1 word Lamb! That is the greatest from here. Out of all out of country style foods, this place is the greatest, parking is so easy to find a spot in the area. Never too busy and I got 10+ friends going there and not 1 has been disappointed....best part is that its fresh and full of flavors and very friendly service no matter which worker is serving you. Update: 14 years straight, still amazing, friendliest service, and food is still excellent. Ill always come to this business every time I want a Donaire.

went here once havent been back since tbh I was really disappointed with this place the guy working didnt seem to care and seemed like he was in a grumpy mood, not to mention they even had a lamb shawarma thing which i dont even know how thats possible. anyway I got the chicken one and I was very letdown it honestly felt like there was such lack of flavour along with it being absolutely tasteless and not even in just a mediocre way but in a very bad bad way! I remembering throwing mine out in such disgust! Dont waste your time here theirs plenty of other better places you can go check out!

been here many times before and had no issues with it but we went there yesterday and the guy preparing our food had a very bad attitude. gave us lamb instead of beef for the shawarma we wanted. as I finished half of my shawarma, I found hair in my food. not to mention that the lamb tasted old as if it was expired. it looked like the lamb has been sitting there for a while too. the veggies were soggy and old. i got a bad stomach after a couple hours. not worth it at all

The old guy that was working wasnt friendly, we ordered the mix platter but there was 2 tiny strip of chicken on my dish and lots of the other meat which sucks because the chicken is what tasted good.

This place was not clean at all. They microwave your rice in-front of you and in the year 2024 they don t accept credit card.

I came in and was welcomed with open arms, I recieved a free sample of the meats since I was new. I got a donair and saw them cut it straight from the meat. The vegetables are fresh and the meat is juicy. A wonderful experience, I would definitely recommend eating in. Parking: Ton of spots as well as a gas station

I have traveled North America and Ive NEVER experienced its equal. 5 stars is nowhere near enough, this restaurant deserves a 10 out of 10. The food is, phenomenal, superlative, an outright foodie reward. The owner is charismatic, pleasant, easy going and generous, the way a cook should be. You will most certainly see that this gentleman loves his work. Love is the perfect depiction of his menu.

I thought Id give this place another try after Ive gotten rude and disrespectful service a couple years back. My work is 2 blocks away and I do love donair. Well... nothing has changed. I thought maybe the last situation was cause the guy was just having a bad day or going thru something. He had this look like he didnt wanna be there. Dont ask questions cause you will get yelled at. I just wanted to leave as soon as I seen him put my food in the microwave but I didnt wanna be rude as hes already started preparing my food. During payment I couldnt hear what he said so I asked pardon? And in a very annoyed tone he raised his voice 20 dollars w tax! I then paid him. I was waiting for a thank you or anything but nothing. Please avoid this place at all costs. There are more small family businesses out there that will welcome you with a nice smile and will appreciate your business. These people dont care about you. Just want your money.

Without question the best Donair I ve had in Canada! Great portions of superbly seasoned lamb, with an outstanding garlic sauce that has to be tried. I have always defaulted to tzatziki sauce on Donair s, but I m a convert to his homemade garlic sauce now. The owner is more than happy to go over options and discuss his menu. You will not leave hungry or disappointed.

I drove 17 mins to this restaurant for shawarma. I ordered chicken shawarma large wrap, chicken in it was so dry and hard when i took the bite from wrap, hard and dried chicken gave me a small nice cut inside my inner mouth, chicken was chewy and not eatable. Customer service was also bad, no greet at all and the person working there has rude behaviour and gave me no any suggestions on food even i asked and he was looking at me in rude way or racist type(not sure) when i asked him about any good food suggestions and then he said look on the blackboard, his own written menu was on that blackboard i didn t understand at all. After payment didn t even said thank you or good day. I don t know where from those positive reviews are coming but i will not recommend this place. It was my first time trying shawarma wrap in Saskatoon but had very bad experience. I will never go to 786 shawarma place again.

Ive gone here a few times now and every time has been delicious, if not a little messy. If you have time to eat in youll be better off, or if you can eat it right away before the sauce works its way to the bottom. 3 sauce is the way to go

Borderline inedible donairs. The beef had a very strange texture, almost like it was fake or something. The pita bread was stale, he doesnt cook the meat on a grill after shaving it off the skewer like every other place does, the garlic sauce is VERY overpowering. Furthermore, the man was very short (almost felt like he was annoyed that I came in to order something), the place is very dirty (dust caked on everything in the kitchen), the veggies were soggy and inedible (I picked the tomatoes and green peppers out), and it was packaged horribly compared to all other restaurants that serve donairs that Ive been to. Hands down, the absolute worst flavoured donair Ive had in my life. Plus the experience of being in a restaurant when clearly the owner doesnt want your business has turned me off this place.

