It was my first visit, ordered pad Thai and was given option of spice level so I just picked mild. I’ve eaten Pad Thai many, many times as I’ve moved a lot, and I’ve never had it mild or had an option but always have enjoyed it. For some strange reason this was too spicy and otherwise did not taste good outside of that one overwhelming spice, no flavour. Not sure if there was an error in the order.
We absolutely love Selina's - amazing value for the delicious food you get!! We made the unfortunate mistake of trying to order on skip the dishes and they took over an hour to NOT deliver our order so I called Selina's and she assured me they had made it anyway so I went and picked it up myself. Do yourself a favor and just order from her directly, she's amazing. Thank you so much again!
I’m a very picky eater, but Selina’s beef and broccoli is the best I’ve ever had from any place ever, quality and never chewy , broccoli crisp but still well cooked, the oyster sauce is amazing. Love this place
I used to love this place and the chicken pad thai from here but it has gone completely down hill. The pad thai has 0 flavour and the chicken was practically inedible. I had to throw it out. I’m not sure if it’s due to the chili paste shortage or what but i unfortunately will not be back. Really disappointing
Food was yummy! Nice saucy Pad Thai and delicious appetizers. Lots of shrimp and chicken in the Pad Thai. Food was made quickly. No seating to eat in is the only drawback. Made a mistake and happily fixed it. Thank you!
Delicious!! I was craving Pad Thai and Selina's delivered! Restaurant is currently PICK-UP/ TAKE-OUT ONLY, but my family agreed before going in that, if she didn't have sit- down options, we'd take it back to the hotel. No complaints! Pad Thai - mild - very mild!! If you like a bit of bite, go for medium spice. VERY generous protein portions! Hot & Sour Prawn soup - spicy!! If you can't handle heat, pick something else!
I'm just in town for the night and I googled Thai food… I lucked out! This is delicious! Coconut chicken soup, spring rolls, and pad Thai. All fantastic. I definitely made the right choice.
Was craving some Asian food while attending to business in Sarnia and came here based on reviews. I ordered the Pad Thai and vegetarian spring rolls. I guess for a smaller town (compared to Toronto), the food was decent but I didn't feel like it was that amazing. I'm not sure if the people working there were Thai but the food was lacking the usual Thai flavors that I'm used to and even though I ordered it with medium spicy level, it was not spicy at all. I had to ask for some peppers and even though the waitress there told me it was "very hot," it was medium at best. But the most disappointing thing was the level of service I received compared to the others in the restaurant. I don't expect to be treated like royalty but the waitress was more talkative with the other guests in the restaurant (who were regulars and 2 other groups were out of town) and honestly I didn't feel my visit was valued even though I spent almost $40 for one person after tax and tip. 🤷🙄

Amazing food
Having lived in Hamilton and Toronto for most of my life, and having actually stays 2 months in Thailand and 1 year in Vietnam , I can honestly say, I don t recognize what I was eating. If doesn t taste anything like Thai food. Since moving to Sarnia I ve been missing being able to eat out . There s virtually no where to eat Thai food anywhere in Sarnia. The fast food tie at the mall has more flavour than what I got it Selena Thai. I ve also stopped going there because it taste like cleaning chemicals. If your and aspiring Thai cook thinking of opening a Thai restaurant and you plan on serving actual Thai food, you ll certainly have my business, but it seems the good folks of Sarnia wouldn t know Thai food if it slapped then in the face. That being said I do not know the nationality of the owners or cook, and did not try any Vietnamese dishes. So they very well could be fine. But I ve learned to make better Thai food at home , out of necessity. I am not leaving this review to be mean, they seem very nice. It s just not Thai food.
Selina makes wonderful food. Hot tip: try the stuffed wontons, youll love them!
the food is great, hours of service and customer service are some of the worst I have experienced. ignores you when you get to store, no one greets the customer. most often out of majority of menu items. this could be turned around but tragically it isnt. this has been formed by multiple visits to this location.
Super delicious food with loads of flavour. The vegetarian green curry was savoury and delicious, and the service for takeout was quick. She even took my order and served me 30 minutes before they were open. Great local business thank you Selina

