I have nothing but amazing things to say about Primal. For my partners and Is anniversary, I wanted to do something special and I had heard about how great this place was. Firstly, the staff were amazing; very personable and friendly and elevated the experience. Despite them being busy, our server was so attentive and helpful! Knew the menu very well and could explain any questions. We decided to do the 5 course meal, and holy crap we were not disappointed. Whole meal took just over 2hrs, it was spaced out very well with perfect portion sizes.I love how its a choose your own adventure versus it being a set meal plan, so you can get all the things youve been eyeing up. I dont want to list out everything we got as we each got something different and shared, but every fricken dish was amazing. We also got the oysters, and I was blown away by the quality and freshness. Everything was plated beautifully, portion size was perfect, you can taste the quality of their ingredients! Everything just melts in your mouth, I cannot hype these Chefs enough. We were very full leaving, and incredibly satisfied. Definitely was expensive, but worth the price for the quality of service, atmosphere, and food. It made our anniversary into a really special night, and we cant wait to come back next year!

First time visiting here! Pros: service amazing, good food presentation, nice atmosphere Cons: some might find it too dark, food took a long time to arrive. Expect to be here 2 hours. Also, the food is just okay honestly, it was overall somewhat bland. Overall I dont think we will be back as the cost doesnt justify the quality of food we received.

Incredible service from Trey(?) Was that your name? Im awful at remembering, but you rock! Came for the 5 course meal. Majority of the food was great, one pasta dish was too salty (spaghetti alla gricia) but everything else was exciting and delicious! Atmosphere is a tad too loud with tables a bit too close together. Either way, great dining experience and would love to come again to try more dishes! Butterscotch Budino is life.

We went to Primal for dinner, and tried their 5 course tasting menu. Every dish was amazing and it was a great way to try a lot of their menu, definitely would recommend & go back again!

I was not hungry went to join others with pleasure willing to try something. We decided to order some dishes for sharing. Good call! Bison filet with a dark sauce cooked to perfection tender and delicious Spaghetti cacio et pepe absolutely on point. A salad, oysters, and house grief bread were ALL great, I left place happier will nourished and nothing left to bring home even if I was not going to have dinner.

First time to Primal and I really loved it!! The freshly made Pasta is scrumptious, the Risotto was divine and the Beetroot Salad was spectacular. I had a really nice Rose wine too. We were too full for the desserts but I did have my eye on the Tiramisu. Our female waiter was probably one of the best that I have encountered and the atmosphere was great! I shall return.

The food is really good! The cocktails... Best stick to beer! (Truly awful, and taste nothing like theyre supposed to) The staff are very friendly. The space is just... Dingy and depressing with overly loud and inappropriate music.

This is my place for delightful oysters, pasta ,I had ravioli, and the most amazing Pavlova for dessert, along with a cortado. Bar choice: Negroni, for me. Very cozy environment and lovely staff

This might take the belt for my favourite place to eat in Saskatoon! Amazing service, delicious food and unique ambiance! Their appetizers are sooo good and their in house made pasta dishes are superb! It s a must try for anyone living or visiting

One of Saskatoons best restaurants Order: I stopped by this city for an event while on a business trip as well. My companion and I went to this restaurant as a walk in. Tried the 5 course meal. Took the dessert home. Location: 4.5/5 Heart of downtown Sask. Easy to find on main street. It isnt busy like other major cities but I can imagine parking being an issue if the city was busier. Venue: 4/5 A nice cozy atmosphere. Definitely will need to book reservations next time. We sat at the bar but that is expected. Will make for a nice night out. Service: 5/5 We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman at the bar and the manager who was working is wonderful. She made excellent recommendations. The staff elevated my dining experience. Food: 4/5 Beetroot Salad: very tart, fresh and vibrant flavors to kick start the taste buds. Lovely way to start the meal. The candied pistachios were a great complement to the acidity of the dish. My date had a Caesar salad. I tasted it. Unremarkable. Fried bread: phenomenal. It reminds me of a savory funnel cake but lighter. Bison carpaccio: I like the idea of the bison carpaccio. Typically this is my favorite Italian appetizer. This underdelivered unfortunately. It was very standard. It isnt bad. Just not memorable. tagliatelle with pork and beef heart bolognese. Pasta cooked al dente. Sauce was flavorful and bold. The smaller portion definitely tantilized my taste buds leaving a craving for more. Excellent. I tried my partners spaghetti and meat balls. I think it was not fair to rate because I had mine first. Beef dish. The rotating cut was sirloin cap. This was the best dish of the night. The potatoes ruined French fries and Hash browns for me. This will leave a positive lasting impression of Saskatoon cuisine. Pavlova dessert was light, airy and as if I was eating a cloud with a sweet and sour citrus punch. It was a lovely way to end my night. Overall 4.5/5: great restaurant in Saskatoon. I will come back again when Im in town. Next time I will know what to order and bring more friends.

