Excellent breakfast as usual.

One of the best steak sandwiches Ive ever had. In fact I had it all 3 nights i was at the hotel.. amazing location on the river walk area.

Brie apple burger was okay but wouldn t order again, fish tacos had almost no flavour (and are way smaller than others have listed in reviews), and the Cesar salad dressing is not good at all. Yam fries were salty but otherwise good. Overall, very disappointed with the food.

My hubby and I were here after the pride parade. Our waitress remembered us from last year, which was nice. We didnt know we are that memorable. I had the fish and chips and my hubby had fish tacos. We had ceasars for drinks and our meals tasted delicious. Well definitely come back.

My partner and I had the Pasta a la Norma and the Ribs. The pasta was cooked fine but uninspiring. It was mostly just noodles and tomato sauce with little in the way of eggplant cheese etc. The garlic bread wasnt particularly good. The Ribs, however, were much nicer. They were tender and had a nice sauce. After spending roughly 30$ per person we both went home and immediately ate another meal. Overall, we found the food generally well cooked, the ambience is nice and the service was excellent. With a better portions and a bit more exciting execution for some of the simpler dishes (the a la Norma for example) I think this could be a winner. Dietary restrictions: GF options available for a host of main dishes

Staff is plenty friendly, food has good flavours just poor execution, sounds like kids are working in the back you can hear them chatting about their lives from the other side of the restaurant. Had the pizza + salad lunch, first pizza I had to send back cause you couldnt even pick up a slice without everything falling off. I like thin crust pizza but this is like paper thin in the middle, so just poor execution honestly. They said they will be starting to make their own dough in house so Id probably try it again, but like I said good flavours but poor preparation.

Just had the worst meal experience of my life. Baby back ribs were cold -fat -coated bones. Worst I could imagine. Tasted like they were previously frozen and defrosted. Wife had Asian noodle bowl. Chunks of fatty meat covering a bowl of cold , worm-textured noodles. My ceaser was watered down clammato with a straw. Woman I the table next to us was going in about labour and delivery details that nearly made me vomit. 100 dollars later..... We went to carvers and tried to salvage a long-awaited night away from the kids. Dont make the same wrong turn we did. It reminded me of a really bad Dennys.

The service was very slow. The food was good but had to ask for refills. Sat and waited for bills for over half an hour. Not impressed. Will go elsewhere next time. And 18% gratuity is not impressive!!

I love this place! It s a special treat at this time of year to walk along the river in the winter wonderland in the dark times, and come up to the restaurant past the lights around the skating rink. The Scarlet Craft Kitchen is not only visually vivid, warm, bright, and welcoming, but the staff are too. Many delicious nutritious beautiful menu items. I especially enjoy the salads and porridge!

Went there for NYE dinner. Service was very poor. Asked for a non- alcoholic beverage and told anything on the menu can be made non-alcoholic ordered a peach Bellini which I m pretty sure was just slush orange juice. Food was meh. Will not go back.

Had a very unfortunate experience at Scarlet on New Years Eve. Immediately the waitress was complaining about her previous table that had a lot of people. We asked about non-alcoholic drinks and her recommendations and she said: any alcoholic drink can be made into some non-alcoholic. Try the Peach Bellini. So we ordered that. She told us managers were making that didn t know what they were doing. It came looking horrible, was legitimately frozen orange juice with huge chunks of ice in it. My avocado taco came and soup. Taco was 10/10 the soup was cold. She never came back and asked how things were, my friend never even got a glass of water. Extremely disappointed for that kind of price.

I love this place always good but this time service is slow even it s not busy setting are very bad near glass and cold lol but food is good service good all time but sometime it s happen recommend

We went to Scarlet last night for my birthday dinner. We had the house salad, the roasted beet salad and the Caesar salad. Most everything else on the menu had items my companions didnt care for in them so we thought we would go for the salad options. The Caesar salad my daughter ordered was a little pile of lettuce and kale with a few croutons and parmesan flakes with pretty much no dressing. I really wish we would of taken pictures but sadly we didnt. I can say next time we would take photos but there wont be a next time. $75 for 3 salads and all we drank was water. We planned to order drinks later with the meal but when we saw the meals we decided not to. The server was nice though. Thats the positive part of our experience.

