Bienvenidos a Las Palapas! Welcome to “the palapas”, where we wish to enchant you: with our tropical charm, easy living and the laid back lifestyle of a resort grill redolent of the tropics of the Americas. Vibrant colours, tropical plants and lots of sunshine greet you in our splashy little grill. The dining room, lounge and patio are decorated with tropical furniture and fixtures and along with our background musica create the ambiance of that “place in the sun” we all dream of.
This place has a great atmosphere and the people serving there have a great attitude, as if they really enjoy their job and working together. The food was very good and seemed to be quite authentic. The dining area itself also felt authentic. And even when it started filling up, it remained quiet enough for my wife I to easily have a conversation without raising our voices. The alcoholic drinks were a bit pricey, as well as some of the dishes, but next time I won't get a special drink and that fixes it for me. We ordered 3 different appetizers and split them. We're not huge eaters but it was plenty to be honest. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to visit again soon.
The decor in here is really bright and tropical. Our server was genuine and attentative. The food was worth the price. The best thing on the menu was the coconut shrimp, I am so happy it was de-veiened since I'm picky about that. The tacos are all good too.
Las Palapas exceeded our expectations on our first visit! We chose to have the beef and seafood enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, making them a must-try on their menu. The iced tea was exceptional, perfectly complementing the meal. The staff, especially April, were incredibly friendly and efficient, enhancing our dining experience. They made us feel welcomed and attended to. The ambiance at Las Palapas is delightful, with a genuine Mexican vibe that adds to the dining experience. It's cozy yet vibrant, perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. As a bonus, on our way out, we couldn't resist grabbing some tortilla chips to-go, which were also fantastic. We can't wait to visit again!
We came for lunch/ early supper on Saturday Being from a town outside Saskatoon (1hr) we try to try a different resturant every saturday The min we walked in we were greeted and brought to our table Few moments later our waiter came to take our drink/food order We had the chips salsa to start 100% 👍 I ordered the meat burrito and the home made sauce 100%👍 The wife ordered chicken/rice bowl 100%👍 Both came and were so fresh, tasty, hot The food, service, and resturant were great, NOTHING to complain or gripe about We will DEFINITELY be back for eating again I would recommend Las Palapas Resort Grill to everyone who likes authentic Mexican food in the city
Great food, good vibes. There were quite a few vegetarian/vegan options. Tried the shrimp tacos which were delicious. The sweet potato fries were so good.
I wish we could have one place like that one in Regina. It was so beautiful inside and outside. The place sends you to another destination, making you feel like you are in Cuba. The food was so good. The people inside were polite and kind. It was my first time visiting the place and I loved it. High recommended to visit this restaurant when you travel to Saskatoon.. the prices looked normal, not high, not cheap.
Originally was full when we got there. 20-25 minute wait. I had 2 friends from Calgary coming to meet me. The place is very nicely decorated. The atmosphere is tropical, beachy. The servers were great. The food was delicious! I would easily recommend this place to anybody. We had food allergies to be wary of. The staff were attentive and asked the right questions to attend to the matter. All in all, a great meal, company, and establishment. I had a great Mohito. My friends enjoyed some Margaritas. I think the price was within reason.
I was here a short time ago for dinner with a group of family. It was my first time back here in quite some time. Las Palapas was much bigger than most of us could remember. It has many different sections or areas with lots of tables and a bar area to sit at. It’s much bigger than it feels like when you first walk in and the atmosphere was very good for a Mexican restaurant in Saskatoon. The service here was also very good and helpful with any questions we had about the food or drinks. Now for the food we got a couple orders of the taco chips to start and try, they were okay but nothing special compared to many of the other Mexican restaurants I have been to. You also have to order the chips as a side or extra as pretty much every other Mexican restaurant I have been to either brings you them automatically with out even asking for free or at least the first batch. I also had the fajitas for two that were very good and it was definitely for two. You get 8 wraps 4 wheat and 4 corn or swap them out so all 8 are the same as we did, chicken, beef, shrimp, cheese, lettuce, and a few sauces. There is other sides you can get with your fajitas for a fee that you normally get at other Mexican restaurants but for the two of us this was enough and we didn’t need them. We both enjoyed our fajitas and we all enjoyed the atmosphere and time together here. I would come back here again in the future.
Enjoyed fish and shrimp tacos for lunch yesterday. Fun atmosphere
Friendly staff great service and delicious food.