Food was absolutely amazing and service was equally as great. We were served by Captain Ravioli who was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I hear she has a whole fleet of noodles behind her running the operation and that s why everything runs so smoothly.

As a pizza lover, I had been meaning to try Primals take out pizza... I was not disappointed! The pizza was absolutely delicious! The quality of the ingredients, the freshness, and the overall taste of the pizza was top notch! I ordered both a hawaiian pizza and chicken pizza for some variety. The hawaiian pizza had big juicy chunks of ham on it which tasted amazing! The chicken pizza was absolutely unreal! The fresh lettuce with ranch on top complimented it so perfectly! This is in the top of my list for favourite pizza in Saskstoon! Will absolutely return and will need to dine in to try the rest of the menu!

This was a favourite date spot for my wife and I. Delicious food. Fairly small portions, but thoughtfully made, and charming atmosphere.

With a name like Primal youre sort of expecting a steak house or something similarly meat focused. I came in knowing it was primarily a pasta place but still... The place is nice, atmosphere and service was great. Food was just ok. Way too expensive for what you get. Bison carpaccio was very tasty! I had the carbonara and there was a few small bacon like bits in it and it was overwhelming pepper flavored. I like pepper! I am the most likely person I know to grind some pepper into pretty much anything. This was too much pepper. Also for $32 I kind of expected some actual bacon or other meat. Which brings me to my original point. Primal equals caveman equals hunting animals equals some meat! There were very few meat choices on the menu. And for the price I kind of expected more food. My wife got the risotto which had a good flavour a bit like a fench onion soup. No meat. Its on the main course part of the menu. If youre going to serve primarily Italian pasta great! Just charge a reasonable amount for it and the small portions and lack of proteins.

Food was great, was a bit loud in the restaurant, but certainly had a vibe. The bone marrow appetizer was wonderful, everyone enjoyed it.

Always love the food. My wife and I have eaten at Primal a few times and enjoyed the food every time. Love the unique flavors. Weve gotten the five course meal that allows you to taste a wide variety of the menu. Service is always great. Its a small restaurant but I personally like that. Its great to support a local business. Well keep coming back for the amazing food and service!

Food was great, the atmosphere was very inviting and friendly.

My partner and I went for his birthday. We did have a reservation and I would definitely recommend one (it is quite a small room and fills up quickly). The server was very pleasant and had incredible product knowledge. I had the chai daiquiri. It was on the sweeter side (which I wanted) but still very balanced and did not have an alcohol aftertaste. We had the bison carpaccio as an appetizer and it was very tasty. Nice balance of flavours and an appropriate portion size for an appy. For entrees, I had the beef main and he had the featured pasta dish. The pasta dish was decent. It had a very nice blend of flavours that pair well with the lamb, which was very tender. My beef was cooked to perfection. Had an incredibly charred outside with a very tender and true medium rare center. The rest of the dish was a miss for me. It had no flavour even though there was au jus. The swiss chard was pleasant, but nothing to rave over. My dish was $45 and it was very small. Overall, I would come back for drinks and appies but the mains are a miss for me.

