Cheap bowls

I ordered Deluxe Special Soup with Rice noodles. However, I dont like that the noodles they put into my noodle soup was ALL CUT-UP in 2 inches lengths - I am Asian, & in Asia, noodles R supposed to be long, NOT broken into short pieces - its a NO NO!!! I like this soup & Thien Viet has the best tasting rendition of this soup amongst all other Vietnamese restaurants, BUT, this is the 2nd time they gave me SHORTENED-BROKEN rice noodles & I am very disappointed, really!!! The servers asked the kitchen staff & they were offering to replace the order, but I dont want to wait again... Service is fine. Price is very reasonable.

My fiancé ordered the beef noodle bowl for supper on Thursday. He started to feel sick that night. He woke up at 4:00AM and rushed to the bathroom and was puking for a long time. He had to call into work because of how sick he was. Today he is a bit better but still not able to eat much. The beef was obviously bad and gave him food poisoning. We are both too worried to go back there again. I m thankful I ordered food from somewhere else that night but I m pissed that my fiancé got sick.

The food and pricing are really good. Service can be quite tricky, especially during work week lunch times.

Eating a late lunch I observed verbal abuse, intimidation and physical aggression toward a customer by staff at this location. I couldn t hear fully the customer s topic of conversation but she remained calm both in the voice and physical energy. A person at a nearby table came to her defence when a male employee lunged at her with his arm out. Food and pricing has been good over the years but this display of aggression toward anyone doesn t make it worth it.

I have tried the spice beef noodle soup here. It s the closest to Vietnamese flavors among the restaurants Ive tried.

Food is average taste - not exciting, not fully authentic Asian cuisine - it s a infusion. Serving size is adequate. Simple sitting arrangements, very ordinary interior.

Ordered from here some years back, and went to pick up my order. Was told that in case they missed anything, just call! I got home and was missing two of my dishes. No big deal, I thought! I called and let them know what I was missing, and who I can only presume was the owner started yelling and cussing at me, accusing me of trying to rip him off. Still havent been back since. Ill never support a restaurant that treats paying customers that way!

I feel the quality of service has declined in a big way compared to a few years ago. For example, today I gave two orders. They brougt one of my orders wrong, and forgot to bring another order which made us wait way longer than usual wait time for the food to get ready. Also, when I wanted to give the 3rd order a few minutes after the 2nd order was put on our table, despite calling several times, I had to go to the front desk to give my order because no one paid attention to us and we were ignored. In addition to these, they also dont bring your order on time most of the time. The wait time is now way longer than before. The quality of customer service is getting poor. In addition, a clean restroom reflects the overall hygiene standards of your restaurant. It sends a message to your customers that you care about their well-being and maintain a clean and healthy environment. Keep it clean at all times.

Had lots of fried rice here, favorite is pork and beef fried rice. Just make sure to put lots of Sriracha hot sauce on it and its good. This was a usual pit stop for me way way back when I used to play Pokémon Go, lifetimes ago. Also the prices here are really easy on the eyes and wallet. Parking: Parking is all paid and you may have to park miles away.

This restaurants food is good, however, I think they should upgrade their interior. Its a little antic in my opinion. Dont even talk about parking in the whole of downtown. Its crazy

Most wonderful experience! The above sentence was one of my first reviews. Thien Vietnam has opened two additional branches since then and the location of the original store has moved as well. I am happy to say that the quality of the food is still awesome. Of course I admit that there has been instances that they have had mistakes in my order or the food has been cold when brought to the table. But all and all, this is the restaurant I miss when I am not in Saskatoon.

Really bad service I got here. I was picking up food and requested for using their washroom and got told it s only for customers, while I m not a customer if I m picking up food for a customer that was ordered from that restaurant. Absolutely hated that moment. Other locations did not have that impression at all.

Ordered wonton soup by delivery, the lid was not secured and soup was spilled at the bottom of the delivery bag. What was left of the soup in the container was loaded with mushrooms to the point the broth tasted like mushroom soup, its very unusual to have so many mushrooms in the soup to the point it effects the taste. Also ordered fried noodle stir fry with chicken and it was also loaded with mushrooms and the lid wasn t secured. Mushrooms are not a listed ingredient in these dishes on your menu, so be mindful to add it in so customers aren t surprised like I was.

they have a NEW POLICY now that SKIP drivers are not allowed to use the washroom....as we are NOT GUEST! Little they know that we are representing the customers by getting their food they order. This location in downtown is not good place to go, aside from slow service, staff are not knowledgeable what CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!

We ordered our food then no one knew where our food was. Had to call home to see what was actually ordered so they could find out food. This has happened now two times. I m a firm believer of giving a second and sometimes three tries. But man this is making it hard to order and come back to pick up. Same thing happened 1st time. No one knew where our food was.

Everything is good. Good service. Wed ordered 4 course of food but the stirfry beef that i ordered this time is tasted like a spoiled meat. Very disappointed! I ordered thru skip the dishes but when I received my orders, 1 fish sauce is missing and 1 order of #50. This is the 2nd time it happened but the first one that I called the restaurant, they deliver the missing products after an hour. Im not sure whats the policy is but what I am concerned about I had chosen delivery coz I cant drive anymore and I am after the convenience of just waiting for my orders at home. The Filipina lady wants me to pick the missing items with her knowing that I cant drive. I am not after the refund because at that time because we are a family of four and now one cant eat because his order is missing. What a shame Thanks for ruining our family dinner just because someone did not do the job properly Now tell me how can I get my money back?????

