Delicious! I lived here for so long, drove by & never stopped. My friend suggested we go so we did, SO GOOD! Family owned & operated, everyone is so nice, food is great, drinks too. Definitely will be back soon
It was years since we had been (pre covid) so I was pumped, as it has always been a favourite of mine! Got the curry goat, BBQ ribs, and jerked chops.. all excellent as ever and reasonably priced with nice big portion sizes! Everyone I have brought here through the years has been impressed with the food, including my late grandmother who was hesitant to even enter. 😂 Baby girl seemed to enjoy herself but made some faces trying things as she isn't quite on food yet. Very attentive staff, great people and good vibes all around! Bless up! 🙏
Will be returning! First time here, amazing spot hidden deep in the city. Really neat vibes inside. I got the Sweet fire Chicken since I like spicy food but let me warn you this is on a different level of spice. My body went full sweat mode to try to get rid of the heat! But it was sooooooooo good! Would recommend to any spice lovers in the city!
Visited here from out of town. I had heard a lot of good things about the place and my expectations were met. The restaurant is in a relatively discrete strip mall hidden in a quaint neighborhood on the west side of Sask. The interior is nice and cozy. Lots of drawings from patrons and the customers adorn the walls. I had the sweet fire chicken plate. Came with some fried bread to start. The waitress was very knowledgeable and gave good recommendations on food and heat levels. I stuck to the default for the sweet fire which is a bonnet based sauce. The sautéed vegetables were cooked nicely. Given an option of rice or potatoes or both I went with both. Those sides didn’t disappoint and all tasted fresh. Chicken is white breast meat, which I’m not a fan of but it’s fine. They were able to accommodate our party of 5. Id recommend anyone wanting a home cooked meal to visit Konga Cafe
Went on Saturday with some friends. Had an amazing experience. We had a server who said she has been there for 17 years now, she was such a pleasant lady!!! I will be coming back for sure as she made the experience so enjoyable. I ordered the jerk chicken with the half and half and it was honestly some of the best food i have eaten :) Thank you so much for such a great experience!!!
Konga Cafe Sasktoon. As I've said before, this place is the Quintessential Textbook Definition of a "Hidden Gem". Humble. Unassuming. Welcoming & Amazing all at the same time! Don't go in with a time expectation and just let the evening unfold... (With a couple of drinks of course ☺️). I was Half way through my meal, The Sweet Fire Porker (one chop gone ) which was quite spicy & savory & delicious! Plus their beans & rice + roasted vegetables before I realized I should take a picture! If you haven't been here, this is one of those bucket list places you must try in Saskatoon! 10/10
First time at this restaurant, had only ever tried jerk chicken before, which was slightly spicy and delicious. Today I got the jerk chicken here, which was delicious, but had absolutely no spice. I wish it was possible to make it spicier, other than that the food was great. Loved the staff, they were very attentive and kind. The place was a bit busy, but the staff did a great job with getting us seated and serving our food at a reasonable time. Will definitely come back again.
Could not believe the great reviews, glad we tried this place out! Cozy and welcoming vibes, wonderful friendly server, tasty food. Key lime pie is quite sweet- perfect for us sweet tooth’s! Only wish service could be faster as we had to wait a while for our bill- there’s only one server on a Friday evening. Still 5 star worthy and will def come back again!
One of my favorite restaurants in saskatoon, never had a bad meal. Jerk chicken is a 10/10 would recommend
The service was great! Supper was delicious!
Good as always! Konga the best. 10/10
Eddy boy your the best Love your food always
Amazing food, great vibes, great service.
Two words!! Belly full ! Food
Amazing, will be back
This has been my go to place for food in Saskatoon since 2007. You are treated like family by the owners. The food is incredible, the portions are huge and the service is fantastic. Secret menu....Ask for the Mushroom Chicken and you wont be disappointed.
Ive never had a bad experience at konga. Me and my kids are regulars and they treat you like family their. Marcia is an amazing cook, with true Jamaican food.
The staff here are fantastic and the service was great, pricing for the meals is really good and you get lots of food. They have a huge selection of different hot sauces you can add to your dish. Excellent local restaurant Kid-friendliness: Staff was great with kids
One of my favourite spots in the whole city!
