My family has ordered take out and dined in here many times in the past years. We ve never had a bad experience here. The food is always good here. Most of the time we ordered take out and portions are a good size for the price. Some of our favourite dishes here are the noodle bowls ,lemon chicken, Spring rolls,chicken balls , ginger beef and more

food is great, if there s anything wrong with your order, the employees don t hesitate to make it right. i would recommend this place to my friends :)

Probably we were the last customers that night. If I were the owner; would have announced to the customers- We Are Closed Now! Sorry. They didn t. We were hungry and ordered. Distasteful, kind of stale and low in taste. Greed for $70 is getting this hopeless review. Anyone who cooks knows how good is food at that time!

I love their delicious and fresh vermicelli noodle bowls that comes with pork, chicken, beef, shrimp, or vegetarian style with veggie spring rolls and vegan sauce. Their chicken pad thai is also a favourite of mine. Their style of the dish is very yummy and filling:)

We ordered Dinner for 2 B on November 15, 2024. Everything tasted good until we found two cock roaches inside the plastic bag they store the food in. We loved ordering from here but wont anymore after the little incident

They have the biggest house special noodle bowl in Saskatoon that I have tried to date. It tastes excellent as well-probably the most delicious I have tried so far!! The restaurant is super clean and the service is FAST!

Charbroiled pork vermicelli was delicious and filling

It is one of my favorite places to eat in the city. Its so flavourful. Large gluten free selection as well.

I come from Abbotsford, BC and am visiting SK for 3 weeks, on a recommendation came to Summer Roll as they have GF options and I have Celiac disease. I was absolutely shocked to see that ginger beef was GF and spring rolls as well chow mein and talking to the waiter, it seemed true. It tasted amazing! Truly amazing and delicious, so glad I could eat them. BUT then the evening came .. and I was running to the bathroom every 5 minutes. My intestines were being torn apart! Pain. I was GLUTENED! I should ve trusted my gut instincts and not had that and ordered what I m used to. And now a week later I m still paying for it. So, CELIACS be careful and cautious Of course everything I ate was gluten free! The ginger beef had gf beside it, the spring rolls were said to be fried separately in their own oil for no cross contamination and the chow mein was gf Singapore!

Came here for the first time. Friday evening close to 6 pm. Was it busy this evening that we showed up. Line up for pickup of food to go and barely any tables for dine in guests. Food was tasty. It did not bother me to badly. ( I have a shell food allergy, and if there is fish sauce added for flavoring, it could bother me as some are using a shellfish base) Out of the four of us, I was the only one to have pho. Everyone else had rice vermicelli bowls with spring rolls on top. We also had their summer rolls to taste to see if it was any good. All very tasty and the guests with us had normally ordered from this location for delivery. They were impressed that the food tasted much different compared to being taken out containers. A good difference so now they have something they can go by for tastes. Parking as tight getting in and out of the spots in that lot as there are many different businesses in that strip mall. Parking: Hard to get in and out of spots, very business strip mall at times.

Its always a nice treat of fresh Vietnamese food

Got takeout. A dinner for four. Barely any food in the containers. Extremely oil soaked and not cooked enough, bitting into the sweet and sour ribs, I ate four and couldn t eat anymore, each bit was a gush of oil in my mouth. No flavor at all. The rice was overcooked and the flavor profile was like plain white rice. For 90$ I certainly will not order from here again. Very disappointed

Chow mein was way too salty, literally felt like my it was burning my wife s tongue, I tried and agreed. I got the Special Birds nest- hold the shrimp but sub in beef. Firstly the meat was shredded. Made me feel like a baby. Secondly their was no extra beef as requested for shrimp sub in. Ton of vegetables but very very cheap on the meat. I feel as though this place has no idea how to use MSG. They were also rude to our children. Will never eat here again. Dishes have very low amounts of meat. Mi Hongs, White Lotus or Red Pepper Restaurant are far better, also way better service.

Consistenly the best Vietnamese restaurant in the city. The curry soup, pad thai and spring rolls are the standouts on a very good menu with reasonable prices. Will always come back here.

Great food...and very quick service and the portions are huge! Good value...the food has always been hot and tasty. Also a very clean and spacious place.