I m a big fan of trying bone marrow on a menu so Primal was recommended to me while in Saskatoon. It s a nice, intimate restaurant with some old-school soulful vibes playing. Our server was very friendly and made some great recommendations for food and wine. We had the oysters and bone marrow for appetizers. The bone marrow was the most savory I ve had. For dinner, I had the rigatoni, goat cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, greens, truffle oil dish. I paired it with a nice white wine from Italy after sampling a few. And for dessert, we had the chocolate torte. It was a perfect ending of a delicious meal. I ll definitely be back.

Another recommendation from Saskatoon folks. Food was good, big push for sustainable which is neat but I have yet to see that concept yield good quality food. Restaurant was cold, atmosphere was quite dark, and window ledge was filthy (we sat by window). Was a dirty restaurant which is also a trademark in these sustainable ideas trying to make it. Service was good. Server smiled and was informative. Not enough to bring us back.

Had the Valentines 5 course meal. Superb! It was a toss up as to which dish I enjoyed the most! All was excellently presented, the ingredients and flavours were perfect and wow, the beef filet melted in my mouth! Thank you!

I really liked the appetizers, the ingredients seemed to be of really good quality. I didnt like the main course so much: it was good but nothing I couldnt make at home by myself. Atmosphere was nice, though I was expecting something a bit more original.

Went for my significant others and my birthdays. We tried the five course meal so we were able to try multiple things. The food was incredible and service was great (I think our sever was named Katie, but I could be wrong). The chocolate strawberry espresso martinis were delicious. Can t wait to return again in the future.

Amazing place! Friendly, informed and attentive staff. We had oysters, fried bread, beef cut with polenta and pavlova for dessert. It was all wonderful. (I haven t stopped thinking about the polenta - creamy, cheesy topped with crispy greens in a puddle of reduction. Perfection.) Dietary restrictions: Asked when confirming reservation whether there were restrictions.

I havent eaten at the restaurant yet but I ordered a pizza from them to try it out. It was easily the best pizza I have ever had. The sauce was amazing the cheese was fantastic, sure it may be pricey but it is worth it.

I tried the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was sweet and delicious and the meatballs were super tender. The pasta was nice ans fresh. One of the best spaghetti and meatballs Ive ever had.

When: A Monday in February 2023 What: 2 5-course meals Server: Freya (I think thats her name?) Very kind and knowledgable. Environment: Dimly lit. Total of 13 tables. Feels very exclusive. Staff lets you know on arrival that you have your table for 2 hours and after that, you have to ska-daddle. Meal: The 5 course portions are incredibly small. I had anticipated walking out feeling as though I got my moneys worth and that wasnt the case. The bison carpaccio, for instance, was so insanely thin, you could see through it. My partner wasnt particularly impressed with the spaghetti and meatball pasta option either. Overall: Our meal took forever to come out between portions. We were waiting anywhere from 30-45 minutes in some cases. This obviously threw off the schedule for our table for the evening. We felt rushed and helpless to do anything about it, as our meal was slowing it down. The meals themselves were flavourful but I dont think this was enough to save the experience. Final Thoughts: As stated, the food taste was great. Is that enough to bring us back? No.

The experience was lovely but I wasnt a fan of the main dishes. I did the 5 course meal and ordered the t-bone for my main. The food was ok and the service was as could be expected in a setting like that. My issues came from the main course which was an $85 t-bone and the last dish. The t-bone came with some activated charcoal sauce tasted like soy sauce and the meat was swimming in a pool of it and off putting. Any ways it wasnt a good date spot and the volume of noise was defending. I wouldnt recommend this place because of that and price for what I paid.

Id give it one star if it wasnt for the 2009 hipster aesthetic and interior design. So, at least theres that. Portions are small. Food is mediocre. Prices are high. Real amateur vibes. Also on trend for Primal? A good 20 minute wait beyond your scheduled pick up time. Feel the awkwardness as youre made to sit at the front all by yourself, in plain view for all to see. No waiting area? Just one big room? 2009 communal vibes.

