Loved the atmosphere at this restaurant!

Food was fantastic though I opt for vegan optiin but colleague who opt for meat dishes also liked it. Restaurant was fully occupied and people were standing in queue to get it. However due to this load service became an issue. Have to wait an hour to get our food. On nice quite day it would be must visit for foodies.

Beautiful spot in the city. They have created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere - extra appreciated as a solo diner. I had the quiche and it was very flavourful, and the crust was perfect. Thank you!

Loved this place the moment I walked in, and loved their creme Crème brûlée it was my first time trying it too and immediately loved it, so rich and creamy and dont get me started on the melted sugar, loved the part where you break it, and the fact they give 5 bucks back if you order take out to return the bowl , 10/10 experience would come again when I get the chance

We had a soup at Calories last week and we were surprised. The flavors and the quality of the food were outstanding.

The food is so fresh and well-prepared. We have never experienced anything except the best service with a smile. Staff will go over and above to ensure we have a great time. We travel from Regina to Saskatoon mostly so we can eat at Calories!

Great weekend brunch spot! Food was delicious, coffee was good, service was wonderful, and the atmosphere is charming! I love that they feature local artists on the walls - I ll definitely be back to try more!

Ordered the chickpeas and rapini bowl. It wasnt bad. It was my first time having harissa and I found it a little lacking in my expectations (I was expecting a more rich flavor similar to Indian curry), but maybe thats just how it is. I liked that the veggies were cooked just right (not too firm or soft). While I didnt get dessert, they all looked amazing.

I was desperate for a pot of tea as I was missing a good cuppa Aus style. They could not have been nicer. It was dinner service time but they made a table available and I was so grateful to have a pot of tea and a biscotti as good as a biscuit anytime

Me and my friends went to have dessert yesterday and it was our first time to this restaurant and we didn t like the server who was serving us as it was not welcoming at all and we didn t left any tips as it was just a piece of cake that we had. As we were leaving she said to her coworker of course they didn t tipped . Not a great experience for us.

Ordered Eggs Benedict with back bacon. The back bacon was thinly sliced and half fat? The waitress took our order and we didnt see her again until our table had been cleared and we were finishing our beverages. The hash browns were half fresh and half refreshed as the old ones were dark and the new ones were white with browned edges. All in all, a very disappointing breakfast experience given that our last experience was much better.

So loud! My iPhone kept alerting me to the noise level. Had to yell at my husband & vice versa during dinner & had difficulty communicating with wait staff. Ate & dashed. We get to Calories about once or twice a year as we live out of province. We have indulged ourselves here for years & enjoyed it immensely. We will not return. In case you are wondering the music was barely discernible above the noise.

There are better elevayed dining experiences on Broadway for a lower price point. Took my partner here to meed an old friend because it was the best place in town when we went to uni 10 years ago. I wanted to share that. The nostalgia was not satisfied. Thankfully we had another night in town and had a better meal down the street. They were out of the tasting menu by 7. Thats pretty early on a Thursday night to be out of the feature. Also, take it off the menus if its gone, its just a clipped I paper. The Bison Carpaccio was good but wasnt served with so much as a cracker. That was weird. The duck was amazing. It was always a staple here in the days of Olde. It just wasnt my first menu choice. They were out of the recommended wine pairing for the duck. My partners steak was weird. I was done rare as requested but it had no sear. My lemon curd cake was dried out. My partners cheesecake was great. I heard a manager apologize to somone and said they were training new staff. Thats a thing but front of house was not the issue. The shortages are a management problem. Get it together. Will only come back if I hear from locals that there have been improvements.

Serving best cheese cake in town.

Of our group of 4, three ordered the daily Quiche, while I had the daily pasta. They all reported the quiche was delicious, with quite a few different options for sides, including fresh fruit. My past dish included wild morels and cremini mushrooms with green peas and a very delicious cream sauce. We were all very pleased with our meals.

My boyfriend and I picked up cheesecake to go. So delicious! We tried the oreo and apple crumble. Highly recommend!!