Visited Las Palapas for a staff Christmas Party. The food, drinks, atmosphere and service was all amazing. We had a group of 30 and had a blast. I would highly recommend for a staff, family, or friend group Christmas!
As vegetarians this was one of our favourite places to come. Now, the veg menu options are mediocre at best since the removal of the jackfruit. I wouldnt recommend it as a vegetarian friendly restaurant seeing as the bean replacement leaves much to be desired. We wont be back again soon.
Great food, excellent service
Had a great lunch! Fast friendly service:)
Server was excellent. Im used to USA Mexican food, so I prefer rice n beans with everything and fresh salsa. Their menu has opened back up where you can order these sides again. Dietary restrictions: They offer a gf selection
Very good food, the waitresses where cute kind friendly and also funny. It felt like I was on a resort by the beach
My food was very cold! And the juice of the meat was alot so the bread was soaked in and tore while eating. Food
First time here & the last. Was there for a birthday party Friday, the service wasn t that great. The waitress made the birthday girl order when she wasn t ready yet. They refused to allow us to have the birthday cake in the restaurant, which I ve never heard of any restaurant doing that before. We had to ask for items several times before getting it. I had the nachos with the beef and the beef was cold. Several of us ended up sick after eating the food, myself was one of them. Worse experience I ve ever had at a restaurant which sucks since the prices of items are pricey. Not worth the money unfortunately. There was about 30-40 of us & every single one of us left disappointed.
Very impressed with this restaurant! I had the LP Mexi-Bowl and it was DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is so appealing and enhances the dining experience. The prices of food were not too bad in my opinion. I was happy with what I paid vs. what I got. Our food was also served very quickly for the amount of people that were in there. There isnt much parking besides the side streets around the building, so be prepared for that.
Great food, great service. Highly recommend!!
Always a great experience! Good is consistently excellent and staff all seem to genuinely enjoy working there. We are always welcomed with warmth and smiles! Parking: Parking is available on the side street about 1/2 block away from restaurant.
Server was super nice, the food was good as always, and it was quick! I love the LP mexi bowl with shrimp!
Food and service was great. Off seasoned outdoor patio seems attractive however interior decor seemed faded.
Incredible food and service
Great ambience and service, the food was nice although it could have been better if it was more hot/ warmer than it was. It felt like premade lukewarm/ cold dishes regardless of what you ordered. I love the deco of the place and how attentive the team was but food could be improved a bit! Just take notice of food temperature please!
Have to say that the service at the restaurant is 2nd to none. I have a dish that I normally get for pickup. Its usually perfect 90% of the time. (Im particular about it), but on one occasion it was not up to their usual standards. I called to let them know, and they made me a new order and delivered it directly to me at no extra charge. Thats above and beyond. Thank you to Jason and his staff for going the extra mile and more!
Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dishes here and how fresh everything was, from the fruit in the cocktails to the shrimp in my quesedilla. Lots of flavor and real unique and authentic food choices. The carne asada Chipotle was a really good starter for 3 people.
Food was great and plenty of it
So good! Amazing service and amazing food.
Went there for lunch after hearing my husband rave about this place. The food was amazing and the drinks were also just as good. Wonderful atmosphere and decor
Food was good Drinks was good Excellent customer service Food : 4/5
Excellent location for food and drink Parking: Parking can be tricky, mostly free street parking Food : 5/5 |
Food was great, staff were friendly and helpful. Will go again.
The atmosphere here and everything in between is super amazing!!! Live this place! Will be back again!! Fully recommend
The atmosphere is amazing music is good and the place looks like a typical Mexican restaurant, the only problem is the food is mediocre, I get we are in Canada and Canadians are not used to the spices and seasoning but common that should be the purpose of having a Mexican restaurant to bring that flavour and culture to their table.
Best Mexican food in Saskatoon hands down
Would rate the service lower if I could, we had automatic gratuity on the bill so it felt as though we were wasting the waitress s time from her attitude and remarks. Wouldn t recommend eating here
The system didnt work and they didnt let us stay
Great food great service. Very interesting authentic Mexican feel and flavor.
Server was bad to deal with. Poor attitude
Our family dined here tonight and it was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere and service can t be beat. Everything we ordered was delicious. Everyone in our family enjoyed their meal. Delicious Pina Coladas, coconut shrimp, chips and guac and tacos. We ll be back for sure!
