Was there with a friend for football game. Friendly staff food was good. We were there on a Thursday and they had live music part way through the evening was ok but bit loud for the space. Was kinda hard at times to hear my friend talk well the live music was going. Other than that always good time here.

Been here on several occasions and its a nice place with good ambience. I was back here for a karaoke night with my friends and the DJ was fantastic. Cocktails and food are alright. The staff are very friendly and helpful with positive vibes. We definitely had a great night out and are looking forward to more karaoke events here.

Food here is great every single time. Service is a bit slow sometimes but overall still good. Drink selection is awesome. We return here often.

Overall very disappointing. Our food was mediocre at best. The lemon pepper wings had WAY too much lemon on them, and the cucumber shrimp things tasted like nothing. Our fries were way over seasoned and the service was terrible. The waiter took 15 minutes to get us water and take our order and did not check up on us AT ALL. Many waiters assume that I m a teenage because I look young, so they treat me with terrible service. I know it was just for me, because this same waiter was checking up on the table behind us frequently. Very disappointing and staff should be trained to treat customers the same, regardless of age.

Sat on the patio for dinner the other night. Good food and service as per usual. They had a magician which paid us a visit at the end of our meal and he was fantastic. Always enjoy my time here.

Kinda just meh... Not bad at all... Its just not great. The server was clearly in a section alone and the other (staff?) Managers ? Seemed not want to try and help at all. The food was ok.. under seasoned. The pace was ok... she ran all her own food. The atmosphere wad ok.. maybe a good dust and wipe of the table caddies. Im not sure I would make the trip out for it but if a friend wanted to meet for drinks I wouldnt say no.

Had a leisurely lunch catching up with friends. We didnt feel rushed and had a great server who took excellent care of us.

The wait time on Mothers Day was unbelievably long. We were almost leaving after sitting for over 1 hour without our food. Thanks to the in-house magician who came over to do his thing. The meals eventually came, and I think it was just okay. Perhaps the pressure on the kitchen staff didnt make them put their best plates forward.

Great food, great service. Altogether, a very nice experience. Will definitely be making The Flats a regular spot Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly section away from the bar. Havent been in there yet but I will when we go back with the kids.

Got the breakfast quesadilla and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, the service was prompt and cordial. Would 100% recommend.

We came as a party of 10 for a convocation lunch. The server was polite and didnt linger unnecessarily. The food took an appropriate time for there being 10 of us and other ppl in the restaurant. The food was excellent, there is really something for everyone there. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and upgraded to greek fries, I highly recommend! My husband had the monster burger and it was huge and so flavorful. We will definitely be back.

Good taco salad for $20 +taxes +tip. Would have liked some kind of dressing... but didnt ask for it...so my bad. Good service. Attentive. Got our food quickly enough and we were a group of 15. It would have been great to have a water jug on the tables. The server couldnt keep up with our water needs. Hmm...maybe I was drinking more water than usual because of the saltiness of the hamburger meat.. Would have liked more keto options, but thats just me. Parking: There werent many spots available, but we were there for supper on a Thursday.

Went for lunch with a few friends. Food was good. Service was quick and accommodating. We probably stayed longer than we should have without ordering more drinks but they just kept checking in on us and let us visit. Was excellent

What an awesome experience! Today my mother Inlaw, my self and my husbands Grandma when to the Flats in Saskatoon and had lunch I can pleasantly say it was one of the best meals and service I have had there and my husband and I usually go for breakfast or lunch there. Jasper our server was absolutely amazing as my mother Inlaw has a sever peanut allergy and I m lactose intolerant. Jasper was very attentive and made sure we were both safe in what we ate! Also huge compliments to the chef as my mother Inlaw and I had fish & chips I will say I m not a big fish fan but will definitely say it was one best fish & chips I have had!

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst places in Saskatoon to try and eat. The service was awful. The worst part of it is that it was not even busy. My partners review of this place is that you wouldnt even be able to pay him to eat here. Do better.

I come in often and the staff always takes great care of me. Shelly, Mark, Raychel, and Kiarra always take the time to make me feel at home.

