Hunger Cure Restro Bar in Saskatoon

I went twice recently. First time, I ordered rice bowl which good with great amounts of food. Second time, I had mushroom beef burger which was below average. However my friends ordered fish which was oily both times. The service was slow.

Went out for dinner with friends. Had not heard of this restaurant but it was close to TCUP. The server was terrific. Food and atmosphere were great. Will definitely come back again.

This place is great! I had the blackened chicken penne and a mango margarita. The chicken was tender with great spicing and the sauce was rich. I will definitely return to try more!

We celebrated my birthday in their beautiful private room, and it was an unforgettable evening. Our waiter was incredibly kind and sweet, making sure everything was perfect. The ambiance was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious - definitely a 10 out of 10! We have nothing but great things to say about this place. We went to celebrate our anniversary. We both ordered the sirloin steak which was perfectly done, plus the whole meal was delicious. The service was also great. It wasnt our first time there so we werent surprised. Also the sangria special awesome.

Hunger Cure Restro Bar contains a beautiful hidden gem within its space, having the old stone facade of Scotia Bank within it topped by a vaulted ceiling with glass skylights. Ive had the chance to dance the night away there and its a little bit magical. (Its a fantastic spot for wedding dinner rehearsals or paint nights, both of which Ive been to there!) The rest of the restaurant is a little dated, with heavy wooden tables and bar but the food is certainly tasty and diverse, and half price wine on Tuesdays is a treat! The staff are incredible, always attentive and friendly. They have made my visits to Hunger Cure a pleasure. Parking: Typical downtown parking, always busier in the evening.

Our waiter Lakhwinder was absolutely amazing. Very friendly, proactive to needs, but did not hover. The food was well prepared and delicious.

Went out with my grandmother and girlfriend for supper, i had the Parmesan chicken with garlic bread, gf had the same with garlic bread, grandmother had stuffed chicken breast. 4.5 out of 5 on the pasta, the Cajun chicken the dish comes with wasn t too strong, chicken was tender. Worker said the meat was from GFS and Sysco. Grandmother enjoyed the stuffed chicken. Cricket was playing on the TV which was an odd choice I thought but the bill was reasonable for what we got. 4/5 overall Wheelchair accessibility: Mostly no stairs other then back patio area

We came and had the pesto chicken quesadilla and the fish and chips which were both phenomenal. The fish and chips were tenderly beer, battered and deep fried to perfection. Exterior with a moist flaky interior. The chicken quesadilla had a nice tangy pesto sauce which perfectly complimented the grass they put on the side. The Cajun Frys slapped you in the face with the perfect amount of tangy and sweet heat. If I lived in Saskatchewan I would be sure to come again

The service is very SLOW ! The waitress was very rude i order butter chicken wings my wing came very dry and bland and looks like it wasn t even tossed in sauce. I politely asked her if I can get some more sauce and she told me I need to order another plate of wings in order to get more sauce.. ridiculous right ? Please save your money and eat elsewhere service is horrible staff is rude

I went to hunger cure for dinner tonight, service was wonderful, our server was really nice and polite. She took our very nicely and then served us with our drinks, she kept Checking on us that if we need anything else. Then she brought our food, it s was delicious too. I found this place bestest ever in saskatoon downtown. Highly recommend

We went to the Hunger Cure with a larger group for a 50th birthday. Our server was amazing. He was very attentive and personable. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Nothing is bland here...full of flavour. The birthday boy got to pick a dessert for free and they brought it out with a candle and sang happy birthday. It was a great evening and we cant wait to go back.

My family loves coming here. It is kid friendly and we always enjoy ourselves when we come. The food is always good but the chicken fingers are awesome! Have yet to find a place with better! The daily specials are always a hit and the service is quick and friendly. Would recommend. Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free which is a huge bonus for our household. The service also doesn t change if we have a child present or not. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and the front has a little ramp to get up.

They serve boxed mashed potatoes with a $26 chicken entrée.... unbelievable how cheap and how little this restaurant cares about quality. This is the last time I ever go here Edit: In response to the restaurants reply.... The cook admitted they were instant boxed potatoes. They then replaced them with Yam fries.... so yall liars, too ..