My husband just picked up pad Thai for both of us. The noodles were so over cooked, there was no flavour and it was just overall so disappointing. We haven t had Selena s in over a year and we will 100% not be going back. So sad

Best Thai food in Sarnia
Came to Narnia for work. Wanted to try this place out. Reviews made this place sound decent. The service was horrible. Lady was rude and rushing me to take my order. (No one els was in the restaurant). After taking my order. She says we have to wait 40 mins for 1 order of pad Tai noodles. So I assumed maybe she had other orders to prepare. I waited outside the restaurant for the 40 mins and not 1 person walked in or out of this place. I do not recommend anyone to come here.

Food is good but have tried on 3 different occasions to call to order pick up. Phone just rings- generic voice mail says leave a message so I did. No call back. Website says restaurant is opened. Can t say I m motivated to try them again.
Went here based on the high scoring reviews. Very disappointed with beef pad Thai. The beef was chewy and tasteless, very pricey takeout, wont be back.
I ordered a Coconut Shrimp soup and a Thai Pad Shirimp. It was a $28 meal (all in with tax and tips). The soup was good, the Thai Pad was okay, and a little bit too pricy.

I normally never write google review but felt strongly enough to do so. The customer service was great. We were the only customers in there so we did not have to wait too long for our food at all. However, it goes without saying if you are Italian, Spanish, Caribbean, Indian or are use to eating food with flavour do not waste your money here. The food is absolutely horrible, has no taste or flavour and their Thai is similar to ramen noodles. What a waste of $15. There are much better places you can eat at for less, that actually taste good, and are presented better. I shouldve known better when we walked in and we were the only guests present. I Would NOT recommend.
It is highly recommended for those who want to enjoy a Pho bowl in Sarnia. It seems that this restaurant was the only place where you can order Vietnamese Pho in Sarnia city.

Very pleased with every meal Ive gotten there. Had the pad Thai which was not my favourite but I feel like every pad Thai Ive had in every different place has its own unique taste. Chicken satay was amazing and authentic, coming from someone of Indonesian decent we have satay too and it tastes exactly like how my grandma makes it, and the mango salad is my favourite (with the satay).
Ordered takeout one night and big mistake. Once I got food home didnt quite smell right. And when I tasted it, to no surprise was the same, they obviously didnt make fresh shrimp or chicken. Something was terribly off. When I called to mention it the owner made it out like it was my fault. No apoligize just continuedvto argue like thry did and could do no wrong. So I couldnt be bothered to sit on the phone and argue about this. This made it even worse. No remorse no nothing. Not even a come by another day and Ill make it right. So Im making it right but never going back in there. I even had a chef try it and thry couldnt even take another bite. OH well Selina good luck. And wondering how your doing now that you have to close for a few weeks l. Its times like this where maybe Id get take out. But now I dont and will never trust you or your food again. Good luck....

Didnt tell me it was cash only, got angry when I wouldnt go out of my way 30 minutes to get cash, then scoffed at me and swore when I said I couldnt pay for the food I had ordered for takeout. Was extremely rude, wont go back there.
We have been eating Thai from Selina since she started serving it at her location on East Street several years ago. We just visited her new location on Murphy Road and it was exactly the same quality and taste as she has always prepared. Everything is nice. Highly recommended.
Due to Corona, only ordering and self-collection are currently possible. The staff is very friendly and as usual Thai restraint which is very pleasant - my choice was vegetarian spring roll Wonton with cheese filling 1 shrimp mushroom soup - and as the main course the beef basil sauce and vegetables onions broccoli and peppers - it was delicious from A to Z. The taste was very Thai and authentic - its a shame that you cant eat there at the moment - still absolutely recommended top quality Very satisfied

Great place, FRESH food and friendly staff. Excellent portions and prices. I highly recommend this place, go figure by my 4 Stars, would of been more if was decorated a bit better. No liquor licence yet? I just read the report/comments by KK R? He is just a miserable SOB with no life or personality. If you check this punk out, he gives the same reply for all the business he goes to! He is just a miserable loner he actually gave himself 1 star. lol...
Best food in town! Many options for every one, including picky pams or burger Bobs. Try it, you will not regret it! Pho and pad Thai are Staples imo

Had a pleasant Pad Thai here for lunch. There was enough to take home for another meal. Spring rolls were some of the best Ive had recently. Atmosphere was very informal. Service was friendly. Would like to return and try other items also.

