I travel to Saskatoon often. Mostly eating at restaurants downtown. Tonight was too cold so I ordered in from Saffron. This Persian restaurant is better than most I have tried and it was easily the best meal I have had in Saskatoon. I highly recommend. For reference I had the lamb stew with saffron rice and dolmades. So delicious.

Quality of food is really good, service was good lady there, Nazila she is really friendly and easy to talk.

Server was very rude , she brought the food very cold and she was shouting and pointing with her finger on us and our plates just because we commented the food was cold . She forgot to bring our starters and drinks . We had to remove them from the final bill as she forgot about these dishes Will never go back

Great food with live music

We ordered the stew dishes (chicken with barberry rice and lamb with saffron rice). Different from what we call stew, but really flavourful with good-sized portions. Really delicious!

Poor available selection of drinks, no dessert (pistachio cake) available, no background music (i think a live band was to start later?), placed smelled like sewage backup, we didnt order any food. Poor service.

I tried this place today and the food was AWESOME. Vazeeri kabab was my choice. Especially if you are Iranian, you need to visit this place. Their Maheeche was also GREAT. We had Doogh as well. Wonderful experience.

It was my very first introduction to Persian cuisine by my Iranian friend. And I absolutely fell in love with it! As well as with this restaurant itself and its atmosphere. Try it! You wont be disappointed! Dietary restrictions: Its easy to get Gluten Free meals there. Finally! I had no problems ordering at restaurant as a gluten free eater Parking: Depending on the time of the day you can get different options of parking.

Literally the only stopping me from giving this awesome place 5 stars is a lack of a cocktail/drink menu. Parking: Small lot beside the restaurant has maybe a dozen spots split between 3 or 4 businesses so may have to park on paid street parking.

We celebrated my daughters birthday here and had an amazing time. The food is halal and ambiance is great. Our order arrived quickly and was delicious. It had a good size platter to share. The saffron tea and pistachio cake was superb! They even played a birthday song which made my daughter s day :) We ordered lamb shank, beef kababs and chicken wings platters with rice.. everything was grilled to perfection. The atmosphere was amazing and overall we had a great experience. Definitely recommend it!

This restaurant came recommended from our time in Moosejaw. I m so glad we came, food authentic, chicken kabob was delicious with side of saffron rice and cucumber & yoghurt. My husband had the lamb stew with Persian side salad and rice. We spent some time chatting to the owner, she was really hospitable, stayed to chat with us for a while. Dietary restrictions: My husband is gluten intolerant meal was perfect!

I have not gotten my food yet, but they served water. And it is finally filtered water. For the first time in Canadian restaurant I can drink water.

Amazing Vaziri Kebab, along with an awesome pistachio cake. The food arrived very early and was nicely decorated. The server, Nazila, is very kind and catering, and went out of her way to tend to us. Delicious persian food, especially for kabab

Absolutely delicious food, exceptional service, nice atmosphere. Our server was so attentive and sweet. I ordered a vegetarian kebab dish with a side of herbed yogurt . When I wasnt able to eat a whole lot of my meal because there the quantity was so generous, they bagged it for me and threw in an order of their lamb stew...I couldnt believe they did that, it was so nice! This was not our first time eating at Saffron, but it was definitely time to brag it up! This restaurant has wonderful service. Our server, Nazila, was very friendly and personable. We were served Saffron tea, which is a signature at Saffron. So delicious. The dishes were well seasoned, hot, served quickly, and delicious! We ate Koobideh (ground beef) kebab, veggie kebab, shirazi salad, salmon kebab, Joojeh(chicken) kebab, maust khiar (cucumber yogurt dip), doogh(yogurt drink), and the wings kebab. Everything was delicious! And awesome. We re not from Saskatoon, but will DEFINITELY be back! Thank you Darion and Zoe for introducing us, and thank you, Nazila, for your amazing service!