Great food. Large portions. The staff are amazing.
My all time favorite
Great food. The staff treat everyone like family. Huge portions. Great value.
Incredible food and lovely service will be back!
Konga Cafe never disappoints. It s a date night favourite of ours. The staff are kind and wonderful. The food is delicious. And the rum punch is just like we re on the island.
The food was great and all of the staff were wonderful. Next time I am in town I will be sure to have a meal here again.
The best food I ve had in a while. Amazing service. Great vibe!
Foods are good
Amazing service! I don t think my water glass was ever close to empty and an incredible menu! So great!
This place is a hidden gem 1 Location Location is okay. Parking lot is quite tight making it difficult for parking. Area is a little sketchy but havent had issues. 2 Facility Facility is small yet homely. Easy to get crowded on busy nights; however, there is a good reason for the business. This place is a hidden gem. Washrooms are always in order and stocked. Hard to navigate through the dining area because I am a rather enormous human. There is another area inside a room which is nice to book if you want to have a group separated from the other dining area. Place is kid friendly and they will even post the drawings on their walls which is nice. 3 Staff Staff have always been great. I like it when a place of certain cuisine and culture has some staff who represent the culture, but thats my preference. The owners are amazing people and very welcoming. All the servers are great and always have been on top of their duties. I never feel forgotten or waiting for an order. Food comes in a timely manner and they always check to make sure I need refills throughout the course of my stay. 4 Food Although some of the dishes arent my preference, they do have dishes that are the reason I come here. Its worth it and its delicious. The drinks are limited selection but thats to be expected. I like the drinks they serve though. When I have a craving this place seems to satisfy it perfectly. 5 Atmosphere The place is welcoming, the community overall is mostly families and couples. Thus far Ive always felt welcome here, enjoyed the food and service without fail.
Very friendly & welcoming. Quick and delicious food. This was our first time trying and we will definitely be back!
Went here with my boyfriend family it reminded them of Costa Rica food and they loved it
Hands down, some of the best food I ve had recently! They make sure each dish is done the right way. The mahi mahi dish was especially memorable. They have such good ingredients like boneless chicken breasts, fresh veggies, homemade bread to start, the fish was grilled really well, the potatoes were flavourful same with the proteins. There is a ton of different hot sauces to choose from and the pricing is fair. The restaurant its self is really homey and comfortable, the staff are all great. One of my new favourite restaurants, it s a must try!
Freaking amazing food. Flavours were top notch, portions sizable, staff exceedingly friendly, and cozy atmosphere. Got the jerk chicken and peanut punch (its a peanut milkshake deal) Food
Tried the jerk mahi mahi special it was excellent! Staff are super welcoming, this place feels more like going to a friends house for dinner than a restaurant. Loved it! I will be back.
Whoa Whoa Whoa ! If you have never been to the Conga café then you are missing out. WARNING !!! make a reservation or you might not get a seat. A month ago I called my 40 year best friend and told him I wanted to buy supper for the four of us. Wheres your favorite restaurant I said. His reply was the Conga. I have been there numerous times since and every time I say,,, OK that is the best dining experience of my life. We got there at 4 pm to the minute as the doors were opening. Ellen proceeds to introduce me to a young fellow who was here the night before but chose not to join the lineup waiting to get in. Next I meet Terry who is a regular. He replies by saying that he has tried every entre on the menu and never had a bad meal. When our meals arrived at the table the amount on the four oversize plates was like I had never seen before . I had the Canadian pork chops and I could only finish one of the two huge no bone beautifully seasoned chops. The Conga doesnt only offer a culinary delight but also a dining atmosphere that I would compare to the TV show , CHEERS. Enjoy and tell them Emery & Scotty sent you ! Parking: Come early,,,, They open at 4 pm each day. If there is a line up dont leave ,,, the wait is WORTH THE WHILE.
What a gem! A small cafe, not fancy, but the food is excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the service is great! We ve eaten here a couple of times and are never disappointed. Highly recommend!
Literally one of the best restaurants Ive been to in my life (and Ive traveled a lot). We moved away from Saskatoon and one of the things I miss the most is Konga Cafe. Every time we come home to visit we make a stop here. 11/10 food. Perfection. Great hosts, chill atmosphere, so delicious.
