LOVE it here! Intentional food - the flavour, plating, ambience. The menu choices, down to the dessert, is art. Very happy and will keep coming back.
We had our staff Christmas party at St. Tropez. Cher was wonderful to deal with prior to the event, and throughout we were very well cared for by the delightful Sam. Food was great - shoutout to the lamb and the spinach balls which were the favorites. Anyone with a unique dietary need was quietly and well cared for. Thank you for creating a wonderful time!
Sweet little restaurant in downtown Saskatoon. Food was simple but incredibly delicious, reasonably priced and arrived quickly. Atmosphere was pleasant and waitress was friendly. Washroom was clean. I would definitely return!
Very tasty but the portion sizes were very small, especially for the price. Had the pickerel – four bites, but as said, very tasty – and the pave, which was about a quarter inch thick. Again, super tasty, but left wanting more. Not a restaurant for someone looking for a filling meal. But tasty!
First visit at St. Tropez Bistro and it was a hit! For appetizers, the buns had a slight sweet taste to them and were accompanied by lemon and garlic butter. The spinach balls had such a unique flavour, they were served with dill and oil that not only looked so wonderful, it complimented the spinach balls perfectly! I'm not usually one for mushrooms but with that being said, the mushroom tartlets tasted great and they were served with a balsamic glaze. For entrees, the bison ribs (meat fell right off the bone) were served with fresh veggies and mashed potatoes. The gnocchi had chopped almonds which gave it a nice crunch! For dessert, lavender honey lemon posset, pave de chocolat and homemade ice cream! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! If I had to pick something from each course though, I would give it to the spinach balls, gnocchi and pave! I joked with the server that I wish I could have a bag of those spinach balls and eat them like chips! The server was very friendly and efficient, always coming by to refill drinks. The food was served in a timely manner but by no means rushed! Ambience was very nice too! I didn't know until yesterday that St. Tropez Bistro and Parlour are owned by the same person and operate with the same kitchen! Would absolutely reccomend and plan to return!
Hidden gem in Saskatoon - I tend to forget how good this place it! We had the crispy tofu for an appetizers and the bison short ribs and gnocchi for main course. All was delicious!
This is such a well hidden gem in the city. The atmosphere is so quaint and intimate, and the food and service simply outstanding. This would be a fantastic date night spot, or I would even book the private room for a special occasion. Really amazing place and very impressive experience and food for the cost. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!!!
Food and service were as good as we remembered from years before. We started with charcuterie and carpaccio ~ $20 each. Then the Bison short ribs and Lamb shoulder ~ $45 each (both were amazing!) and finished with a chocolate pave $12. Also had a couple of cocktails and a bottle of merlot (excellent) recommended by our server from their extensive wine list. Highly recommend, especially for anniversaries, etc.
Excellent meal
Food and service was top notch. Our waitress, Maddie, was on of the best we ve ever had. She was absolutely delightful. Highly recommended.
Amazing food - got the mackerel and it was delicious with fresh sides. Very farm to table. Our server was absolutely a dream - very knowledge and great conversation. The vibe in the restaurant was chill and unique.
Food was great, service level is top notch. Good for a business meeting, not loud at all. Great ambience.
A lovely little restaurant with some interesting choices. The spinach balls are great. My wife had the chicken and I had the duck, both were great and came with carrots and squash (not listed) that were delicious. The chocolate pave was also amazing.
Group of 5 people. For appetizers we ordered the prawns, mushroom tarts, and spinach balls to share. Collectively we tried the duck, lamb, and bison entrées. We also ordered several desserts, two bottles of wine, and some aperitifs. Everyone was very happy with their meal. Service felt a little disjointed. No real problems arose, but the servers seemed rushed, so perhaps they were under-staffed. Expensive, but for a fine dining experience its as good of value or better than any other restaurant in the province. We will most certainly be going back.
Absolutely delicious, my in-laws were VERY impressed, theyre experienced restaurant goers in Canada and Europe. Stellar.
Incredible experience, and incredible gnocchi! A perfect restaurant for when you want to be able to hear the people at your table, lol. Vegetarian options: The gnocchi is vegetarian, and there are lots of other vegetarian options.