Had a lamb dish with chickpeas, which was very good, but did not need potato chips on top of it. Also, too much rice to go with the dish, half of it would have been enough! Tea was a very nice touch, but coffee needs to have cream served with it, not edible oil substances which spoil my enjoyment of coffee. Please support Canadian dairy! Saffron cake was also very good and big enough for me to take half of it home. Service was very good and much appreciated.

Good food and good people. They will never ask you how well (roasted) you want your chicken barbeque or Kebab to be! I remember this place was a home for Yamaha Piano store and music training rooms for 40 years. The family sold the building, and its now home for three restaurants beside each other! Do you think the new owner upgraded the roof top unit to supply a good air conditioning to serve three big kitchens?? I doubt, and thats why after each visit you need to wash your clothing!

The ONLY reason the Atmosphere loses a star is because everything felt so real, so traditional, but the music was kinda generic background piano. Which I didnt mind, but it just felt off. But wow, the food was incredible, and the service outstanding.

If you are looking for an authentic dining experience this is the place to go! I cant rave enough about this place! Nestled in the vibrant Broadway centre this is a restaurant you dont want to miss. We were all greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The owners and staff are incredibly caring and the food is second to none. We went on a Saturday for a late dinner and got to be apart of the Iranian dancing which starts later in the evening. We had an absolute ball so much laughter and the people were so welcoming and including. This is a place you go to sit, visit and spend an evening so be prepared to wait for the food (trust me its well worth it, you will thank me later!) Thank you to all the staff and community for bringing this gem to Saskatoon! If you havent tried Persian food you will be hooked. All of our meals were fresh and presented beautifully. I cant wait to go back!!

Everything we ordered from Kababs to Stews to Yogurts were exceptional. Service was kind and thoughtful for people unfamiliar with Persian cuisine. Very thorough explanations and attentive service without being in your face too often. We dropped in with a table of 7 at 6:30pm on a Sunday and we were welcomed and invited to try everything. If you are curious to try, do it. You wont be disappointed!

When I tasted the food, I said this is even better than a lot of restaurants in Iran. I tried the chicken kebab and Kubide kebab, as well as their eggplant dish with Shirazi Salad. The most exceptional one was the tea, apparently it was a mixture of different kinds of fusions in the traditional Iranian cups, which makes it even better. It is a little bit pricey, but I guess they dont want to lose the quality over price.

Went today for dinner, Nazila made sure we had the best service. The food was delicious, and great serving. There was nice music and a soft peaceful atmosphere. Real Persian taste. Dietary restrictions: They accommodate if you have some dietary allergies.

We were party of four,celebrating a family event. What a delightful restaurant, that too only 2 months old. We ordered dolma,koobideh kebab and chelo mahicheh( lamb shank). The flavors were awesome and the portions hearty, served with copious saffron tea. Our server Nazila was friendly and helpful with suggestions. My lamb shank was the best I have had in a Persian restaurant in Canada. We shared desserts and mine was pistachio saffron cake. The Persian Chocolate cake was good too. Would we come again, definitely yes. Most of the patrons seemed to be Iranians familiar with Persian food, cant think of a stronger recommendation than that!

Excellent food. We initially though the mains were pricey but when we got our meals they were well presented, tasty and interesting. They were worth the price. Black Persian tea flavored with rose water and saffron was delightful. Pistachio cake is made in house. The was a nice since oo often you can tell that a restaurant has just thawed some overly sweet cake they have had shipped in to Saskatoon. The food is authentic which is a nice change from a lot of the boring restaurants in Saskatoon. We just moved here and are foodies. Other than Primal and this place weve not been excited by many restaurants in Saskatoon. We will go back here since they obviously care about food. The service was to notch. I rarely give 5 stars; only if the food is worthy of a conversation about it and if one thinks about it the next day. We will be back to explore more on the menu.

