Highly recommend this place for any meals of the day. I usually get their vermicelli bowls and the servings are plenty. The staff in the front are very friendly as well. Thanks again! Support your favourite local business!
Special beef pho and the wonton soup were really good.
Got all this since I was staying nearby and can see why it’s rated 5 stars and I agree with that. Made from fresh in 15 minutes and everything was delicious. Nothing to change. The staff are extremely nice and welcoming! Will definitely be going back!
Really good short rib plate with home made kimchi. Their salt and pepper chicken wings are also really tasty. The Pho is very good as well. They make their sauces from scratch. The lady that has always served us is so lovely. Even the way she says hello is so kind. The atmosphere is something that is typical at a small town restaurant, but they more than make up for it with the food and service.
A bit of a hole-in-the-wall spot. Nothing fancy as far as decor or presentation. It was very busy when I arrived at 1 pm, and sat at a long table with a couple of perfect strangers. The wonton soup was excellent, the service was friendly and efficient. Kind of a fun lunch experience.
Excellent customer service and tastes amazing! I'm currently road tripping across Canada and I was craving Vietnamese food for several days now. Thankfully my family and I are staying at a hotel in the area and stumbled across Pho Hao.
Delicious food. Very filling. The ‘Ultimate Stir Fried & Rolls Vermicelli’ was listed as mild spicy. I didn’t find it at all spicy so I had to add some of the pepper sauce. The dry ribs are boneless, which I like, with a lime pepper seasoning. Very tasty. I will go back to try other dishes.
It was delicious! We both got a Peanut Satay pho which was so delicious and BBQ Beef salad rolls & spring rolls! Friendly, fast, tasty and cheap!
Phenomenal food. My go to in Saskatoon for Vietnamese.
Great food
Very good food, nice ambiance and cheap too
Ginger Beef is so good I had to leave a review !!
Best Vietnamese restaurant in town!! A true hidden gem The food is delicious, highly recommended the spring rolls, salad rolls, ultimate vermicelli, fried rice and banh mi. The price is very reasonable and affordable. The lady was nice and friendly. Can t recommend enough!
My husband and I ate Vietnamese rice noodles and spring rolls. I added something with a strong mint scent instead of coriander, and it was better than I thought. I think I will visit again because of your kindness. The price is also good.
love this place I always come here 2-3 times a month for a bowl of satay beef pho
Absolutely love this place! You cannot go wrong with the food and the prices are stellar. You could feed a family of 4 for under 50$
I work nearby and love this place. Sounds funny, but try the sub! Wheelchair accessibility: ground floor accessible Food : 5/5 |
Good food at reasonable prices
What a fantastic experience. As soon as you come in, the mood is wonderful. The meal tastes great. I appreciate your considerate service.
We ordered three meals, the delivery was not great took a long time but we told the owner and they listened. The food was great so I will be going there again maybe just pickup not delivery.
Found this little gem on my last stray in Saskatoon. FANTASTIC. Food
Got a great, balanced, bowl of special pho with tons of meat, etc and fresh shrimp rolls for around $20 +tip. You dont see that much these days. Dont take this place for granted.
Hands down, best Vietnamese Ive had in Saskatoon. I moved back here in 2008 from Calgary and absolutely hate spring rolls made with rice wrappers (which is the norm here in XE). This place uses the wheat wrappers...hooray!!! Best Vietnamese subs too!!!
Been many times and absolutely love the Pho and salad rolls
so delicious
Amazing staff amazing food. I forgot my $4000 bag with all of my ids and cards inside yesterday I went back today and they had it here for me so grateful
Good food and good prices. Super nice lady too!
Pho Hao is truly a hidden gem in Saskatoon! We ordered the vermicelli bowls, pork chop on rice and wonton soup, everything was super fresh and tasty! The price and portion size were great as well! Highly recommend Pho Hao!
Super friendly little hole in the wall. Always busy at lunch. Had the noodle bowl today, tasty and decent portion. Lots of sauce options at the table. Free coffee with lunch, attentive service.
