One of my favorite places to go. Warm and inviting. Great combination of Interesting beer and normal beer. Tacos are amazing and hard not to have then attending.

Food wasnt bad, beer was good! My main complaint is the automatic 20% tip added to the bill when I walked up to the counter to order. And then was asked for a further tip on the debit machine on top of that. We walk up to the counter to order, get our own water from the fridge, at that point I hadnt received any service to base a tip on. Just add 20% to the prices on the menu instead of a surprise additional cost when you go to pay, just left a bad taste in my mouth, likely wont return.

This is the best tacos and burritos in the Province I am sure of it. 10/10 every time. I dont know what kind of witchcraft their doing in that kitchen, but I could eat their food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

A unique concept in community seating. We experienced thus on a trip to Europe and it works beautifully there. Here in Sask though it has been a hard sell for any place that has tried it. Its nice to see it working here at Shelter. Wd need more of it. Good beers, super friendly staff and a great friendly atmosphere. We will be back.

Came here for my mom s birthday. The food we ordered was delicious, we had the chips with guac + salsa fresca, quesa birria tacos. It was to die for. Staff was awesome, friendly and checked on us often. Cool atmosphere, very well decorated. Looking forward to next time.

Delicious food! Ordered the Birria Burrito with their hot sauce and 2 Carnitas tacos and a Papas taco. Had 2 of the Brown Ale with the meal. Service was awseome!

What a great atmosphere, friendly staff and great selection. If may not be the biggest selection but its quality! If you can, grab a table by the window. They accept card payments and cash.

Food was a 5 star Service was 1-3 stars Being the first time going there I was excited to try the birria taco however birria tacos come with a dip and these did not so it was basically just a beef taco. If you dont plan on staying more then one drink or whatever pay when you order. We had waited in line to order food, ate, had no quality check by the servers and had to wait in line AGAIN to pay. To the employees, u should notify your customers what theyre walking into cause it was infuriating to have to wait in line 2 times.

This brewery was amazing. The beer was delicious, we did the flight of four and enjoyed them all. We also got food while we were here and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. Highly recommend. Comfortable seating with booths available. Staff were very friendly with fast service. Very nice cozy atmosphere

Between the food, the amazing beer and the awesome atmosphere, this place is and will always be my favourite brewery. Bonus points because they had my favourite beer when we went there, the Dark Juniper Sour!

Great atmosphere, great beer. Food menu has expanded to include a variety of quality tacos, burritos, and bowls, even desert.

Really good tacos, Quesa birrias are my go to, reasonably-priced. Not a big selection for drinks, Crossmount cider, couple kombuchas, root beer and their beer made in house. Service is ok, very relaxed ambiance and staff, dont go if youre in a hurry. I keep coming back for the good quality food.

NEIPA & Quesabirria, all you need to know :)

Food is fantastic. Unfortunately, they ve decided that service is not needed. You now have to go stand in line at a counter to order your food and drinks. We were also the unlucky ones to get the table next to the drink fridge and order line, where other guests were infringing on our table space. Very uncomfortable. Not to mention, they then asked for a tip on the machine, unbelievable. Dylan, Cam hire some staff.

The Saison was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Had we arrived earlier, may have hit up nibbles.

Great place for a beer after work or a flight!

Shelter is my staple for tacos, I think they are the best in the city. Im not just comparing to taco fast-food chains, coming from Vancouver I use to eat at tacofino and La taquiera lots, and Ive had tacos in LA. I know my tacos is all. Anyways I strayed the other day and tried another taco place in the city. I was tempted to write a bad review, but instead decided to not bash a business and instead use that energy to commend my still favorite taco place in Saskatoon, Shelter! I wish they were on skip the dishes and wish one day they have fish tacos. Love their salsa, and craving their birria de res right now, but any of their tacos are good!

Great food but this place is understaffed. Staff seemed stressed and as a result are rude. We waited 20 mins at a table to even be acknowledged and when our waitress approached she didn t even say hi . Hire more people. Or Pay your staff more so they ll be happier

Poor service. No where to place a take out order. They don t answer their phone either.

Walking around downtown and Im so glad we stopped at Shelter! The blue Hawaiian sour was spectacular and the staff where very helpful. We where served by Mackenzie who was cheerful, knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed their job because they made sure the whole experience was wonderful. Very much so looking forward to trying more of their beers and food!

They make great beer, if you like great beer. They also have yummy tacos. Atmosphere is simple and there is a street patio. Check it out.

Cozy and quaint with a nice selection of beer. Low lighting creates a nice evening atmosphere and everyone is super friendly. Definitely recommended!

One of the few places where you can find good tacos close to the authentic . Update Dec 2022: sadly, not the same since I first had these tacos back in 2019. They removed their best flavors from the menu, no longer having Al Pastor, Chicken Tinga or Cochinita. I also miss the times where they would just give you the salsa bottles rather than the tiny container. In one occasion one of the servers refused to bring two different salsa flavors, although today they told us we could have more if we wanted. The new special is two fish tacos for $10 which I didnt have but they looked good. The carnitas tacos were too fatty where before it was mostly meat. Anyway, just little details that make them no longer the best tacos in the city. Still good, just not the best.

9.5/10. The quality of the food & beer is consistently great. Great bang for your buck. My most visited restaurant in Saskatoon.

My absolute favourite place in Saskatoon! Cozy vibes, creative and tasty brews, and the best tacos by Dylan & Cam! For a first timer, Id recommend the NEIPA paired with some tacos or the kale tostada. Shelter is the definition of a local gem - youll feel at home as soon as you arrive!

