Bon Temps Cafe in Saskatoon

We had our first visit last night and were super excited by how beautiful the restaurant is decorated, but that is where the pleasantries ended. Our server was very rude, as if we had insulted her by simply showing up. She was short and crass the whole time, while other staff were pleasant to their tables. She seemed weirded out that we wanted to order appetizers and entrees and made us feel like we were not welcome. She treated her other tables the same. The food was subpar. The ribs were decent but the seafood creole was boring and the crayfish was rotten. It is a place where you want to eat with your eyes only.

Pecan crusted salmon and chicken and waffles were so good and our waitress enhanced the whole experience!

Very rude staff, not properly prepared for a reservation. Made us feel uncomfortable. We ended up leaving the party we were suppose to attend and eating somewhere else. Would not recommend to anyone. They could have handled it way better.

Great food and atmosphere, and lovely service. I invited my lab to their Cajun crawfish boil, and we all had a blast. what a feast! Kid-friendliness: Kids need to leave after 8 PM, but the service staff were amazing with our little ones.

It is very hit and miss with service at this place . And last time I ordered a specific order that had crawfish in it I got home to only find one inside my whole order ! ( This place is not cheap ) So I was extremely disappointed and currently only go for the crash oysters and drinks

I love everything about this place. Ive been here many times and have never had one complaint. The food is the best, every single server Ive had was always amazing, and the atmosphere is just perfect.

We have been here twice and both times we had the kind of service that makes you think, what is my tip even for? The hostess said she would be right back and then ignored us for 10 minutes (it was very awkward because she still came out and made eye contact with us and other people were lined up behind us). The second time we were served starters with no plates, cutlery, or napkins. I knocked my drink over trying to keep the dripping food on the shared appetizer plate and was charged for the replacement. The service is the definition of bare minimum. The food was also not good.

Has Bon Temps in Saskatoon gone through an ownership change recently. It has been my favorite restaurant until this past Friday. It started when the server dropped a wine glass and had the manager clean it up. Our gumbo soup was devoid of sausage or chicken. We then waited in excess of an hour for our main dish - jambalaya to arrive without seeing hide or hair of our server. When it did arrive the corn cob was only warm on one side [from sitting under the heat lamp] and the sausage in the jambalaya was cooked to a crisp, impossible to cut through let alone trying to digest it. Any idea what has happened at Bon Temps? I know we will NOT be going back any time soon.

Enjoyed our 25th anniversary dinner very much. The food was amazing, portions are generous and the price is super reasonable. Our server Connor was delightful, attentive, and friendly. Will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Visited 6 years ago. Excellent service. Food. Atmosphere. I thought I left a review but I didnt. This time not so great. My wife ordered the tacos and asked for them not to be very spicy. They were spicy. I ordered the burger with beef patties (theres not too many choices if you want a burger) It was just ok for a 22.00 burger with one side. The beef patty was over cooked, actually burnt plus due to being over cooked, it shrunk. Generally youd like to see the patty be as wide as the bun, the patty was about a 1/2 on the inside surrounding the bun. The host was ok although she sat us in what I would call the porch of the restaurant of which totally lacks atmosphere. We asked to be moved The woman who moved us seemed irritated. I attempted a conversation and to be jovial...didnt help. She was irritated. Our waitress was excellent, attentive and professional. She is not the reason for this poor review. Likely wont be back as there appears to be some nice choices restaurants on 2nd since our last visit to Saskatoon.

Interesting place to go. Great service and atmosphere. The hurricane was my favorite drink. The food smelled great but not good for people who arent good with spices.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. Saw it on the food network, and it was well worth the trip, the French toast is to die for. *edit* We went back to bon temps, and unfortunately they now serve frozen chicken that is less than half the size that it used to be, and severely overcooked. Once a staple for us to come to whenever we were in Saskatoon, now I might not bother again.

Do not go here expecting Cajun or Louisiana food. Nothing is cooked the way it would be in Louisiana and the seasoning is completely wrong.

Great food, but so spicy! Was not expecting my mashed potatoes to be spicy.