The friendly staff were the best part of the experience. The kitchen could not make fajitas at dinner so we ordered bean enchiladas. The soup was OK, having flavour and texture. Guacamole and chips tasted like mashed avocado and salt with store-bought corn chips. The enchiladas came mildly warm and were seasoned for a western childrens or seniors palette. I was reminded of Chef Boyardee canned pasta by the sauce. I dont usually leave food on the plate, but I made an exception here. Some folks are probably drawn to the giant beverages and resort-style food. Vegetarian options: Limited number of vegetarian options.
Loved the fish and the shimp tacos. The margarita of the day was awesome!!! Great place to eat.
Coconut shrimp were amazing!
We came from Regina to watch a movie in Saskatoon and unfortunately the show was cancelled and we got so upset. This restaurant caught our eye when while we were going around the city and glad we decided to go for it. Lovely food, wonderful ambience and excellent service. This place really changed our minds , we finally came out of our sad faces to Happy one :) I hope you open one in Regina someday. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are minimal but good
I had the shrimp tacos. Somewhat boring, needs more fillings. The meals that the others had seemed better. May come back. On the plus side, its decently cheap.
Delicious
I love the vibes here. Food is pretty great!
Im giving 2 stars. We found the restaurant quite lovely, decorations were beautiful, music a bit loud. My husband and I ordered enchiladas and they were very good but overpriced 3 corn enchiladas for $18.99 is quite expensive especially since they were served alone. No beans and rice accompanied the plate.
Honestly, from outside, I thought it was going to be smaller than it was. Loved the atmosphere inside, my drink was delicious, and the beef enchiladas were even better. Next time Im in Saskatoon I will go again.
Food was great. Atmosphere was good. Waitress was anything but polite. Had decided no tip due to her abrupt rudeness and the tip was added onto our bill we had no choice on tipping. Ive worked has a server and the better job you do the more tip youll likely get. Would not recommend going if you have more than 4 people in your group.
This place misses the mark for me. The chicken lacks any real flavour and feels like it was made in crock pot. The bowl is practically entirely corn. Sweet potato fries as a base is an odd pick. Think they d be better off sticking to tried and true recipes (i.e. rice) rather than reinventing the wheel. Disappointed if this is the best Mexican that the city has to offer. Also, not for nothing but the value for money on takeout just simply isn t there. I m not sure if the in-restaurant portions are bigger but I felt cheated by the portion.
I am still shocked at how much it is to dine out. One drink and one appetizer, which were on special, was 40$....tip included. Both items were just ok.
Great authentic Mexican food. Arguably the best Mexican food in Saskatoon.
Amazing food, the waiter that helped us was the best. I would recommend the Carne Diablo Quesadillas. This restaurant is a must!
Too bad about wasps on the patio
Such a fun place, always beyond impressed
EXCELLENT FOODDDDDDDD AND AMBIANCE!!!!
Went on taco Tuesday, great service, tacos were great.
Visited from England . Had a lovely family meal. Large and tasty portions. Hope to visit again next time we are over.
Great service, great food, very quick seating for 2 people, and lovely people!! We are from out of town and loved it!
Food was good service was ok, took forever for food and dessert took over 30 minutes and still didnt arrive. When we finally went to pay she said my desert was ready and I said we will take it to go..... picture attached......this is worth $10? Dont waist money on desert there!
Not an authentic Latin American food experience, but at least the drinks were well made.
Strange location for such a wonderful restaurant it was a wonderful experience
Visiting from out of province for few days and already went twice, loved the food and atmosphere. Staff were pleasant and the for was so fresh and flavorful :)
Pretty good. Not amazing, but good. Service was excellent.
Always been our favourite
Highly recommended Mexican restaurant, the food is all very unique and the restaurant decor is great. The waiters can get busy with the large number of people at meal times
Best Mexican food in town!!
I had a LP pork bowl and a dark and stormy cocktail. great taste and flavour! Will be back!
My wife & I picked this restaurant from internet and were not disappointed. The place was busy but service was great, food was delicious, well presented & very tasty. The mojito needs some improvement but beer was great. All in all best meal we had in Saskatoon & reasonably priced. Parking: Close to restaurant on street.
Best coconut shrimp and chili sauce around. Pozole bar = 10/10. Tuesday taco deal is great. Tasty enchiladas.