Unfortunately, the chicken sandwich that was ordered was the smallest piece of chicken I have ever seen on the biggest bun everything else was good The waiter didn t bother to come back to refill the water. The Caesar salad had the bottom end of the lettuce, which is not cool. You know that great big hard piece. Lol that you re supposed to throw out and not throw in the salad. Lol

Edit: The management at The Flats were extremely kind and handled this situation quite well by giving me a gift card to come try the food again. This time we got the pulled pork grilled cheese, the jalepeno cheddar burger, a creamsicle paralyzer, and a bubblegum paralyzer. The burger was okay (the bun was close to being burnt) but the pulled pork grilled cheese was quite good. The paralyzers were delicious! Service was also good. I updated from 1 stars to 4 mostly for the way that the management handled the situation. Thank you for your kindness! Probably would not go again. Ordered the sirloin surf and turf and it was disgusting. I asked for mine medium and it was cooked completely through. Dry and chewy. Mashed potatoes were cold. Shrimp and scallops were overcooked and rubbery. The person I was with ordered the same meal and their steak (ordered medium rare) was just slightly pink. Their seafood was overcooked and rubbery as well. The Caesar salad and dill pickle soup were decent but the rest yuck! Was excited to try but very disappointed in the food. Not worth the $80 bill at all.

Music in the lounge at night was more appropriate for a night club than a restaurant lounge ( volume, selection). Unfortunately not very conducive to allowing conversation. Otherwise good.

Pretty disappointed with the food portion. I ordered 2 Greek rib meals with soup. Cost $42.00. I received 2 tiny soup and less than 15 dry ribs. This would maybe be fine as an appetizer but very disappointing for an entire. I have been here before and was satisfied. Not this time. May have to rethink my next spend.

We went to The Flats last night for supper and the food was great! Inconsistency with the taste of the cocktails but they were pretty good as well. Our server misinterpreted two of our orders, one we corrected when ordering but the other arrived as the wrong dish. They did offer to make a new one but it was about 15 minutes after we received our food so it wasn t practical. The amount of food and quality was amazing. They had a magician doing close up magic at the tables which was a fun experience! Will definitely purely go back.

Our good friend recommended this place as we were looking to try steak other than Chopped and The Keg. My friend told us to try The Flats as they have great steak. Me and my hubby went last night and we liked the ambiance. We both ordered steak as we were told it was great. I had the Turf & Surf which has side garlic seafoods (shrimp and scallops) on top of the 12oz steak while my hubby had the Caramelized Steak with caramelized onions and mushrooms on top of the 12oz. First thing I have to mention is.. the Steak we got is very thin, dry and I believe it isnt 12oz. I cook and portion protein meat for my husbands meal every day and I know what a 12oz steak just by looking at it. Secondly, seafoods are tasteless. It tastes like those frozen seafood bags you buy from Walmart and just thawed them. We both got garlic mashed potatoes and taste nothing but bland. Can barely taste garlic so ended up not eating it. Our server was Starr she was accommodating but what we didnt like was when we paid for the food.. my hubby skipped the tip option as he is not a tipper if all you did was do your regular customer service job, Starr asked my husband when she saw there was no tip. Have I done something wrong here tonight? My husband answered nothing.. Starr then went back to the kitchen and not even saying Have a great rest of your day or anything.. I was at the washroom at that time but when I was done, I just saw my husband waiting for me by the door. And told me what happened while I was gone. I dont really leave negative feedback but this is just ridiculous. We wouldve try it here one more time maybe change try different menu but from the servers attitude, maybe not coming back here again..

Chef has to figure quite a bit out. French toast not on a thicker bread, but on white bread with no cinnamon icing. How can cinnamon powder be missing from a French toast! Steak cheese melt was on not on a bun and beef was not moist, but microwaved to an extend which made it dry. Root word was melt, but it was dry. Recipe management would be their biggest challenge

Visited with family a few weeks ago, we were sat in a back corner of the restaurant where nobody else was sitting which felt odd, but the service was quick and polite. Food came out very fast. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was great for what it was. Steak was cooked properly, the garlic toast it came with was soft, warm, and buttery. I also liked that you got two sides. Made for an awesome and filling meal.