I ordered Sea food boil 3times spent over 140$ and it was given to me raw. I had guest at home so that 1star is not making justice.... I wouldnt mind cooking it but it was so watery and unsalted and not seasoned well. Hate to say it, all the staff was there and nobody said nothing.

Amazing experience! Our server, Macy was 10/10 absolutely exemplary. Drinks stayed flowing and food was delicious. The sangria and mud pie is an absolute must try!

your taste buds take a vacation and your stomach becomes a permanent resident! This place is so good, its like a foodies version of Disneyland every bite is a thrilling ride, and the only lines youll wait in are the ones to get seconds. The Cajun flavors are so authentic, theyll have you saying yeehaw in a French accent. Just be warned: once you try their gumbo, youll start measuring time in days until I can go back to Bon Temps.

Nice place! Got a plant based portobello burger here, it was very well thought out and super tasty. Definitely a nice place to come back to.

Place is beautiful service was slow and the food was over cooked couldn t even finish it we waited 45 min for a drink food was very basic it looks good but the taste isn t a wow kinda a waste of money 150 for food I didn t even want to eat

Would have been an absolutely amazing night out but for some reason our server couldnt handle it and we ended up getting our food before our drinks and our appetizer and the other waitresses that were working there were absolutely amazing. Got us all we needed. It just happened to be the one waitress we had wasnt very good and turns out she was leaving to go to another restaurant

Not a great experience. Waited 45 minutes for our 1st drink and after asking our server if it was coming she was rude with us. The food took a really long time to come out and about another 45 minutes from the time we asked for the bill until we could actually pay.

Ill start by saying Ive been here three times. I enjoy the food very much (if you dont want to read about the full experience and want good food even if you risk meh service... Just go because the food is amazing). The first time I went I got the peacemaker poboy w/mac and cheese but I think they mixed things up and gave me something different. Wasnt mad about it because whatever I got was also delicious and Im not a picky eater. The second time I went was for my birthday. My partner booked us and two friends the boil as a surprise (quite a while in advance). My birthday is in December and it was packed between other patrons and two holiday parties. Although we had a reservation the staff seemed unsure of what to do with us when we arrived and stuck us at a very tiny table that they pulled from elsewhere right next to the door. It was so cold with so many people coming and going we had to request a space heater (which broke). It then seemed like they completely forgot that we booked the boil because we were asked if we were ready to order. Then it was a mad dash to change the table setting to prepare. We now think that our boil wasnt prepared properly because after a recent visit we noticed that another tables boil smelled so much more seasoned than the one we had that night. Supper took so long my partner had to cancel the remainder of the plans for the evening. We got a round of complimentary drinks but by the end I was so cold and miserable from the whole experience I declined my complimentary dessert and wanted to go home. We went again this past Thursday night. There was one table who got a boil and maybe two or three other tables. Not super busy. This is where I realized the first time I did not get a peacemaker poboy the first time because I ordered it again and it was completely different (although delicious). Our server, however, I hope she was new because the service was terrible. Long waits while they focused on the table who got the boil. My partners drink was empty for half the meal and never offered to be refilled and then when I finally asked for more water it never arrived. She didnt even know what the dessert special was even when she came to our table to ask if we wanted dessert. Also I was really excited about the cucumber salad but they didnt have any. Which I understand happens but I was bummed nonetheless. Overall I will say maybe Ive just had terrible luck because others seem to have amazing experiences and the food is outstanding. Like. Really freakin good. Except the side slaw. Unless I got a meh batch but it wasnt worth it. Get the mac and cheese.

Must try the chicken and sausage gumbo as a side. Excellent! I will be back to try other items.

Delicious blackened chicken

Good food but can be expensive.

Service was excellent, lemonade was absolutely delicious. Beware of the spice on the food, as it is a Cajun style restaurant, other than that it was mostly tasty. Free milk! (At least for us that cant handle the spicy power) The fried chicken was Supa crispy wasnt quite to my liking but it did say it was crispy. The black berrys (garnish) for the blackberry lemonade was not good, drink itself amazing. Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp into the restaurant

Made eye contact with no less than 4 staff and still waited 10 minutes to be seated (there was a company party going on so Ill cut them some slack there). Food is delicious, but over priced for what you get, so plan to hit a mickey ds on the way home.