Had the shrimp curry with potatoes and rice/peas. Was delish!!!!! Whole family loved our meal and love this place.
Great experience. Felt like we had a break from Saskatoon for a second. Couldnt recommend more
Awesome food... Great no frills atmosphere
Love the food and the atmosphere! Eddy and the staff are super friendly as well!! Jamacian comfort food ar its finest! Kid-friendliness: Great service, food and friendly owner! Highly recommend this hidden gem.
awesome staff, great atmosphere and wonderful food.
Best jerk shicken in the city !!
Excellent food and friendly staff. Arrive hungry, because the portions are generous, and youll need room for key lime pie.
Amazing experience. Great food, great service. Excellent vibes. Wonderful from the moment we stepped inside to the moment we left. We will be back again.
Delicious food good service, big portion and friendly atmosphere.
The best pork chop I have ever eaten! Gotta love Mom & Pop shops that make amazing food at reasonable prices!
The food here is so good. The shrimp curry, the pork chops, and ribs are fantastic.
Great food for a reasonable price. First time going there was about 3 months ago.ive gone back 6 times since! Kid-friendliness: They have paper to draw on which you can put on there walls
Amazing food and staff! Highly recommend.
Honestly one of my favorite places in the city! Such a chill vibe with such great food!! Love yhe porkchops, the chicken, the goat. EVERYTHING. This place is Great for groups of friends wanting to hang out on a friday or a family with small kids wanting to get out for a night. Ive done both and have loved it everytime. The entire staff from the kids serving to the owner makes the night memorable. The owner especially goes out of his way to make everyone feel special, my young children included. Your water glasses and stomach will never be left empty. Its awsome homeystyle food with an awsome chill vibe! Konga is really one the hidden gems in this city. Kid-friendliness: My 1 and 4 yr old love coming here. The creole shrimp and curry goat were not too spicy for them and a big hit overall.
This is some of the best food I have ever had. For dining in, the staff is quite friendly and helpful. Its a small, lively place that feels like a big family dinner. Its worth a trip across the city for a delicious meal.
That is one of my favorite places to go n eat
Konga Cafe, what a nice surprise! I ordered just the veggies as a side and to my delight, I also received 2 pork chops as a bonus! And of course the vegetables, jerk porkchops and service was great.
Pre-covid...this place was da bomb. Just went back today, and something was off. There.was a thick odd paste on the jerk chicken and it used to be more moist and tender. Rice and beans were great. Big perk, though, the prices. And, the fact that you still get fry bread and hot sauces. Will still go back.
Always awesome food, atmosphere. So friendly! One of my favorite holes in the wall
Just delicious food and homely atmosphere.....
So great. Reminded me of actual Jamaica. Theit curried goat was incredible.
Definitely will be back!
Hands down the best restaurant in Saskatoon. The owners me staff make you feel like family, and after visiting monthly for over 7 years (sometimes weekly), I ve never had anything but an exceptional experience.
This place still has the best ribs in town, awesome cocktails, simply the best, better than all the rest. Eddie and the staff are super welcoming and inviting- all the sides are delicious, really everything on the menu is awesome. Any of the chicken option are always really good. If you havent been here, it is one of the best places (my personal favorite) to eat in saskatoon. Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome by the staff- super accommodating.
True Caribbean cuisine experience! Full of flavor. Took us 15 years to experience this gem.
Awesome home cooked meals. Always a great experience
Good service and good staff behaviour. Vinay was good
Good place to enjoy staff was awesome and friendly
Great service by Vinay Great food Food
This restaurant is a hidden little treasure of Saskatoon! The servers were so polite & charismatic. The definition of soul food & the perfect melody of flavours.
Best place for Jamaica food and dont forget to get the pie its the best great staff and Eddie is a legend Parking: Small parking lot.
Amazing food, good cheerful service. Fun decor and atmosphere.