Very nice place, the courtyard area is beautiful. Had the shrimp tacos and cheesecake, both were delightful. I like that they have different kids menu choices for younger or picky kids - ham sandwich or buttered noodles. Kids chicken fingers was a generous portion. My partner and I went to this restaurant for a nice evening out and that s exactly what we experienced. The food was quite tasty (I had the stuffed chicken) and I our server was great. We ended off the evening with the sticky toffee pudding and it did not disappoint. Our bill was reasonable and it was a nice treat out. We will definitely be back.

The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. I got the burger, I love that the bun was toasted, and the veggies on it were fresh. It gave me small town cafe burger feels. The Caesar salad could be stepped up, they were generous with bacon on it but if I were them I would take inspiration from prairie sun brewery s Ceaser salad. A clean bathroom at the restaurant I m eating at is a big deal to me. I was uncomfortable with the cleanliness of their washroom and I hope this review changes that. Previous to this we did enjoy the atmosphere, and their skylight room is a beautiful space.

Food was exceptionally good with lots of flavor. We tried Tandoori Chicken Burger, Crunchy muchy Cauliflower some bowls and drinks . Really great environment and amazing customer service as well. I would recommend this place to everyone. Good places like these deserve a regular visit. Hats off to server Lucky. He was great in his hospitality.

5 of us went out for supper. Two of us required gluten free. We all enjoyed our meals very much. I also need to note the spicy margarita that was made. Jalapeño mango, and it was delicious! Food and service is absolutely amazing and price per dish was incredibly reasonable. The new years menu was a helluva good deal and great pricing for kids menu. Sports bar themed atmosphere doesn t quite match the quality of food and service. Cocktails were also an experience in it of itself. I dont normally do this but my husband and I had such a weird experience that we feel we should. My husband looked all day for a perfect place to book a reservation for a date for us. We agreed on hunger cure and he booked for a 6:00 reservation for new years Eve. We got there 10 min early and were sat in the middle of three other tables. All three tables were regularly helped by two servers and a bartender yet all three employees completely went out of their way to not even look at my husband and I. We waited for 25 minutes for someone to come by and even bring us water and no one did. Finally after the last time a waitress brought the neighbouring table a refill of their drinks and then turned around and cleaned an empty table behind them instead of asking us what we wanted we just got up and left without saying anything. They probably didnt even notice that we left. Super weird that they totally ignored us, we were one of only 4 tables so its not like they were busy. Being there before, the food was good so we were looking forward to it but now we wont be going back. We ended up being able to get into the scarlet restaurant in the Sheraton Hotel and had a 10/10 experience. Would recommend going there instead.

Came in tonight to have dinner before a show. No staff in sight to seat or greet us. It sounded like someone was tending to a baby in the back??? Waited 10 minutes and still nobody around and so we left for somewhere else.

Very disappointing. The Philly cheese steak was a pre made hamburger patty cut up under red bell peppers. The service I will say however is excellent!

Our $60 meal was very overpriced. The portions were very small and the quality was disappointing. $25 at the Sobey s deli would get you very similar food and larger servings.

I don t know what they do to the chicken, but it was like eating a cloud. The butter chicken and sticky toffee pudding drew a single tear to my eye. It was absolutely delicious!! Our server, Pam was very charming, very friendly and very welcoming. She treated us like we were old friends. Do yourself a favour and try this place out! Will be back.

Went to the Hunger Cure Restro Bar on 2nd Ave in Saskatoon last night. What a great experience. We had the 8oz steak special hopped with carmelized onions and mushrooms (salty deliciousness), garlic mashed potatoes and seasoned buttery vegetables. Was cooked perfectly! Also started with appetizer of bruschetta with cheese, bacon, chives, almonds drizzled with a nice aoli type sauce - inhaled instantly! Try it! Shrimp tacos were ordered by my wife. Typically not something she would order, but they were fantastic. Very fresh, savoury and you could taste each ingredient separately Youngest daughter ordered butter chicken a far stretch from her usual chicken fingers. It can with a side bowl of basmati rice, naan bread and another crispy rolled crepe kinda thing. She didn t speak through the whole meal as the wonderful taste overwhelmed her! Lol Finally, our oldest daughter ordered the loaded burger with poutine. She said it was the best poutine she d ever had - the burger was great too. Get a side of the chipotle mayo dip . You ll thank me! Cheesecake with a strawberry topping and chocolate drizzle for dessert! Awesome We will be back!