Was recommended to us by a friend, and tbh we are from BC and eat out regularly and this might be too 3 worst culinary experiences I have had from the moment we sat down, Mel our server gave us water and we didn t see her again for about 15 minutes, actually had to go and ask for service , once we finally had our appys and drink order taken. They came out in a good amount of time. The beef carpaccio was terrible room temp and no flavour at all. The mussel special was ok sauce had good flavour but mussels had a quite intense fish flavour. We decided to stop our dining experience and made a reso down the street to finish our dinner. When we told our displeasure was found out we asked for a manager unfortunately the person giving us the lack lustre service was the manager . If you re wanting a quality experience I would say look somewhere else. We were excited about this place and was absolutely taken back from the poor service and below a chain restaurant food quality

The service was good the only issue was when asked about a cheese cake that had alcohol in it Her response was, You wont get drunk on one piece. not able to have any alcohol found it inappropriate. Food : 5/5

Burger was a bit on the smaller side but was tasty. Nice bun. Fries were good and came with both ketchup and mayo. Duck mushroom barley soup was good. Nice clean place.

Calories is just such a delight. Finding restaurants that not only cater to Celiacs, but go over and above with their Gluten-Free options is hard to find. Their staff is always pleasant, and not only super knowledgeable, but also helpful in their suggestions and food information. Plus, the food tastes great every time.

This was our third time here. The first time our dessert was stale and we sent it back. The second time our order was forgotten when we did eventually eat it was delicious But on today s third visit our meal was again forgotten and when we received our appetizer after 40 mins it was terrible. Service is poor. Food is sometimes great and sometimes not at all worth the trip. I want to like this restaurant but I ve given up trying.

Consistently great food and deserts.

Feature cut of Bison special: The bison was cooked perfectly medium rare and very tender and tasty. The jus with some of the sour cherry was a great combination that was only enhanced by the thyme butter. The parsnips were a delightful change from mashed potatoes and the shoestring potatoes gave the dish a refreshing crunch. I would not change a thing about the dish or the service. Magnificent. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing it felt fancy and the service was really good. Though the food could be better, First of all the fries were good, they were crispy and had an excellent amount of seasoning, but for the main dish in our case we got the steak and lyonnais burger while we were there. The steak was cold, and had barely any sauce, while the burger on the other hand was soggy and was unpleasant to eat and to look at. For the cakes it was what we had expected it was pretty good the orange chocolate one was good, the oreo cheesecake was good but the oreo on top was stale. For the price that we had paid i think it would have been better to go somewhere else to eat.

Best cheesecake in the city

It was our first time visiting! We enjoyed the food and the environment. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Her name is Danielle, she suggested some options for us for lunch and the dessert were amazing. We will definitely come back. Kid-friendliness: Danielle was very friendly to our child. She listened to his order and was attentive.

Had the steak frites. The steak and fries had awesome seasoning and the cook on the steak was perfect. The toffee cheesecake was great s always to finish it off!

Food was delicious, but the floor plan was very small and it got a bit loud. All and all a good experience.

Attended Calories for lunch today. I ordered the vegetarian sandwich with cream cheese and a salad. It wasnt terrible but it was very bland. The salad was shiny, as though there was maybe oil on it, but also no flavor. Just greens, no vegetables, nuts, cheese, fruit or anything you would typically put in a salad. We were crowded up to the front with a table behind us and a table beside. Beyond that there was no one. I found it very pricey for what we got. We didnt have one server, it seemed there was a variety of people. (3) Would not recommend. Would not return. Vegetarian options: Do not recommend. Tasteless and expensive.

We celebrated out 40th anniversary here in December. The chef provided an excellent brunch menu especially for our family group.The food was delicious as always and served very efficiently. Children were welcomed and accommodated. We can t say enough about the owners and their wonderful restaurant. Thank you so much. Absolutely an all time favourite place. My husband and I would come here in the 90s and it was just as great then. The cheesecake is amazing. The eggs benny is wonderful. Love the vibe here.

