Great shawarma, lovely family that runs the place

Food was disappointing. I got the chicken shawarma and falafel wrap but it tasted real bad. I don t recommend getting these things.

I m writing this review before finishing my meal because it s so incredible. I was skeptical of the authenticity of the reviews when I saw the 4.9/5 rating but wow, this place deserves a 5/5. The chicken shawarma platter is a standard offering but the chicken is so flavourful and sliced perfectly, and the rice is delicious. The star of the meal is the falafel - I ordered a 1/2 dozen as a side and it was the freshest falafel I ve ever had. The sauce has a slight sweetness to it that I think is delicious despite not usually liking sweet sauces. I can t recommend this place enough - wish I could take it back to Toronto with me.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and definitely worth a visit. We found parking right away. We were greeted immediately with a warm smile. The ordering process was easy, and the food came out fast and was piping hot. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. Great food at very good value. Finally I found my delicious Shawarma & Falafel spot! If you walk outside by the restaurant you ll get the amazing Shawarma smell it s hard to resist Their Falafel is what blew my mind tho, my wife and I ended up ordering 24 Falafels, that s how delicious it is. The folks there make you feel at home. Super warm environment. A representation of the true Syrian culture I drove to Saskatoon for something else but stopping by this place was an energy booster! Will make sure to stop by every time I m in Saskatoon! Keep up the high quality guys you re amazing!

This is easily one of our favourite restaurants in town. We are regulars, and we always love the caring, efficient, and speedy service we receive, and the delicious food! Our favourite go-tos are the Mix Wraps (perfect for those who cant decide between the equally mouth-watering chicken shawarma or beef donair-- you get the best of both worlds!) and the falafels. The portions are large and very fairly priced. When we order take-out, our meals are always ready in less than 15 minutes. We also love how it is a family-owned and operated business. The amount of hard work and dedication the owners and their children (and their friends/employees) provide to ensure the high-quality food and service is admirable! We highly recommend this restaurant, even for those who are new to Syrian food (as we were, before we first visited Taste of Syria and got hooked!) Kid-friendliness: Im not sure if they have a baby high chair (I think I did see one there but we never used it) or change table, but the owners are always very friendly and happy to see our young kids when we come to dine in. Our kids (ages 1-5) love looking at the beautiful caged birds at the entrance, and are thrilled whenever the owners kindly offer them little complimentary sweets.

I am Syrian(my dad was born there) so I grew up eating arabic food. It was authentic and very good. I like spicy food so it d be nice if there was a spicy option for the chicken platter I got. Very good portion size and a decent price. I paid 20$ for the platter in the photo. Overall a good choice for a cheat meal because they have white meat. Good way to eat something tasty while also eating lean meat. I enjoyed it and will be adding it to my rotation.

Eating at Taste of Syria was so good I don t even know what to say! All 5 of us had the Chicken Shawarma it was amazing. So fresh and seasoned so well. The Baklava was the best I ve ever had. The neighbor kids stopped by for snacks so I offered them a piece and about 10 mins later they were back for more! I think this is now our official go to. Absolutely amazing.

Took my dad here for the first time for lunch, we sat inside & he absolutely loved it. We both ordered the Chicken Shawarma wrap, sooo good. Went in after they were closed and sadly didnt get food..after hanging out in the parking lot for a bit the gentleman closing up came up to use and just gave us a donair. What a gem of a human. I then realized I had forgotten my phone and I had no way to pay, the father told me to not worry and pay the next time I visit the restaurant. The staff was awesome and friendly, and the food was INSANELY good! The portions are generous, I got the mixed platter and will be eating it for the next day or two. Lots of great choices on the menu and none of them disappoint!

Visited Taste of Syria last weekend, and I was blown away by the experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed the moment we walked in. We ordered a variety of dishes, each one more delicious than the last. The falafel was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. The hummus was creamy and rich, the best Ive ever had. The main course, the shawarma, was a highlight with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh veggies. Ended the meal with a delightful baklava, sweet and crunchy. I would highly recommend Taste of Syria to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious meal. Cant wait to return!

Absolutely delicious food every time. Taste of Syria is a go to for us. The family who runs it is welcoming, the food is incredible and the portion sizes are large. We always make sure to order some of their homemade babaghanoush and hummus on top of the meals. The baklava is also highly recommended.

We bought Shawerma and Falafel plates (Arabic plate style) to invite a friend family. The restaurant s owner and her family were so welcoming and nice. They were even generous in serving, plates and offered free salad for us when they knew us visiting Saskatoon and stopping by at their restaurant. Thank you for delicious and clean food and generous hospitality.

Oh this place is too good. Massive shawarma wrap for an extra $2 was amazing. The portions are great for the price and the food is delicious this will be my go to for shawarma. Spent like $40 and will have 4 great meals out of it

Ordered 2 medium shawarma today, i was under the impression that Shawarma size was kinda what i use to eat back in Abu Dhabi, but when they arrived it was giant and unfortunately i ended up eating 1 only. 1 shawarma is too heavy, only cons is that they used a lot of mukhallal (pickles), other than that taste were good. I shawarma is almost 10 inch long, check the picture.

They somehow had google delete my original review because I called them out on hiring a staff member with warts all over his hands, who doesnt wear gloves and touches the food, cutlery, containers, etc, transfering the HPV virus to customers. Then they get multiple friends, including this staff member to write fake reviews to boost up the restaurant rating. Look at the suddenly influx of reviews. The food is really good and the service is good, but Im disappointed in their deceit and unwillingness to practice safe food handling.