Excellent food and good price.
Ordered from here on skip for the first time. So delicious! We got two noodle bowls and I can probably say this is the best one Ive had in a long time! They did not skimp out on anything (particularly the veggies, meat, and peanuts), the meals were really well priced and came with a good portion and were very delicious!
Have a high expectation for New Year Eve party
The waiter is so nice and friendly, and the price is cheaper and the food is better than other Vietnamese restaurants in Saskatoon. I tried so many Vietnamese dishes in Saskatoon but here is so good and real Vietnamese taste. Although this is a small restaurant, everything is perfect for me. Although the restaurant is small and simple, the food is very delicious. Especially making fish sauce to eat with grilled meat vermicelli, broken rice, standard Vietnamese taste. The broken rice here is number 1. The patties are cut into big chunks and are delicious. Delicious marinated ribs. In general, you must try broken rice here. I have tried other Vietnamese restaurants in Saskatoon, I cant name them. Should try. - 11/10 points Hue beef noodle soup: rich but light broth, lots of meat (because I dont like eating pork rolls, so I asked to replace it with beef, the restaurant happily agreed), when you eat it, you know youll need to cook a separate pot of broth right away, not water. pho, then paste the beef noodles somewhere like Fuh Station please add a cup of chili fish sauce, great - this dish gets 10 points Wontons: clear, light broth, easy to eat, lots of wontons, sometimes the wontons are a little overcooked, so 9/10 points. Grilled pork vermicelli: 10/10 Pho: delicious 9/10 Praise and criticize, fried wontons are not delicious at all, 0/10 points I only dare to evaluate Vietnamese food with Vietnamese flavor. Dishes you should try at the restaurant. From time to time, the shop has many promotions. Cute, pleasant, enthusiastic staff. Luckily there is a restaurant in Saskatoon that doesnt disappoint.
I didnt expect to find good Vietnamese food in Saskatoon but was pleasantly surprised. Prices here are crazy low with the Justinflation we have to deal with, so $10 noodle bowls are a treat. I recommend the butter chicken wings, these were thicc n crispy with butter taste that went super well with the onions. Vermicelli was awesome too.
Service is always good and the food is good as well and reasonable priced. I would suggest trying out the pho here they re all pretty good.
Would give it 4.5 stars. Service and food were both good. Portions were decent. Not gonna say you need to rush here and try it out but if ur in the area and hungry this place could satisfy ya.
I just arrived in town late in the evening and I wanted a restaurant close to my hotel. I chose this establishment as I enjoy Vietnamese food and especially like supporting mom and pop businesses. I told the young man waiting on me that I wanted something with vegetables, meat and some stir fry noodles...but spicy; surprise me. He went in the kitchen and what they came out with checked every box....AND THE FLAVOUR!!!! Done up in the way that only being prepared in a super hot wok can deliver. Vegetables were still crisp, not soggy, and they still retained their individual distinct flavors, yet melded together with the smoky flavor on a bed of stir fried noodles. This place is a must visit. Rarely do you get a symphony of flavors that are pleasing to the palate. These guys deliver on that. It was so good that I ordered one more of the same to go. Well done!!!
Food is very delicious! High quality ingredients. Very friendly staff. Price is reasonable. I recommend this place!
Great food!!! Really nice people. Lowest prices in city.
Excellent food, very reasonable prices and the staff are friendly . Very clean washrooms which I appreciate greatly
I was in the area for a training course for First Aid, and I was told this place was nearby for the lunch break. The food smells and looks amazing, and the two ladies were very friendly. They looked like it had a nice flow of people coming in for lunch, so Im sure the environment is very friendly and excellent. Ill be sure to visit again if Im in the area Yes, I took a bite
I ordered online to try out this restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious their food was! Affordable and yet very tasty. I will be back for sure.
Grt food grt prices
Wonderful little restaurant tucked away in a commercial area. The food was very good and the service was excellent.
This restaurant serves many typical Vietnamese food. It tastes good.