Overall a good joint. Food was good- nothing extraordinary for its price point. Staff experience was mixed as we had some odd moments with the host, but our server was phenomenal and very personable. I wish the menu had a way of listing what menu items are vegetarian/vegan as that would have made things much easier. A good little spot on broadway to check out.

Good quality, friendly and classy atmosphere

I went for a lovely lunch with my friend. We both had a wild rice bread sandwich, she had soup I had fries. Fantastic meal. So delicious. The only problem - we were too full for dessert! We noticed the staff were all amazing! Helpful, polite, friendly and well mannered. They did all they could to make our lunch special. What we particularly noticed was the attention the staff paid to the chef ! One asked her if she needed a break. Another asked her if she needed anything - it was just like a family meal interaction. It makes a big difference when the staff care about and look after each other. Really makes for a warm friendly , special place.

Once you taste the quality of their food, you wont mind the the price. Worth the extra dollar or two to have something made fresh and with pride, instead of schlepping something at us that came frozen on a truck. Always greeted with a smile, and a wonderful experience. Every plate was perfectly savoury. Especially, desserts were the best in the SK. Every staff was gentle, nice and friendly.

We usually visit Calories for dessert (which is always delicious), but today we came for brunch. I had the BEST eggs benedict. The hollandaise sauce was perfect. It was the best eggs benedict I ve had in Saskatoon and possibly the best in my entire life. My husband raves about the hash browns. The seasoning is fantastic. Also the drink menu is great, lots of options. My Saskatoon lemonade wasn t the greatest, but I ll let that slide because everything else I have had here is amazing.

It was very kind and the food was delicious. The portion seems small and the dessert cake was not as delicious as I thought. I guess I was looking forward to it too much.

It was a slower part of the day, which may have helped. My server was a wonderful gentleman who was excited to show me what he reccomended on the menu. He even brought over extra napkins and a sharper knife without my asking as he knew it would be messy. I felt checked in on the perfect amount. Just when I thought I may need something, someone was there to check on me. Everything was prepared well and tasted amazing. My singular complaint is that the macaron fillings were either too sweet or too overpowering for the amount of work that went into the flavouring of the shell. It was a wonderful experience and Id love to come visit again.

I ordered a burger. It was rare. I do not eat rare meat, especially ground meat. The fries were good. My friend has celiac disease. She cannot have gluten. Even a molecule can make her sick. They brought her salad with croutons on it, so she had to send it back. When we had dessert, she ordered the gluten-free Oreo cheesecake. The server brought it to the table, my friend asked her if it was the gluten-free one and she took it back. She returned it to the table and said it was the gluten-free one. My friend has been sick for the past 5 days. There was gluten in something she ate there. It is irresponsible on the part of the restaurant to advertise food as gluten-free if they can not guarantee it. Cross contamination is a huge issue. The service was poor. The server didnt know much about the menu, but maybe she was new?? Some random guy brought the food to the table. It seemed very disorganized and the evening turned out to be a fiasco. I will never eat there again.

Despite an unexciting brunch experience, we did enjoy the overall atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating, and the coffee (not a bottomless cup) was superb. We have had better food at this restaurant. Were assuming that the chef was having a bad day .

This place is amazing with probably the best cheese cake that I can ever remember. You will not be disappointed with the results of deserts if you decide to come here. Besides the cheese cake the iced lemon Saskatoon berry refresher was delicious.

Best eggs Benny anywhere!

So we went for an early dinner today at 5:30 pm with my child. I went over to a table near the window, please note there wasno reservation sign on the table. But here runs in a waiter to us with his eyebrows raised, what can I do for you ( not a nice/ friendly tone)? So I told him to provide me the menu, but in reply he said , you cant sit here this is reserved. There was no reserve sign and when we left the place at 6:35 pm, there was none in that table. It was an unexpected rude attitude fron the waiter. Never going there.

I ve had the Local Beef Burger twice now. It is Without a doubt the BEST Burger in the city and one of the Best Burgers I ve had in my life. Complimented beautifully with the house fries for an Amazing meal! Great Service, this is an awesome spot all around. I Definitely recommend it and Definitely recommend the Local Beef Burger.