Food was neither tasty nor plentiful. The bruschetta was baguette with bacon and cheese gratinated with mayonnaise. The fish was a single lump of dough and the steak was small and rather well-done instead of medium-rare. We were seated in the darkest corner, despite the fact that it was completely empty Therefore, you can only see the food with your cell phone flashlight. Only the service was quick and friendly.

A bit of a mixed experience. The food overall was good and the butter chicken was excellent. They have a small kids menu and a gluten free menu as well. It works well for our dietary restrictions. Our server was friendly but Im wondering if they were new? They had trouble keeping up while we were ordering and wasnt sure what drink options were available. To their credit our food came out correctly. The construction out front means you have to go through the mall to get in. The mall had all the lights off which made for a bit of a creepy feel. I doubt thats the restaurants fault but they should talk to the mall about it. Dietary restrictions: Has a separate gluten free menu Kid-friendliness: Has a small kids menu

Our group (~50 people) booked the covered patio for our after party, and we could not have been happier. Nice venue, great food, flexible, patient, and easy to work with. Have been here before for dinner with friends and family, and would come again for small dinner or group event.

Update: went for food again. The stuffed chicken and crunchy munchy cauliflower were fantastic. Weve never had a bad meal here. Great flavors and fresh. My wife and I had the Sweet Chili Chicken to start which had a nice flavor and was spicy. I had the butter chicken. It was great and tasty. The Naan was perfect. My wife had the Mango Tuna bowl. It had a nice, light flavor. Very refreshing. The staff were super friendly. The restaurant was clean all around. Well be going back.

We booked the atrium for a team event. It was delightful! The atrium is spacious but private and a beautiful bright space. The service was fantastic! The butter chicken is amazing! The pesto quesadilla also had a glowing review from our group. I highly recommend this space for a group of around 20. And it s free to book!

First time we ordered the food was fabulous. Crunchy cauliflower was to die for! We ordered again this week and was severely disappointed. Cauliflower was soggy with a cheap Franks hot sauce on it and bruschetta was old and Im not talking just cold... Like it was left out overnight cold and dry. Extremely disappointed. Hit and miss with one.. Dont know if we will ever take a chance again. May be we will have to go in to get the good food.

Usually I have a wonderful experience here but my last visit with my family was very disappointing! To the point we didnt even get served. We stood in the entrance with 2 Skip the Dishes drivers for about 10 minutes and did not even get acknowledged so we were forced to leave to another establishment to eat. Im not sure if there was a miscommunication or the staffing was too short (although there only seemed to be 3 tables) . I know Ill be thinking twice about next time I decide to go.

There are so many places to eat in Saskatoon, you are truly spoiled for choice. In my opinion Hunger Cure knocks them all out of the park! My favourite burgers by far, I would highly recommend this restaurant to eat at. Paras, our waiter was super helpful with recommendations if you don t know what to get. Thank you Paras.

Stopped by to help out with a drain, noticed the tantalizing aroma coming from the kitchen, we had to stop in for a quick lunch. We were very happy we did, the food was delicious and prepared just right. I have to thank Rukija our server, for inviting us for the steak night on Saturday. I feel we wont be disappointed. Spectacular first experience with Uber Eats order from Hunger Cure Restro Bar. The beer battered fish: Still warm and CRISPY upon receiving. Portion was much bigger than I had even expected. Wish a second or third jar of tartar sauce was included. Didnt know or Id have ordered additional tartar sauce on the side. I absolutely loved the chunks of pickles in the tartar sauce, perfectly flavoured all jam packed in that little container Ceasar salad: Fresh romaine was used. None of that pink/browning garbage. You can also tell fresh bacon was used for the bacon bits as theyre the fried strips that are cut into small strips instead of the over fried crumbly bacon bits you get at some places. Imagine, fresh chewy bacon bites in every mouth full. Flakes of parmesan. and the dressing was not overly salty. fresh ground pepper. Magnificant! Soup of the day - Broccoli Cheddar: OMGish...its my childs favorite food made into a soup. Need I say more?! One of the best Bar food Ive had in my entire life. Will be a return customer, guaranteed. Please dont ever change the amazingness. Give the kitchen staff a raise!

