Top notch Mexican within walking distance! Very authentic and amazing dishes - we had tacos and a burrito, and they have tortillas to go! And Mexican beer to top it all off. 10/10!
was recommended this place, as my favourite latino restaurant closed down. i was told the food was truly authentic and this couldn’t be more true! all of the staff were very friendly, and you could here the cooks laughing happily in the back which is something me and my father loved, because it creates a warm vibe and shows they love what they do. me and my father both had flautas, which were very good. they weren’t the best i’ve ever had, but were still very good and are now easily the best you can find in the city(trust me!). i also understand that due to being in saskatchewan it can be difficult to access seasonings that may be required. they serve alcohol here which is nice considering not all family owned businesses do. they only have one dessert option which was very yummy but i hope they add more in the future. i will definitely be back here, and this is totally mine and my fathers new favourite restaurant!!❤️
I was on the hunt for tostadas, and Mi Tierra knocked it out of the park - they were just like in Mexico! The staff were all so friendly and happy. The food was fresh and flavorful, highlighting the ingredients. Love the laid back space - we will definitely be back to try other menu items.
I’ve been to this restaurant a few times, and it has never disappointed! Last night, I decided to try tamales because I have not really enjoyed them in the past, and I thought this restaurant might “do them right.” And they did!! I enjoyed the firmer texture (no mush!), and the pork option was delicious!! Came with beans and rice for $18. They’re recently become licensed, with red wine, white wine, bottled Mott’s caesars, and variety of beer options. Unfortunately, no margaritas (yet)! I had also booked us for a group event and worked with Nicole to make sure we were looked after. Her, along with all the other staff, were superb and made our evening perfect!! Everyone commented on how fresh the food was. And for a Wednesday, they were very busy with a packed house!!
Love this place. Best quesabirria in the city. My dad introduced me to this place as his student’s family owns it. Everyone that has served us has been amazing and the food is always great, I have been suggesting it to my friends non stop.
We tried Mi Tierra Restaurant for the first time after reading many positive reviews, and everyone was right. The food here is absolutely amazing. 😋 I had the Birria Quesabirrias, and my husband had Tamales. My quesaburrias were so tasty with lots of beef and cheese. I had the cilantro on the side. My husband's tamales were delicious also. I had the hibiscus water, which was quite refreshing. 🌺 They also sell Jarritos (soda), which are really good. The service was fantastic and everyone was very friendly. 👏 Loved the atmosphere with its Mexican decor. We'll definitely be back! 😊
Amazing family restaurant! Everything was so fresh and delicious! My partner was so excited because he hadn't had tamales in over 10 years and they did not disappoint! Highly recommended. Pictured are the tamales and the torta.
I had the sopas and they are the best I’ve ever had!! Everything including the soaps shell is made in house! So thick with toppings and fresh and delicious! The hot sauce is made in house (green and red) also is very good with lots of flavour - they also have Valentina's on the table if you prefer. Bright colored walls and Mexican music playing - it easy to forget you’re still in Saskatoon. The staff are all one family - from Mexico and they are so friendly, they make you feel like they invited you over for dinner! They are now licensed to serve your favourite alcoholic beverage with your meal. Amazing food & drinks, service, and prices make this a must go-to place.
Found it disappointing overall. I have been searching for a good Mexican Restaurant Like I found everywhere in the US. One that serves an enchilada saucy (tomato) cheesy style where they serve it on a plate so hot they warn you be careful not to touch. Maybe it was what I ordered but the food was a bit dry and bland. The plate was cold and the food got lukewarm very fast on it.
Should work on spices as adding spices and chilling after food is made it s doesn t not go well.
Good, real, Mexican food. The staff were wonderful, the ambiance is plain. On the night of our visit it was super smoky smelling inside, but I suspect that was just a one night anomaly. Some friends told us theyd never experienced this there before. Food

This was some of the most authentic Mexican food Ive had in western Canada! Was thoroughly impressed!
I had a birria sub with a side of beans. I asked for chips so my friend could help me finish the beans. I also had hibiscus aguas frescas. The house hot sauce was very good. My friend says this place is the closest she can get to authentic Mexican food in Saskatoon. Kid-friendliness: I saw a couple high chairs.

Super chill vibes in there and the food tasted like I was legitimately in Mexico! I really liked the taste of their hot sauce but I put wayyyyyy too much and almost died. Be careful with that stuff. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options!

Sooooo good. Best Mexican food in the city. Torta with a side of rice and beans (extra to add another side) blew my socks off. Wife was amazed by the lengua tacos, and there was a great kids meal for our child. Comfortable dining area with plenty of seating. Staff were very kind and attentive.