Great food as always!!! I wish the service was better. Ive been here a few times and wouldnt complain about the service. Was greeted by an amazing hostess, and the server just brushed is off. We ordered 2 pieces of cake to celebrate a birthday. We waited 5-10 minutes for him to take our order. We ordered our 2 pieces of cake and never saw from him again. We had to go up to the front to pay. We saw him interacting with the other tables faster than us. Would go back again, and see if the service has improved.

The whole setup might seem fast and a little rushed being a busy place during certain hours to be very critical on them but the cheesecakes are wonderfully done becoming the heart of the establishment.

Artisan Coffee experience!

Saw the owner there behind the counter and watched him interact with his staff. I wouldnt want to work there given the demeanor he portrayed to his employees. Saskatoon berry pie was not edible. Other pies are great.

Great food for a reasonable price, especially considering the quality. Some of the best waitstaff I have ever encountered.

Friendly staff as always. Food was good but can be better. I ordered the beef hanger with smashed potatoes which couldve used more seasoning and much more baby bok choy. Crispy onions were a nice touch. Hubby had the risotto which was good but again needs a bit more seasoning or more of the ricotta cheese to take it to the next level. Strawberry rhubarb sangria was a nice, light and refreshing drink. Thanks to our server for that recommendation! Wide selection of desserts but was disappointed to see that my favorite schmoo cake was already sold out and it was only 7 pm when we got there! Well be back again but just for the usual dessert and latte... As long as they have the schmoo!

We were incredibly impressed with Calories catering and serving our wedding dinner! Taszia and Karan were excellent to deal with from tasting to wedding day. Our guests couldn t stop talking about how incredible the food was. The service staff went above and beyond what they were hired to do during our dinner hour, helping anywhere they could and accommodating last minute dietary requests. This meal was 100% memorable and we thank you for the wonderful service! In restaurant experience and take-out desserts are always excellent too!

Come for the desserts, leave shortly after though. Avoid the Chai, its just hot milk with cinnamon on top. :/ also if youre seated directly across from the bar and are shorter than the divider, you will be forgotten in a nook of silence and despair, except its not silent as you can hear and see everything happening in the restaurant around you, save for the server coming to talk to you. I will be back, Im sure. overall 6.5/10

Termedous cheesecake

I had a coffee & cake. The piece of carrot cake (not cheese cake) was delicious but stale (old), it was NOT large in terms of size but quite pricy for that slice. Service & ambiance were good but coffee wasnt. So, I definitely wont go back. But I hope they improve their quality and adjust the pricing.

Very cute restaurant. When we got there it wasn t overly busy. We were able to quickly order our drinks, but it took awhile to actually be able to order our food. The server did apologize for the delay. Oh my gosh. The food though. I wasn t sure I was a fan of hollandaise sauce, but apparently I love it! And their hot sauce was also very good

Amazing. The staff was friendly and when she asked if I wanted wanted to top up my tea, I clenched over my glass of water like smeagle and said No thanks my precious, I have water still. I finally understood later she meant for my tea. Im so stupid. But the food is good, go there.

Tried Calories for the first time and I must say it was an awesome experience. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The selection for desserts is outstanding! Staff were great during my visit and the food tasted delicious. Drinks were also good too. A must try if you re in the area!

We have frequented this restaurant for years for date nights, meals out with friends, weekend brunches, special desserts with our children, lunches at the office, and even staff Christmas parties! This cozy bakery/restaurant offers great selection, service, and ambience at a reasonable price. The menu options range from the simple to the spectacular, and regardless of what you order, you get a high quality meal. The tea selection deserves a special nod, including a great deal of flavour combinations across black, green, and herbal varieties. A quick note of caution: share your allergies with the server when you order your drinks, as most teas come with biscotti on the side. Looking forward to the next opportunity I have to come back and see whats on special.

We ordered charcuterie platters from Calories for a Mothers Day Brunch. I didnt even know they catered at first, but the plates were delivered on time, they were beautiful and delicious! Thanks again!