It was ok, the spaghetti pomodoro was 31 dollars and was just standard spaghetti. My partner got the risotto and it was a bit better but was also 34 dollars. Its alright but not worth the price for the dishes that Ive tasted. There might be something on the menu for me but I doubt Ill be back to try again. Would personally not recommend unless price isnt a problem for you but even the there are much better options for that price point.

Did someone say pasta? Primal has received national recognition for their offerings which are a blend of traditional with modern fusion elements. The food is generous and delicious! The service was excellent and extremely helpful. And the space is cozy and has a lot of character. Its not in the best part of town but the whole area around Primal is starting to undergo a bit of a renaissance. I love catching these cool off the beaten path finds! 5 x

The food is good (albeit expensive), so it s a decent choice for a night out. But beware that it gets loud in the small space and very hot and uncomfortable. No ac. Several tables fanning themselves with the drink menu.

The food was amazing. We each had the rigatoni with goat cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes - it was fantastic! We also had the smoked olives and fried bread to start, they were very good as well. I was expecting the appetizers to be a little bigger for the price. The service was amazing. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive to our table. Would definitely go again!

The place is kind of in a sketchy area and the decor is a little dated and run down. The food and service was good but not great and small portions for the high price tag? More the $100 for two small plates of pasta and 2 drinks? They don t even serve bread as a starter? Vegetarian options: There were a few options for vegetarians. Parking: We had to park on the street 2-3 blocks away.

We treated ourselves to the five course meal with wine pearing. It was fantastic! Every dish was perfection. The wines selected were very good. Our server was very friendly.

Walk in without reservation. Super busy night. The waitress gave me a glass and whole bottle of water in order to refill it all by myself. Understandable. I sat by the bar. Just ordered a spaghetti carbonara. I waited for 25min. Too many diners made it too noisy. However the food really comforted me. Very old school carbonara, creamy and silky sauce covered the noodles. Rich flavor from pecorino cheese and pancetta. The strong black pepper flavor is the spark of the dish. Classic.

Had to go home and eat more food. I can handle less quantity if the quality is mind blowing but my beef meal was a bad cut. Had a bunch of chewy tendons that I eventually spit out. I know meat is inconsistent but if youre paying a premium for a small quantity, it just doesnt add up imo. Ill stick to the steak places.

Gorgeous restaurant in terms of design. Its a small restaurant so probably best is to come with a reservation to avoid long waiting times. The food was exquisite and every guest loved their choice, with the exception of the pork agnolotti which was too salty for our taste. However, with no hesitation, they took it back and made a new one altering the recipe a little to make it perfect for us. Great service overall and totally worth the extra expense for a nice celebratory dinner. I had the rigatoni with goat cheese and mushrooms, and would definitely recommend it. We often buy dinner with our family at the Primal restaurant to take home, I can honestly say that this restaurant is worth paying attention to, the cuisine here is really delicious and the service staff are pleasant.

I have never had a poor experience at Primal. The food and the service are top notch and Michael is so wonderful when it comes to recommending wines. Primal is unpretentious and you don t feel out of place if you re going out for a last minute dinner in a t-shirt and jeans or if you re dressed to the nines. It s a welcoming environment and I always leave so happy.

Yesterday was our first time at Primal and we had an incredible date night experience. Thank you Ty for being a wonderful host and making us feel very welcomed, and thank you Amber for being so on the ball with service! Anything we needed, she brought! Her menu knowledge resulted in us both being incredibly happy with our meals. We were so well taken care of.

Had a birthday dinner here. Made reservations for two and was asked about any dietary restrictions, which was a pleasant request. Although when we were offered our menus we weren t informed about the the inclusions/exclusions that I expected from the phone call. Nonetheless, we had figured it out by asking our lovely server Nicole. We tried the chicken Alfredo, and spaghetti pomodoro. I was hesitant with trying the rigatoni, goat cheese due the unfamiliarity with the taste and texture but Nicole was kind enough to bring a spoon of goat cheese from the kitchen for me to try and make a better choice. It was good enough for me to try it in the beetroot salad instead and it was really nice. I m glad I had gotten the salad to share this with before our pasta. The chicken Alfredo was delicious and I liked it better than the spaghetti pomodoro. Definitely would recommend both off the menu for others looking for a recommendation. To our surprise our server Nicole, brought out in-house truffles complimentary of our birthday weekend. The truffles were some of the best I ve had, light creamy and rich.

Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu and they were able to provide vegan options. Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate several different dietary restrictions for allergies.

We had a really great dinner at Primal! We tried five dishes and everything was so good, and the service/our server Ariel was amazing. Highly recommend!

It was a bit dark and loud at times, but not too bad. There was a big group sitting at a big table in the middle of the room, but they werent causing any problems. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and being polite. The food was really good, and the cocktails were great too! Ill definitely be back. Its definitely worth the price.

Service was nothing special, as was the atmosphere. The food was good but very expensively for what you are getting. Wine was the most overpriced portion of the meal. You are on a timed allotment for your meal and high ask for gratuity when paying.

We visited with a reservation on a Thursday evening. Though busy, the room felt very homey and comfortable. We had drinks, starters, pasta, and dessert. It was all great, and we appreciated the kind and prompt service.

Wow! Came here on a Tuesday for pasta and wine, and it was so amazing. The spaghetti and meatballs were just perfect, with the meatballs being so tasty and the perfect size for pasta. The tomato sauce was also so good. I also tried my familys pastas and they were great all around. The cream sauce had such a unique and wonderful taste. I would absolutely go again!

Outstanding meal. We had a group and decided to do the family style 3 course meal. It was amazing. No many flavors and textures. Out entire evening, from our cocktails, appetizers, mains and dessert were amazing. And our waiter Connor tied our evening together to make it an outstanding dining experience.

Delicious food and great service!

Fried bread was amazing. Spaghetti and meatballs was 10/10, tasted like lasagna on a plate. Our seats on the side were dimly lit and me and my gf felt it was too dark. Large group tables in the center of the room were brightly lit though. Drinks (raspberry something and lemoncello) and tomato soup appetizer were nothing special of note. TLDR: get a table in the middle of the room, order the fried bread entrée, pastas and mains are amazing.

This was our second visit in a month because the food is that good!! The first time we ordered the five course meal for both of us; it was delicious but we over indulged. This time we asked if we could share and they graciously accommodated us but we also added another appetizer and salad to round out the meal. Every dish was had was a new taste sensation. The service was friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend Primal Pasta for an excellent dining experience. Sorry for lack of pictures, we couldnt wait to eat.

Service was excellent and the drinks were good. The garlic sticks and oysters were incredible! However, this was our third and last time dining with Primal. The pasta dishes are overpriced and lack presentation and protein to make up for it. Was very disappointed to spend almost $30 on a pasta dish for it to include only five small pieces of dried out chicken.

I have loved eating in at Primal and always welcome places like this that elevate the food scene in Saskatoon. While I find the menu offers a tasteful variety, thoughtfully selected and updated, the pizza we ordered for take out did not meet the high expectations I had. Perhaps I was expecting a thinner crust and more elegance in ingredient choice. Nevertheless, Primal is still a favourite of mine for special days. The ambience, service, and delicious pastas will keep you coming back!

We have been to Primal twice and I can not recommend them enough. The service and food is incredible. Highly recommend trying their spiced plum twisted tea it is so so good.

Beware - the desserts will haunt you every night....I must have more of the sorbets and meringue...sorbet and meringue....sorbet...and... meringue...

It was loud. Menu was very bland. 25$ for 3$ worth of spaghetti. Me and my date both left hungry. Drink menu was awful. It was definitely a restaurant for hipster yuppies that care about more appearance than the food itself. Will never go back

Great experience! Im not usually drawn to pasta but it was my boyfriends turn to pick our date night and I am really glad he did. The Cod and squid ink risotto was a perfect portion! Wine pairing were great and the cheesecake DONT skip out on trying it!

