So many delicious vegan options, I m sad I couldn t try them all! Very nice interior and great service. Next time I m in Sask I m definitely going back.

Best restaurant in Saskatoon

Fit us in last minute. My wife and I dont often get out of town alone and love to have new experiences. Everything that we had was the best I had ever eaten, even the rice was the perfect texture and flavour, which is crazy. My wife is getting annoyed with how often I am telling people about how great this restaurant is and how much I love it! Keep up the great work, cant wait to come back!

We always enjoy having a meal at Odd Couple whenever possible. Its our favorite restaurant in Saskatoon. This year we utilized their catering services for my wifes birthday party. They provided an awesome buffet of dishes for a reasonable price, delivered right to our door. All of our guests raved about the food. Highly recommended. Andy and his staff are amazing.

Small but mighty menu. Excellent take on East Asian cuisine. And I loved their Vietnamese iced coffee.

This was quite the find!!! It was recommended by a server in Moose Jaw and thank goodness she did. The food was authentic, flavourful, and absolutely delicious. It was so good that I asked to speak to the manager to thank her for such an amazing experience. This is a must if you are looking for a great Asian food experience in Saskatoon!!!!

Excellent menu, super yummy vegan options and wonderful service by Kira. I started with the appetizer- vegan spring rolls. 4 rolls either enough for a meal on their own or enough to share with others. I enjoyed the Tofu Thai Basil Stir Fry and Tempura Cauliflower with Ginger Lime Honey Tea. Dessert sea salt chocolate tart on coconut cream tasted like a bounty bar. The chocolate was super smooth and creamy!!

The menu is limited but that is on purpose and they offer a good selection of items within that menu. The food is normally good and very tasty. Service is excellent and the staff are pleasant and attentive.

Had a server named Danielle. My dad had a few questions and she started with when I am speaking do not interrupt me she then proceeded to speak on the menu items and when my dad had a question he had to ask she said I told you not to interrupt me Ill just come back in a bit and left the table. When she came back the first thing she said was can I speak without you speaking over me she finished the useless information she had to say about every item on the menu then said I have a table of 10 coming in so if you dont order quickly then I probably wont be back to serve you for a bit Me and My family eat at alot of restaurants and I was actually blown away. My dad and wife kept their cool (my wife was severely embarrassed) and I wanted to leave but my dad actually said he will stay because he didnt want to embarrass or upset my wife further(Was supposed to be a celbration dinner as me and my wife are having our 2nd child) That being said the food was mediocre at best and the atmosphere was pretty good i suppose. But the service was quite possibly the worst I have ever experienced in my 35 years of dining. I have never had a server act like Danielle did and it made me feel awkward and embarrassed. Dishes are 40 bucks a piece plus apps, and I did not go out to feel upset and genuinely mad when I left. I do not recommend the restaurant (no idea why it is top rated) ... I do not recommend Danielle. She should find a job she likes if she doesnt want to hear from people paying for the food. The only good part of the night was the very joyful hostess. On the way home we all jokingly said that she should have been waiting our table and our night probably would have been 100 times better.

The atmosphere, taste, and staff of this restaurant that I visited without anticipation all complimented. The food decoration, the laughter of the staff, I am satisfied. Everything about the appetizer, the whole dish, and the dessert was impressive

It was our first time to dine here on my birthday and I would say that I highly recommend this place!!! 10/10. Friendly employees especially to Nicole and our server (sorry can t remember her name). I ve been a fan of The Odd Couple for many years now. So much that I celebrated my 40th bday here with 37 close friends. We had a family style dinner with a set menu that the owner worked directly with me on. They are extremely accommodating with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten intolerance dietary restrictions. The food is a delicious and the desserts are extremely underrated. Highly recommend for any occasion.

As always the food was amazing! We had the set menu that was available and everything was delicious! The service and atmosphere were great as always. Dietary restrictions: We have a peanut and tree nut allergy. They are always as accommodating as possible and very open with any potential cross contamination concerns besides the general cross contamination spiel that other places give.