Amazing food, the jerk chicken was unbelievably good 10/10 along with the key lime pie, will be back
Best food in saskatoon
Absolutely incredible experience! My party of 9 (7 adults, 2 children) were seated with plenty of space in the back room. Ellen (the white Jamaican lol) was our server and she was fantastic! She made dish suggestions, checked on us regularly, taught the kids some Jamaican phrases while dancing with them beside the table & was full of energy. The food was incredible! I cannot handle spice AT ALL & ordered the curry goat. It was perfect! Not spicy at all yet full of flavour and spices. They can make it spicy for those who wish! We all enjoyed a slice of key lime pie after dinner which also was amazing. Eddy (the owner) came around frequently with a big smile on his face & let us know that if everyone finished their vegetables- we would be treated with a homemade cherry (rum?) shot. We all finished our vegetables! And that shot was SOOOOO SMOOTH!!! It was made with organic cherries so only half as bad The kids got a complimentary popsicle after dinner. There were two young teenagers working there aswell (Ellen s kids?) and they would make sure our waters were full at all times. Final thoughts The food was the most delicious and authentic Jamaican food that you will experience in Saskatoon. The employees make you feel at home and part of the family. And the decor is so neat! Everyone had the most amazing time and we all LOVED not only the meal but the whole experience in itself. Will 100% be back & highly recommend The Konga Cafe to anyone of any age, race, ethnicity, gender etc. Everyone will feel welcome here. Kid-friendliness: High chairs available Chicken strips were amazing & made without preservatives
Probably my new favorite place. Our server was a very sweet lady too
Amazing little hole in the wall Jamaican restaurant. Fresh, home cooked food and fantastic service.
I went for supper with my family the food was delicious customer service fantastic 10/10 i m definitely going back
Our server was wonderful and the food exceeded expectations. We re looking forward to coming back with our friends and family.
What a hidden gem! Everything was top notch and I will definatly be back. The burger and fries was awesome with the cheese and carmelized onions...
Great as usual. Ive been a dozen times and never ordered anything other than the jerk pork chops and potatoes. Its so good I cant even try anything else. Large portion too, its two chops and a healthy portion of potatoes and veg. Edit 2023 - I have now tried the Canajun pork chops, they are also fantastic. Kid-friendliness: Booster seats, crayons for colouring on the placemats, chicken fingers available
The reviews were right!! Great atmosphere, better food, best people! I loved the jerk Mahi Mahi and oh. my. god, the Johnny cakes. Definitely a place to check out!
Food was absolutely amazing service was wonderingful definitely worth trying out
I love it here. It s the kind of spot that benefits so much from the skills and presence of its wonderful owners, so (as much as it pains me to say) it won t be around forever. The whole menu is great but my top choices are the ribs, johnnycakes and key lime pie. Super easygoing place, but every meal I ve had there has been special. If you re in Saskatoon, be sure to check it out. Easily a top five must-try place in this city. I m due for a visit myself.
I have never had a bad meal or experience here. Our waiter tonight could not have been better in any way.
Hey little place with lots of personality and good food.
Great service on a busy night! We had BBQ chicken, jerk chicken and sweet fire chicken served with rice&beans and roasted potatoes. Served family style - we will be coming back for the key lime pie!
You wont regret coming here
If you haven t been here you must go! The food is absolutely amazing! The key lime pie is mouthwatering, such a relaxed and fun atmosphere, definitely one of the best place in the city.
To start off I came here years ago and loved the place had to retry now eh daystar! Three of us came here couple weeks ago now I forgot to write a review as life is busy! But do not let that say anything about this restaurant! As its food is amazing full of flavors! We also came here when the place was pretty empty staff seated us and greeted us kindly and all staff seemed very kind and inviting! Very welcoming place with fun atmosphere! We will be coming back again!