Tacos were okay. The highlight was the LP Mexi Bowls. We had to get extra chips. Girlfriend got the blended strawberry margarita and I ordered the mojitios black. Both very good! Food
Im not sure I understand the hype, the restaurant is neat, and the service is always good, but the food just seems underwhelming to me? There just seems to be a lack of great flavour and Im not a huge fan of the beef/steak they offer. Maybe I have to try a few different menu items, before I can truly recommend Las Palapas.
Especially like the unique and colorful vibe when weather permits outdoor dining.
I took my wife and daughter here for my wifes birthday. We ordered our food including an appetizer and drinks. It took a long time for my beer to get there, our appetizer never came. When our food came, I asked the hostess about the appetizer and was told it hadnt been ordered and wasnt on the bill. I told her not to bother ordering it since we already had our meals. I had to get up and ask for cutlery, my daughters meal was wrong. It took some time to get both the cutlery and my daughters meal corrected. By the time she got her meal, my wife and I were nearly done ours. When the bill came, they hadnt adjusted it for the special I ordered. On top of that, they had charged us for the appetizer we never got. I only saw it this morning when a coworker was asking because he was thinking of taking his family there. Needless to say, he changed his mind after hearing about our dinner experience.
Las Palapas is a amazing Resort Grill....A family managed restaurant serving the best Mexican food in Saskatoon - A MUST VISIT. The staff is super friendly. We were attended to by Kaylin, who was a super hostess - Thank you Kaylin. The cocktails are also a strong reason to visit the place again. Overall, a very good luncheon experience on a Sunday afternoon. We look forward to experience the homely atmosphere very soon again. :)
This meal was so amazing. We all ate every last crumb. Every crumb. Every LAST singular crumb.
The coconut shrimp are delicious! The tower was fun to try.
Was recently taken here for the first time by some family - the service was amazing and quick and the food was awesome. We ordered prawns and chicken tacos.
Always excellent service and food Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options Food : 5/5 |
Beautiful little building, feels authentic, alcohol drinks start at $10, there is a kids menu just its located on the table instead of on the menu. Pepsi products. Food
I would give 6 stars!! Beautiful atmosphere and extremely delicious food, so authentic! Food
Delicious food. The chicken enchiladas with corn tortillas are one of the best meals I have ever eaten! The sweet potato fries are a perfect side.
The food tast ok but its very expensive for what you re getting we order The fajita for two but it s not even enough for one. I have to go and ask the waiter to take our order... Food
Welcoming atmosphere and very friendly service. The portions were perfect and very filling. Definitely the best coconut shrimp I have tasted, huge pieces of shrimp and perfectly crisp crust. Their Jackfruit vegetarian option was also excellent. Highly recommend a visit!
Really good food
Wonderful place. Cant believe we havent found it sooner. Easy parking, great service, excellent food, authentic atmosphere. Well absolutely be back soon Parking: Corner of Victoria and Main. Plenty of street parking at noon Saturday
I had the mango margarita here, it was fantastic. If the food is as good as the drinks then it too must be great. Service was very slow and the outdoor eating area is a bit rundown.
Very good Mexican spot in Saskatoon
Even on a busy day, our waters were always full, and our food was top tier. Forever a favorite in saskatoon
Food and drinks are always fantastic! Great service as well! Must check out!!
Shrimp tacos cant be beat! I dont think theres a bad item on the menu.
Amazing Mexican ambience and food. Pocket friendly as well
Very tasty food.
Nice patio, good music, could use some spice in certain dishes but all in all good
Theyve been consistently great for many years.
Food is amazing and tried the drinks this time . Very delicious and tasty Service was also very fast . Time well spent Dietary restrictions: Vegan options
Honestly avoid this place even thou I live close to it. Everything is so darn expensive. $50 dollars for 2 feature margaritas and 2 house tequila shots . Food
Been here dozens of times, can t really say enough good things about this place. Whenever I m in town it s nice to know we can stop here and have a quality meal. It s not only good, it s consistently good. I can recall maybe one time I had an over done burrito wrap but out of the many times we have been there it was no worry. I think the location and atmosphere inside is great. It s not overdone, but it also separates itself from other Mexican places we have tried. If I could make a top highlight of this place, it s the consistency of the food. It really does feel like every-time we stop here we know exactly what we re getting, and end up leaving feeling the same. This is the place I recommend to everyone when it comes to top places to eat in Saskatoon. 9 times out of 10 when we decide to try something new in Saskatoon we end up coming here anyways. Just too damn good las palapas.