We recently visited The Odd Couple as a group of six, and it was a fantastic experience! The variety of food on the menu is impressive, and everything we tried was excellent. A lot of the dishes seemed to be deep-fried, but they were still incredibly tasty and well-prepared. The desserts were a real highlight so impressive and yummy that we almost ordered seconds! While the food is on the pricier side, it seems to be the norm for most restaurants these days, and it definitely wont stop me from going back. We didn t try the bar menu, so I can t comment on that, but one thing to note is that they don t offer refills on pop, which was a bit of a downer. Overall, The Odd Couple offers a great dining experience with excellent food and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if youre in Saskatoon! Vegetarian options: A few things.

I dont understand why this place is rated so well. Is this the best Saskatoon has got ? I waited at the host desk to be seated and no one appeared for a while, then i walked straight to the end of the restaurant for bathroom & no one bothered!!!! Menu was super limited, Food was bland & raw!!! Asian ? Seriously? The chilli oil was nothing chillies. We dont go to restaurants just sit and wander at the ambiance

The food was soooo delicious. I ordered the Thai coconut chicken main dish that comes with rice and avocado. Such a lovely mix of flavours and our waitress was so friendly and efficient! Highly recommend

I was in town for work and grabbed take out. The staff were very friendly and The spring rolls are absolutely lights out! The lime shrimp curry home made noodles were very tasty as well!

The atmosphere is great !! However, the waitress werent the nicest, they couldnt wait to get us out. The food was the absolute worst. One of the worst meals I have ever tried. Also not worth the price.

The food, service and beverages have been amazing every time! The only down side is sometimes we feel rushed which can decrease the overall enjoyment of the experience. I understand the restaurant is small, busy and popular but it does take away from the overall experience when it is suggested you are on a time limit. Oh and it can get noisy at times which isnt the fault of the restaurant of course, just the people who tend to believe they are the only people in the restaurant/world. Favourite dish I think would be the Kung Pao Chicken 2 Ways.

Well recommended by both locals and Yelp though was The Odd Couple, an Asian Fusion place a nice 15 minute walk from my downtown hotel -- just enough to work up an appetite. I started with the Vietnamese Spring Rolls as my appetizer. These were four meaty and filling pork-based spring rolls. For a couple sharing this is a perfect appetizer. For me, it was a bit too much. But it was tasty and filling, and I can see why its a popular choice. The fresh cucumber slices were a nice light contrast to the heaviness of the spring rolls. There were a number of very interesting main options. I considered the Thai Chicken Strips and the Kung Pao Chicken 2 Ways, but in the end I went with my rule of ordering something it would be hard for me to make myself at home. That meant the Beef Tenderloin + Mango Slaw, described on the menu as Canadian Tenderloin (7oz) Wok-Fry with Thai Basil, Garlic and Thai Chilli Soy Sauce. Topped with Kaffir Lime Leaves. Mango, Jalapeño, Cilantro, House Mango Cucumber Salsa. Served with Coconut Rice. The rice was served in a side bowl and didnt make the shot but trust me, its there. The beef was indeed tender and very flavourful, and I enjoyed the coconut rice. I love mango and the mango slaw was a big draw for this dish. It didnt mix well though, I think serving it on the side was the right call. All in all, I walked back to my hotel unable to eat another bite and slept well my first night on the prairie. Would recommend for your next Saskatoon visit.

We most recently visited to celebrate a birthday for a friend. We had great and attentive service, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. We did not feel rushed and appreciated recommendations from the server.

One of my new favs in saskatoon! Food was absolutely delicious. We tried the kung pao chicken two ways and tiger shrimp Shanghai noodles. Both were scrumptious, but the kung pao chicken really stood out. One thing I really loved is the amount of vegan and vegetarian options and how clearly they were labeled on the menu. Our service was great, and the atmosphere inside was perfect. Great place for a date night in saskatoon!