I had the brisket with fancy mashed potatoes. Food was good and service was great. 8/10 would recommend.

Visited Bon Temp with some friends and 3 out of the 4 of us there were disappointed. For the price you pay to eat here, you would expect a little more from their food. The mashed potatoes were dreadful and honestly the only thing that would have me returning is the ambiance and drinks.

Great food and service! Would definitely come back again. This was our third attempt to get in. It seems like its either full, or not open. We had the jambalaya, blackened chicken sandwich with cucumber salad, and brisket po boy. We were all impressed. I also recommend getting the jambalaya baked in cheese. I never thought it would be a good combination, but they proved me wrong.

This was the first time we went to Bon Temps. The food was amazing!! We had ordered the Peacemaker Po Boy and my goodness the gravy dip was so packed with flavour - despite the messy meeting I personally really enjoyed it with the Cajun fries! We also ordered the Blackened chicken, colonel bobs buttermilk chicken & the Fire Bird which were filled with raving reviews from my colleagues. Although For the drinks we had the chaser and the Espresso Martini and we felt it was a bit watered down that we couldn t enjoy it. All in All we were much satisfied with the food and even the budget spent here.

I would like the owner to contact me. Unfortunately, their issue is all staff.

It was very good and the atmosphere is great.

This is as close to New Orleans as you can get in Saskatoon. This restaurant is very dark, moody and atmospheric with some very on-brand, voo-doo style art. The staff were excellent and helpful. I had gumbo, crab cakes and beignets. The gumbo and crab cakes were good, but it was the beignets that really reminded me of being to New Orleans. They were quite a bit larger than what you would get down south, but the texture and taste were bang on. Would come back again.

Food was decent, Ordered the brisket... they gave us pot roast disguised as brisket. Not sure who they are fooling with this lol

One of the best restaurants in saskatoon

Booked a reservation for 5:30 for a group of 10..didnt end up receiving our food until 7...not very good service, many times our group had to walk up to the bar for drinks after ordering them and waiting 15 mins without receiving them... The food (boil) was horrible, everything was overcooked and bland...there is so many other fantastic restaurants in Saskatoon worth visiting definitely would not recommend this place to anyone

Had high hopes for this restaurant however it was a let down. We ordered the country boil and waited over an hour for our food. Everything was dry, too spicy and overcooked. The sausage was burnt. Finished two glasses of water trying to swallow the food. The crawfish had a weird smell. Our server was nice however and kept apologizing for the wait which I doubt was her fault. Wouldn t recommend.

Average. Shrimp overcooked, service not very good. Not the flavor packed experience one would hope for.

From what everyone was saying about this place I was expecting a pretty good meal. What I got did not at all reflect the reviews. Maybe just an off day? But overall I do feel sick from that. Thanks for the managers accomodation, I guess it just wasnt a good day to drop in

Wether you are wanting to try something new, going on a foodie tour of Saskatoon, whatever the reason- Do. Not. Stop. Here. The bad outweighs the good. Do not waste your hard earned money figuring it out! First clue should have been how empty the place was- two other people. The Cajun aspect of the food deeply misrepresented, the food sub par at best. The food was cold in some places and just warm enough in others in both our entree s. The corn on the cob was cold.The biscuit was hard and dry. The seafood in the boil was a miss. Some clams were empty. We let the server know we were not happy with the meal. They gave us a very small discount on the seafood boil. Seems like a cash grab instead of fair customer service- possibly because the restaurant seems to be suffering; We left unsatisfied and hungry after spending $100+. Wish I had looked deeper into just how many 1 a star reviews there are- the common denominator is the restaurant.