Most amazing tacos in Saskatoon
Just came for drinks
I have only been to Las Palapas 3 times but it has always been excellent. Will definitely be back.
Granted, it was a busy Saturday. Waited for our table and took about 10 minutes for a server to see us. Ordered food at 615 and then waited until 650 and still hadn t received any food (only 2 entrees). Had to take it to go at that point as we had a previous engagement to attend. Small portion for the price, but the food still tasted decent.
Today, we stopped in for a snack and ordered two chicken quesadillas. One for my son and one for my partner and I to share. Ours was so soggy on one side, and when I opened it, there was no chicken on my half. I didnt order a cheese quesadilla, but thats what I got! We ate ohr food and carried on, but the server didnt even come back until we had finished. The service was not good and it wasnt busy, and the food was awful. I will not go back.
Worst food I have ever tried to eat. No one in my group could eat their order. All of the meat looked disgusting and tasted even worse. The chicken in the quesadillas was canned chicken. It was just all gross. My first and last time coming here.
Restaurant had a nice vibe, music was great, server was friendly but food was just decent for my husband and I. Definitely NOT authentic Mexican food, did not have any of the Mexican flavours it should have. I ordered the chicken Enchiladas and they were drenched in what tasted like store bought tomato sauce and the portion is small for what you pay. Nothing comes with any sort of side. My husband had a chipotle beef burrito, said it was decent but definitely wouldn t pay $18 for that burrito again.
The fish taco is so amazing that I had to get another order. For me, there is a first time for everything that evening it was the time to try something different. I do believe that I tasted the best fish taco ever made. I wish I had taken a photo, the look, taste and presentation on a fish taco, 5 stars. 10! A must try!
Great Mexican food and atmosphere at very reasonable prices. Will be back for sure.
A nice evening out.
The guac and chips half order is the perfect snack with the traditional margarita. Shrimp tacos are so full of filling my fav and never tried the fish tacos before they were fantastic and I think mango salsa was in there too so yummy!!
Ordered food and ready promptly. Always amazing, whether while dining in or taking out
Everything is delicious! Especially the coconut shrimp
Really nice restaurant. Staff is super friendly and kind. Food is very flavorful and good portions. And the atmosphere is really enjoyable. I would highly recommend trying this place out.
Dietary restrictions: There are a lot of options for Gluten free people Food
Ill keep this to the point: Coconut shrimp, not a huge portion, but very delicious! Tacos, not nearly as flavourful as they should be. Good, but not worth going back for. Fish was best one if you are looking for one. Guac, too soupy, not flavourful. Salsa, oddly enough it was dry. Feels like it was made a day or two before and nobody thought to remix it before the dinner rush started, so all the juces had gone to the bottom and our salsa came from the dry ingredients at the top. Chips, stale. Rice, could barely eat a few bites. Id rather have plain white rice. Service, nice enough, but not very thoughtful. The server took away our plates after appetizer, cool ok, thats nice. No new plates were brought when we shared the taco platter. Also, an allergy had been mentioned by one of the group, and yet multiple dishes showed up without the allergen removed.
We love Las Palapas! It s our go-to restaurant. Everything is fresh, well priced and super tasty.
Delicious!
Great visit this rainy afternoon used a $10 birthday certificate. Excellent service and food. Definitely will head back again. Atmosphere is always like a little vacation. Parking: Good to go when it s not prime hours for meals, but I ve never had trouble finding street parking.
Las Palapas serves as a microcosm of existentialism, blending the essence of being with the essence of flavor. Each dish, a manifestation of the chefs creative prowess, embodies the essence of existence complex, multifaceted, and rich with meaning. The menu, a testament to the diverse landscapes of Mexico, beckons the diner to embark on a gastronomic odyssey. From the fiery depths of molten salsa to the serene heights of creamy guacamole, Las Palapas offers a spectrum of flavors that mirror the human experience itself. In the realm of aesthetics, Las Palapas transcends mere sustenance to become an artistic expression. Every dish is a canvas, meticulously crafted with colors, textures, and shapes that evoke a symphony of emotions. Its not just food; its a visual and tactile journey that nourishes not only the body but also the soul. Moreover, dining at Las Palapas fosters a sense of communal unity, echoing the ideals of social contract theory. Here, strangers become companions, bound by the shared experience of savoring lifes pleasures. In breaking bread together, patrons affirm their interconnectedness, transcending the boundaries of individuality to embrace the collective spirit of humanity. In essence, Las Palapas is more than just a restaurant its a philosophical sanctuary where existential musings intertwine with culinary craftsmanship. It invites us to ponder the nature of existence while indulging in the simple joys of food and fellowship. As the philosopher Epicurus once said, We should look for someone to eat and drink with before looking for something to eat and drink. And in Las Palapas, one finds both sustenance for the body and nourishment for the soul.