Checked into the Sheraton Hotel. Proceeded to take my family for dinner (5:30 on a Sunday), there were two tables with patrons - the server tells me there is a problem. Puzzled, I asked why. She said there was only one server (she was leaning on the bar talking to the bartender, clearly not busy). The hostess states 30 min wait . Again I look into the empty restaurant, and ask why?! The ratio of guests to the server is too high. What?!? What does that even mean? I will never visit this restaurant again. Absolutely horrible hospitality.

We went there last week for breakfast, and we were disappointed about the food. If you are looking for an overcooked and dry egg Benedict, its the place. Our plate were mostly fried hash brown and my omelette tasted blend and got just a few pieces of the topping a requested.

Great Patio Experience

We decided to go back to Scarlet yesterday morning for breakfast as we went there a few months ago and it was awesome. Great food and great service. Yesterday, not so much. Food orders came out wrong twice. Had to ask for our toast ..eggs were ice cold. They charged us for food we didn t get. And, he brought us our bill while we were eating, which I thought was a bit weird . Maybe I was just too annoyed at the time. And to top it off, we addressed our poor experience to the waiter and supervisor and you could obviously tell they didn t care. So, we won t be going back.

Scarlet is located in the Sheraton Cavalier on Spadina crescent across from Kiwanis Park in downtown Saskatoon. I came here for lunch and it wasn t very busy at the time. We easily got a table on the patio. I had the the lunch special. The lunch special is choose what burger you want from the menu, pick a side and a drink for $17 For me it was the Bourbon street burger and fries. It was a very good burger and I would definitely have it again. The person I Was with had the Santa Fe salad and liked it as well. They said that the greens were very fresh like they could have picked it out of a garden. Scarlet is a grate place for lunch and breakfast but recommend if you want a table on the patio don t go at prime times cause there is not a lot of tables or get there early.

Awesome omlets.

The food was okay, not bad not great. The service was not good, we ate and no one came back to fill our coffee or clear our plates. We walked to the front to play our bill and left the dirty plates on our table. The atmosphere was pretty as they have large booths facing the big windows with a nice view.

Best food Ive eaten in Saskatoon.

I wandered over for some breakfast before my big drive home. The construction blocked the view which was a teeny bit disappointing. Hallelujah; I have finally found good fish and chips in downtown Saskatoon. I was thrilled that they chose pike as their local fish. Pike is always the tastiest Saskatchewan fish.

Had an out of town guest and wanted to show him Saskatoon. Decided on Scarlet as its a nice spot along Spadina and we sat on the patio. Service was great, and the food was excellent. I had the salmon and it was perfectly cooked.

Great service, nice little place with a good layout. Food was good but nothing exceptional. Reasonably priced for the area. Definitely would go again.

Portions compared to prices are less. May be big hotel syndrome. Had no meat salad and french fries. Taste wise superb. Burgers comes with fries so better option or go for Pizza. Not much options for vegetarian people. Little costly but tastes good.

Took the kids it was a good experience. Sizeable portions the steak sandwich is good wish the bread had more of a garlic flavor.

Not ery friendly staff, she didnt know the nightly special and got frustrated when we asked..

We had an AMAZING experience at Scarlet last night. Our server was Connie and she handled everything brilliantly. She was extremely sweet, accommodating and great at her job. It was a very busy Valentines Day weekend dinner rush (which is understandable as the place has 10/10 Valentines Day vibes) The food and drinks were excellent and the entire atmosphere was wonderful. We will for sure be back!

Service was terrific and the prices reasonable for lunches but really lacking beef dishes. Only one steak on the lunch menu and its a puny 6oz. Lacking in beer selection as well in terms of draught. I thought being next to carvers and 612 both would be in abundance. Had a burger and it was quite good but burgers are sold everywhere with this quality. Would eat there just for the view.

Went here on my birthday. The experience was great, we had pizza. The staff was very polite and sweet. They even got me a birthday cheesecake with a sparkler. They made me a non alcoholic special drink which was delicious. Wanna go here again :)

Coffee is very strong. Ham & cheese omelet eggs way over cooked ,very very little cheese. My greens were over dressed had half a cherry tomato and 4 small pieces of cucumber. It took for ever to get our food. And the restaurant was not that busy.