One of my very favourite spots in the city! We were there celebrating with some friends and our time there was so enjoyable. Eddie (one of the owners) was very attentive, bringing us a special sauce to supplement the meal (very flavorful and VERY hot). He also did a shot with us later! He is a gem of a person and you can just tell how much he cares about his customers! A true hidden gem, this family-run restaurant excels in serving delicious, mouth-watering, and fresh Caribbean food. From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff and owners will make you feel right at home in a casual and relaxed environment. From start to finish, this is a dining experience you will not forget. Starting with the overall decor and menu, you immediately see that this place is focused on light-hearted simplicity with a homey feel. The menu itself has some hilarious descriptions that are sure to make you smile. With the beverages, they really take it up a notch bring you a frosted mug for your beer - a nice touch! The Johnny Cakes (aka fry-bread) will delight your palette and whet your appetite as you prepare for your foods arrival - but thats just the beginning. The entrées - authentic and packed with flavor - are exceptional. I had the Sweetfire chicken when I was just there and it was just the right balance of flavor and incredibly juicy. In the past, Ive had the jerk chicken, mahi mahi, and pork chops - all exceptional. The key lime pie was then the perfect way to end the meal. This place is a must try for anybody who likes fresh, authentic, homestyle, Caribbean food. If you havent been here before, do yourself a favour and come on down!
its awesome, best jerk chicken you will ever have!
Konga Cafe is an absolute gem. Families, friends, groups, trust me you will not be disappointed. Creole shrimp and the best key lime pie in the city. Love you Konga, may you ever thrive
Honestly one of my favourite places to eat in Saskatoon. Fresh and flavourful foods.
if you like heat, you NEED to try the Sweetfire Chicken! Best grilled chicken Ive eaten, anywhere. the rice and peas are always perfect, as are the veggies. Great prices, portions and service. if youre looking for a meal that tastes like it was made by somebodys mama, Konga Cafe will not disappoint.
Best kept secret in saskatoon that everyone needs to know about. Great food, atmosphere and staff!!!
Had a fantastic meal here with my family. Sweet heat ribs, jerk chicken and oxtail stew. Everything was great! Good value and great food. Excellent. Definitely will be back when we come to Saskatoon
Best restaurant in town hands down. Staff is so friendly, food is homemade and delicious. Best key lime pie! Could not recommend this place enough definitely a must try!
The jerk chicken was amazing, very moist and flavourful!!!!!! I heard about the restaurant from different people and they did not disappoint! All the staff were friendly, the chef/owner was personable and delivered our food to our table. I always appreciate when the decoration reflects the culture and I definitely got the full Jamaican food experience here. I highly recommend to anyone!!!
The best food and service! Their BBQ ribs was absolutely our favorite dish and the price is only $25 for huge portions.
Great place, great service, very tasty food, friendly staff always
Amazing Jerk chicken and Mahi Mahi! And their rum cocktails are fantastic!
Hidden Gem in Saskatoon BEST JERK CHICKEN IN TOWN !!! Defiantly Recommend
The food was amazing! Id highly recommend eating here.
Honestly best spot in Saskatoon. The food is absolutely delicious. Best jerk chicken we have ever had. Potatoes are unmatched. The spicy peanut butter shrimp is the best shrimp dish I have ever had.
Jamaican jerk chicken is the best Ive ever had. We come to saskatoon every year to visit family and we always make sure to come to Konga. We miss it so much. Its SO good. Dietary restrictions: Someone in our group couldnt have dairy and they accommodated that. Parking: Free parking out front off the street. Kid-friendliness: The owner loves kids so much.
Best place EVER! We absolutely loved the food and it was so comforting and wholesome. We arent Jamaican but it felt like home and comfort food. We had the Sweet fire chicken which was fiery the jerk chicken. It was the best when paired with Jamaican pop. They also gave us complimentary fried bread with banana sauce which was bananas. The chef was amazing and super entertaining. It was the best experience overall. Best. food. ever. in Saskatoon. Dont ever miss this place.
Very good Mahi Mahi
Delicious food and friendly staff! Thanks for the fabulous evening!!
Tried Konga for the first time after a recommendation from a friend and saw the great reviews, and they are true, hard to give this anything but 5 stars. If your looking for a home-cooked meal then this is the place to go! Tried the jerk chicken but am excited to go back and try se other things on the menu now.
Hands down my fav restaurant to go to. The staff/owners and so friendly and the food is delicious.
Such a unique restaurant! Had the jerk chicken and drank a Funky Munky. Both were absolutely delicious.
One of my favorite restaurants in saskatoon. The jerk chicken half and half is to die for.
The ambience, customer service, and food was wonderful.
The entrees are fabulous! You will not be disappointed.
Delicious with care made into your food as if you were family
Best take out food I have ever had!!!!