This was my first experience at this wonderful restaurant. The staff and owner were fantastic and we enjoyed learning about the history of St. Tropez Bistro from them almost as much as the food itself. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys great food and an overall great experience.
came here for a three course meal and some drinks with my boyfriend. such a lovely little place! great service and even more delicious food. easily my favourite meal i ve ever had at a restaurant. the tourtiere was top notch, and the lime and thyme sorbet was deliciouuuussss. such a cozy and romantic environment. very friendly staff. will definitely be back!! was only about $200 for a three course meal and a drink or two for two people. simply lovely. definitely make a reservation. place is tiny but that s what makes it so cozy and private feeling. Dietary restrictions: i have quite a few dietary restrictions and st tropez was very accommodating. they recommend calling in advance about dietary restrictions. please do!
Always a great experience from beginning to end! Thanks again, St. Tropez for another amazing night of food and wine!
Hidden gem! We visited St. Tropez Bistro on a Saturday evening and enjoyed the four-course meal. The food was wonderful, as was the wine and service. The atmosphere was very inviting, and we were able to enjoy conversations with our friends in the packed restaurant without having to shout (which is a huge plus when youre spending a few hours catching up over a meal). Cant believe Ive never been before! This is my new favourite Saskatoon restaurant.
Met Jason Owner operator What a gentleman in every way Food was great service was equal. A must try in Saskatoon Food : 5/5
This place has an amazing atmosphere that is clean and calming. Both upstairs and downstairs, I was quite taken in fact.. the veggie burger was very tasty. I arrived when before the Sunday night rush. This place is classy I highly recommend this joint I really liked the hip hop on the outside ,, EPMD whatcha sayin dope AF Vegetarian options: Burger was great, not a fan of the fry thingys meh perhaps twas a garnish hmmm
Love this place! My wife and I came here for our Anniversary supper and we will definitely be back. The food was delicious and the service was 5 stars! Jay and Cher are amazing! Would recommend this place to all my friends and family!
Great service bison and lamp were great, only criticism would be the appetizer and desert portion. For what your paying the portions are tiny
We have been to St Tropez many times. Tonight we chose to go to the upstairs area (sorry, cant recall the name). Excellent atmosphere, music, service and food. Had the charcuterie and chicken sliders which were both flavourful and well plated. You can never go wrong with this place and as always, the owner swung by to say Hello and chat. Overall a wonderful experience as always.
St. Tropez Bistro is hands down the best restaurant in Saskatoon. My husband and I have been there several times and each time our experience has been better than the last. Their use of unique herbs and fresh ingredients is always phenomenal! It s obvious that each dish is prepared with extreme pride. I always recommend this restaurant to everyone that asks me where they should go for a great meal.
A lovely date night. The food was excellent, as was the company and wine. The staff were attentive, welcoming and very knowledgeable.
Small restaurant that if you d be lucky to get a table if you didn t book a reservation. We booked on open table and were seated quickly. One server seemed overwhelmed and slightly frantic as she walked around the front of the house unfocused. She would stop by our table to check on us very few times and we waited about 10 minutes before she took our drink order. We had the soup and the charcuterie board to start and the food came out fast and fresh. I ordered a beer and it came out in the can and a cup on the side. The food was delicious and well presented. Dessert was also very good as well. The front of the house could have used a second server as she appeared over worked and it showed in her lack of attention.
Great food. Even better cocktails.
Great little spot . Unique menu, dishes u dont get most places. Very good .
Great food friendly service
Came here for a Valentine s date with my husband and we were absolutely blown away by everything. The atmosphere was great, the service was excellent, the food was just delicious. Every course we had was fantastic right down to the salad lol! I highly recommend this place, we cant wait to go back soon!
Wonderful food and service! An atmosphere you cant get anywhere else in the city! True fine dining in downtown Saskatoon!
Really relaxing atmosphere. Good service. The menu is fairly small, but with high quality options.
Great atmosphere and food. The lamb was melting! Good drinks. Sam was amazing! She was polite and she has great energy. She made our experience even better! Try the raspberry ice cream! Amazing!!! We will definitely go back and recommend it to our friends.
Nice atmosphere and service, but food can be better.
I went back and the quality and dining experience was there! Great steak. A little pricy! But super good.
St. Tropez Bistro is always incredible. From start to finish, each experience has been well above and beyond all our expectations. The serving team is remarkable, especially Sam! Owners Cher and Jason are two of the kindest and most accommodating folks I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Food is always top notch, with classic elements complimented by Jasons innovation. We have every single significant date and occasion with them and I encourage anyone to do the same. You will not be disappointed. We are lucky to have such a wonderful gem like St. Tropez Bistro in our city.
Food was absolutely amazing and the service and atmosphere were great!