We were seated and our order was not taken for half an hour, tables right next to us that came later were helped 20 minutes ahead of us, and only because they ordered while sitting down (they also didn t get cutlery with their food and nobody came for 10 minutes). Was not busy but food came very slowly. Ordered the cheese spread and it only came with enough bread for 10% of it. Asked for extra bread, not free and took 40 minutes to get after asking for it twice, it eventually came after we ate our entrees. One entree was also incorrect. Didn t complain, probably should have. They comped only the bread refill that we didn t eat as the cheese dip had gone hard. So they comped $1.50. To top it off, the food (creole pasta and fried steak) was a solid 3/10.

Burger was pretty bad, seafood was acceptable but nothing special. Service was decent with a few slightly longer waits. Waitress was sympathetic and offered to get burger remade which was appreciated if I had the time. Might try again in a year or two.

This was a horrible food experience. We not only waited 1.5 hours for our food, it was cold when it arrived. We were so hungry when we arrived at the restaurant. I ordered the seafood boil and was so disappointed by the entire meal. My entire plate was mostly cold with some warm spots. Nothing tasted good. Biscuits were hard and dry. Left with most of the food still on my plate. We let them know about all the issues we had from a new sever not putting in our meal and waiting 1.5 hours, to cold bad food and they have a small discount. However, this was a complete fail for spending $100+ on a meal. Please avoid disappointment & give your money to another restaurant ..

Food was great, just didnt know about appetizers only after 9 and was disappointed. It communication could have been a little more clear when we sat down that menus are online only. Delish mudpie...the best I ever had!!

I dont even know where to start.. This Cafe has a vibe like none other. From the moment we walked in (8:15pm) there is such a wow factor from the layout, the lighting, the VIBE. We got sat near the front door which most people would say no to buy we noticed that they had opening garage doors. We asked them to open it as it was a BEAUTIFUL evening and of course they jumped up and opened it for us. The fresh air, our waitress Shauna (coolest human alive), the random little convos with people walking by, THE FOOD...omg the food. Everything was so good. The drinks are made with love and every sip is an experience HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Worst experience I ve had at a restaurant. Waited over an hour for our food after we ordered and nothing came. We had our one drink and no one came back to check on us. We ended up walking up to the bar to advise we were leaving and asked for our tab.

The food here was amazing! Shawna was an excellent server and gave wonderful recommendations. We were there for their happy hour specials. We ordered the double lime margarita, the burbon lemonade and the hurricane cocktails. We had the cup of gumbo, zombie fingers, shrimp brushetta, hush puppies with honey, pile obones, crab cakes, mussels and bang bang shrimp. Our favourites were the crab cakes and shrimp brushetta but everything was delicious. We finished off with the dessert special; peanut butter pie. This place far exceeded our expectations and we were very excited when we walked in. We will return to try more.

Saskatoon has many great dining spots, and Bon Temps currently holds first place for me. It has quickly become the first option for date nights for me and my partner. The atmosphere is unbeatable - lively yet cozy. The food is - I had mussels (white wine & butter) for the first time at Bon Temps and fell in love with mussels as a result. Their seafood boils are to die for, as well.

Ive always liked the variety and portion sizes available at bon temps, its worth going to if you can handle a little bit more spice than normal! The blackened chicken is a crowd pleaser, and the burgers are a fairly reasonable size and price. You can also get Mac and cheese as a side dish for no extra cost that is extremely delicious! Highly recommend!

Got the boil. Huge miss. Bland, overcooked. Food took a very long time to come to table. Half an hour to get the soup starter, then another half hour to get the boil. Asked for drink refills and even those took 15 minutes. Restaurant was not busy, less than 50% filled at peak dinner time on a Friday. Not recommended, at least for the boil. Likely will not go back to try other dishes.

We are from out of town and were visiting friends and they highly recommended this restaurant. The food was ok but the staff was the best. I tried their sampler platter and didnt love the food but I strongly believe it might just be my tastes. The chicken was semi-soggy and not very flavourful. The ribs were ok. Somewhat disappointed after spending over $200 for 4 of us. Might be worth another shot though but might try something else instead.

This made for a great evening out while visiting with friends.