Love the pad thai. It was ready quick too. Selina seemed bummed out i didnt find it too spicy, she is probably used to the sensitive types. The coconut shrimp is also delicious.
Selinas was excellent as always. I made sure I got there before I head back to Langley BC I had my usual coconut shrimp and cashew chicken. I love them both. I recommend her restaurant to all my friends and family. It is delicious!!!
Fantastic food and great service! They have their vegan/vegetarian section highlighted which is great to see! I had a blast ordering all the yummy dishes. Awesome with making accommodations based off allergies/diet restrictions too.

Friend introduced to Selinas about two years ago and Ive been getting takeout there ever since! Great tasting food with various spice options. Made fresh in a very timely manner. Very friendly hostess. Love the small counter with seasoning, sauces and tea for sale. I will keep coming here for great Thai food!

Not actual Thai food, not even close. More like Canadian Chinese with a Candianized Pad Thai on the menu that you could order at Boston Pizza. They wouldn t be able to pull off the Thai label in a larger, more culturally diverse city.
The Pad Thai is excellent and we keep going back for more.

A continuation of GREAT food. If you like Thai food this is a wonderful place to try. Portion sizes are good and service is GREAT. Possible improvement...would like to see hairnets on staff preparing food.

How this place has 4.5 stars this place is amazing to me. The customer service here is not great, had to wait a half hour just to be acknowledged that we were in the restaurant. When we ordered we were told that if two people share a dish it s an extra $3. That is bs, charging your customers like that is awful service. When we finally received our food, the portions were small and the taste was sub par. For the price we paid for our meal I recommend going some where else as this place isn t worth the time or money.

Excellent Pad Thai!
Selina welcomed us although she was closed today a Saturday from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. it was only 3:15 P.M. The soup has a chicken broth that is home made. The spring rolls are the best ever. The tiger shrimp dinner included mixed vegetables (celery, red peppers, purple onions, green cabbage, shredded in a beef broth) were crisp and fresh. The jasmine rice was fluffy and was included with the meal. We will be making this restaurant a frequent place to eat.

I live in Mississauga and have tried a lot of Thai food but Sarnia you need to see youve got a diamond in the rough here! Its some of the best Thai food Ive ever had and at a bargain price. Eat there and make it stay or your going to loose something special.

Had heard good things about Selenas new Thai-only place. Tried it for lunch last week and was blown away. Lunch specials offer 2-meal portions for fast food prices. Had the Chicken Pad Thai and loved it. I requested spicy, and the green chilies really added an awesome bite. It was absolutely delicious, and came with a real spring roll, not one of those mini spring roll disappointments from the market. I am a big guy and I could only eat half before I tapped out. Wife had Yellow Curry Chicken and also loved it. Highly recommended and will be back soon to try the Singapore Noodles. Wife heard the the Wonton soup was also amazing.

We went here for dinner. I had a delicious vegetarian pad thai. Service was excellent. Dishes are served according to your preferred spice level. Meals felt like they were truly homemade. Atmosphere is very casual. Good to have excellent Thai restaurant in Sarnia. Well definitely be back.

I didnt have the Thai fare, which maybe I should have, but instead opted for the Spinach, Tomato and Feta omelette. I have to say that the food was bland... no salt or seasoning at all it seemed. The feta got washed away. Went with one other person and our sides were mixed up, calling for the plates to go back to the kitchen. Decidedly average.
In a city like Sarnia you wouldnt think to find good Thai food, but South East Cafe (Selenas) is remarkable. Well done!