The staff are amazing, and theyve done a decent job of spreading patrons out inside to adhere to public health regs. Their beer is really good, as is the chow. They also carry spot on cider. A+ local watering hole.

Beer and vibe solid. I do have some harsh opinions on the tacos. They were good for the most part, but the carnitas (at least on the day I got them) were way too salty. As for the salsas, theyre sad. Im not a fan of super spicy food, but the mild one tasted like salt with a hint of avocado and their medium was so mild a baby with GI issues could eat it by the spoonful. So close, yet so far.

First time visiting Shelter Brewing. The Server was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the different types of beer. The beer was absolutely amazing, some of the best tasting Saskatchewan beer that I have ever had! The food was also incredibly tasty! I would 100% reccomend this place and will be returning!

Great beer, the gose, was what I tried this time and it tasted great! The outdoor patio was also really nice in the sun. They had people social distanced well and the service was great. I didnt eat food this time bit in the past their tacos have been great! Would definitely go again!

Simple and clean design. Amazing for casual dining or fun nights of different beer tasting. The tacos are phenomenal and I find myself here usually once a week. By far my top choice for tacos and beer. Highly recommend.

One of my absolute favorite local craft breweries! This place turned a cosmopolitan martini and wine sipping woman into a BEER drinker!! They make awesome beer, have fun flavors and they even have amazing food with Dylan and Cams tacos! I highly recommend this place, the staff is AMAZING! Always friendly and seem to take pride in the products they serve and the in the service the provide. Just go check it out and see for yourself, and if you are not into sitting in, they have beer TO GO!! Check this place out, you wont regret it :)

Great beer awesome food

I went there with my mexican friend and we both thought the tacos were awesome. The burritos are pretty filling and yummy too. I suggest getting all the sauces and trying each (dont think about in terms of spice, theyre just different sauces and so different experiences).

Really nice craft brewery and bar in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. The location is very clean with plenty of seating for parties big and small. Staff was pleasant and attentive. The beer is very fresh and each have their individual appeals. The do sell their beer canned if you choose to grab some to take home. Honey Dew Sour Wit is definitely an awesome and unique beer. Overall, highly recommend giving this place a shot.

You cant go wring with this great local craft brewery. They dont have the biggest selection, but the beers they do stock are real local gems - I especially enjoyed their sours! The server also had a lot of recommendations to offer, which turned out to be just what we were looking for. Overall, a great place to grab a beer with your friends in a central location.

Best El Pastor I ve ever had. Great vegan options and fun vibe. Not what I expected to find in Saskatoon but so delighted to have found it.

Had the birria, carnitas, and al pastor tacos, along with the chips and guacamole. The tacos were tasty, but the meat a bit dry. Chips and guac were awesome, as well as the selection of hot sauces!

If you are looking for Mexican food in Saskatoon, it is a very good option to try their birria tacos with consommé, it is delicious and not to mention the pozole, you will fall in love with it, the closest thing to Mexican food. In general, the complete menu is delicious. I have also tried their tacos de carnitas And Im amazed

Beers are great. Tried just about every kind in the 2 times that I have been here. Tacos are fantastic. I really loved the burritos. For 10.50 they are a bit more filling than the tacos and I find they had a bit more flavor due to the guacamole that is in them along with the sauces. The guacamole is done well here. The hot sauce in the burritos isnt over powering either which is good and added some but if you arent a spicy fanatic you may want to go for the medium to be on the safe side. Service has been good both times I have been here.

My favourite place in town! Incredible and creative craft beer made in-house, super kind owners and staff, and a fantastic atmosphere. Brown ale, New England Hazy Orange IPA, West Coast IPA, Gruit Ale, sours, ciders.. they do it all! Always a stacked beer list with rotating taps of new kinds they make. The tacos and snacks are great too. Wednesday night is the cheap taco and beer night, so it s a bit busier on Wednesdays. Will update with better photos soon! Also, know that they do not underpour their beers. I just couldn t resist taking a few sips before snapping my photos

We had a good experience with the staff, friendly and engaging. Taco were tasty and great beers whats not to like. I liked Jack 2 point zero.

In the time of social distancing, they delivered amazing beer and fantastic burrito bowls. One of my favourite breweries around, and it is more important now to support them! Great work on the amazing beer and fantastic service!

best spot in town for a pint. tacos are always good. they frequently have new beers so you can always go back and try something different, or just go drink the NEIPA every damn time, cause it is just that good.

Really friendly on the ball staff, food was perfect and priced well. Enjoyed 3 different tacos priced at $3 a piece so you can mix and match.

Spent a weekend in Saskatoon. I was trying to find good local beer to no avail. Shelter was the last brewery I tried and I really wish it was the first. Of the breweries I was able to sample from Shelter was miles ahead of any others. And all the tacos I tried were great!

Huge chips portions, which was surprising as it is not very expensive. Salsa was very hot, but they give a huge portion of Guacamole if you go for that. Beer was good, service was ok, but the place was very quiet, which was a bit depressing for a Saturday night.

I hesitate to leave this review in attempt to keep Shelter Saskatoons little secret. This is my husbands favorite brewery and my favorite place to eat. We love what Shelter has built with Dylan & Cam! The atmosphere, the service (every single employee is so friendly), the beer (the cider for me), the value, the patio, the guac and so much more keeps us going back!