The food was ok. I ordered the jambalaya and did not like it. Im not sure what I was expecting, but coming from the South, that wasnt it. Everyone else in my group enjoyed their food. The blackened salmon was really good, and the Mac and cheese was good as well. Drinks were ok, in my opinion. I love sweet cocktails, and what the waiter recommended as sweet was not it. However, I noticed their cocktails have a lot of bitters in them. If you love bitters, then this place is for you. Also, we ordered the sangria, and it was also just ok. However, the servers were friendly, and they were very professional and respectful. Although I didnt enjoy what I ordered, I am willing to revisit and try something else because of the service. Kid-friendliness: They only had Mac and cheese for the kiddos so if your little one isnt into spicy or more complex food. It may be hard to find something for them here.

Family get together here was fantastic! Hurricanes were refreshing and yum. Food was very good and worth the wait. It was very busy but our waitress stayed on top of things. She went above and beyond for everyone. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Saskatoon.

THE SPICE BOIL!!!! OMG! The Hype does not even do it justice!!! Service was amazing and the whole evening was just so much fun and unique!

We had charcuterie and pile o bone for our cocktail, and it was fantastic. Place is really good, the service is perfect. Staff are amazing, especially Kaitlin, who is so very entertaining and well knowledge about their products. Would love to come back. We had a great afternoon with them.

The server Halle was amazing, great customer service, warm personality, fast attentive worker. My boyfriend and I got the seafood boil and it was not how I expected. It was half the portion I was expecting, there was no seasoning to any of the seafood, it tasted watered down and fresh out of the freezer. The only flavourful thing was the sausage that was burnt to a crisp. Was not worth $45 dollars. Customer service was great but we left very disappointed

Excellent experience. We had the starter sampler, the fire bird, and the fried chicken. Portions are generous and the cocktails were very nice! (Black and gold, espresso martini, and a nice bartenders choice craft cocktail)

Ive heard good things, but our service was terrible and food arrived lukewarm. It had good flavour, but cant really say much since it wasnt hot. Server tried to charge an extra 20 for tip even after already being tipped 30%, so that was the biggest issue because she didnt even apologize to the guy she almost stole 20 from. Gonna give it another go to try the Land and Sea boil though.

I love coming here whenever I am in town. The service is always great and the staff are always friendly. The food and cocktails are delicious and the hot, fresh beignets are the best way to finish a meal. The decor and vibe is very cool.

Okay/good overall. Good vibes and atmosphere. Stars decrease due to service. First of all, the pop was very watery. I ordered a diet coke and told the server it may need more syrup in their machine and her response was weve been getting that a lot lately. Must be something in the line (was later on still charged for the pop that was returned and clearly and issue for other people as well). Our meals were great. I got brisket and my boyfriend got fried steak. We both had coctails. Next disappointment was when we ordered the mud pie dessert and it took over 30 minutes to come with no communication about it from our server. No check in to say what was taking so long. Nothing. The mud pie tasted okay. Not super flavourful. I would have rated 4/5 if the service was better but because it was pretty subpar, giving this rating a 3/5. It was busy, but by the time we ordered dessert it cleared out. Your server can really make or break your dining experience. Unfortunately, even with the dessert not amazing, this rating could have been higher if we had a better server. Pretty expensive meal for only a 3/5 rating. Not sure if we will come back to be completely honest. Saskatoon has many other restaurants with great food and great service.

Wonderful appetizers

Took 15 minutes for the waitress to come take our drink and food orders, restaurant was pretty much empty. Her ongoing service was not very good either. However, the food and cocktails were incredible. Would definitely return.

Waiter got the apatizer order wrong, forgot to put in the drink order and then he got that wrong, got the main for one wrong. Almost 2 hours to eat, and for creole pretty bland. Not horrible but not 4 star and really terrible service.

Food is dynamite. I went with a group of 15. Everyone raved about their meals. Macy, our server was sassy, and made the experience even more worthwhile. Great ambience. You can t go wrong!

Food is good. Interior architecture of the restaurant is better than most in the city. Would give the restaurant at 5 out of 5 star if they could improve on the newspaper underlay for their food. Please like this review

Never disappoint.