Ordered pick-up at 10:45 pm from a place called Crunchy Basket on Skip. Order was confirmed recieved, updated but not ever confirmed ready. The address given was inside Scotia Center. No way to find this place as this mall is closed long ago. Tried contacting Skip customer support but that took forever. Walked around for 20 minutes looking for said Crunchy Basket. No luck and a bit confused at this point (very hungry too!). The mystery is solved soon though. 55 (!) minutes later I get a call from Hunger Cure Resto Bar telling me my order was ready an hour ago. Then she tells me that I have to be there in 5 minutes because we close in eight minutes . The Hunger Cure website shows they close at 9 pm so now Im really confused. The caller refused to take any responsibility and repeatedly stated This is all Skips fault. Boo!

We recently booked the private room for my parents anniversary celebration, and I am extremely pleased with our experience! They were very responsive to communication, were able to accommodate all our requests, and we had an amazing evening with delicious food and fantastic service!! Would definitely recommend for a private function.

We have ordered at least weekly since discovering Hunger Cure. Its absolutely delicious! We have had half the menu. Its affordable and so yummy! I have to say the side veggies taste like a jar of pepper and could be extremely tonned down. Otherwise, order on my friends! Order on!

Got a Fish and Chips for lunch today. The portions were generous for the price and the Fish was cooked very nicely. the Fries were cooked perfectly and it was packaged well for a takeout. Very satisfied.

Dined here tonight with my girlfriend, our server & bartender was funny, respectful and very attentive. We took our time and settled on the bacon bruschetta. Flavour explosion! Both had an 8oz steak, cooked exactly as we asked and was delish, seasonal veg were perfect, and mashed were some of the best ived had. Pretty darned decent. Wife had the Mango tuna bowl, I had the steak and shrimp special. Im told the tuna bowl was tasty, but slightly spicey for her taste. The steak and shrimp was great, only exception was my medium rare steak was definitely medium well, regardless, it was still tender and juicy. Service was prompt friendly!

My partner and I always ordered this food for delivery, The food is always good and never disappoints. One day we noticed that the restaurant is only a three minute walk from our house. So We decided to walk there and when we got there we were completely blown away. This restaurant is so elegant with seating for different moods (inside/outside Patio) The staff members are so polite and so hospitable. A gem of a find in the heart of Saskatoon. - Then there s the food. The food is unbelievably good. Your mouth is filled with wonderful flavours and everything cooked to perfection, I had a pizza there once and my gosh it was delicious (yeah they have that too), Exquisite main dishes and good drink selections, The atmosphere is so peaceful that when you go to Hunger Cure, you re pretty much on cloud nine. I absolutely love it and I highly recommend that anyone try it out!

Really lovely place, went in there for lunch everyone was nice and super friendly, the restaurant was clean.so overall not a bad experience. They only get 3 stars because my main dish wasnt really good (very dry, not much flavour), I wasnt too hungry otherwise it wouldve been very disappointing.

Our staff at work order here every single week! Delicious food, especially the pesto chicken quesadilla, butter chicken, Buffalo chicken poutine, and hunger bowl. The have a great sticky toffee pudding as well! They are always quick and the meals always hot and tasty. The staff are very gracious and kind.

They were able to accommodate my reservation for 10+ people at lunch last week. Awesome food and most important to me: perfect service. I will be going again for sure. They were able to do everything I asked for and I was in constant communication with their staffers covering our table. Bravo! Well done.

Half price appetizers were delicious, we had sweet chili chicken, lettuce wraps, bruschetta, and buffalo chicken poutine. All so tasty. Our server was l friendly and outgoing and made wonderful recommendations. Thank you, will recommend this place. Perfect birthday dinner!