Went there for a Christmas staff party . It was fantastic. We got to taste alot of appetizers , main entrees and they have a fabulous drink menu . Service was fantastic !!! Everything was very delicious. Great experience overall

Was in Saskatoon for a week and tried several restaurants one of which was Odd Couple, honestly don t get the appeal. The appetizer was decent, entrees were mid. There is a bit of a poser vibe and the servers are pretty phoney. Can t really understand how this is considered a great place to go to eat, I suspect it s more importantly a place to be seen. I highly recommend Caraway Grill in Saskatoon, friendly authentic staff there and the food is incredible (if you like Indian cuisine), might not be as trendy but it s truly a hidden gem.

The staff are top notch! They are so friendly and accommodating, we were so happy with the service. The food is on the pricey-er end of honestly it is so filling and flavorful it makes it worth it. Highly recommend and will happily be returning.

Ive heard good things about this place from family members and it seems like a popular place , however Id have to say the food quality doesnt really match the price. We ordered tiger shrimp noodles $22, crab Rangoon $12 and Kung Pao chicken $23 as well as a few drinks $13 cocktail $10 beer. Drinks were fine. Appetizer ok, Kung Pao fine, and the noodles basically $22 chow mein that you can get a better version for $9 at your local Chinese food restaurant. Also the service felt a bit rushed, Im guessing they are told to hurry it up by management because they were really trying to hurry things along. For the price and considering its marketing itself as upscale asian food, the food quality should be better and they should relax a bit on the extremely fast service.

This is some of the best vegan food Ive ever had. And Ive eaten a lot of plant-based meals, all over the world. The flavours are just amazing. We shared the vegan spring rolls, the ginger mushroom dish, and the tofu pad thai. Odd Couple is also a great place to bring meat-eaters, as they have a very varied menu with meat and vegan dishes. I heard great things from others in my group about the Kung Pao chicken and the ginger beef. My 84-year-old grandmother loved this place just as much as I did. Just a wonderful place to have a family meal. Will come back again next time Im in Saskatoon, 100%. Vegetarian options: Vegan/vegetarian appetizers available. Im so happy I was finally able to check this place off my list. Just as I heard, this place has fantastic asian-oriented cuisine, in a more elegant presentation. The portions are decently sized, so my recommendation is to share; that way you get yo try multiple dishes. They do have a different menu depending time of day, as a heads up. My favorite was the ginger mushroom, but the spring rolls are a must have.

Delicious food and quick delivery. Generous servings and alllll vegan! Ginger mushrooms are wonderfully dense and savoury. Bok choy is in a light garlicky sauce with lots of crunch. Super tasty. Mandatory tipping added on bill for a group of 6 that we were not aware of, so we ended up doubled tipped. Way over priced food that you can get elsewhere for half the price. What a rip off, will not come back.

My food was too sweet that I couldnt eat it. When we talked to our waitress about it she said this is the way its. There are lots of other answers she could have say instead to show that they are sorry that I am not enjoying the food as their customer.

Wow! Saskatoon brings Asian fusion to life at Odd Couple. I had read reviews in a few top 100 lists in Canada and this humble restaurant did not disappoint. I dont often say this....but this may be the best Asian fusion restaurant Ive ever been too including many of the top dining establishments in Vancouver. The food is fresh and the flavors are genuinely Asian but subtle. The cooking allows the natural flavors of the actual food to come through. The variety of dishes was wonderful. And the presentation was beautifully clean. The service was super friendly from all of the staff. They had time to converse and provide incredible recommendations. The space has a super charged vibe. A tiny cozy space but they make good use of their area. All around five stars. I was super impressed! 5 x

Apologies for any typos. Im working this review with one hand while my other hand uses my chopsticks as tiny spears to fight off my partners advanced on the remaining Drunken Noodles. I needed to start this review whilst still in the restaurant due to the endless superlatives flowing from our mouths. I didnt want them to be lost in the fog of post-feed lethargy that will no doubt follow tonights meal. First, the drunken noodles. No gluggy heavy noodles here. Springy, joyous noodles offering themselves freely and willingly to your chopsticks. Fresh vegetables accompany the tender beef in beautiful harmony. Full of flavor without the heaviness you might find in a typical Westernized noodle dish. Garlic Bok choi. Crisp and delicious. Full stop. Wonderful warm ambience and exemplary service. Paired with a beautiful Oregan Pinot.