We brought our 8 Month old with us today and they instantly wanted to make sure they had our baby settled and that we were comfortable with his booster chair. They were fast with bringing drinks and the food didn t take long considering it being around 6:30 on a Saturday. The waitresses we had were great and the environment was well king. We also loved that they had guacamole fresco which was just plane avocado which was awesome for our little one! We will definitely be coming back more!
Be sure to check your bills! I accidentally double tipped because of the gratuity charge.
Excellent and healthy food at reasonable prices.
It s so prettyyyy and the chipotle ribs were so GOOD!
Food tasted great like always. I had the chipotle beef poblano bowl. Tasted great. My only gripe was the sweet potato fries seemed like they may have been sitting awhile. May not be the case though. Tasted great nonetheless. Highly recommended Food : 5/5 |
My experience here tonight definitely doesn t define this restaurant but showcases the quality of the staff working. The restaurant was not busy but somehow it took over 20 mins to get our orders taken. At the end, we wanted to order more drinks and we were told sorry i forgot to tell you that our bar is closed , not sure if it s common here but i feel like a last call would have been good. I ve had many great experiences here but tonight was not one of those nights.
We got gift cards at Christmas for Las Palapaa and went to try it out. Did not disappoint!!! 10/10 all around.
Decent place. Just their old food. Not every single thing on the menu needs guacamole on it..
Great food, wonderful service and atmosphere, as always.......
Las Palapas is an absolute vibe. The decor in the main restaurant is delightful to take in and very unique, with lots of bright eye catching detail. While the bar area is a dark but relaxing area under a canopy of thatched sections of ceiling that dangle down (only complaint is how low they hang, expect to duck if youre tall). The food and drinks are delicious every single time, filling a need for the taste of the tropical South and delivering exactly what you would expect of high end Mexican food. Its great for nights out where you want a casual feel without sacrificing quality. Waitstaff is very friendly and helpful too.
Excellent service, great friendly staff, delicious food and lovely ambiance. Have been going there for several years and will definitely be back Vegetarian options: Vegetarian burritos, tacos and other dishes available. No problem.
I was seated at the lounge and got great service from Abby
Love the atmosphere, love the food, love the service!! Great place to go. Parking: Usually can find a parking spot within close walking distance. Food : 5/5 |
We got the chipotle beef burrito and the carne diablo quesadilla. Both were excellent. We will be back.
From the last time I was there the food was uncomparible. Was not very good . My quesadia had nothing in it. Very disappointed
It was busy but we never waited for anything ! Fast service and good team work was obvious
Delicious food and great service
Always great service and food here. Cant miss when in Saskatoon
Attentive server, excellent food. Great atmosphere. Not sure what improvements could be made based on this visit. Parking: Plenty of spots to park on the street.
Authentic Mexican food! Excellent service, and one of my favorite restaurants!
I used to love Las Palapas but my last few experiences have just been so disappointing. We got the margarita tower for my sister-in-law birthdays a year ago and all 3 of us felt like there was no alcohol in it at all. They took away the sides (rice and beans) from many of the dishes (e.g., enchiladas) which leaves a piddly amount of food (also, arent those the cheapest sides?) And the last time we went, they were out of 3 or 4 (out of 7) imported beers that my boyfriend asked for. The servers have always been lovely but its just not at all what it used to be.
It was good food and the service was prompt professional and friendly will
Waitress was exceptionally helpful in helping us order and her friendly attitude made it an enjoyable
The place was busy, service was still excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delivered quickly.
The food was great. A little pricey, though, for the amount served.
My absolute favourite restaurant. I moved in August 2023, and it is in my top 3 things I miss about leaving Saskatoon. I was there often enough that a few staff knew my order haha! LP has authentic Mexican food and a super cozy atmosphere! My favourite area to sit is on the far side under the palms! I can t wait to come back! Highly recommended: Mission tacos (or really any tacos) Guac and chips!! And any of these cocktails are to die for!