Thought wed try out the new restaurant in area for happy hour. We were told domestic beer pints were on for $6. Ordered those and later some appies. Service was pretty slow, but friendly. The food was good. Got the bill and we were charged $9 for the beers. I explained my understanding to no avail. Not very happy. I doubt well be back.

A nice quiet place, the service was great and food came out fast and delicious. There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try so I will definitely have to return!

Was pretty disappointed with the meal. Steak was tough and chewy, not seasonned properly. The 4 shrimp I had were the only good thing on the plate. Scallops werent even cooked well, also extremely bland. Cole slaw was also seasonned poorly. The other dish my wife had was JD chicken breast, at least that was okay. Broccoli was very undercooked. Mashed potatoes tasted funny. Im afraid that I will not be coming here again. Paying this much for food on Valentines day was tough to swallow.

Enjoyed a fantastic steak dip sandwich (I asked for no red onions, but also asked if they could add mushrooms) and they did! The artichoke and spinach broth was also very delicious. Melanie, our server was extremely nice and knowledgeable about their menu. Would definitely dine here again and recommend to everyone. We went there tonight for the first time. Very excellent! Had the best experience! We had the brisket burger with fries and the penne pasta ...very good! Our server mark was very good...he was personable had very good suggestions for cocktails and he seemed to be there just when we needed him! Will definately be back!

This place was okay. I thought it was decent but my partner wasnt satisfied. We both got drinks and his beer was flat. The server didnt even come around again before bringing us food and by that time he didnt want it. They took it off of the bill and also gave him 15% off his burger but he still wasnt super happy with it. The burger meat itself was small and didnt cover the entire surface of the bun. I got a steak sandwich and it was good. The prices are very good though, the main courses all come with 2 full size sides for the same price of other places.

Well that s a swing and a miss. Went Friday evening, sat on the patio. And sat. And sat. No service. Not super busy but still we waited. Had spinach dip and a beer. Pretty gross. More waiting with empty drinks. Passed on the mains and went elsewhere. Fail. Food

The food was delicious but the service was lacking. My waitress did not take my order for 20 minutes. Thats a little too long to be waiting just to order your food. Hopefully, they work out all the kinks in that department then this would be a stellar place to eat!

I will never recommend this place to anyone that has a family. We asked for a table for 5 (one child and four adults). We were told they WOULD NOT accommodate us. I guess the flats only welcomes the young, non family, alcohol drinking guests.

My chicken bacon melt was toasted and not grilled ! The chicken had some spices on it that was not disclosed on your menu, the bacon was deep fried it took over an hour to get our food so I think the Bacon should have been grilled not deep fried ! We were only offered drinks once .. I had to ask for water in the end .

Asked to substitute mixed greens (have dietary intolerance to romaine) in the caesar salad and was brought with all romaine. Server took back and was still mostly romaine. There are other salads with green leaf and artesian lettuce on the menu so not sure what the problem was. Won t return if they can t accommodate a small substitution such as that. **Update I emailed the restaurant as per their request, received another sorry with no compensation or incentive to return.

This place has so much positive energy from their staff! My server was Shelly. She was enjoying her job. Engaging in friendly banter with customers. All positive. I sat in the lounge area. The music wasn t loud & overwhelming. The joking atmosphere is refreshing. For the staff to be able to laugh,joke around with each other & patrons,means the manager has what it takes to keep their business alive!!

This is an amazing,excellent place to eat. I have been there twice and definitely going back. The variety of items on the menu is great. They serve breakfast all day. You really get your money s worth. The staff is pleasant,friendly and after they serve your meal they check on you often to see if you need anything. I highly recommend it

Went for lunch and the food took a while to come out. Drinks were really good and three of the four of us enjoyed our meals. My chicken burger came with avocado but it was just half an unripe avocado placed on top of the burger. Potato bacon soup and prime rib was really good.

Great new addition for restaurants in Saskatoon, just a bit of work to do on the food. While the portion sizes here are great value for the money most of the food lacked flavour. Anyone who had a burger or sandwich at the table all had soggy bread or buns which kind of ruins things. Service was fast, efficient and friendly and they have a great patio and nice selection of drinks. Will definitely be back and hope they can improve on the food.