The service here was incredible! Our host greeted us at the door with a smile and nod. She asked questions, introduced herself and went over the menu. The food and drinks were so tasty and lots of vegan options. My only complaint was like so many restaurants in the downtown area the parking can be a challenge at times. Well I wont be spending my money at this establishment. Very unwelcoming and highly unprofessional. Lmao! They wont seat you on their booth except youre 3 or more which is quite silly considering how empty it was. Even the waiter at the entrance had an attitude. Edit: Used to be one of my favorite places to dine, but we made a reservation tonight for 3 for my birthday and were anything but impressed. We felt very rushed throughout and the server was constantly approaching our table. We were not notified of of time limit of an hour and 45 minutes. It was only when we had finished (barely) that our meal that our server came over and said they needed the table in 15 minutes, how did we want to pay...uhhh okay so no dessert or after dinner drink. We told her we wanted to split and she wasnt back 20 seconds later with the machine asking us payment methods. We were honestly just laughing at this point because they obviously wanted us out and fast. I should mention there were about 3-4 empty tables at this point. The food has also gone downhill, lacking in flavor, portions and just overall. Think this was my last time Ill be here. This place has been a consistent favorite of mine since opening. Food, service and drinks are always impeccable. Definitely recommend

YOU GOTTA EAT HERE- WOWZA! What a place to eat! We are here from Alberta and were looking for somewhere that could accommodate vegan. Did they ever! My friend had a kung-pow two ways tofu & cauliflower which she hasnt stopped talking about and i very much enjoyed the lemon grass chicken& coconut rice. The drinks perfect, the menu doesnt leave anything to be desired and our server was herself! Im not sure her name but she pointed us in the direct of Amigos with her parents love story! My family and I went for a celebration and had an amazing meal. There were tons of Vegan and Omnivore options. Many dishes can also be made Vegan which was great. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Odd Couple has become a regular dine out option for our vegan family when were in Saskatoon. As a celiac vegan with some nut allergies, I have more delicious choices at Odd Couple than the average vegan restaurant! Their crunchy vegan gf spring rolls alone are worth the visit. Most of our family that we dined out with are not vegan, but they loved the kung pao cauliflower wings and ginger shiitake mushroom. My mind was blown that two out of three of the dessert options were vegan AND gluten-free. We loved the dark chocolate jin deui (with vegan lychee ice cream from Fable) - the hot and cold in one bite was a real treat. Top top it off, our server was friendly and knowledgeable. I tried 6 dishes and every singe one was delicious. the drinks were all great. the service was quick and everyone who works there is so kind and welcoming. Lovely flavors. Clean Fresh and spicy. Highlight of Saskatoon dining.

Always on my list of restaurants to try and was not disappointmented! I tried the spring rolls, bacon fried rice, kung pao chicken and this sesame chocolate ball for desert! Food was so delicious, great service and very nice ambience! Left happy and will absolutely return!

I was lucky enough to try the food items from The Odd Couple at a catered event. I am a vegan and they had an amazing and well flavored assortment of dishes as well as the most decadent chocolate cake for my dessert. Thank you for a memorable meal.

The Best!

Disappointing experience. The ginger beef was so chewy it honestly was hurting my jaw to eat it. We also ordered the Pad Thai and it was very different to any we have had previously in other restaurants, flavourless and just not good. The cutlery was just not comfortable to use and in general not a pleasant eating experience. There are a lot of better places so I definitely won t be back

Wow. This is one of the fanciest Asian restaurants Ive ever been to. Its how Id image Madame Chaus would like IRL. The food is a refined version of the original. The cocktail is deceptively refreshing, you would forget the alcohol content. Despite my visit being busy, the serving staff was still attentive.