Primal never disappoints. Love coming here for a tasty meal made with fresh and local ingredients. The staff are awesome, personable, and knowledgable, even when its busy. Come early if you dont want to be stuck with the rush because every time weve came around 5 and right when we are about to leave it starts filling right up. They are clearly passionate about what they do and you can see that in the food. Very romantic setting and I also enjoy how they use candles at the table when it gets darker. It is for sure worth the price.

Had an incredible experience at Primal for our anniversary. Did the 5 course tasting menu with the natural wine pairing. Price is pretty much on par with many tasting menu s across Canada but it s a ton of food. Our server was so nice and extremely knowledgeable about the wine. My only minor criticism was some of the pasta dishes were overly seasoned and the salt tended to overpower the beautiful ingredients they use.

This is a great place to go for special occasions. The pasta is made in-house and is absolutely delicious. The prices are quite high but it s worth it. The five course meal is the best way to dine here.

Solid overall. Fairly overpriced for what you get. They highlighted that it was all fresh ingredients and locally sourced which can be appreciated. I have definitely had better pasta before but still pretty good overall.

Our server Freya, was so amazing. Very happy/cheerful, and knowledgeable about the specials and what they were. Answered all of our questions. Primal in general is a wonderful little place to go for pasta and other mains. Yes they might be a bit pricey, but its worth it. So amazing with thier flavors and atmosphere. Live going here and taking friends with us.

Not impressed with the chicken Alfredo. The sauce was extremely chalky the chicken tasted like it was boiled unseasoned chicken. The other red sauce pasta had very little flavouring . It had as much flavour as a can of diced tomatoes

I have tried a third of their menu, and have enjoyed everything so far. The fried bread is a must.

Honestly the atmosphere wasn t quite it, I went at 6pm and the restaurant was so loud I couldn t hear the person across from me, let alone my server. I understand wanting a darker lit pub style vibe, but this was not it, seemed like the power was off by the lights, and service was alright, until we asked for to go boxes and our bills and sat there for 25 min waiting for our server to come back and tell us she would be right back with it all . After another 5 min or so she returned with the boxes, but then proceeded to take another 15 min if not longer to return with our bills. Appetizers were great, entrees were just alright.

Perfect experience. Weve been driving across the country and wanted to treat ourselves. We didnt have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us at the bar. Food was perfect, staff was even better, and they made me a perfect boulevardier.

My partner and I dined at Primal last week, and my partner ordered the house made iced tea from the non alcoholic menu. The server ended up serving him the alcoholic iced tea (2oz of vodka) after we made a point to clarify the item on the menu. Needless to say, my partner who has been sober for 11.5 years, was served alcohol in a restaurant for the first time in over a decade. I emailed the manager 6 days ago, but have not received a response. Poor attention to detail, and even worse service recovery.

Would highly recommend the five course meal. Each menu item sounds so good and has such a unique palette, it would be difficult and diminish the experience to stick to just one dish. Each course was appropriately sized so that the full meal could be enjoyed without overeating, and gives you a great variety of tastes to savour. Would definitely recommend it for a date night. Expect a long, delicious meal experience, as opposed to somewhere just to catch a quick bite.

Good food but not very big portions

Holy moly!! The mint and pea ravioli is simply outstanding! One of the best things Ive eaten in a very long time!

Great experience. Friendly attentive staff, well-appointed dining room and not too noisy. Loved my bone marrow and beef. Also shared oysters on the half shell to start. Very good! Hard to get oysters in SK. My son had mushroom risotto and raved about it. My virgin Caesar tasted like I needed a second! Prices are reasonable for quality, service, and the times.

The last two times Ive been to Primal I asked my servers for suggestions. I recommend everyone do that. They certainly have very informed staff and I really look forward to going back for more. My most recent experience I had the mint and pea stuffed ravioli. The server was sure I should order it because they wouldnt have that dish on the menu much longer. She was so right! The restaurant has an intimate feel, the food is outstanding and the service is spectacular.