Very tasty Enchiladas Mole con Pollo. Excellent service. They understood Celiac (no gluten) food restrictions and made good options.
Cool little place! The food is not really authentic Mexican. I was expecting better.
Really cold flour and corn fajitas served with overdone steak, chicken & shrimp on a sizzle plate tasting kind of burnt with cold condiments...39$. Pricey for mediocre food but terrific ambience!
The only place to go for authentic Mexican in Saskatoon! Always top notch all around!
Had the best margarita I ve had in a restaurant ever! With resposado if you like margaritas you HAVE to try them here! I had tacos, campechanos and fish. Personally I really liked the fish, lightly battered for a crunch and generally super delicious! The Campechanos was VERY spicy. Dietary restrictions: Flour or corn tortillas available for GF people. Parking: Beside the convenience store and patio, maybe 10 spots Kid-friendliness: Kids menu!
We went on taco Tues so tacos were a dollar off. They were delicious but you need 3 or 4 to be full. Margaritas come in a small glass with lots of ice and are very expensive. All in all was very good, just a bit pricey for lunch. Could do with some cheaper lunch specials. Food and service were excellent.
Oh my god..! first of all the atmosphere of the restaurant is just 10000/10 , its such a genuine Mexican restaurant feel, lots of beautiful colours, and beautiful wall hangings .. not to mention the DELICIOUS smell of the place when first entering. i got the regular nachos, they were good, wish it had diced tomatoes or like one more ingredient on-top, but the best part was the medium salsa i had on the side.. so FRESH and just so DELICIOUS. my mom got the chicken enchiladas and said it was the best enchiladas she has ever had. service was good, and the lady i spoke with on the phone when i ordered was super patient and kind. would 100% recommend to eat here for people looking for a Mexican food place in saskatoon.
Nice décor with good food.
Very good, quality food. Will definitely be back.
Loved this place. The pork tacos (with corn tortillas) were amazing. Guacamole was great too, as well as the horchata.
Las Palapas Mexican Restaurant left us absolutely thrilled! The vibe was amazing, setting the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. The drinks were not only delicious but also complemented the overall ambiance. Now, lets talk about the food the pulled pork and chicken enchiladas were nothing short of phenomenal, reaching a whole new level of flavor. The quesadillas also stood out with their goodness. Were pleasantly surprised how adorable each meal was! We loved every moment there and cant wait to revisit next time were in town. A definite must-try!
Food was acceptable, it lacks the Mexican flavor punch of ingredients or sauces homemade, almost everything tasted store bought. I think they could be a lot better, the restaurant is quite nice and has the potential to become a 5 Star Yucatecan Food Reference.
We had blast having a Surprise birthday party with over 40 people at Las Palapas. Communicating and organizing with Jason was a breeze. The food was fantastic and the service was flawless. Thank you for the amazing evening!! Food
Love this place. Food is outstanding, staff and atmosphere are wonderful and prices are reasonable.
Always the best! Coconut margaritas and the fried chicken taco are my favorite. best Mexican restaurant in the city
Fresh and tasty.
Delicious food, superb staff, and a delightful atmosphere. Thank you, Las Palapas.
Good service, warm and inviting atmosphere
Great service and great food. The only complaint is the enchiladas were warm to cool in the very middle and hot on the ends. Found the same with the burrito I had the first time we came a month ago. Needs a little longer bake time. Still very delicious.
Great service and friendly staff
An absolute gem of an authentic Mexican restaurant in Saskatoon. Food, drinks, and service were all top-notch. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Mexican treat.
Food, service, ambience and almost everything about this place is amazing. Servers recommend you the changes in dishes considering your ethnicity which is commendable. They provided us some off the menu items like cut strawberries for kids which is amazing and i was impressed how they made sure our requests are taken care of. Please note they catered to all our needs on a Saturday night when they were crazy busy. And the food and drinks here is awesome specially their margarita towers. Thank you team for this amazing experience. Will definitely visit more often.
Food is okay, ambience is good.
Took my girlfriend here for the first time and she absolutely loved it! Such a friendly staff and comfortable environment. I highly recommend the Chipotle beef burrito. So good. Favorite Mexican restaurant hands down!
Great food, drinks and atmosphere. This place is unbelievable good!
Drinks are amazing as well as their guacamole dip and chips. Will come back great atmosphere, friendly staff, and food was delish! Dietary restrictions: They had some gluten free options or options to make the dish gluten free .