Really nice food and ambience. The food tastes great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The veggie option was also super tasty as well and the cocktail selection is fantastic.

I ordered take out from here, food was great, I got the salmon, mixed veggies and potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly, the aioli it comes with is very good, I should have ordered extra though, because the potatoes are a little dry without it. The mixed veggies are actually just asparagus, I guess they could have advertised that because I thought maybe there d be carrots or sprouts with it too, however they were seasoned perfectly and were cooked nice and soft. I ll order again for sure.

Came for a birthday lunch and had the best experience!! The food was amazing, the store is so clean and beautiful and the service is perfect. We had the stuffed chicken, quesadilla, and prawn pasta and some drinks. All so good! Highly recommend (:

Had their pizza from their location Just Pizza on Uber Eats. They are generous with their sauce and cheese which is great! But their sauce has an odd/sweet taste to it. I know there is sugar in all pizza sauce but this just isn t balanced right. Their crust isn t fluffy on the inside. It s kind of like thin layers of dense bread. As if the dough hasn t risen well. And the cheese tastes like low quality brick cheese that you buy from a grocery store. For an example of good but cheap pizza, try 241 pizza next time you re in Regina. It s a franchise and I don t understand why we don t have one in Saskatoon!! Notable mentions in Saskatoon for pizza delivery are: Pancho s pizza, Family pizza, In and Out pizza, Wow Pizza, and Red Swan. To the owners: Dough, I ve heard is tough to perfect so you may need to get outside help. Sauce, you just need a good recipe. And for the cheese, get better ingredients even if you have to charge more.

Very good server! Perfect steak and shrimp! And the so-satisfrying-burger was perfect combination with every ingredient.

The service and taste were amazing. They have a very interesting and delicious take on Indian fusion. Try the stuffed chicken ,Tuna salad or Butter chicken. The atrium garden is exotic and quiet. The service is stellar. My new favorite place to celebrate in Saskatoon.

Right from the get go, the service was great. Quick, attentive and knowledgeable. We had the ABC Bruschetta for an appetizer and it was excellent. For a main I had the Stuffed Chicken and I was very impressed. The mushroom sauce was perfect for the meal. We had the Cheesecake for dessert and it was nice as well. All in all, very impressed and would happily come back.

Had a very nice anniversary supper here. The service was great. Rachel took very good care of us. Drinks never went dry. Food was delicious and very filling.

Be careful. They will tell you wine is 50% off then when the bill arrives will tell you that only the select cheaper wines are 50% off, but the premium wines are only 25% off. I cant help feeling scammed when we specifically confirmed with the server when placing the order that the wine we ordered was 50% off. Even the sign outside the front door indicates ALL WINE 50% OFF. Anyhow....best to go somewhere else.

Just ordered a $14 lunch special from here on skip the dishes. Food was hot, very good, and the portion was humongous! Definitely lives up to the name uf hunger cure. 100% recommended and I will be ordering from here again. Great job folks!

Had a wonderful date night here, our steaks were perfectly cooked and the prices are super reasonable. We will definitely be coming back! The atmosphere is wonderful with the dim lighting and comforting music levels! Also the wait staff were super friendly and attentive. We had a very good experience here

Went for dinner as was close to hotel. Had the Greek wings and Hunger Bowl, both were very good! Waitress was very good as well. I couldn t figure out what I wanted to eat and she was patient and came back very few minutes till I could decide (was doing a lot of driving that day). Anyhow the service was excellent, food was very good as well. Door Dash or Skip were coming like crazy to so locals must like it which is a solid sign!

Great server and awesome fries, with decent appetizers (we had the Chilli chicken bites and the shrimp tempura) but lack luster, plain Jane food that you could get from any small town eatery. Frozen burger patty, undercooked pasta and overcooked shrimp.

We had a recent large group event hosted at Hunger Cure and had nothing but a great experience! The food was wonderful, the service staff was on top of everything and Kunal and team were very accommodating from beginning to end!

Went with family and EVERYONE enjoyed their meals. Generous and flavourful portions. Our server, Paras, was attentive and personable. Some of the party didnt get vax-checked but good service nonetheless. Would happily return.
