Just terrible service. We were "greeted" by a guy who I'm pretty sure was "on something." He showed us to a table at the back where we were completely ignored. I finally got up and flagged down a server. We were brought drinks and orded food. After another wait we we received the drinks. Food came, but it was tossed down on the table like it was an imposition. We finished and got up to leave when we got talking to the table of 3, behind us. Nobody had come to their table either. Basic rule of service; at least GREET THE CUSTOMER! Too bad, such a nice atmosphere! But the service was Not good.
On arrival, we were greeting by a lovely young lady who advised us that the debit/credit machine was down but gave us some options that would work for us. She seated us and advised our server would be with us shortly. My husband and I sat visiting, catching up on our day. About 8 minutes passed, and another server passed by and asked if we had been served yet, we advised no, and she said she would send our server over. We waited another 5 minutes, and no one came along. The restaurant was not busy to any degree. There were however 3 staff members hanging around at the bar, laughing and joking around. Who doesnt like to have a little fun at work, right! We got up to leave, and as we were leaving the server who said she was sending over seen us and began apologing. Its not your fault, you acknowledged us twice. We ended up going to Winston's just down the street. I highly recommend them. The service was excellent and the food was great. Our bill was around $90 with a nice sized tip for our friendly server.
As always me and my wife enjoyed Awesome fish & chips with amazing tartar sauce. Coleslaw was however below average and needs considerable improvement. Full marks to Servers who regularly checked upon us if we need anything. Good food and drinks at reasonable price.
We went last night a Thursday evening for a quick mini date night. We ordered two (different) burgers as we had a coupon. They came at different times, first one brought without the side gravy, as well as it had onions while requested without. Second one came out fine, but the side salad tasted off. No one came to check how the food was until we were finished, we were even expecting her to come back as we told her we were deciding on another drink. When we did order another we asked for less ice and it came with barely any and kind of ruined the ratio of flavors that way. Seemed almost passive aggressive. When the bill came it came out way more than I had expected but my partner paid the bill so fast I didn't see in time so I couldn't really say anything except just be disappointed and maybe try to use it again before it expires and see if there can be redemption.. total was over a hundred dollars after tip.
Hudson, Canada's Pub in Saskatoon is a lively and fun spot that I've visited twice. During my most recent visit, I tried the French fries, screwdriver cocktail, and three types of chicken wings—lemon pepper, honey garlic, and buffalo. The screwdriver was excellent, and the honey garlic wings were the highlight. The French fries were delicious as well. However, compared to the honey garlic, the lemon pepper and buffalo wings weren’t as impressive—still good, but not great. The atmosphere is vibrant, with great music and a lively vibe, making it an enjoyable place to hang out with friends. The staff are really nice, always smiling, and attentive, which adds to the positive experience. That said, I did feel a bit like an outsider while dining in, which is hard to explain. Even though the environment is welcoming, something just felt off for me. I might return for a takeaway order of the wings and fries, but I’m less likely to dine in again. Overall, Hudson’s is a great spot for drinks, good food, and friendly service, though it may not be a perfect fit for everyone.
Food and service was fantastic all weekend while we went to the annual “Rock The River”!!
Really nice, dog friendly patio. Even brought our puppy a dish of water! Great service, and fantastic food. The chicken bacon avocado sandwich was absolutely delicious and my husband loved the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Great beermosas and nice casual, friendly atmosphere. We will definitely return here often!
Just tried Hudson's for the first time. My husband got the Maple BBQ Burger & he said it was excellent. I got the chicken fingers & they weren't even edible. Burnt & so tough you couldn't even bite them & all you can taste is old oil. Obviously they pre-made them then throw them back into the fryer to heat for serving. Our server was good but what pissed me off was the manager who came over & said "I'm sorry they weren't to your liking" as if there was something wrong with me & not the food. Seriously look at them, you can even see the layer of yellow under the breading from the oil soaking in.

This place is what I call life center for the younger ages. Its a very lively place. Its ideal for any older gens who wanna experience the youthful lifestyle.
The food and service here is always so excellent, and I love the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Backroom is nice with darts
I was there for a Christmas party last weekend. The drinks were watered down, couldnt even taste the alcohol until we started to order it on the side, even the waitress commented the bar tender maybe forgot to put it in. The food was okay, the price was higher than stated in the menu, and too much for what you got. The waitresss had no clue on the shooters that were ordered, and customers had to explain them to them. For what was spent, I will never go back again. Sad experience.