Well, after reading all the good reviews, we thought wed try it. Wed given up on going here when it was Rock Creek so had big expectations. It was just OK. What saved it was our server Hanna. She was pleasant and friendly. The food was underwhelming. We had the corn guac - it was fine but you could tell it had been prepped and refrigerated well before serving. The pickled onions were large rings so impossible to eat with chips. Had to cut them up ourselves. Also had the quesadilla which was ok too. Served with a tiny side salad with packaged croutons. Not awesome. Music was great. Table was sticky dirty. Wine was priced well and good. Side sour cream and Salsa was served in plastic containers. This review sounds picky but there are small things restaurants can do to elevate customer experience so I wanted to cover them off. Overall, just an OK experience. We likely wont be back. :(

Ordered dinner including an Old Fashioned and a Steak Dip. The food was really tasty and the drink was perfectly prepared. Our service was excellent. My first visit, but will definitely go back.

My first impression when we walked in was that the place was dirty. Floor was littered and booth divider was dusty and not clean. Nevertheless, the menu looked very interesting and we wanted to give it a try. We ordered the blackened shrimp bites. It came with Canned very small fishy tasting shrimp on top of guacamole and cucumber. The guacamole was very good, the shrimp we couldnt eat. We ordered the brisket grilled cheese. The sandwich was very good but the bottom was very greasy and soggy. The garden salad was very good and fresh. I decided to try the Greek fries. They were ok, but I would not pay extra to order them again. Just my personal preference. Wait staff was very nice but Im not sure I would go back again.

Red Pepper & Feta Stuffed Chicken. The chicken was cold. It barely had any feta in it. My side dish was garlic mashed potatoes. There was no garlic, and the potatoes were very lumpy. The asparagus were very dry and hard. I was very disappointed with the food. I dont recommend trying this place out.

This is an awesome restaurant! The Flats has a great menu, the breakfast menu is two pages. Went there for lunch, a Caesar chicken wrap which included two sides. I had the carrot soup and it was really good. First time I have had carrot soup. I highly recommend The Flats and will definitely be back. Our server was great too.

Had breakfast there.ordered the early riser.the menu said it had bacon and sausage in it but it was very hard to find.mostly just alot of hashbrowns.the coffee was so very strong it was undrinkable.the waitress was nt attentive and when I complained about my meal she just said sorry you didnt enjoy your meal and rolled her eyes at my companion.i will not be back.

Never coming back. Fiancé and I went out to dinner. Steak was tough and pulled pork was dry. We paid the bill and were sitting there finishing our drinks and my fiancé found something hard in her drink. She drank a piece of glass that cut her tongue. Thankfully she didn t swallow it .while my fiancé sat there trying to stop her tongue from bleeding the managers solution was a $25 gift card. Very scary experience, we re scared that she may have unknowingly swallowed glass. To make matters worse, the manager said she ll talk to the bar tender about draining the ice. She was not concerned about immediately draining the ice and ensuring that no one else was drinking from their glasses that may have had ice with pieces of glass in it. Avoid this place.

Really great menu and amazing service

Went around 130. It was nice and quiet in there. Had the chicken strips, fries and Ceasar salad. The strips were breast pieces - nice and juicy.

We were a party of 16, but even so, service was absurdly slow. We often waited 25 min for a drink, and starters came out the same time as entrees. We sent 2 steaks back as they were very overcooked.

I don t even know where to begin. The server was good, and that was about it. They advertise prime rib is on the menu is not a prime rib. It s a steak cooked to how ever you would like, the gravy tasted like it came from a packet off of Safeways shelf, I couldn t figure out what was more mashed , my garlic mashed or my asparagus. For a table spending just under 400$ I would not recommend this place.

We had a very good experience at The Flats. I had the Thai chicken wrap and it was very tasty with the right amount of heat. I liked that you get a choice of 2 sides. Very good selection on the menu. I will be back and will definitely recommend The Flats to others!