The food was good, lots of variety. There is a lot of seating available. Downtown so parking is limited, It was quite busy when I was there. Met a co-worker for lunch. I gave another try despite of my previous bad experiences with the food. -Shanghai noodles with pork was dry and tasteless. -Spring rolls were hard and oily. -Shrimp with sweet and sour sauce was terrible because they deep fried the pre-cooked shrimps that you can buy from grocery store. there food is not as good as use to be use to be good and cheap but now quality gone down hill right now and some prices have changed a little as well. and there is places in city that have better quality and better service cleaner places to get Asian food I can think of few such as Red pepper and spicy garden.

The lady on the phone who took my order was rude and very unprofessional. I had to repeat myself way too many times because she wasnt listening and was talking to someone else at the same time. The lowest quality ingredients and worst customer service. Prices are low for a reason--you get what you pay for. Try one of the many other much better options in the city, you will regret your Thien order every time.

Great food. I have eaten here multiple times, the staff is always friendly and more often than not they are attentive. I usually go for tue daily special which is alway really good and a great value. I have had a few other items from their menu and I havent found anything I was unhappy with.

Went for lunch on a Friday. Service was so so. We had to get extra utensils ourselves. Ordered Singapore noodles extra spicy and spring rolls. They were just okay, nothing special. I used to really enjoy this place, but definitely not that much anymore.

They are using dark meat chicken instead of chicken breast in the noodle bowls now, so there is gristle and fat throughout that is off-putting. The spring rolls are also spongier than they usually are, like they have more filler? I would really prefer they up their prices a little to maintain the quality that used to set them apart from other Asian food places, rather than cut corners.

Service was horrible, we were there first and 2 other tables were served before us, there was blood on the washroom walls and made me lose my appetite...I use to love coming here...not so much anymore......

Not custome service tho. We read all reviews on googdle before deciding to visit the resto. We really want support the Vietnamese restaurant; however, the food is very bad, and taste is very awful, they are mixed of Vietnamese and Chinese food. Awful Pho is without sauce and vegetables, pork vermicelli is weirdo. Especially, the servants are very rude and unfriendly there. We never visit the place again.

Then I thought they charged for extra sauce but apparently the delivery fee is $4 if you order online and $8.50 if you order over the phone. What a joke

I was there to meet a friend. There were not much people but still we were waiting for a long time to be seated! Order number 69 and the food was fine but again had to wait for a long time! The price was reasonable but waiting time was too much! I had to renew my parking twice!!

This is a pork noodle bowl and I told the waitress that I didnt like it it had like a sour taste to it and it didnt taste fresh it was really super soggy. We ended up ordering something else and we told him that we werent going to pay for it because we didnt want to pay for gross rotten food. This place used to be an amazing place to go to but its just so overly greasy the vegetables could be cut way smaller. And why so much onion...the pink stuff didnt taste like pork but it had a toothpaste texture....it was just sooooo gross. This place isnt anything like it was before it had new management......

Walked in today before work. A few tables were filled. Not very busy. I was shown 3 tables that all had food still on the table or seating area. When I asked the server to maybe clean it, she did not even see the mess. I walked out.

Food was not bad. Service was non existent. Not many people in the restaurant but every empty table was dirty and covered in dishes. We ordered two dishes and rice to share. The dishes arrived at the table about 15 minutes apart and they didnt bring any plates to eat from. No drinks either. The flow of delivery drivers picking up food to deliver was constant. Maybe they have decided to cater to take out in favour of dine in customers. Pretty disgraceful service.

It s been a few months now that I ve ordered from this place. If the kitchen was glass wall partition you wouldn t eat from this place. YES ITS cheap but so does other place down the street with quality. I ordered from this place so many time and they can t seem to get it right. I always receive my food box dirty with grease and rice in the outside of my package. Only place decent is Thien Vietnam 3 right at circle drive. Only place with decent service and food.

My classmates and I wanted to go and sit down somewhere, so we chose this place. Huge regret, as we waited over an hour for simple dishes, and as indigenous people, it was upsetting seeing white people being served before us. They did not want to give us a refund, but we demanded, and we walked back into class late. I think they need new people running that place, it was absolutely a horrible experience. 10/10 recommend Fuh Station, as they have better service, and food.

Food has definitely gone down hill over the years. Numerous places have popped up that rival Thiens on price how. Previously this place was good because it was cheap, but prices have been going up, and quality has been going down.

The wait staff went from pressuring me to order to just about ignoring me. My appetizer came after my main. I had to ask for chopsticks. Was never asked how my food was. Had to seek out a server to pay my bill. At least the food was good. They brought the service back up. Food

This place used to be so good. Now when you order the food is rotten. I had rotten chicken balls from here not to long ago. Recently rotten beef soup. Both times they refused to refund my money or exchange the food. The waiter is rude and unprofessional. This place is scary to go to anyways since in down town and theres alot of crime. Might aswell go to 8th st or 51st. So unimpressed I hope people domt go here..

Good food for a great price. The place wasnt busy while I was here, so service wasnt an issue. One plate was brought at a time when only 2 plates were ordered, which was a little odd. But the 2nd plate wasnt far behind. So It makes some of these other reviews believable. Still giving 5 stars, as I will be back.