One of THE best places to grab a bite in saskatoon. Cant recommend enough. Steak always perfectly cooked, generously slathered in mushrooms, with very generous portion of rice and potatoes, as well as some delicious freshly cooked bread. For $20! You cant beat this place.
Excellent food, super friendly staff, the best place in town town.
Both my partner and my favourite restaurant for years now. Consistently well made Carribean food.
Our favorite go to. Never disappoints ever!
The food is always very delicious and high quality that comes in a big portions.
Love love love! Everything and more
Can t refer this place enough!! The owners are soo nice and service is unmatched!! Their curry goat and chicken pumpkin soup are next level!!! Be sure to try their in house scotch bonnet hot sauce and enjoy ur meal with a Red Stripe !!
If you love Carribean this is a must try! Unique in its own way compared to Carribean food Ive tried in Toronto.
I went yesterday and Food was delicious! presentation amazing! Definitely coming back again!
This place is a hidden gem. It s absolutely amazing. My entire family loves it. We go here for all our birthdays and special occasions. Everything on the menu is fantastic. I highly recommend the ribs especially. Eddy is always so friendly, up beat, and really loves his customers.
Mmmmm!
This place has friendly service and a chill, cozy vibe. The food can be hit and miss, but perhaps I just haven t eaten there enough to find my go-to dishes yet. On our most recent visit I had the jerk mahi mahi, which was great. It had a really nice smoky flavour to it.
I had the pleasure of trying the jerk chicken, rice and peas and salad. The chicken was perfectly done, but could be more spicy. A bit overpriced for what it was, but a good food experience in Saskatoon.
Always good food you got to eat here 5 more like 10 service is always good mangers always smile you will go home full thanks again konga
Food and service were excellent. Only downside is no kids menu and no change table. Will be back again for sure
Awesome food!!
Love the Johnny cakes. Konga burger was very good. The jerk chicken is also great.
This restaurant is amazing the best mahi-mahi I ever had.
Always fire
Food was excellent
One of the best restaurants in saskatoon. You should try
Great service and delicious food. Dont be fooled by their closed sign on their door. They are most likely open. Inside is very cozy. The servers are really great at offering suggestions on what to eat. I have no pics because i ate the food so fast
Small family type restaurant, good taste and large portion of the dish. Very friendly services
Amazing Jerk Chicken and the Curry Goat Special was fantastic!!
My favorite restaurant in the city if not the world. Excellent food and drinks. I reccomend the steak and a Grog to drink.
Sooooo goood. Great rum milkshakes amazing food. Great people
Had a lovely meal and this place did not disappoint. Have seen a few reviews so was excited to try it, and will definitely be back. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. 10 stars! And the key lime pie, oh my!
Great food
The food and hospitality is always great. I love Eddie he always looks after my grandson when he comes with us. I usually order the pork chop dish with beans and rice. Oh so yummy and big enough for a full lunch the next day. The fried bread is absolutely delicious ( I get it with honey, umm yummy) Konga Cafe is a hidden gem.
Always a great experience here. Love the waiter, so comical.
Excellent food - love the spices!
This is my favorite place to eat in Saskatoon, Eddy is always is great.
Burger and jerk chicken are by far the best in saskatoon! Would definetly come back again 10/10. Freindly staff great atmosphere.
We absolutely loved this place. It is our new favourite date night place. The waiter was hilarious, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was delicious. I had the Sweetfire Pork Chops, they were quite spicy. It was a creamy sauce that had a slow heat which didn t overpower the great taste. The chops were juice and cooked perfectly. We will be coming back here many more times!!!
Konga cafe is incredible. Ive been going to this place for almost a decade and the food/cook quality remains to be one of the most consistent Ive ever seen. Just a great overall experience. Eddie is a wonderful guy and his staff is always carrying the same positive energy that he does. Definitely a place to try if youre looking for more than just great Jamaican food at a good price, this place is an experience!
What the Konga Cafe lacks in modern bathrooms and upscale atmosphere it makes up in Jamaican ambiance and menu choices. I had a jerk chicken dish and my companion had a curry chicken dish. Both were accompanied by carrots and potato wedges and rice. Very tasty! Use your imagination and you are in a side street cafe in Montego Bay. Will gladly return!
