Very delicious full food and excellent service

We were in with another couple today, enjoyed our meal. Our waitress was very good. The only thing I would suggest is when your clean up crew keeps his comment to himself when taking tip from the table. And the waitress deserved the tip not him.

Solid breakfast place.

Not bad pricewise, but their homefries for.breakfast seem like chopped up mcain frozen french fries. And toast comes as buttered bread. No crunch, otherwise..an egg is an egg.

I come here frequently, because it s all around consistently amazing service and high quality, homemade, delicious food. I always order the Benny Boat which is the best I ve ever had anywhere! The coffee is perfect and the refills are endless. Service is friendly and always accompanied with a smile. It s very kid friendly too. I m glad we have such a gem like this one in Sarnia!

First time trying this place , it was actually pretty decent . My meal was excellent , I believe it was called the Benny bowl. The person I was with disliked there meal . When I was paying water started dripping on me from the roof . I looked up and there is a big hole in the ceiling tile where it looks to have been leaking for a very long time . If they cant fix the roof it makes you wonder what other corners they may be cutting or the state of the kitchen and possible other issues.

At this stop, I had steak and eggs. It is brought to the table sizzling in a small cast-iron frying pan. Believe them when they tell you it is smoking hot. IT IS HOT!

I love Ole Country Dinner, a regular haunt of ours, service is always outstanding (Special Kudos to Jackie) food is the best breakfast in sarnia, quick turnover between ordering and when your food arrives, easy checkout always, we go to the gym early in the morning during the week and when we chose to treat ourselves to a nice breakfast we can be in and out and at work on time by 9am fed and happy ! I cannot say enough nice things about this diner! Thanks guys!

Stopped in for a breakfast. Not sure what the rest of the menu is like but the breakfast was delicious. The regular breakfast was delicious. Will have to stop in again and try some other food.

The food was okay but the portions were small. The prices were ridiculous, four of us costed more than $120. They charged $4 for pop that came in cans with no refills, $1.50 per omelette filling with $17 as a bas for just the eggs folded in an omelette shape with a side. Ruben eggs Benedict came in a dish and the plate beneath was sprinkled with half a dozen fries.

Astronomically priced for awful food. I m not a picky eater by any means, but their clubhouse sandwich was so nasty I had to spit it out. I couldn t even eat it. They use a thousand island sauce?!?! AND they have a piece of ham or bologna on it?!? I was so perplexed at how they managed to completely ruin a clubhouse sandwich. It s a classic, how did they go so wrong? I will never dine here again. It s sad because they re local and I d love to support but the prices absolutely DO NOT match the flavour of the food. The server was amazing though.

All these amazing reviews made us stop. Almost $43 for 2 people for a mediocre breakfast with water to drink and 1 milk. They forgot my sausage, which when it did come it was awful and not eaten. The pancakes were not fully cooked you could taste the raw pancake dough taste in the middle yet it was so dry everywhere else that it crumbled. (I know it contradicts itself)! The home fries were diced up French fries and you got a very little amount. The toast was so thin you could almost see through it. These online images are nothing like what we got! Also do not trust those online prices! Everything was double what it says on their online menu! I would not recommend and will not be back.

Benny boat was great. Benny ship would be a cool option to receive more, but the boat would probably fill the average joe.

Not sure what the 5 star ratings are about. We had an overpriced average breakfast with cut up fries instead of home fried potatoes. We are new to town and will try somewhere else next time.

First time going and it was the Worst breakfast I ever had... in sarnia the smallest portions I have ever seen & very expensive.. 50 dollars for 2 people and a kids pancake meal if you are going to charge thoses prices you better deliver quality food.

Absolutly disgusted in this establishment. The front managment is by far the worst iv seen in any diner in sarnia, ontario. The way she treats staff is wrong. As well as customers. Food was ok. Wouldnt reccomend it. I have taken my family to almost every restraunt diner etc in sarnia area. This is by far the worst establishment we have been too. Would not recomend going there, and if you get a waiter named ang, ask for the newer waiters . That woman was a disgrace to the city of sarnia let lone a diner waiting on people. Terrible attitudes i could not beleive the experiance. However if you do decide to go ask for one of the newer waiters. That will smile an greet you with a friendly smile an welcome you too share a enjoyable breakfast and lunch. Hands down to that waiter. For working in such a stressful workplace yet still manages to keep a smile. I didnt get the name of the young lady but very respectful hard worker. Deserves a raise and respect . I would pass the tips too her !! And not bat a lash to terry and ang. Great food, if only the manager would listen however so keep in mind to repeat yourself to her arogance. Kid-friendliness: Manager is absolutly rude, no respect for the customers, or there own staff, this manager was swearing infront of my children , giving attitude to our family for asking simple questions lime allergy issues she didmt care to consider. We asked for certain items to not be cooked in or around my kids food.terry did not listenwere i had to rush my child to emergency immediatly.

3.5 stars - 14$ for a kids breakfast that consisted of 1 thin French toast and two sausages. Quite crazy Food is good. But $60 for 2 adults and a small child is a little crazy .

Came in on a Friday before the long weekend, quick and friendly service. Ordered the Egg whites with a side of fruit. Everything was well seasoned and plenty of spreads were available for the toast. The only con was the amount of fresh fruit given was less to none. About one strawberry, two blueberries, 1 orange slice. That being said, the fruit was fresh. Overall, a nice little spot to stop by for a quick breakfast or lunch with very friendly staff.

If your looking for simple food that tastes great Ole Country Dinner is where you want to go.

Its always been a great experience here, but yesterday was fantastic! The server checked in perfectly, making sure everything was going well and bringing water without us needing to ask. The food was wonderful, everything was made just right. Thanks, everyone, for the work you do here, it shows!