Nice little place, great ambiance. The menu had a good selection of food and drinks. Service was good, quick and very polite. The food was good, I got the duck, and the lentils and the roasted vegetables really shone. However the duck itself and the chokeberry sauce was very bland tasting. Was expecting some tartness from the chokeberries but found it didnt have much of a taste. The duck was cooked nicely but just didnt have a wow factor for the taste, Ive had much better duck elsewhere. The lentils and vegetables were good but overpowered the duck. Overall nice experience, with good food but perhaps something else on the menu would have been even better.
Terrific food, friendly staff.
Hard 5 stars the duck was amazing!
Excellent service. Great food.
great place with great service! my partner and i had a good time there.
Ambiance was great and the menu appeared interesting but even though the food was delicious I left hungry. I would have been better off going to my favourite well known steak house.
The decor was lovely however I felt the portion sizes were very small for the prices. The food was adequate in taste but not special at all. I would not recommend based on the high price for low quality and small portions.
Dietary restrictions: They have some gf and vegetarian and vegan options. Food
Checked out their cocktail lounge Parlour great service nice place
Small portions, big prices. Ok service and ambiance. Reasonably tasty food. Charged us a fee for a smaller group than what we booked?!? And 20% gratuity. Won t ever go back. Lots of better choices in town.
Wow. Visited this place quite a while back, but it was certainly a meal to remember. It s a very small, cozy restaurant with just a few staff members. Each of them are delightful and kind. The food is awesome. Everything was cooked very well, seasoned to perfection, and just perfect. I think everyone at our table was thoroughly impressed by this small, little restaurant. Definitely one of the hidden gems in Saskatoon.
Staff was very friendly. Food was fantastic! Would definitely recommend.
Great meal
A quaint little resturant! I fell in love with the atmosphere this resturant provided, and the service is lovely. Pictured below is the trout and the gnocchi. Will be here again.
I had been meaning to check this place out for nearly 5 years. Our first visit to celebrate my friends convocation proved to be worth the wait. Its an upscale restaurant with interesting artistic details throughout. I ordered the duck along with a special gin sour cocktail (sorry, Ive forgotten the name). Well be back again to check out the rooftop patio.
Impeccable service. Astonishing food.
Excellent choices on the menu! The Duck was done just right! My daughter had the trout, it looked great and she said it was fantastic! Highly recommended. Great atmosphere for a family get together! The service exceptional! Very attentive!
What an excellent dining experience! The service was great-- allbeit a little robotic if that makes sense. There were very few people around which took away from the ambiance. The food was delicious, but not as highly elavated as one would expect. For an appy, we got the carpaccio, which was great. The bread could have been fresher and needed more agressive seasoning, but overall was great. We had the duck (was recommended to us) and the gnocci which was lovely! The duck was perfectly cooked and featured lovely fall root vegetables. The gnocci was great as well, however was sort of...one note. For dessert we had the creme caramel, which was fantastic! It would have been even better if it had some crunch or other form of texture, but the flavour was great! My only complaint was that our red wines were chilled and not in the cleanest glasses which made it hard to enjoy. Overall, a great experience!
I really like going to this bistro. Tonight was really hit and miss. The dessert was delicious, the mocktail fantastic, the sides amazing, but the rest was... better on other visits. Still a great experience.
Fantastic food, drinks and ambience. The hosts were so gracious and accommodated our puppy on the patio. Even a free sample of tortiere! Made our visit to Saskatoon special. Thank you!
We hosted our wedding dinner here after having to relocate our wedding to Saskatoon at the last minute due to covid restrictions in another province. Owners Cher and Jason were wonderful to work with and created a dream dining experience for this special day. I truly believe our dining experience here far exceeded anything we had planned at our original venue. We had a four course wine pairing dinner with incredible wines handpicked from their collection. The food was flavorful and beautiful in presentation. The aesthetics of the restaurant itself lended to the ambiance as well. The children present were easily accommodated with special/simpler kid meals perfected to their liking. From 18 months to 80 years old, everyone found this to be an excellent dining experience. Highly recommend!
Very good restaurant in Saskatoon
Excellent food and ambiance.
Pretty great spot! Cocktails and food were excellent
Lovely ambience. Great service.
me and my dad went here last night and we had the best food I ve ever had. Everything was fresh from their garden and I had an amazing time! 10/10 would recommend
Delicious fresh food and loved our server
Wonderful food and drink selection. Well distanced dining
I recommend the place
Nice atmosphere, attentive and accommodating staff, but the food quality for the price is not good. The pork tenderloin was presented as a chunk rather than sliced, was dry, under-seasoned, and was accompanied by bland and uninspired sides. A lot more is to be expected from a restaurant with 25-38$ entrees.