Amazing food, great service & terrific atmosphere for date night

The fact that you always need to reserve a table gives the impression that it should be outstanding and fancier than other restaurants. However, we didnt feel that spark. The light is so dimmed. Nevertheless, the ambiance was good. The waitress was so friendly and handled a little accident quite nicely. The food was fresh but not as awesome as we expected. The wine was below average. We dont regret the experience, It was nice overall. Still, dont think well consider going again any time soon. Vegetarian options: The menu has a lot of vegetarian options.

GREAT food. We shared a few of appetizers amongst 6 people and each ordered our own mains. I personally had the Mushroom Risotto with Wild + Cultivated Mushrooms; it was AMAZING! We also shared couple of bottles of red wine. Was a busier evening but not necessarily full and it took a while for our mains to come. The server acknowledged it, apologized for the delay and asked if we needed anything in the mean time. Only note would be that each time we needed a server (to order, ask something or get the bill), we had to wait fair bit of time. We will be back many times. Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options on the menu!

The first time visit this strong western atmosphere restaurant, what an impressive meal I got with friend. We got two starters, one is half dozen oysters from Edwards Island; another is Beef Marrow. Really rare to find marrow dishes in town. The main dishes we got are delicious! I have my mushroom risotto as the pic shown. The cheese is so rich and fully cooked with rice, and three different mushrooms are matched so well. Pickled mushroom brings little bit sour which reduced the Parmesan cheese not so rich, and stimulates my tongue to push me eat more. That is amazing! Mushroom risotto is not very rare Italian good to find and cook, somehow, to make it this level with verify flavour taste you need to be professional. That spends longer time to prepare. The atmosphere is very fit for people who want to date. Absolutely in my recommendation list for this restaurant, you should come and visit!

If you like Italian food you need to try Primal. I have done the five course tasting menu twice once with wine pairing once without. To start the food is out of this world and the portions of the tasting menu are the perfect size. The wine were paired perfectly with each course complementing the flavors of every dish. The second time I got of few cocktails instead and they were also fantastic.

Overpriced for poor quality food and service. Still shocked that the kitchen felt proud enough to send out rock hard pavlova. Disgusting.

First time here and a wonderful dining experience. My wife and I shared the 5 course dinner and every bite caused a desire for the next. It is a rare occurrence when absolutely everything is excellent. We will return in the near future.

Came here for my birthday, and loooooved the food. The pasta we got was so rich and the drinks ordered were great! I bit pricey but totally worth it!

Great place a bit fancy for the name but the food brings it all together.

Staff were great and the food was awesome! The bison carpaccio was melt in your mouth delicious! The fresh pasta was so good and my husbands lemon cream finished the dinner nicely. If we lived close, wed be there a lot.

Classic Italian Pasta on your radar? Primal is definitely a must stop. But, you better make a reservation because of this place one of a kind and always busy. Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs? Yep! Kale and Cashew Pesto? Absolutely! Thats actually one of my go-tos! How about Spaghetti Carbonara... accompanied by some house made Fried Bread?? YES! They have that also! The top it off with a piece of Pavlova and a Chocolate Truffle! Deeeelish! Oh, and not in a mood for Pasta? Try their one of a kind Primal Pizza! Its out of this world! Ill be back again soon! Great food. Ordered the five course meal. Between two of us we tried the tomato soup, bison carpaccio, rigatoni and arrabiata pastas, and striploin mains. Meat was cooked well. Recommend the cheesecake for dessert as it was surprisingly light.

Primal has fantastic food, quality ingredients, interesting and varied menu, and a relaxing atmosphere.

Atrocious ambiance - everyone was competing to see who could shout and laugh the loudest. Waiter was rude and the vibe was pretentious but somehow vulgar at the same time. Food was unremarkable and completely overpriced considering the ambiance. Never again.

Some of the nicest of the nicest Italian food Ive had in Saskatoon... But I only got 3 prawns and 1 scallop for an extortionate price. Cmon guys, theres plenty of fish in the sea.

Surprised to see Thao restaurant as top of anything .went here a few years ago .drink glasses and plates they gave us were literally dirty Hadnt been washed .would. It recommend this place .over priced and good chance they will make you sick