Me and my family heard a lot about this place and decided to try their koobideh. The waiter was so nice and polite. The food was not as expected although it was a bit over priced. The koobideh itself was small in comparison with other places. The taste of the koobideh and the rice was not the best either. The meal was not warm enough.

I live in Toronto and visited my brother in Saskatoon. To be completely honest, this place is definitely the best Persian restaurant I have ever been to in Canada. Interestingly, its quality and taste is as much as Persian foods in Iran. Besides, friendly staff, welcoming manager, and a lovely atmosphere made a memorable experience for me here. It s not possible to be in Saskatoon and not give a visit to this place.

An amazing experience top to bottom. Great service, we were given lots of reccomendations and even served special treats in addition to what we ordered. Our server went above and beyond, we felt well taken care of and special! The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing, with fun lighting and Persian music. (Great to share and try lots of things together). 100% will be back again, a must try for Saskatoon. Pictured is the Kashk bademjan (eggplant dip), which was rich and garlicky. We also had the Koobideh (beef) kabobs, Kartoffel (potato) salad, and Khoresh ghormeh (lamb stew) - every dish was absolutely incredible. Their saffron tea is wonderful as well. I had the kabab koobideh, dolmeh, bademjoon, and the rice and gheymeh. I really enjoyed it. The tea was also amazing. I would definitely come here again. The service was excellent. The server was knowledgeable about the food and was very accommodating. The restaurant also has good ambience. The bathrooms were also clean. The restaurant was fairly priced and the portion of the food was also fair.

Went today for lunch, wasn t busy at all and Nazila made sure we had the best service. The food was amazing, and big portions. There was nice music and a soft peaceful atmosphere. Love it here thank you so much!

The food was absolutely delicious! We had the Koobideh Kebab, Zeresh Polo Morgh and the Dolma, it was all delicious! The flavors were beautiful and the meat was so nicely cooked! The service was so friendly, we even got some lovely tea before the food! It was such a lovely experience! The atmosphere was so nice, when I walked in, the fragrant scents took me back to my travels in the Middle East. This is an absolutely wonderful restaurant, I highly recommend!

We totally enjoyed the food. The quality of the ingredients was completely satisfying and the taste was incredible. It has really polite and welcoming staff and also really helpful. We had the chance to see the owner, as well, we found him too friendly and professional who cares for the customers. They re gonna open their dance floor along with the karaoke events in the immediate future. We will be visiting this place a lot, for sure.

Update: I went there for the second time and added some photos - I went to Saffron Persian Kitchen and Bar for the second time and it was amazing! The Koobideh Kebab and Joojek Kebab were delicious and tasted like culinary masterpieces. The flavors were so satisfying. I wish I had taken pictures of my plate, but it just means I have to come back again! This restaurant deserves a five-star rating for its exceptional cuisine and dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Persian food!

I am so happy that there is now an Iranian restaurant in Saskatoon. My family and I went there for lunch today and we had the rice and kebab; we liked it. And for dessert we had sholeh zard that was so fresh and delicious. Thank you for good food and a lovely afternoon. Will definitely go back.

We dined there; the service was a bit slow, yet the decor was pleasing, reminiscent of a Chinese restaurant. The Koobideh kabab was enjoyable with a well-proportioned serving. However, the Joojeh required more seasoning, and while the Mahicheh was well-cooked, it had a slightly fatty odor. Overall, it was good and definitely worth a try. The Shallot yogurt and doogh were standout items, exceptionally fresh and expertly prepared. They offered us saffron tea and a plate of Tahdig for free which was so surprising, and we liked it. A minor suggestion would be to take orders separately at first and inquire whether customers prefer their receipts individually or together. I will absolutely go there again and will post the updated review later. Thanks to the management for bringing this Persian cuisine to this city.

We were group of 12! They had a VIP room and was perfect night! Food was perfect, service was perfect and everything was really great! Nazila was super friendly and she was very nice! We ordered Chicken Kabab and Ground Beef Kabab, all of them were delicious! I strongly recommend this place
