so I have been disappointed in the past with med-large parties not being able to get a table. I will see you soon for my birthday meal and I can t wait!

Im from out of town but whenever I go to sarnia I go to midtown. Burgers are great, fish is great, soup is great and the staff and service are amazing. Only thing I dint like was a drink I had made, cant remember the name but the waitresses came over and asked how my meal was I mentioned the meal was good but the drink was horrible I had already finished it by that point and she offered to not charge me for it, I made it clear I would pay regardless of weather I liked it or not because I finished it but the offer was very genuine and nice considering I mentioned I dint like it after it was already gone. This place is a true gem and I hope it continues to thrive. And next time I go to sarnia you can bet Ill be having dinner at midtown. Parking: Lots of spots and wheelchair accessible. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. They got crayons and coloring stuff to keep them occupied. They even got a good price on weekends its either Saturday or Sunday cant rember it was super cheep for kids to eat.

Went in at dinner time. Restaurant was only half capacity. Hostess say us immediately. 3 servers working. Was told our server would be by shortly. He walked past us repeatedly to take orders of tables that came in after, did service quality checks, even sat other tables beside us. We didnt even get brought water, let alone asked what we wanted to eat. So after 15-20 minutes, we got up and left. Would give zero stars if I could.

Have been to mid town on several occasions, food and service are one of the best in town. One of the few places where my kids clean the entire plate without argument. Can t wait to go out for dinner again

Food is awesome, service is lacking, waiting to be seated takes a bit even with open tables, no offer to refill on drinks, otger people who had beer wrre offered refills but our non alcoholic drinks sat empty and never saw waitress again after food was delivered.

Wings were decent, some were left in the fryer a little too long though. Wait time for the wings was over 40 minutes though.

First time here and very impressed. Lots of choices on menu for food and beverage . Our server Cameron was Fantastic, give her a raise she is perfect example of great customer service.

Good food fast. Service was efficient. The majority of tables had the fish and chips.. no complaints from 5 people. I had the ceaser wrap. It was stuffed with goodness. We ordered a couple of apps to share, and the garlic knots were awesome.

Food and staff were excellent. $80 for 4 people lunch...no alcohol, is average price now. Almost fast food price. Great wait staff makes the difference. We have been there at least once a month this year, No complaints. Definitely spreading the word!

I absolutely love their food.! We had the cowboy burger and swiss onion soup through take out. If I could eat that soup every day for the rest of my life, I would... It is THAT tasty!... The only things I would add is the onion pieces are a bit big so it was hard for them to stay on my spoon and not flick me in the face lol and the packing of the takeout needs a bit of work to prevent spilling. Superior service, We will be back again and again!

Terrible service. I ask my adoptive son to get a classic burger with no onions. They gave him attitude and messed with the order. Even his friend said he never seen anyone gave attitude like that nor did they ever see them do a horrible order like this before. Never again. The firend suggested this place and it was our furst time and last time we ever pay here

Servers are always friendly. Their food is amazing! Ive been there many times and have never had any issues. I love it there. They do get very busy at dinner time and service can get slowed down because of it, but thats understandable and the fact that they are still friendly is incredible.

Great little pub in the place we re the old white knight use to be the stuff amazing the menu as a nice and simple selection and the food is amazing and well priced never waiting long for food to arrive. Never have I left unsatisfied. Me and my Friends go every Sunday after are game session for dinner.

Sarnia a best salads! A salad is so easy but most places really phone it in! Not here they have really fresh veggies, good toppings and more then the classic few dressings! There other food is good too, starters are average. Lots of parking as well

Im traveling for work, and have been trying a few of the restaurants in Sarnia. I sat alone at the bar as I usually do. Sometimes you meet interesting people that way. One patron at the bar had received his last beer and was told he was cut off after that one. He called the one server The mean one and the other server Sister of the mean one. Despite his verbal degradation of the young women, they all maintained a high level of professionalism! After he left, the women working brought me my order, it was wing night and the 20 wings I got were HUGE! Overall, huge kudos to the staff and if I see that guy next time Im in, Ill just grab a table.

The food is so good for the price. Staff is always friendly to greet and accommodating with food adjustments. Never feel like a burden. We always enjoy the fun selections. Husband thinks they re the best burgers! :)

This is the best salad in Sarnia (been awhile since I had a good salad). We got both the Cobb Salad as well as the Greek salad. It is a toss up as to which is better. The husband said not only good salad but the hot wings were top shelf. Sorry no picture the food was eaten so fast.

Ate here for the first time after hearing about them on Supportimg Sarnia and Surrounding Businesses on Facebook. The food was awesome, we had the chicken supreme and chicken parmesan. Definitely will be back.

Fantastic new patio! Always friendly with awesome food!

One of the worst food experience I had, tandoori wings does not have any salt or taste. Parmesan wings was dripping with unlimited oil. Even the pasta was just fine. Come here an eat jalapeño poppers, that is the only good thing here.

Not the worst, but definitely not the best restaurant I ve been to. Food? Not bad, but not good. Service? Not bad, but not good. Some of the servers also at times opted to walk around the restaurant without their masks on. Overall a mediocre experience. I wouldn t rush back.

First visit to Midtown Tap & Grill and it did not disappoint. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. We ordered tuscan chicken, lemon/dill grilled salmon, and calamari. Everything arrived quickly, was beautifully plated, and tasted awesome. Well done chef. We will definitely be back.

Not too bad. Staff was friendly. We were seated and drink requests taken almost immediately. Food portion was a decent size for the price. Only thing that bothered me was the acoustics. It is a smaller location, and it honestly wasnt terrible, Im just overly sensitive to noise. Was moderately able to carry on a conversation, but voices do travel. I would go back again, menu was fantastic!

Beautiful new restaurant in sarnia. The staff is super nice and friendly. And great to see my favourite bartender from another restaurant move over here. The food was fantastic. Nacho burger!! Breakfast burger!! Jalapeño popper burger!! Omg . Our dinner was fantastic and reasonably priced. I love the fact they even have the bar game here! That s mine and my BFs fav!! Our server Amanda was amazing. Great food , great prices and a great atmosphere. Perfect place for a night out or dinner with family. The $2 kids meal on Sundays is a deal that just cant be beat.

A customer came into my flower shop and told my colleague and I about two fabulous meals she had at a local restaurant this week! She was heading there for lunch for a third time with a friend. Later that evening my husband and I had our date night dinner at Midtown Tap and Grill and it was spectacular. The Tuscan chicken was superb with a delicate creamy sauce. The fresh, handcut vegetables were al dente. The baked potato finished a beautifully presented plate. Sorry, no idea what my husband had because I was concentrating on mine and giving it the full attention it demanded! PS. Delightful, engaging woman waited our table and she was quite enthusiastic about the chef/owners attention to detail in the kitchen. Kudos to all. I have all ready told six friends and will continue to spread the word.