They dont explain certain things in detail, but their food is pretty good. Wish it were cheaper though :/
The food here is different. I did not like it. That does not mean the food was bad. Just that it was not per my liking.
Ate here and like others, it was okay. The prices are really good and the dish size was reasonable for sure. It was very easy to drop in and grab a bite which is a very nice thing. The food was as it should be, which is why I tried a classic meal but the flavours were very lacking and the meal was very forgettable. The deep fried spring rolls were okay, hard to do these wrong but the Pho was very bland and lacked depth. I added all the basil, added peanut sauce and it helped give some sort of flavour but ultimately I would pass on the Pho for sure next time. Nothing was wrong and the staff was helpful but the place feels dated and the taste isnt there for me to want to come back again.
My family and I have been travelling across Canada from Ontario to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Bc, and Yukon and out of all the Vietnamese places we went to this one was the best AND the Cheapest!!! Large portions, taste was amazing and the price was the best. I would highly recommend going here. They also offer free coffee for those who sit in, but it was a bit late in the night so we skipped that. We also noticed that their breakfast prices looked really good too! If we were in town longer I would have liked to check out their breakfast too.
Soo good! Looking forward to trying the soups
Hole in the wall pho- made with love. So good! I m around the area often and will definitely be stopping in again.
Very tasty!
Prices of a cheap joint, but QUALITY was top notch! Portions were smaller, but easy on thr pocket, and delicious! Vegetarian options: Excellent tofu dishes, so everyone, not just meat eaters were happy
Great spot. Great priced noodle bowls.
Authentic food good portion sizes
Great Service, Great Prices, Food was Tasty! Hidden little gem
Reminded me of the Old Rex Cafe In hometown I loved it The Chicken Fingers were great and going to get the the shrimp Chop Suey next and close to work Have a Great Day!
Yup its still great
Restaurant lists Vietnamese subs on Skip. I ordered one and the restaurant called and said they no longer make bahn mi and misinterpreted what I said and took it as permission to substitute deep fried wontons instead. The food that did come was not good - the fresh rolls are small, the spring rolls are small and bland compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, and are wrapped in wheat flour wrappers instead of rice paper.
Good bowl of pho at a fantastic price! Friendly and fast service.
The food is very good. Delicious vietnamese food and nice service.
The foods í v t good
Noodle bowls, rolls and ice coffee were amazing. Service was friendly and very fast. My new go to for sure.
I had the special stir fried with shrimp beef chicken served with crispy... Food was great!. The more I ate the more I saw in my plate. The chef must be a magician. With such good food can only come good dreams. Possibly the lottery winner.
Yummy noodle bowls. Had someone with us that preferred the all day breakfast so everyone was happy. Nice to have that option.
Fast and friendly service. The menu is not too extensive, but covers enough items. They offer all day breakfast. Amazing prices. Recommended!
Had the beef soup and spring rolls...no regrets
We had the best ginger beef and a great Vietnamese noodle bowl. Excellent prices. We had to go back again.
Good very good
Cant get enough of all the delicious food here with great background radio music of Tims Stone.
Had dinner here. The pricing is mind blowing and the food is delicious. If you like Vietnamese dishes you will not be disappointed.
Food was great, and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly. Great discovery. Parking: Its in a small strip mall with limited parking.
Fast lunch.
The food was delicious the service was fantastic the young gentleman that served us made us feel like he knew us forever..i would definitely go back again.. Covid cleaned
Hole in the wall but surprisingly good!!! Also great value.
Been coming here for years. Price us right. So happy they survived Covid. Sorry didnt take pics
Really good breakfast we will be back
Had the noodle bowl and it was great
Breakfast special eggs bacon hashbrowns and toast for under 6.00
Very delicious and great service . Always leave with a smile .
It has been better in the past. Eggs were cold. Had to ask for coffee refill. Had to ask for cutlery. But they were the only handy place open at that time of the morning.
Very good awesome good food
Great prices and good food
Breakfast was good, nothing amazing tho. Price was right, $5.75 for 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Server was wearing a mask, you can only sit at every other table. Id go again to try the noodle bowls.