Went there for the first time with the husband. The service was great, food was awesome and we will definitely return. I had the Sopes but with beef instead of the chicken and the husband had the flautes and the were hot and crispy and had good flavour. The side of beans and rice were also flavourful and good together. We also had a side of chips and salsa. Chips are crunchy and we had the green verde for dipping and it was perfect. We will most definitely be back :)

We live two provinces away and stopped at this restaurant on a whim during a cross-country road trip. My husband is planning excuses to return to Saskatoon just so we can eat here again.

We ve dined in several times and had takeout and we keep going back! All of the menu items have been great and the family that runs the restaurant is wonderful. Love having this in our neighbourhood! I have enjoyed this awesome food 2 times now. Take out and dine in. Both were extremely fresh mexicain dishes that tasted very authentic and because of this makes this my number 1 mexicain restaurant in the city. The staff was friendly and the both experiences were very great food.

Went here on a Thursday night around 6:30. I ordered the flauta s and my wife had the enchiladas which are basically the same thing except flautas are fried crispy. We noticed other tables getting chips and salsa to snack on so we had to order those too. We ordered mild salsa so just a warning it was hotter than expected which I didn t mind but my wife couldn t eat it. Great flavour and the tortilla chips are freshly made. After a few minutes our main courses came and both were delicious. They came with refried beans and rice which had great flavour. Service was excellent and staff were attentive and super friendly. Prices were $18 for each main dish which is very reasonable. Although we only had water, they have a selection of Mexican beer and pop. There s also gluten free options. Definitely will be back to try other things on the menu.

Wonderful food, excellent staff! We lived in Texas for many years and have had some authentic Mexican food. This definitely brought back memories! My wife and I went for a late lunch but two hours after we left the restaurant, we came back with our kids. they wanted tacos so we brought them to tacos. And they approve!! Next time, I ll have to get them the adult size portion because they just inhaled kids size portion will definitely be coming back and already recommended them to my family

This is hands down the best Mexican food I ve had in Saskatoon. The Carne Asada was perfect, everything was so flavourful, and the staff was so warm and attentive!

Tried this place for the first time. I got the Quesabirria, and it was great. I love that they give you the broth too - all birria MUST have the broth!! Their spicy salsa is definitely spicy, but they also have a mild option, so dont be scared. Great service, Im looking forward to return to try the rest of the menu.

We LOVE Mi Tierra! We have been almost weekly since they ve opened and tried everything on the menu. Everything is great but the quesa birria is AMAZING! The tostadas are a great, tasty healthy choice. The veggies are always super fresh and the meat is deliciously flavoured. They now have a great kids menu and are licensed with a great selection of beer. The servers are really nice, the place has a friendly, family feel and they are really good people that I am happy to support. Highly recommend. We have eaten great Mexican food in Mexico, Arizona, California, etc. and this place is up there! Don t miss trying it! Kid-friendliness: They are so sweet with our four year old and he dances and has so much fun there. Great, affordable kids menu.

Today was my first time at this new authentic Mexican restaurant. I had the quesabirria whats this flavorful and delicious. The consomme could be a little more thicker and spicier but still it was very nice and flavorful. Flautas were crispy with sauce, refried beans, greens. They were really good. Last but not least I ordered the gringa. They also were really good. As for my first experience I give it an 8 out of 10. The staff was really nice . Hreat menu.Thank you for the great food and I will be back. Have yourself a great weekend.

Great experience today at Mi Tierra Mexican Restaurant. The food was very delicious. We had the quesabirrias and the menudo. Both were yummy. The quesabirrias tasted as if the tortillas were freshly homemade and the sauce was so delicious. The menudo was very tasty, we ordered a side of Rice to eat with the menudo too. The only comment would be that the portions could be a little bit bigger. In general excellent experience and we will definitely go back. Highly recommended.

This place has the perfect recipe for a Mexican restaurant. Family orientated, very authentic flare, decor is straight out of Mexico, plus the ambiance relaxed like gramas kitchen. We had the beef fajitas and beef burritos, spices were just right, rice and beans were delicious. Normally I do not finish my plate. Today I almost licked it. Lol. So cozy. Plus there is a Mexican grocery store in the back to purchase local mecican foods.
The little store doesnt have much variety, but it does have a restaurant.

Everything was good, they even had a little grocery store in the back which was nice :) nice local feel to it , food was a bit pricey ,which is my only complaint worth mentioning .
I ordered from skip the dishes. After the $5 delivery fee, 10% tip and tax it was $47.59 for ten tiny tacos. I split them with my girlfriend and we were still hungry afterward. For that price two people should be full! Definitely not worth the money. Even if I drove there and saved the delivery fee and tip it is still outrageously over priced for what it is

Great authentic Mexican food! Its what we would call comida casera! So its not necessarily what you will find on a restaurant, but its still pretty good!