I really wanted to like this place and have heard great things from tons of people, but I legitimately threw out my entire combo for 3 because it tasted horrible. Low grade mall food at the best. I hope I just had a bad experience, but wont be trying again

I have visited many Vietnam restaurants in town, this is the best place to have Pho and some other southeast Asian dishes. We have ordered a Chicken and Shrimps Pad Thai, all of us love this dish with little bit sweet and sour flavour. Not as dry as stir fired noodles. The best Pad Thai in town. The Beef and Beef Ball noodles soup also tasted great. Not too much MSG, and still taste fresh and delicious. The soup is the key, if too much MSG, you will feel very salty and very thirsty after eating. The renovation is bright and clean, I like it so much. Most restaurants are pretty dark style with full of sunlight get through the window, which makes you feel upset. Here has very gentle lighting and comfortable. I am not a fan of this type of food, so I cant comment there. Im commenting on the amazing staff/owner. Before Christmas, the church I attend, was doing a Christmas brunch for the ladies. We wanted gift cards as door prizes and went around the area. Summer Roll didnt have the amount we wanted. She was so kind and donated 2 in a different amount. What a kind heart. We were so thankful. As for the food...everyone Ive talked to says its amazing!

This a wonderful little neighborhood restaurant! The food is great with very large servings and the service is friendly and quick. My daughter has celiacs and there is a good selection of gluten-free dishes which is a huge bonus! I highly recommend the spring rolls for an appetizer. The chicken and shrimp pad Thai is delicious as well as gluten-free free. Give this place a try...you wont be disappointed! Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options

On our way back home to Edmonton from Watrous and just googled best vietnamese restaurant in Saskatoon. Several restaurants popped out but I have chosen the one with the most review. So we landed here and it didnt disappoint us. Great food, fast service and affordable. Never mind the many taxes of Saskatoon.

First visit. I had vegie coconut curry soup. Tasty. But it was just a bowl of broth w noodles. I usually get veggies or something within the soup at other places And there is no vegetarian section on menu. They were kind to help. Its cozy. Not a lot of room in the building. Appears clean and taken care of. It was good. More NO MEAT dishes would be great.

Food was quite good, most of the dishes were at, or above, what you would expect, but the pad thai stood out as outstanding. Decent sized portions. Service is good, but a bit casual.

Summer Roll is a fantastic Chinese and Vietnamese fusion restaurant with tons of gluten free and dairy free options. They are very understanding and accommodating of allergies and food intolerances.

It was an excellent experience the Fam Loved it! Definitely will be back.

Great food!

Ruined our fathers day. Went for father s day dinner with the family. Got seated. Gave our order and were informed that food may take a while. We thought ok 20 min maybe 30. So we waited and waited. People who have come after us got their food to which we thought ok we should be getting our order soon. Nope 1 hr passed and nothing..we notice we are the only non white family in the restaurant and everyone was getting their food except us. It definitely made us question their servicing priorities based on race. We ask the waitress how much longer it would be and she said not sure about 2 hours and tell us that we can cancel and leave. Another waitress comes and says here is a voucher. So it is almost 7pm we have 2 cranky kids and a voucher to come eat there later. The voucher is not even enough to cover one person. I have never experienced such a bad treatment from a restaurant. We will definitely not be going here or Fongs ever again.

Waited 2 hours and 20 minutes for our food to be delivered. We phoned at 2 hours and they said it just left the restaurant. No discount or anything to compensate. Good food, horrible wait times. I recommend eating in.

The food at Summer Roll restaurant is simply amazing. I had the house special XL combo Vermicelli and it was definitely worth it. The flavors were incredible and the portion size was generous. I highly recommend trying it out if youre a fan of Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, Summer Roll is definitely a top pick for anyone looking for delicious food and great service.

Summer roll is our go to restaurant for Chinese food but over the last few times we have ordered from there it has started to go downhill. Always seems to be a lot of confusion at pickup and the portions have gotten very small and prices have gone up. I understand that food prices have increased but the containers had barely enough food to feed 4 adults. Flavour was also lacking. Very disappointing as the food was always good but unfortunately will be looking for new takeout options

I would rate zero star if i could..We ordered two fried rice and spring rolls for starter..spring rolls were okay but the fried rices were the most terrible we ever had..it was served below room temperature cold and the chicken smelled and tasted old..when we complained the waitress said they will fix it and it was just brought back microwaved..the same thing was served we know bcos my friend kept the chicken pieces on the plate aside while she atfirst started eating..it didnt end there..when i asked for a takeout box the women at the counter told me she is busy, so ask to the other waitress who never even cared when i asked her about this..even when i wanted to pay and leave that place she made me wait for 10 minute atleast and there were a few people waiting behind me for the same..the worst i have seen in saskatoon..