I ordered the beef tenderloin and 2 of the pieces were so grisly I couldnt eat it. Very disappointing - the waitress didnt seem to care. I wont be recommending this restaurant any more.

This is always one of my favourite places to eat, the menu has a variety of Asian fusion dishes. And some classics reimagined. Service was good and our food arrived promptly and hot. Hats off as always to the kitchen staff! incredible menu, well balanced, packed with flavour. Well done!

We asked for the the servers recommendations and shared the Tomatoe Curry with Tofu and Lime Chicken strips. The food was delicious and servers were great! Nice atmosphere.

I cant believe I did not find this place sooner. I was told I had to try the veggie spring roll. I tried it and I could not believe how tasty and different it was compared to other spring rolls Ive had. I came home and told my husband about the spring rolls, and that he just had to try them and should go there to eat...soon. I cant wait to go back there.

Really good (and somewhat unique) asian food and great service!! Large portion sizes as well-3 out of 4 of us couldn t finish our meals and took some home!!

Amazing food, definitely a gem. I had the pork belly, Jasmine iced tea as my main then an ice coffee and the sesame ball with chocolate ice creme. The meat was well done, but the coconut rice hit the spot for me, gives me a ratatouille moment of when I was traveling. Definitely coming back when I am in town. The ice tea paired well with the meal, suggested by my server. My iced coffee paired well with the dessert also. I hope they bring back the set course menu, since its currently not available.

Decided to try the #1 ranked restaurant in Saskatoon and it did not disappoint. We tried the spring rolls which were the best weve had (try them with the housemade chilli sauce). We also got the pork Thai basil stir-fry, ginger beef, and the lime green chicken curry. All of them tasted great with great flavor profiles. The lime green curry was a favorite. Definitely check this restaurant out!

Amazing authentic food, right in amount and right in prices. Just have seen this in food network and well it did meet all expectations. Have now a reference to having a good food.

The staff at Parlour recommended this location for an Asian fusion meal. Staff were friendly and helpful, even suggested checking out the clothing store Hard PRSD next door while we waited for our takeout. Lots of unique dishes on the menu. We ordered the pork Thai basil stir fry with pork belly and kung pao chicken with Hong Kong waffle. Dishes were flavourful and large.

Food and atmosphere are very good. Service is really friendly and nice.

Best vegan spring rolls I have ever had!!!!!

Unbelievably good food and excellent service. Everyone was extremely happy with their dishes but I highly recommend the drunken noodle and the Diefenbaker Lake trout with lime and cilantro sauce. Also fantastic were the spring rolls and the crab rangoon. The food is fresh and fragrant. Substitute the regular rice for coconut rice and dump the lime cilantro sauce all over it. You re welcome.

So, I have had my eye on Odd Couple for quite some time now. After dining here finally, my only regret is that I didnt come sooner! The whole process, right from making the reservation to walking out the door after being done, was flawlessly executed. I was simply impressed with how organised and efficient the reservation process was. The food was oh so delicious. I am sure my tastebuds were in a state of ecstasy! I didnt catch the name of our server (the food pushed everything out of my mind) but she was just awesome. Her genuine positive energy and charming personality made the whole experience perfect. Thank you! All in all, do not think twice about trying out the Odd Couple!

Was recommended by a friend while visiting Saskatoon. Its great knowing that the restaurant has a lot of business, so we got take-out, food was good. Take out service was prompt, food was ready in 15 minutes. I had to tell myself that it was Asian Fusion food to adjust my palette for the more mild flavours that I experienced in 5 dishes, decent intro to Asian food that have more flavour. A bit saddened for portion sizing to price - only 6 small cauliflower kungpow bites for the price we paid. Crab rangoon was delicious, but the sauce the accompanied it was unnecessary. Main dishes were fine - mango avo salad, green curry, and the pork belly stir fry.