Come here everytime im in the city
First time of eating here. Will definitely be coming back!
Great food, fun atmosphere, and good prices!!!
One of the best meals yet! The staff is top notch - very friendly and helpful.
I have heard about this place from family but never went there until tonight. The food is amazing, I left wanting more. The portions are huge and the price is excellent. The staff is friendly and engaged with my kids. Great experience and will be back over and over again.
Awesome taste...we had Jerk chicken...simply superb.....preparation time is little more but really worth it...
Yum!!
Unbelievable awesome food!
Fantastic service and food. Great neighborhood spot.
Always a pleasure!!!
The best kept secret in Saskatoon. Do not let the quirky decor fool you. This is the best Jamaican restaurant, nah, the best restaurant in the city.
They make delicious chicken strips. I definitely recommend Konga Cafe for this.
Great food
Stop what youre doing pick up the phone and order from this amazing place immediately. The Jamaica Chicken and Burger are amazing would put it against anyone in the city. Support Local and have an amazing meal all in one night. I will be dreaming about the Johnny Cakes for a week! Literally counting down the minutes before I can order again. Rant over ! If your not sure pull the trigger you wont be disappointed
Very good food. This is very authentic Jamaican food
I dont know how to express how much I enjoy Konga Cafe, and everybody that I know who has been absolutely loves it too! Everything about this place is special. All of the food and drinks I have ever had have been top notch. Its really great down home Carribean food. The flavour is always spot on, and everything is always cooked perfectly. The portions are generous and satisfying, like what your grandma would feed you if she thought you needed to eat more. Also, the value is great. The staff are so great-- friendly, welcoming, helpful, and truly passionate. If youre not sure what to order, they have opinions and recommendations that youre sure to love. The vibe of the restaurant is also unique and special, very homey with a clear appreciation of their customers (just go in and experience it). Im forever baffled about how more people dont know about this hidden gem. If you havent gone yet, GO NOW!
We ordered take out. The food was great but the phone etiquette of the staff member leaves a lot to be desired.
Easily my favourite restaurant in Saskatoon. Goes so much further than beyond just the food. But first, lets start with the food. Big portions, great prices, and tastes like it was cooked for you at someones home in the Caribbean. The jerk chicken is the best item in town. I simply cannot believe how much value they provide in their prices! Second, the atmosphere is second to none. Every time I leave this place I am a happier person, and that is not just because of the food. Eddie and his team are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make your day better. They do little things that make you smile. They thrive off of bringing happiness and laughter to their customers. They make you feel at home in their space. If you have never been to Konga, you are truly missing out on a hidden gem.
Only take out food at the moment! But still great food!
So good!!!
Best jamaican spot I have ever eaten at, the jamaican jerk chicken and plantain is incredible! Atmosphere is the way is should be, and I got to hang my art work on the wall!! My weekly spot for life!!!!
Great food friendly people
Amazing food and great staff
It is very very highly recommended. Food and service was beyond awesome.
Sandra was awesome! AND the food was amazing! Definitely coming back!
Good food. Chill atmosphere. We all had the jerk chicken and all equally impressed. Large portions plus topped it off with the banana sauce with the bread prior!! Hmm plus had a dark and stormy made just right and friend had wine in a glass. Very chill but plenty tasty
Always coming here and always for same dish, jamaican jerk chicken . It is so delicious. The sauce on top the chicken is amazing. Well done rice and potatoes. Jummy
Love Konga! My favorite restaurant! Service and food are always top notch!
Best food, great service
My gf and I have always been interested in stopping by and today weve discovered that its amazing. Large portions, everything was cooked perfectly, and the staff are so friendly.

Amazing food and drinks, super affordable too. Love the ambience
The jerky birdy was amazing!!!
Great food and services we are coming back
Nice Caribbean vibe to the place. Although, looked a bit clumsy in one corner. Food was great. Loved the jerk chicken and the pie.
First time there. Jerk chicken was very good. My wife had the burger and it was a just big chunk of ground meat (we wouldn t get that again). Overall the food and flavours we good. Good service.
Best ribs in the city