The pork had bad taste and smelly and we returned it. My salad was tasty but the chicken on top of it was too small little pieces . Its nice place for drinking not eating

We ordered take out. We had the blacken chicken burger, crab cakes, and shrimp breschetta. Everything was good, but didnt realize the habsnaro peppers were in the ordered. It was a little hot for us, but still good.

Not everything here is authentic. Jambalaya is one of them. They have a long way to go on that. No chicken found, sausage?? Meat was cut size of pea. Shrimp is an additional cost. Tastes like spaghetti sauce used and topped with salsa. Long way to go to make it right. Not a friendly place if your a senior or child. You can only getmenu from a QR code. More seniors have basic flip phones, not able to get the code. Waitress was very condescending and not flexible at all. I saw several kids sitting on laps, no highchair or booster avail. Note to self, def geared to young adults. Food mediocre.

The food was pretty good for taste but parts of it were kind of cold when we expected it to be heated. It was as if some plates sat too long waiting for another plate to be finished so they could be brought out together. The server was a little standoffish when we informed them about this and didnt really offer any remedy or discount.

Thursdays Shrimp specials were fabulously delicious! My favourite was the fantastic Bang Bang Shrimp with Sriracha. Very worthwhile!

This place is a must go, I have been here 3 times now and I have not been disappointed. The food is over the top, I have had at least 6 different drinks here and everyone has been made perfect. The staff was helpful with the menu and were very friendly.

If you get the 10 for $10 shrimp deal make sure you count because both times I have been here (January 2022 and May 2022) instead of getting 10 I received 9 - I dont believe in coincidences so the fact it has happened twice says to me this is something they do intentionally to save a few bucks. When I pointed it out they bought out the missing - but still, doesnt make it right.

Delicious food, good atmosphere, great cocktails. I would avoid sitting on the bench seats though, pas comfortable.

My wife and I have twice been to this restaurant. On both occasions we were turned away and never even got a chance to sample the menu. Despite being open and within the normal business hours we were told on the first occasion that the grill was under maintenance and had been shut down for the night. On the second occasion we were told it wasnt busy enough so they were closing the restaurant. Let that sink in, they werent busy enough so they turned away paying customers. They turned away another gentlemen after us as well. Not sure I even want to go back to see what their food is like if this is the level of customer service you receive.

We always have excellent service here. The drinks are all on point and the food is great. I love the atmosphere and is always a great place to go for a good sit down meal.

Came here because it was a long time favorite and we wanted a treat because its pride and we are from out of town. We were sat down quickly and fed water and then completely abandoned. We both finished our waters over 15 mins of being conpletely ignored. I booked a reservation for another restaurant while we were waiti.g for service and we left... like what!?! Guess we wont be back

Came here with a group of 10 tonight for my friends birthday, wanted it to be special! Waitress seemed extremely bothered by our presence, when we told her at the door there may be 11 people she glared at us and said fine. Seemed fine for the first little while, she took food and drink orders everything went well. After about half an hour she seemed very angry we were still there and wanted more drinks. All of us racked up at least $40 bills and work in the service industry so we are understanding of bad nights and busy servers that are overwhelmed. Once we felt completely uncomfortable being there anymore or ordering anything else we decided to leave, when giving us our bills she said I don t care if the bills are messed up I m not changing anything. Food and drinks tasted fantastic, service made all of us very uncomfortable sadly :( wish I could say it was better.

Food was flavorless and expensive. I would recommend another place like the cave.

The place for creole in Saskatoon. The interior is very unique with an eclectic modern spin on the roaring twenties. The servers were warm and friendly and the food was tasty and authentic. A must see if you are a foody. Will be back.

Vegetarian options: They had mushroom burger that sounded delicious . When we go back I want to try that. Am not a vegetarian Dietary restrictions: Have older parents and in laws, with restrictions so it was good for everyone

My husband and I have been here before and it was good, but this time it was not good, food was tasteless (my husband loves shrimp and he did even eat half of them) and my chicken was raw, and the waitress didnt come back to see how the food was and the restaurant was empty (with only 3 other tables) and when she came to clean off the table she asked if I wanted to take our full plates of food home and we said no, she looked at the food funny and then didnt even ask if there was anything wrong with the food. Besides that the service was ok. But we will not be back.