Wow, flavours are on point. Everything was very well prepared and cooked perfectly. Will definitely go out of my way to eat here again.

AMAZING. literally some of the best food i ve ever put in my mouth. had vegan spring rolls, vegan kung pao chicken, and ginger mushroom entree. every single thing was outstanding! i wish i could eat here every day!

The server was super nice and fun, the food was amazing, so much variety, the meat was really tender in everything that I ate, overall a great experience!

The food at Odd Couple is consistently excellent. From the balance of their drinks (with or without alcohol), to the sauces, to the sides, and the main dishes, every element is well done. I trust their food and flavour choices completely.

This was our first time trying this restaurant after many recommendations and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food and service were amazing. We will be back for sure!

Exceptional

I swore off leaving Google reviews. I even deleted all my previous reviews. Live quietly, I told myself. Then I ordered a bowl of soup from this place. Overcooked jicama. Whole, almost raw, mushrooms the size of goose eggs. Broth that supposedly contained Thai spices but was more tasteless than if they had just poured in a store bought vegetable tetra pack. I did tip because the service was decent. I dont understand how this place gets the reviews it does. I will not darken their door ever again. Im voting with my feet.

My second favorite place in the city. My Chinese friend doesnt like it, because its definitely more fusion than authentic but I enjoy the Western twist. They have lots of vegan options that are well marked, and they often have vegan ice cream for desert. New menu items every season keep it interesting, but I often come back to the vegan ginger beef (mushrooms) that taste even better than the real thing!

Fun and friendly service with some seriously tasty and inventive Asian fusion cuisine. We enjoyed sharing dishes and the great drinks menu. Our second visit was also excellent. Food quality, service and value continue to shine.

Try the Drunken Noodles!

The food was excellent, but the service was pretentious, abrasive, and rushed. I would still recommend this place to anyone in the area for the food. However, I don t think I will personally return. On July 2nd 2022 at 5:45 PM* , our party of 4 all enjoyed our food. However, we were rushed from the point of being seated until we left. When we were seated, we were not told there was a limited dining time, but at every stage our server was trying to get us to move along. In the end she told us she needed the table in 10 minutes. She appeared visibly bothered by our being there. If she had a broom she would have tried to sweep us out. *Late review because I thought I posted this earlier, but it must have not gone through.

Odd Couple is consistently fantastic, rotating menu to keep things fresh, fantastic staff, the space is inviting and sleek, plus an inventive drink menu. Excellent value for your money and hands down the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the province. We have dined in, had take out, and even catering for large groups and it has always been great, always look forward to coming back!

You cant just show up and get lucky with a table. You must make a reservation. We actually were so excited to try it. Unfortunately tho, the food was not very good quality. I got sick and threw up once I reached home, something to do with the mushrooms and ginger sauce they used I guess. The waitress brought the bill right away after we took our last bite, I found that rude to some extent. Its absolutely a popular restaurant in the city, hopefully your experience would be better than ours.

Love the Odd Couple! We had them for lunch at work and it was delicious. Some of my faves were the vegan spring rolls, tomato curry, mango avocado salad, and the best of all the ginger mushrooms! Portions were great too :)

The soup was good. Other peoples meals looked good as well. Ill go back again.

We have ordered from Odd Couple for our corporate lunches many times and it s always delicious and fresh. The fried rice, mango salad, ginger mushrooms and spring rolls are a few favourites! This is such a one of a kind, local restaurant that we are so greatful to have in Saskatoon! Keep up the great work :)

I visited while in town on business and out for a solo dinner. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was given several seating options with information about reservations coming in (I didn t have one) and what parts of the restaurant might get a little loud due to expected groups. Hard to ask for more. The food didn t disappoint, and once again the staff description and suggestions were spot on.

There are delicious dishes and beautiful decoration. Warm interior as well.