The cheesecake is unbelievable

Calories is my first recommendation whenever someone asks if I know a good place to eat. The food and desserts will draw a single tear to your eye. The service is always too knotch. Especially love Danielle and our last server whose name I didn t get, but she has blue hair and cool tattoos. Thank you so much for always killing it and making us feel bougie!

Terrible experience from beginning to end. Their QR menu is really hard to use, we had to open it many times. The waitress was EXTREMELY rude since we got there. I asked if a replacement was possible and got a pout and a rude response. She also pouted when it took us more than two minutes to decide what to drink. Guess Canadians are not that friendly anymore. They have this big red letters ad in the top of the Anytime menu advising that all dishes include a side dish. Too bad if you can t see the little asterisk in two of the five dishes they have, because it means that the side only applies on this dishes and each side costs $5 CAD (yes, 5 dollars for a small cup of soup that I wouldn t have ordered if the menu would have clearly stated sides were not included in every dish). If two out of three people make the same mistake it means that something is wrong with your menu and not with us as the waitress implied (yes, we are not from Saskatoon or Canada but we are not stupid). The 14 CAD aperol spritz didn t have soda. My friend ordered mussels and no one in the restaurant thought it was important to clean the table and take the sells away before desserts. No one offered dessert and we had to leave the table and order them in the counter (good cakes though). And when we had trouble with the machine and our cards (because of course they don t take american express and why to bother in letting you know so beforehand or somewhere in the menu) and took us some more time to pay the waitress was really annoyed. She couldn t even made an effort to not roll her eyes. The food was average and expensive. Over rated and over priced place with terrible and rude service. Here you can see the mess we had in our table. Of course we just tipped 10% because where I come from, tip comes along with a good service and attention. You need to earn it.

Walked by and saw that they were doing a steak and lobster feature for $45. Really great value for a Friday night dinner. Only one guy on table service (Parker), but he was a legend and made sure we were well taken care of. Just came back to Saskatoon from a set of fine dining experiences in Quebec and his service was at a higher standard.

Stopped in for a late afternoon drink and snack before I had to head to the airport. Overall, it was a super subpar experience because of the service being so so slow. We stood at the front for almost 5 full minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, although had multiple team members look right at us / walk right by. Ordered a side salad and my aunt had carpaccio. Neither intense food items but I took 30 mins to arrive at the table (and it wasnt busy inside). Wouldve given 2 stars if it wasnt for the Oreo cheesecake. That was delicious.

Got the new lamb baguette - very good. Fries nice and crispy. Really excellent coffee. Got the chocolate celebration cake to go - it was very good. Maybe a tiny bit dry, but it did sit cut in a box in the fridge for a number of hours, so that might not be on them. Very cozy place, and lovely staff. I ll be back regularly!

Best night ever! My friend and I stopped in spontaneously around 9 pm to get a take-out dessert and ended up staying for a meal, wine and a shared dessert, then had another shared dessert and yup, another glass of wine. The food was exquisite; huge kudos to the chef and all the staff, but it was our server Parker who really made our experience. They were short-staffed due to illness and yet Parker was attentive, generous with his smile, exceedingly knowledgeable about the menu and, despite a hectic evening for him and his colleagues, was fully present for us. He was professional, engaged, kind and very welcoming, no small feat in the midst of a hectic evening. We were the last to leave! Kudos as well to the lovely young gal who found a table for us and seated us. Cant wait to come back.

I returned to Calories after a previously disappointing brunch. Today the experience was much better and what I would expect from Calories. The service was excellent as was the meal, including dessert (toasted coconut cheesecake - highly recommend) which was delicious. I will not hesitate to return.

Great atmosphere with a modern design, and we enjoyed Calories coffee and cake. Lets get more calories in the Calories!

Great service, had a few dessert items that were awesome,always great

It was my first visit in saskatoon, I had a cake from this place, it seemed overpriced at first. But after eating, it was totally worth it. No matter what, quality is not compromised. I would totally recommend it.