Our server Sam made our sons 19th birthday experience a lot of fun! We sat in the lounge & he had great suggestions for drinks. Our sons first Happy Hour was very enjoyable!!

Weve been to The Flats in University Heights/Willowgrove area in Saskatoon 5 times. Each time weve been, the service has been pub friendly where the waiters/waitresses spend just a little bit more time interacting with people than at a restaurant. Weve gone for appys and food/beverages and always good. Our favorite are the Greek Dry Ribs, Nachos and Buffalo Chicken wrap. Tonight we celebrated our sons 19th birthday and wanted to take him walking distance to a lounge and we chose The Flats over other lounges. Sam, our waiter was superb. Charismatic, light and cheerful. He helped to create just the perfect Happy Hour with appys, food, wine and a git dessert for our son. The Flats would be more of a 4.2-4.3/5 restaurant and one you should check out when looking for a fun meal out.

Visited a few weeks back on wing night for the first time, and I really wish I had better things to say. Wings were meaty but the consensus at the table was that all of the flavors we tried were subpar. Unfortunately the service was quite slow to get to us - we spent a lot of time waiting around for our server with empty drinks or to have our order taken. I have heard good things about the other menu items so I will cautiously try this restaurant again.

Third time eating here and its excellent all around

Took for ever to get a server . Food was cold and flavorless. Server was awol whole time. Steak was tough as shoe leather. Terrible experience.

Ordered steak and eggs for lunch. Found the steak overcooked (medium when I asked for rare) and it had no seasoning on it. Everything else was good. Our table of 14 all enjoyed their meals. Food

Went to the flats for supper last night party of four our usual Christmas meal that we need to have. Sheri was very quiet. Had to keep asking her to speak up ordered beer and asked for double the clam couldn t even get that right I had to ask him again to bring more clam, my husband s meal, he ordered steak medium rare. It was more like rubber and Hard to chew ordered the cutlets and the gravy that was supposed to be so good. Wish I would ve sent that back overall not a good experience. Don t think I ll be going back.

Went for lunch here today and was so disappointed! It took an hour for our food to come out, and during that time the waitress didn t check on us once. When the food finally did come out, it was also disappointing. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, the pork was tough and difficult to chew and the bun felt like it had been microwaved. My husband ordered the beef dip (he s a beef dip connoisseur and has tried every beef dip sandwich is YXE) he said it was the worst he has ever had. There was barely any meat and his bun had that same microwaved feel.

Went to the flats last night I had extreme bacon burger with fries. And soup service was excellent. The food was amazing Hands down the best place in town. Food

We were frequent customers of rock creek before the flats moved in, coming to eat almost every weekend as we live very close by. We finally decided to give the flats a try and it was TERRRIBLE. We won t be back. Was informed the soup was a creamy pickle soup with potatoes and carrots so all of us ordered. Received a heated up bowl of pickle juice with 3 tiny diced pickles within. No potatoes, no cream, no carrots, nothing but warm pickle juice and 3 pickles. Terrible. Drink orders were messed up and returned twice and still didn t get what we asked for. Asked for sour cream and butter three times before receiving. Mashed potatoes were lumpy, cold, and serving portion was extremely small. Sandwiches were extremely small and despite being called a grilled cheese had a very small unmelted amount of cheese. $19 for a Christmas themed martini . Taking a bite of the chicken wrap was like a mouthful of straight jalapeños. Server was doing her best to help out and fix problems and was very kind but were very disappointed with food service overall. Each of us (3) paid over $80 to receive a tiny, gross meal that none of us finished, wait forever for things we had asked for, and constantly send back our incorrectly made drinks just to be returned the same thing over and over looks like we will have to find a new place for our weekly girls night. Such a disappointment! The live music was nice however way too loud for a Friday dinner service. It s nice in there, it s unfortunate the food and drinks were so bad

Got the parmesan chicken and it was incredible. Had Kiarra as my server and she did a wonderful job making sure we had everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Been here many times and always happy with the service, food and atmosphere. The staff is awesome, specifically our bartender Mark and of course Shelly who keeps everyone happy! I ll be back!!!!