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend
Always amazing!
Best restaurant experience ever. Highly recommended.
Great fine dining. Great hosts
One of Saskatoon s gems. Always fresh ingredients much of which is grown by the owners. Great food, drinks and top shelf service.
Date night: Very nice overall experience. Food was unique and very good, excellent service. Prices were in line with what we would normally expect for a locally owned restaurant serving high quality food. Relaxing atmosphere. Well be going back.
Beautiful bistro-style food in a lovely upscale atmosphere.
Definitely not something I expected to find in Saskatoon! Food, service and ambience perfect. European portion sizes, not North American.
Have always been amazed by the menu, food and ambiance of Saint Tropez. Perfect for a romantic dinner or for a group that wants to be able to converse without competing with the background noise that is found in so many places these days. With the owner as your host there is always the personal touch.
Good food, decent price. Not a large selection on the menu.
Excellent food. Excellent experience. Thanks for a great night guys.
Food was fantastic... Fettuccini was simply the best that I have ever had ! Atmosphere was perfect ...our waiter was above and beyond...family run business. It will not disappoint !
Small place, downtown location, intimate atmosphere conducive to conversations, wonderful food
An absolutely great experience. The host was always checking that everything was going well. The owner / operator pride really shines though. Like the saying goes, it s the little things , St, Tropez takes cares of the little things extremely well. The food creations are based on an excellent forage and local grown philosophy. I highly encourage others to partake in the experience. Great service, great food, great time. Get there soon!!!!! See you there!!!! Be proud of your establishment!
Amazing. Great food and friendly staff made for a perfect experience.
I d been to St. Tropez Bistro before, but years have passed. (So many restaurants in Saskatoon it s easy to forget.). I struggle at times with noise in restaurants, either from music or the kitchen combined, so when I find a place where I don t struggle to communicate, I m very happy. Cher greeted and seated us, and served us an amazing meal! The presentation was lovely, with fresh garnishes from their rooftop garden, and beautiful wine choices. Jason s expertise in the kitchen is evident! The soft music made it so easy to talk it was an amazing experience. I m sorry this little gem of a restaurant had slipped my mind for a time. People and clients often ask me if I have a favourite restaurant in Saskatoon. I usually list off a few, giving pros and cons of each. But St. Tropez Bistro will no doubt be at the top of my list w/o hesitation. I can t wait to return!
The service was superb, our server was extremely knowledgeable in every drink and right down to every ingredient in each menu item. The food was delicious and I could tell my gnocchi was made from scratch (and tasted divine). The atmosphere was lovely and I would recommend it for a romantic date night!
Always good food and quiet so you can talk
Old school charm! From outside and 90% inside it looks like a hundred years old building ! Some reno inside! The spiral staircase brings a beautiful accent to the whole place. Pretty quite and classy! Now comes the food! Its COSTLY! And the quality is not that good! Also poor portion size ! I did not understand why the cost was so high!! Their wine collection was good though! Oh their location is good!
Food is great and the atmosphere is cozy
Good cuisine
Definitely still one of the better restaurants in Saskatoon. Appetizers are unique with complex flavours. Entrees are interesting and well prepared. Deserts are also quite unique. It is a small restaurant but was not busy when we were there. Prepare to spend money though.
Very small servings of non-tasty food for very high price. I ordered the chicken with mushroom and a side of rice thinking that it would be a nice sauce but the piece of chicken was tiny...about half the size at a normal restaurant, a couple of mushrooms were burned onto the chicken, and the side of rice was 2 tablespoons of cold rice. They also included 2 tablespoons of three been salad on the very large white plate. My plate was two thirds empty. Why didnt I complain? To whom? The server was rarely around, very slow in getting our food to us...90 minutes...and didnt come around again till she gave us the bill with 18% tip built into it. Many of us were hungry enough to ask to go to McDonalds afterwards....
Romantic and Quaint! A great place to dine for a romantic evening out for our 18th anniversary. The food is very good and the service is excellent. This quaint little restaurant is charming and we were very satisfied by the experience. And even though we were the last couple in the restaurant, there was absolutely no attempt to rush us out the door. Its a little pricey, but well worth the investment! I recommend dining here for a romantic outing and an enjoyable experience.
I definitely suggest this restaurant to people who care about what they have not just about how much they pay for their meal! Awesome service and great atmosphere. It would be your favourite place for your special nights.