If I could give a negative review I would. The hostess was rude. Put a family with a baby by the window and not even ask if we would like the blinds down. Didnt even tell us who our server was. Then with 6 empty tables available she was telling families with kids that there is a wait list and no room. Very rudely. The server we had was barely around. Over all the food was ok. Lost my appetite after I heard what the hostess was doing. Empty tables and people waiting. Horrible. The staff need to be trained properly. So instead of eating in the restaurant families are forced to eat in their room for extra cost. Trying to squeeze more money out of customers.

Stayed at the Sheraton for about a month after my home burnt down and ate a lot of scarlet food! It was super yummy i just wish there would have been a bigger room service menu. :)

The Fish N Crisp Sandwich was amazing. I think it has crunchy fried potato strips( reminds me of vermicelli) as a garnish to the perfectly cooked, lightly-battered and fried white fish on incredibly soft bread.

Had a delicious roast beef sandwich on the last visit. Really nice atmosphere and a view of the river trail area. Second visit: had the Canadian Thin Crust Pizza. Very good! The crust was nice and crispy, good flavors. And we were on the patio, probably a 4.5 out of 5

Sheraton is now Marriot. Food chicken salad sandwich so tough I had to bite down hard 3times to cut through. Slow Svc. Thimble for ketchup. Brownie far too much chocolate. Could have taken a spoonful of Cocoa. Too little ice cream to cut the excessive chocolate.

A year ago I would have given rave reviews, but things are seriously hit and miss at Scarlet now. On this visit the drinks didnt come until after our food, our server arrived to drop off our food after wed been sitting sipping water for ages and they awkwardly hand-waved that our drinks would be a bit, but it seemed like really they just forgot we had ordered drinks and forgot we were there. Everything seems overcooked - the spinach dip is cooked until its dry and burnt at the edges. And the beignets (which are why we talk ourselves into going) are kind of awful now. Tiny, empty inside, overcooked to a crisp, super dry. Like miniature overcooked pita pockets. They used to come piping hot and were pillowy soft doughnuts. And we used to ration the salted caramel dip to have enough for all six of them. But our last three visits the beignets were cold and at the end the dips were basically still full because the beignets were just six glorified chips. The server did no checking in, just made hollow comments on what wed eaten as they whisked away a plate. I guess really this should be lower than 3 stars. I suppose Im skewing higher based on hope it will go back to what it was.

Great snacks and cocktails...

I was in there Nov 30, 2022. The food was excellent, the service we received from Sarah was the best we ve had in ages. However, the supervisor was yelling at the employees which kinda ruins supper for me. I thought it was very unprofessional. Someone like that should not be in a supervisory position. They seemed like they were on a power trip.

Microscopic portions and steak that is so tough it could be used in bullet proof vests. The portions are so tiny you leave absolutely starving. Plus the restaurant takes the liberty to add an automatic 20% gratuity onto your bill for you no matter how bad the food is. The serving staff were ok just overwhelmed so getting refills was a problem. Prices were super expensive for what you get. I think the food at McDonalds is better and cheaper than this restaurant. Plus McDonalds doesnt hold you hostage demanding a gratuity. My suggestion avoid this place.

This has become our go to restaurant while spending time in the city. Even when it s busy, it is quiet and easy to hold conversations while enjoying meals and looking out over the river park. The food and drink is consistently excellent and the service is exemplary. Yesterday s lunch was especially enjoyable as Shaelyn took care of us very well. We recommend the restaurant.

The only reason this restaurant deserves one star is because our server was trying as best she could. The food was terrible! Our boys had the pizza which came out soaking wet as though it was under cooked from frozen. My wifes teryaki bowl was given to another table so her food did not come at the same time, when it finally showed up, it was soaked with teryaki sauce and more resembled pet food than a restaurant quality rice bowl. This is our second time here and the first was just as bad, but hoped it was a one off. Please do not waste your time or your money!!! Definitely not impressed.