Good atmosphere, service was decent but they did not have enough experienced hosts. Food was average at best. Fried chicken was oily and undercooked. Cajun decor was good.

We made reservations to dine in the this restaurant. When we arrived the host said to us that it was going to take an hour and a half for our meals. We where finally seated and informed that they where out of burgers and scallops. She took our drink order and when she came back said they where out of Caesar salad and crawfish. The reason we picked this place was for having some Cajun seafood. A few Minutes later we where told that they had a party of 25 coming and that is why it would take so long for our food. Not sure if I would ever return to this place. Seems a bit unorganized. At least they could of mentioned the 25 people coming when we book our reservations. Wouldn t recommend going without confirming that they actually have food to serve their customers. We didn t order anything and left the restaurant.

The food was really great and the service was efficient even with a staff change in the middle but it was FREEZING. It might have been me but I felt a cold breeze all night and asked for coffee to warm up, so I suggest if you get cold easily to dress warm.

Blackened Salmon was delicious and drinks were mixed well.

Great atmosphere and tasty food. Our waitress was either really new or having a really off night which is the only reason for a lost star. Came in for dinner on Saturday night, no wait to get a table for two. We were seated right away and were shortly greeted by a waitress who identified herself as not our waitress but offered to put in drinks for us. I guess our waitress saw this and brought us water right away. When we asked for food suggestions as it being our first time, our waitress had to call over another one to make suggestions. When we asked out substituting potatoes for a salad, our waitress again had to go check with someone. Same thing when we asked what the dresser special was (it was just pie that they were out of by 7pm). The food we had was excellent! I had the boil which was full of excellent seafood and delicious jambalaya. The donuts were an excellent dessert choice but the mud pie was disappointing. It was clear these are made ahead and warmed but ours was not warmed enough to melt the middle. Regardless, I would be more than happy to come back again in hopes the service is a bit better!

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight Had the Oysters Bienville- awesome Then the Muffaletta sandwich with a side of gumbo The Muffaletta had all the New Orleans flavors The gumbo was very good, just needed a little more heat for me but they have a great selection of hot sauces to solve that Staff was awesome, service was great Great Burbon selection

Very impressed with our meals

Went in with a table of 10 and was told gratuity was going to be 18%, that was ok, but you would expect service to at least be good. We waited about 20 minutes until we got our order taken, both drinks and food, about another 15 minutes to get our drinks, and another 30 for food. Starters came out at the same time as the main course, 2 orders were wrong, and 2 peoples orders werent even put into the system, so they had to wait another 20 minutes for their meal. Then we were abandoned for about an hour (with only 3 other small groups inside) and got our bills. Worst service that I have ever experienced. The food was good but I wont bother going again and wouldnt recommend it.

I place a pick up order online. Get to the restaurant and I m asked are you sure you ordered?? From bon temps?? Told that they never received my order and that online ordering is turned off due to being overly busy. I have confirmations with numbers yet no food. Have to stand around waiting while they prepare it all. Not offered a place to sit nor any kind of compensation for theirrr mishap. Still yet, after waiting for my order for 15+ minutes you can still order online from their website? Hopefully they don t make anyone else feel stupid and confused about where they actually ordered from.

So beautiful gotta come back for more drinks and food. Such a beautiful place to eat and absolutely fantastic staff.

I had a work group in from Toronto and when it came to selecting a place to go for dinner in Saskatoon tonight I am sooo happy Bon Temps came to mind. The service was great, food was delicious, drinks were fresh, and my customers were super happy with their experience! Thank you Bon Temps for helping Saskatoon shine!

Quit reading reviews and go eat here! The flavours of Bon Temps are unreal and can t be captured by an image. We started with the sampler of crab cakes, bone-in ribs, and Hushpuppies and then moved on to the shrimp etoufee and blackened chicken. The food is clearly homemade with care and the layers upon layers of flavour are unmatched in Saskatoon.

Really yummy cocktails. The charcuterie board was good! Only complaint is that it is pretty expensive.