I m celiac and I just had to leave a company event because they glutened me. Brought me a frozen gluten free bun to accommodate and then they gave me conflicting information of what was and wasn t gluten free, ended up really sick and had to miss the rest of the event because of their incompetence. Do not recommend them if you re celiac, even the things labeled GF on the menu aren t safe. Dietary restrictions: Definitely cannot accommodate celiacs, lots of conflicting info, staff don t know what is and isn t safe and the menu is misleading

I think Google should have a zero stars option. That s what Hudson s deserves. Not great customer service and food and drinks are ok at best.
For a downtown location that serves lunch, the experience was slow and the staff seemed confused on where to put patrons. Barely made it out in time to get back to work and left food on the table. If you are expected to pay $60 for a two person lunch and not get a chance to finish it all, I will mark this place as expensive.

Im sorry Hudson but I do not enjoy you. We went for food mid day, only to be surrounded by very loud, screaming girls. We could tell even the server was unimpressed. There was no attempt to move the disruptive ladies or speak to them about their noise level. They were pulling people off the street, hollering and incredibly intoxicated at 1pm. The restaurant could have sat the girls in a remote corner since the restaurant was next to empty. This isnt my first bad experience at Hudsons unfortunately. We chose to pass on food and leave after one drink. I understand it is not the restaurants fault directly however Hudsons does promote over drinking and I feel like that definitely has a pull on what crowd it draws in. Truthfully, this is on us for going there knowing that is not our jive. I know a lot of locals love hudsons, I just cant get behind it. Im sorry

Expensive drinks, good service.
We just enjoyed a lazy Saturday lunch at this establishment, and our server Hailey, was absolutely amazing. I m not typically one to leave reviews unless I m completely blown away. The we that came in for lunch was me, my son and his aunt. My son was born with a chromosomal condition causing significant cognitive impairment, and extreme difficulty with spoken language. Most servers fail to address him at all, asking me or another typically abled person at the table what does he want? Not Hailey! After I asked him what he wanted, he answered and I repeated it back to him so Hailey could understand his request, she looked my son in the eye and asked do you also want a water with that? He responded that he didn t. For most people that would be it. For us for my 28 year old adult son it is a rare experience indeed when he is treated by service staff with the same consideration and respect as a typically abled individual. In addition, service was fast and Hailey was quick to accommodate my requests to have a go box and pay before finishing so we could make an easy exit if necessary. Give this woman a raise.
Always have a fantastic time here with friends and business partners. Just be prepared for a long wait for the good.

Lunch on a Thursday. Menu had burger and fries $20.50 but happy hour the burger was $15 but waitress asked if I wanted fries so ordered fries. Total is $20. Saved 50 cents. Not much of a happy hour. Actually very shady!!! Management any thoughts?

Server was great and setting was really good. Food was disappointing. I had the clubhouse with fries. Sandwich was underwhelming with under seasoned chicken, reg bacon, doughy bun and lettuce and tomato. Fries were under seasoned. Honestly I can make much better and I expected something more tasty.
My friend and I came to this place to have a meal on this sunny afternoon, particularly their French fries and fish. Originally we did not have plans on coming to this pub we picked up an order and branched to eat because the food is tasty!!! Alas! we were asked for our IDs, I had mine but my friend who is a guy left his at home he even had a picture of it on his phone, and I was trying to let the manager know that this is our third time in their hub I have videos to prove that we were allowed in, and it s just a coincidence that he left his ID at home. Alas she said she won t use the video or need it as proof in a dismissive way, my friend claimed he is not under 20 she said that it does not matter they use ID and the person must be above 20 years, within 20-25years of age very ridiculous!!! Alas we were made to leave, I came back again to explain that I just really have cravings of their fish and chips, can I have a plate and he sits with me in the hub while eating, she still insisted that you will be needing an ID to have a seat in the hub, another very discriminating point!!! I had to leave because it was getting embarrassing!! If you don t want to attend to a particular set of people clearly state it on your website or outside so innocent people don t have to go through this kind of service!!
Was there for a staff event. The group ordered nachos and pretzel bites. Very tasty and the plate of nachos was huge! Since it was a Thursday, it was pretty quiet so you didnt have to raise your voice to be heard.