Really good breakfasts. Good price and portions are more than enough. Nice to see the social distancing and masks on the staff
Fast food service, polite, very concise!
I had a nice omelet and vegetable beef dish
It was awesome and the prices were very good
Cheap breakfast, not oversalted and server was attentive and polite.
Great food at a very reasonable price. The buffet is small but it has a great selection of Chinese and Canadian food to choose from. Always great service. A very quiet, cozy place to go for lunch. Love going here!
Good food
$12.00 is reason able in price once in a while! Smorgasbord
My favorite little restaurant in town. I look forward to stopping here in my travels. Spring roll are to die for! Same owners for over 24 years.
Clean, reasonably priced, good buffet definitely worth a try
Great take out buffet for lunch, affordable price?
A little hidden treasure. You could blink and miss it from the road. The inside is modest and clean with a little retro touch. The food looks like any other buffet but I was very impressed with the flavors. The service was pleasant with a smile. I will definitely come back to try the breakfast.
Tasty food a good chance on menu and reno will it make a better and cozy place.
Check it out. Worth the stop. Diamond in the rough. Takes u back to small town Chinese diner kinda vibe.
Simple Mom&Pop diner like place. Good simple food. Their lunch buffet is small but good!
Place is always clean, the buffet was good, they have awesome chicken and wonton soup, owners and staff are also always friendly.
The details. Chau Anns offers a $5.75 breakfast. It is 2 eggs, bacon, sausage or ham toast and hasbrowns. I could talk endlessly about little critiques. Like I personally didnt enjoy the sausages but the bacon was fine. I am not a coffee drinker but coca cola was available. Toast was available either brown or white but it was not quality bread. Is it good or is it bad? People, for $5.75 it is adequate. I would say overall skip the sausages and have white bread.
Delicious and fresh food served at the buffet.
Food is good really affordable
Good food. Good price
Attentive service. Good price. Fresh food.
Had the lunch buffet, very tasty! Will definitely come again, especially at that price..! It was a very nice birthday lunch. I love the small town feel to everything as well! Very good staff!
Best deal in town for Buffet , not a 1st date place but nice with family on weekends and for fellow blue collar workers on weekday lunch.
Fantastic service and food for a great price!
Limited decor, good breakfast!
Its ok
Great breakfast
Love this place. Have breakfast a couple times a week when my office was across from them. Good food. Classic feeling
Great lunch buffet for what you pay and its the cheapest in the city plus theres lots of selection. Service was very friendly and they made sure we had water!
Good food Quality, the price is affordable compared to other Buffets!
Tasty cheap greasy Chinese food. Cheap little lunch buffet weekdays till 230
I always enjoy their breakfast specials, I have been going there for many years and never been disappointed. I was a little worried when I realized that new people had taken over, but it was unnecessary since the new people are every bit as good as the old. Keep up the good work and I will continue to be a loyal breakfast customer.
Yummy!
great breakfast for a smaller restaurant
The food is ok and its nice and quite
I love this little gem. Great food, great prices and super friendly staff.
The owners were rude. I had shells in my scrambled eggs. The poor waitress tried her best.
Affordable and abundant Chinese food lunch buffet. Good food that hits the staples I expect from a meal of Chinese food.
Great Breakfast Special
Good tasting food and good prices
By far one of the best small town experiences you can get in a city. Walking into the door made me travel through time back to my home town. Food was fresh, fast, and great. In under 10 minutes I had my order taken, and delivered. However I only had a toasted Bacon tomato sandwich. Very nice a quiet, with only workmen and passerbys stopping in. A great place to have a bite and coffee, even in the middle of the lunch rush. Wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable in the menu. If you ever need to escape the rush of the city, which you will on circle drive with its constant traffic, this is the best place to be.
Food is tasty, Chinese buffet, Vietnamese and Chinese menu, small, quaint, mostly filled with local office workers who most likely frequent the place for coffee and breaks. It was good food and friendly service.
Great old school Chinese Food
It doesnt open untill 4 a.m