We have ordered to our work 2x this month for lunch meetings from Summer Roll. The food is absolutely delicious and delivered hot and ready. The customer service on the phone has been phenomenal and very accommodating. We have a staff member who is vegetarian and they were happy to make some of the dishes veggie only without even an extra thought. Thorough with repeating orders and delivery instructions as well. I highly recommend Summer Roll!

Food was okay, but they put the fish sauce in the vermicelli bowls for you, which was way too much. I recommend asking for it on the side staff was a little less than friendly but not out of line or anything. I would go back if it was convenient but wouldnt go out of my way.

The food here is great but man the prices have become highway robbery! I understand things are difficult with inflation and stuff but I sure don t order as much from here anymore due to the cost factors.. Kind staff here and good food as always though. Just need a better economy I guess!

Food was incredible! What ruined the experience was the poor service and the staffs children listening to their phones on full blast and running around the restaurant like it was their playtime. From what I hear this is a common experience here and for that reason will not be back. Sucks as the food is so good and would like to make this place a staple.

Great food. The staff was great. The place they are in is a little small. I was seated near the till and had people standing over my shoulders. But I give it 5 stars despite that because everything else was great. Its close to my work and I will 100% consider it for future lunches and even as a take out option in the future.

Summer roll has best cold rolls & peanut sauce that I have personally had. I ve tried many Vietnamese places and nobody does it like summer roll. Very good noodle bowls as well. Staff are always friendly and the food is always fresh and ready quick. So glad to have this restaurant in the north end.

Chicken Tom Yum was delicious .broth was extraordinary. My friend Vermicelli with spring rolls and it looked as delicious as she said it was.

My husband and I have take out from Summer Roll every couple of weeks and we are so thankful they are in our area. I always have the spring rolls on vermicelli bowl, which is just delicious. My husband has the shrimp with extra sauce, which he shares with me; they re great too. The staff are always friendly! An excellent, neighborhood restaurant, with equally good Vietnamese and Chinese food. Fresh and hot.

The price is comparable to most Asian dining in the city but the quality and taste is awesome. The servings are a good size too. Wonton soup is best in the city that I have had. Very comfortable as well. Recommended for sure.

I ended up waiting twenty minutes before a server came and took my order for a jackfruit shake, and another twenty minutes before my jackfruit shake was ready!

I try to eat at a new Pho spot in each city I visit and today was Summer Roll in Saskatoon. broth was pretty delicious.. wasent a big fan on the type of noodle they use in the soup. I would try it again

They had vegetarian options for fish sauce, the veg spring rolls would be way better without the potato, but the tofu was cooked perfectly would go here again.

Delicious food, but no Halal. You can choose vegetables or Shrimp or both as menu, nice and clean, very good Customer service, clean washroom, wheelchair accessible parking lot. Gluten free options but you have to ask for it. Challenges you may found is waiting to get into and car parking. Highly recommend.

We ordered two dishes, one being the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai. There was lots of food and it was so good, we ate it all. I had preordered for a specific time and it was ready when I got there. Everything was clean with alcohol gel at the door. I did take out as the Covid numbers are high in Saskatoon at this point. However, there were only two or three tables occupied when I went in at 6:15 on a Sunday so I would have felt quite comfortable eating there

Do not put in a phone order. We had extreme difficulty in relay our order. The girls taking our order could not understand what we wanted. In the end we got half what we ordered. The food was good but we did not receive what we wanted. Disappointing.

Consistently great food at reasonable prices. Highlights are the Tom Yum and Pho soups, and the XL noodle bowls. Service was a little slow when we ate in the restaurant recently, but it was obvious they also had a lot of take-oit and delivery orders at the same time. Even so, the service was still good with friendly, accomodating staff doing their best to keep our large group happy and well-fed.

It is our neighbourhood go-to restaurant, but we hadnt been for awhile due to covid. It was even better than remembered! The summer rolls are the best we have found in the city. Use the mint leaves along with the peanut sauce.