Get the peanut butter wings. It doesnt sound like it works, but trust me. It does! Everything else was very good as well. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. Felt very private in the booths. We both had the blackberry old fashion and that was delicious. My husband had the fish and chips. He felt like the batter was too thick. He does not recommend getting it again. I had the Christmas supper. The scarlet salad was good. And I got the prime rib, which was PERFECTLY medium rare. However, the Yorkshire pudding was cold and tough. The Christmas supper came with a sticky toffee pudding. It was not good. It was supposed to come with gelato, which was not served with the pudding, I had to ask for it. And when it came out, it was clearly ice cream. I understand that supplies run out. But I would rather be told and given the option rather than providing something sub-par. In the end, I would come back to try the brunch. And the cocktails were awesome. But I would not come here for supper.

Very good place with a fantastic location. Server was attentive and polite. Food service was slower than what I demand, hence the 3 stars only. Drank 8 scotch and waters and had the nachos and garlic fries. Very tasty. Also, when someone walks to the front counter they should be greeted within 5 seconds. We showed up and nobody was present and waiting to serve. Fix a few things and you will be a great place. Thank you, see you on Monday for a second (and possibly last) chance.

I love going to Scarlett for brunch! Their eggs benedict is some of the best in town and their brunch specials are incredible.

Come here often the food is delicious. The service can improve its a bit slow. Ive been waiting for a hot sauce for 5 minutes now. Do not go here if you are hungry!

We had our daughter and son-in-law s wedding dinner at Scarlet last weekend. What a truly wonderful and unforgettable experience! Thanks to the very skilled and efficient kitchen staff, the food, which was excellent, and of generous portions, came out to our guests all at the same time, hot, and beautifully prepared. The servers were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. They were friendly, good-natured, patient, and so accommodating. I cannot say enough about the service! Because the restaurant wisely required a seating plan (COVID precautions), the servers made a special effort to call guests by name. Thank you so much to Leah, the General Manager, for her complete care and attention, and for all of her special touches. The tables we requested for the guest book, the cake, and the favours were all exquisitely decorated. Thank you to the Sheraton Hotel, and the entire staff at Scarlet for creating a truly memorable experience for our special celebration!

Our server was amazing, so kind and personable and helpful with selecting options and suggesting summery drinks! We ended up having an emergency and had to leave early but we were really appreciate of the kindness of the server and her patience with us. Such exciting and interesting food options too, but the chicken was so nice and delicious to eat.

It s pretty good here. Service was terribly slow and it wasn t even busy. Food was great though, the area is pretty nice and we prefer to sit inside as there are usually wasps outside on the deck all summer.

Ive only ever ate here for breakfast or lunchbut they have a great menu with some unique dishes. The patio is right on Spadina and has a wonderful summer vibe.

Excellent night on the patio during the Jazz festival making for an exquisite evening. The food and service were fantastic as we were quickly seated on a busy night and accommodated with our infant. Food and drink were fantastic as well. Highly recommended.

Food was really good, the service however was not, our server really did not seem interested in helping us and she was very rude. I have been here before and the service was always good. This wasnt a busy time that we went there either, so Im not sure what her problem was.

Scarlet is the place for a decadent breakfast. The ambiance is wonderful with a view of the South Saskatchewan River. The service is friendly and efficient. The food was original and absolutely delicious. Scarlet is worth the visit.

Have been for lunch many times and always excellent food. Tonight we went for Christmas eve dinner and both the food and the service were amazing!

We were excited to visit as we stayed in the hotel and had no ambitions to venture out on a cold December night. Lots on the menus, but beware of what we are out of - chicken strips , shrimp etc.! It was a surprise as the place looks busy enough and you would think they should be ready for the New Years / New Years Eve rush!

Took the kids for supper. We had great service, food came fast. The kids loved their burgers (which were huge for a kids burger) and my steak sandwich was great. For sure will come again

Excellent balance of quality, price and quantity. Excellent variety for everyone in our family. Kids portions are very generous! Food was very good and perhaps one of the more underrated establishments in Saskatoon! Much better than a restaurant of convenience, very worth going to.

This place is great! The beef dip... amazing! The bread was fresh, the meat was tender, and it all just tasted incredible. The beignets... OMG you have to try them! Drool worthy for sure. All in all a great place to eat and just have a drink if that s what you want. Highly recommend

Food was good. Kitchen was slow? Service excellent.