The food was average, I went for breakfast. I got a basic 2 egg and sausage breakfast. The restaurant was not busy but the waitress put us in the back corner on stools.....not comfortable at all. The waitress seemed bothered like she did not want to be there that day!

Food was great Service was great Nice clean diner No soup or burgers on the menu, you had to pay an extra $1 for saurkrat on a Ruben. A turkey breast sandwich was $17.50. We found the lunch menu very small! The breakfast did look wonderful! Fries were handcut and very good!

$3.50 coffee $17 omelete $4 milk. Those are outrageous prices we will never come back to this place. Cant see this place staying open long

the hubby and I finally stopped in here after walking by at least five times. I was expecting an old school, hole-in-the-wall style, comfort food diner. this is absolutely not that. im not sure what sort of country diner has a chandelier, wine, and a 28 dollar bacon wrapped FILET MIGNON... but its definitely not one ive ever heard of. we literally just wanted bacon and eggs, there wasnt anything like that on the menu. we settled for sandwiches, mine was average, his completely sucked. we paid upwards of 40 bucks for two sandwiches, fries, and water. holy hell. please, just save your money, dont quench your curiosity.

It is a good place to have breakfast, I liked my breakfast, the service and attention was good, the waiting time to be served was about 20 minutes, there are not many people, so you wont have to wait in line!! If you are not looking for something very demanding you can go to this place!! The prices are good!!

Decent breakfast

One of the better clubhouses I have had in town. On Rye. Toasted. With coleslaw as side. Coleslaw was a creamy dressing. It was okay but my preference is an oil and vinegar dressing. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Was about 3/4 full. Staff was engaging and courteous to the patrons. Only issue was not sure whether I was to pay at table or at counter. Waited a couple minutes then made inquiry and was directed to pay at counter.

I decided to bring my kids here for breakfast as I had a good experience in the past. Today however was very disappointing. Very slow service (unless you were a regular customer I noticed), cold meals and extremely pricy for a simple breakfast meal. Don t get me wrong, I don t mind paying extra for a good meal, but unfortunately this was not the case today. My son ordered a meal with extra ham and sausage which he never did receive. Very disappointing The hostess however was very polite and helpful!!

I wish I could dine in but the takeout is always just as great. My order is the eggs Benedict with peameal bacon and is delicious everytime. Thank you!

First time customer Amazing! great portions great price great service. Did an order for work needed 45 breakfast meals to go. Kyle and the staff made sure everything was in each container. Included eggs, homefries, bacon, sausage, toast and pancakes, plus butter, jam, maple syrup, peanut butter and ketchup. Will definitely have them cater again!

I used to live in Sarnia. My family, and this diner are the only reasons I return to the city. I love the food, the atmosphere, and the people. I ordered the Benny boat. I cant even describe how good it was. Just go eat it. Seriously. Stop reading my review and go. The Hollandaise never splits, the eggs were perfectly poached, I couldnt stop eating.

Fast service, great folks running it, if you have a chance is definitely worth the stop here for breakfast. Would visit again!

Friendly staff, always fast service, and good food. My go to is the eggs Benedict, with peameal and fruit which they will substitute any meal with fruit, instead of hashbrowns, pancakes or toast. It wasnt overcooked, like some places do with their peameal.

Will never go for breakfast again but it is a great place. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere made you feel like you belonged. The food was delicious. I had to remove a star because it was SO expensive, we will not be able to go as a family again. The eggs Benedict was delicious but it came with the smallest portion of home fries I have ever seen in my life, like they may as well not have been there (they were also really awkward to try and pick up with my fork because of the boat the eggs come in).

The first time in for almost three years . My oldest son invited me out for breakfast and when he asked where I would like to go, I said you choose. So when he said Ole Country Diner ; I said great, Ive not been for quite a while. So we met up there and I was not disappointed. Just like I remembered. I had Eggs Benedict and it was very good, but I did find they use a bit too much vinegar in the egg poaching water. It is somewhat normal with many restaurants, but I did not complain to our water who was very good and efficient. Still a Great Place to Eat ! !

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in sarnia, the staff are all amazing people and the service is excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place anytime.

Food was good but the portion small. Staff was friendly. I was expecting more of a grandmas style of breakfast. Plate on plate fills space and leaves less room for food. Should have used one plate and used potatoes as more of a filler.

I ordered the Benny boat and it was delicious. It was pretty darn filling but my mouth demanded that we eat every bite.

WAY too expensive for the quality, service, or portions. Dont get me wrong the food was good, but the cheapest breakfast entrée was 16 dollars. I dont claim to know the Sarnia market but I was shocked.

Food was decent, atmopshere was good, service was good, portions were small for the price point, $17 for breaskfast was ok? but there was an underwhelming amount of hasbrowns and the meats were rather dry. + $3 for coffee and I spent $30 with tip and I left a little dissapointed. I personally wouldnt recommend but wouldnt deter someone either.

Staff is friendly. Service was good .Ridiculously expensive for what it is. 7.00 for two small cups of coffee. 15 dollars for two eggs, two 1/16 slices of dry ham, what looked like frozen French fries cut into cubes to resemble hashbrowns, and two silver dollar pancakes that tasted like generic pre mix. 25 dollar bill with 5 dollar tip. $30 out the door for one breakfast. Will not return.

Do not purchase the steak n eggs for $20 they advertise a seasoned 5 Oz filled mignon but the actual serving size is about the same size as a 2 Bute brownie totally disiapointing but the other food we had was tasty and the staff was friend

Had the Mexican boat. It was tasty and portion was good. The 9nly downside was, I ordered tomato juice and there were a few fruit flies about and one of them landed in my juice. They replaced the juice. Need to take care of fly issue.