Great local place to grab lunch or a pint and appetizers to hang out with some friends and watch the game. If youre going for lunch during the week you might want to get there a bit early. Given the location downtown, it can get rather busy and parkingcan be an issue. Try fish and chips!

Went to eat, had a good dinner, go out to get a smoke later, dont let me get in because i dont have a physical id. Tourist dont go around with their passport in hand due to risk of getting it stolen. Ridiculous service from the staff even after i showed 5 different ids on my phone and even showed them a printed receipt of my order. Would not recommend.
The kitchen is so much cleaner than many Ive seen. The staff is also some of the nicest Ive come across.
Went for a business lunch while attending a conference. Lot of space for large lunch parties. The peach sour lager and ginger beef bowl was delicious!

We came through Saskatoon tonight on our drive back to Ottawa. My boyfriend and I stopped into Hudson s for a quick drink and Mckenna was AMAZING! She took some sweet photos of us and was so sweet as accommodating! Give this girl a raise!!!

Ive been there twice now while visiting Saskatoon, and the service, food, & drinks have been consistently good.
Server Kyra was an absolute delight! Sour peach lager was crushable, snacks were great, and the outdoor patio was lovely. Thanks for the fantastic experience Kyra!
I entered and was seated outside only to be left without service for 15 mins so I just left. lol the workers saw me several times walked by without asking if I m ready or ok
My boyfriend and I were very excited to go to Hudson s to celebrate his birthday, but we re truly astonished by the very poor service from our waitress. After being seated, our waitress abruptly approached us and rudely interrupted us asking if we wanted something to drink. When she returned, she asked do you want any food? In a very rude tone like we were a bother to her. Never once did she introduce herself or ask us about our day. We walked out shortly after and we will not be returning.
Stopped in to watch some playoff hockey and enjoy some wings and beverages. Sat us on the west side closer to deck entrance. Unfortunately she sat us where there was NO Waitress or service, no one came to check on us. Left after half 15 minutes as we were thirsty and getting hungry. Bar was only half full and seemed to have staff, just not any that wanted our business. Thanks for nothing Hudsons.
Went in on Saturday this weekend with some friends and had great time. The atmosphere was awesome as it was a very busy place! Our server Haley R. was absolutely fantastic and we will definitely be back!

I was on a long walk with my dog & thought to pop in & ask if I could sit outside on the patio with my pup & enjoy a beer to take a break. They said yes even though their patio wasn t open yet, cleaned a table & even offered to bring water & some cooked bacon as some treats for my dog, I didn t get any food, but it was a nice experience!

I had a terrible experience at Hudsons. My friends and I were kicked out for using what the staff claimed was the wrong washroom. This discriminatory action is not acceptable. Discrimination has no place in any establishment.

Hudsons is the best place in Saskatoon to hang out with friends and coworkers. They have an amazing atmosphere, their service is nice, the staff is friendly, the food is good, and overall, its in a good location downtown Saskatoon. A must-visit spot!
Best server ever! I wish I remembered her name (shoulder length blonde/brown hair and glasses) but she was sweet and helpful! Thai chicken soup was excellent and is always a great choice!

Hudson s is a large place with lots of seating. It also has good service and food. Some of my favourite foods I have had here are the fried pickles,Maple BBQ bacon cheddar burgers, beef dip and the wings. Hudsons also has happy hour and specials throughout the week. After a certain hour part of an area turns into a dance floor. It can get pretty loud at times when I have been here but can still talk and have a conversation. In the summer they have a good size outdoor patio.
Went there for a birthday and was off in a private room kind ve area. The bowling and darts were awesome

Food so good made me save money by making every other restaurant taste obsolete for me now I dont order anything on apps anymore. Take the new cheese steak and do yourself a favour. If youre lonely you can hop in tuesdays and have a nice time by joining the trivia.

What an horrible bar! The bouncers are un-human, they don t listen to anything and think they are the bosses of everything. The dancefloor is trash and I hardly recommend it. They say they have bowling and arcades but if you pay for it you cannot even play one game. Don t hesitate to write to me if you have any question. The bar « the congress » and « coach s corner » which are a 3 minutes walk from that bar are way way better! Also the prices of everything are way way to high! (9$ per shot ; isn t that way too expensive?)