We had lousy service, our waiter wasnt very attentive, our appetizers came with the meal, and boy oh boy, do NOT attempt to split the cost of someones meal. It took about 20 minutes to get the bill figured out, as I guess math on a computer is difficult. Food was decent, but my friends who had recommended Scarlet were not impressed with the portion sizes that had changed and that the Truffle burger was removed from the menu. Also, it was +27 and our server put the fire on. He did turn it off after we asked, when he came back 10 minutes or so later. I wouldnt go again when there are so many other great restaurants with better service in the city.

Lovely patio, great for drinks. Unfortunately the food is average at best. Burger was a bit of a mess with all the toppings, and still managed to taste bland. No seasoning in the beef. Would recommend for drinks and food is passable in a pinch.

My partner and I decided to check out the scarlet this summer, we were quickly greeted and seated on the patio. The sever was kind and in the beginning of our experience we were quite pleased; however, once she brought our first round of drinks she seemed to forget about us. The food was not enjoyable; both my partner and myself were not satisfied with the quality of the food - the spinach dip was not satisfactory (it tasted similar to Philadelphia cream cheese) nor was the vegetarian burger. We hope that this review with encourage the kitchen staff to reassess their products or reduce the prices as they are not comparative to the quality of food served.

We went there for a nice Fall brunch. All was well until the music started blaring in our ears. We sat outside and they hostess was happy to turn the heaters down slightly. However they apparently control the music off site. The food was alright. Not extraordinary. Overall a decent experience, except for the loud music.

Had a romantic dinner with my husband and it was a cozy place in winter. Atlantic salmon, for me, was so good. Had breakfast here as well coz. Its conveniently in the same building as the hotel we were checked in. A must try pancakes.

The Scarlet restaurant at the Sheraton is amazing. The food is great and the staff is wonderful. I coordinated with Coco, the supervisor, to have a surprise for my grandma at the restaurant and she was so helpful and nice! Definitely made my grandmas birthday the best ever. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and Coco should get a medal and a raise for sure!

Service was incredibly slow. Waited an hour for our food. Once we finally got to eat, it was pretty bland. Looks nice inside, but sadly that seemed to be its best quality.

Stopped by for lunch and highly recommend the crispy avocado taco - yummy. Also had the watermelon and feta salad which was tasty too.

The patio is lovely and its a pretty nice restaurant. The food is good, but nothing special in my opinion. The service has been so bad when I went - maybe I was there on off nights. I find everything overpriced for what you get. I might go back to have a drink on the patio, but honestly you have a better option right next door...

Best burger I ve had in a while!

Service was friendly but insanely slow. Not even an empty dining room could speed up our food. And once it arrived it was lackluster, oddly flavored and clearly either from the freezer (kids pizza), or out of a squeeze package (guacamole and sour cream). With all of the great options for restaurants in Saskatoon I would steer clear of this place.

Went there for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. It was a little cool on the patio and our server had no problem accommodating us and moving us closer to the heater and turning it up for us. Have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere and the cool drinks. Our go to place to bring family out for dinner when they visit from out of province. Servers are extremely nice. Keep up the good work! One of few classy places to eat at in Saskatoon.

Breakfast wasn t good. At all. Not sure if the dinner menu is better, seems like it is from the other reviews but, I gave 2 stars just to be nice. Coffee was alright... but the breakfast y all really need to season your food.

We decided to have our staff Christmas party here and it was a definite . We had a party of 18 and the food was served hot, quickly and fresh. Of course nothing is perfect with a med size group and a few mistakes were made. As soon as an error is brought up it was resolved right away. The kind service was really good and the staff was really accommodating. Glad we came here and Ill be bringing the family here in the future.

Nice interior, well decorated. Breakfast items (waffles/french toast) are verrrry sweet - its too much. Good coffee. Good service.

Morgan was amazing waiter. Food was delicious. Restaurant was beautiful. Scarlet is my favorite color.

Has potential but lacking in menu and service.

The food was quite good. Slower service but we werent in a rush so it wasnt a big deal. Will eat there again