After reading some reviews I decided to try it out for myself. I would not recommend this place at all! The inside is very dirty and looking like it hasn t been cleaned in awhile or at all. The customer service was not good, the employee didn t want to be there. There were some more customers that came in as the employee was finishing my order and he just glared at the people who just came in. I got a beef donair, the donair was very greasy. The beef was cut into big strips and not pieces. The beef almost tasted frozen and had a mushy texture. I wouldn t even feed it to my dog.

I was surprised by how cheap everything was and left feeling satisfied. Very rude attitude towards the customer. We got our food with missing items, when we ask for it he was very rude. No value for the customers. Food is not free We pay for it. But he bahaves like he is giving it for free.

Have been a client for awhile but ordered today take out- chicken was cold and dried out (probably was stored open for a long time) and some parts were absolutely raw. It wasnt even warmed up My suggestion- if you order be there and watch whats going on, it tasted aweful

Very POOR Customer service. There was only an employee when we came in this restaurant. The employee was so rude to us and while preparing the Shawarma that we ordered. It didnt accept Credit Card. It only accept Debit...Then we went out and tasted the Shawarma. The food was cold so didnt make it good taste as if its served hot. So disappointing. Absolutely fantastic food and a really kind owner.

My husband and I went here last night and we were very disappointed with how we were treated. The guy there was very rude and cold to us. My husband tried to start a conversation with him to lighten the mood and he completely ignored my husband. The food was fine, but not good enough to warrant the bad attitude. There are other shawarma restaurants in Saskatoon where we are treated better. Here is a tip for business - It doesnt cost anything to be kind. You retain customers that way. But a bad attitude can cost you. We wont be returning.

Sub standard after being at Nebos ( which is phenomenally good ) owner tries to charge more than posted prices. Serves dry and old lamb - used to be under another name I m sure. Seems fishy- stay away and save yourself the trouble - go to Nebos

Stopped in for lunch today and ordered the chicken shawarma. I took the lady s recommendation of sauces to put on it (garlic, tzatziki, buffalo, and tahini) which was a delicious combination. It s a bit of a messy meal to eat but it was certainly flavourful and filling! Would eat here again. Note: they only accept cash and debit.

Very rude owner, I asked him to put little bit of extra cheese in my wrap. Instead of saying he will charge extra which I don t mind paying extra for the food of my choice but he said very RUDELY WRAP DOESN T COME WITH CHEESE and raised his voice saying he can t put more cheese and remove the cheese bowl from the counter and hide it under the counter. I was literally shocked to see his attitude and behaviour. There was another customer behind me in a line who saw owner s behaviour and left the place. There was another lady was working at this restaurant who told him why he is yelling at customers. After all that I never even want to eat. Never returning to this place again.

Went in yesterday for my first time, Was greated very nicely and I asked the man (owner) to make it just how he likes it and he made me a delicious pita wrap that was full of flavour , vegetables were bright and fresh very tasty! the 3 sauces he put on it were delightful and there was a tiny bit of spice on the backend which was really nice ! Most places i need to order 2 or more items off the menu to feel full and with just one wrap i was barely able to eat the entire thing ! HUGE PORTIONS Overall Great food , great fast service , super nice owner , nice selecition of food/drinks

The owner needs to slow down and breath. I arrived there and I was rushed to give my order. Every choices I made, he criticized it. He didnt approve the fact that I choose one sauce instead of all of them like he wanted. He told me I should have been ready in advance before coming in to order my 4 donairs. So to have a list of the toppings ready. I was like I didnt have one since I was in the area :( He pulled up his mask up to his nose a few times with his glove and continue with same glove. :( Im disappointed by the way I was treated not like a client but like a disturbance in the owner routine. I should have stick to the one on 22nd street, but since I was in Lawson Height I wanted to encourage them :(

As soon I walked in you can see the owner didnt even want to be there. Instantly asks me in a grumpy tone what I want. I asked for a large lamb and beef but ends up giving me large beef and medium beef. When asked what vegetables I want I told him everything but no olives or onions and he gets grumpy again and says what do you want. Should have tapped the $2.22 that he mistakingly punched in and left but told him the error and paid full price. Never going back again.

This food was so good! Before we ordered the owner allowed us to sample the meat with the sauce to determine what we would like. The sauces are so tasty and the value for this meal is incredible! The best food in all of Saskatoon. This is my favourite place to get food from! They havent raised their prices on anything since Ive known about the place, for many years now this has been my go to place for food. Everything is always very fresh and looks and tastes great. The owner is a nice guy who actually cares about his customers. He remembers me every time I go in and is always friendly and thankful for the business. If you havent been here before, definitely go check it out - you wont be disappointed!

Went to them at food truck wars. They told me it would be about 5-10 minute wait. After the 10 my wife and son went and got food at 2 different places and came back to find me still waiting. The went and sat in the grass to wait. After another 5 minutes I told them to start eating without me. 42 minute wait!!! And the food was average. I wish the tip option came at the end. I should have just walked to Prairie Donaire on 25th for a decent Shawarma and saved time and money.