I love it here. Kayla / kaylee (dont remember) was our first server! Her shift ended a bit into us being here, but she was fantastic! Speedy and kind! She helped me figure out what to get for food, and her recommendation was so great! Loved my meal!Our second server Ryan (i think!) was amazing too! Also speedy! Kept our cups full!
Food was we pre-ordered and it qas ready after we sat down. Had to ask for a few things that we had ordered, but minor then had to go get the bill ourselves, our server was running other tables and caught up with other people. ( but we had wait 20 mins after our meal before we went and got our bill) the lady who helped us, did comp part of our meal.
We used to love this place, it had great food and drinks. Unfortunately, I ordered food recently and it was completely flavourless and undercooked plus the surprisingly tiny portions for the price. Super disappointing

Went here for a snack basically and got wings they were sooo good. Staff was short but she was doing the best she could and was friendly. Sat outside got attacked by bees but was able to move inside with help so that was nice.
My husband and I met a big group of our friend here after a wedding ceremony, there was only a few tables seated when we arrived. The group we joined had already ordered drinks so we had waited for the waitress to make her rounds which she never did. Our friends had to wave her down to get her attention so we could place our drink order, we waited well over 10 mins and she came back to the table asking if anyone would like drinks.. we still have not received our first drink we ordered 15 mins ago at this point. We had to ask again for our drinks and said yeah the bar is making them right now in a really snooty attitude. After 15 minutes we finally recieved our first drinks. Nachos and wings were the only good thing about this experience. NEVER AGAIN!

Everything I needed it to be for a quick burger and beer. The menu was a bit uninspired but there were plenty of solid options. I feel like this place would really shine if you come with a big group of friends and youre looking for a place that covers all the bases. Excellent patio for people watching. Seen these nice gentlemen beside me get seated and server asked them for their drinks asap. Maybe my skin is too dark to get served here. Us SIIT students dont ever get good service, we are not welcome here.
Stopped here for a quick bite while passing through. Staff were professional and helpful despite the bar being quite busy. We sat at the bar and received excellent service from all the bartenders. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to watch sports or eat unlimited wings (one of their specials)
Went to Hudsons with three businesses associates tonight. Service was very slow. I ordered the beef taco salad. Upon arrival I had no beef and waited ten minutes for the server to return. She then brought me a bowl of cold beef to slop on my taco salad. I also asked for sour cream and my business associate ketchup. Our dranks ran empty several times and took ages for the ketchup and sour cream to arrive at our table. When we were finished eating took another half hour to get the bill. I then noticed I was charged two dollars for a large sour cream which it was not. Not only that but also charged a dollar for ketchup. I saw the manager charging our table for these condiments when the server did not respond to our request for them in a timely manner. I have never been charged for ketchup at any restaurant ever let alone sour cream for a twenty five dollar taco salad? Service was awful as was extra charges the manager slapped on the bill. Never once was were we asked how the meal was. Not impressed at all and most likely will never be back or entertain guests.

The games in the back are a nice touch, but pricey. The bathrooms are small and way at the front of the store. Not well kept, either. The food is slightly above average, but the service was excellent. Its not a bad spot for a hangout and a few beer.

Servers attitude was unacceptable.Firstly, She (Samantha) took the order and gave us one extra item that was not even ordered.However, she forcefully said that order had been placed for that item by us. We ignored that fault, and placed our order again. At that time, she was delaying so much which was very frustrating for us. Seeing her rude behaviour and unprofessional attitude, we paid and came out without even waiting for our order. Moreover, we were pretty shocked that a bad service can extend to that level.

I had a great time at Hudsons, from the security guard at the door beyond the crowd around the venue to the bartenders at the multiple bars, I had a great time. Everyone was friendly and serviceable. The drinks were on point and the time to serve the drinks was adequate. I will definitely recommend Hudsons to anyone. I am coming back for sure, hope to be treated with the same amazing service.
We were there to celebrate a family members Birthday Party. We were in the back room which was great, lots of seating and games to enjoy. Waitress was very attentive, friendly and efficient. The food we ordered wasnt very good, some dishes were very greasy and tasted like burnt oil. Birthday party was fun otherwise.
Parking: Its a downtown location, so finding on street parking during the day is difficult and you have to pay. Wheelchair accessibility: Not fully wheelchair accessible. There are a few steps leading to the main dining room and also outside to the patio.
Came here for wings night. We ordered hot wings, salt and pepper wings, bacon wings and also club house sandwiches. Staff was friendly. Everything was almost perfect except I had asked for a box like 4 times. Other than that. Everything was good
