418 Fourth Line W, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 0B5, Canada
Upscale steakhouse offering a warm, homey vibe, an eclectic, farm-to-table menu & top-shelf spirits.
First time there would go back food was awesome are prices fair beer was cold staff are friendly service was great
Was expecting a much better experience for the price point. I won't be going back. 1) they couldn't find my reservation, it was at the top of the page 2) it took about 15-20 for our drinks to arrive and the martini given was not great 3) I had to get up and ask a random staff for some side plates to share our appetizers. 4) appetizers were not as good as expected, the spinach dip was maybe 3 cm deep and mostly hardened melted marble cheese ..... 5) my steak requested was not medium rare as requested 6) server did not ask us if we wanted refills on our drinks. 7) went up to the bar to buy some more drinks (cause they didn't come and serve us after the meal was served), was told they would bring the bill but I had to go up and pay on the way out. Not to mention the flies. Was expecting a much better experience, very disappointed. Probably should have left when we had the chance, waiting for our drinks ...
Went in for dinner, party of 4. Had a reservation. Appetizers and entree were good quality, however the cocktails were not prepared well and the service was slow and horrible, especially regarding drink service. After 20 minutes we had to go up to the bar multiple times, and it was not busy whatsoever. I have had much better service and meals at Arturos and North 82. I had not been to embers in several years and am disappointed.
Reuben sandwiches & salmon entree were delicious, as was the unique butter tart. The banana split was a little underwhelming & I couldn’t discern whiskey sauce. Server, Issac was humorous, personable & efficient! Word of caution- when asking for the best table make sure to specify whether or not you wish the dining room or bar & have proof or if they’re busy, you’ll be asked to go to the bar side… very odd. When I insisted on the dining room we were asked if we could stay within a set time limit. Not pleased!
Visited this restaurant with colleagues in spring of 2024. Ambiance, service, and food are all top notch. Highly recommended!
Where do i start … everything was perfect and so was our server Mia . We had been wanting to try this place since we moved here two months ago. This is a gem the atmosphere very nice and service was top notch and on point . The food was unreal i can’t say enough about this place we were very pleased . If i could eat here everyday i would . Mia made it even better she was very nice and chatted with us and accommodated us every way . Huge thumbs up for this place and i have already been telling everyone . Best mussels with tomato broth so good and we had the scallop with bacon oh my unbelievable. my friend had the kangaroo he absolutely loved it . Myself i had the salmon and i have to say the biggest piece and the best tasting salmon it was candied on both sides i could eat it all the time . My hubby had the steak and mushrooms on the side just perfect . Thank you Mia and Ember on the Ridge staff .
Beautiful indoor restaurant and event space with lots of space and big windows. Held a bridal shower here some time ago, in accordance with the restrictions at that time. It's a great space because it offers both an indoor area and an outdoor covered patio, so in case restrictions changed, we could move the event outdoors. The on-site event planner Megan was very knowledgeable and abundantly helpful. We planned the majority via email: going over seating arrangements, menu options, etc. Before the event, we were able to set up and move around the branch boxes to make a lovely backdrop and open up the space. The food, as always, was delicious and the raspberry lemonade sangria was a favourite.
I had probably the single best meal of my life here. If not the best def top 3. Everything was incredibly fresh, delicious, made with skill and care. My girl wanted her NY off the bone so they sliced it and brought it out with an amazing presentation. The Brie and apricot app was outstanding. Service was great, atmosphere was quiet, peaceful, romantic. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could.
When my wife asked where I would like to go for Birthday dinner it was easy: embers! Sadly the Soo is losing its par-excellence restaurants. First Gliss closed. Then Slow n Low sold to new owners who threw out the menu- what made that place special. And now Embers - recently sold to new owners it retains none of the joy for food, nor expertise, nor excellence the previous chef had. Where once you could order kangaroo steak and bison, now you can only order pedestrian rotisserie chicken, ribs, or steak with fries or mashed potatoes. Gone is flavour bursting ingredients like cilantro or white truffle oil. Instead of pork belly the Bahn Mi sandwich is made with brisket . I use the term loosely because it tastes like regular old roast beef. The tomato and bacon soup tastes like it came from a can. It probably doesn t, but its so wholly uninspired that it might as well be. My 11-year-old could make a better soup. My memory of dining here last year was having to choose from five Amazing options. Now I had to force myself to pick anything. The food is way overpriced for what you re now getting. Save money and just go to Giovanni s or North 82 for basically the same menu. I predict they will be out of business in 3 years, enough time for all the old customers to return once and never again. Drastic changes are needed in the kitchen.
We had a reservation. The food was very good. The noise level in the restaurant was extreme. The service was terrible. We waited for around 25 minutes from the time that we sat down to our table until someone came around to get a drink. It was almost 30 minutes between courses. Seems excessive for a restaurant that costs so much to eat there.
Embers is the best place in Sault Ste Marie to go for lunch, in my opinion. The prices are very fair and the food is great. They also have a great patio overlooking the golf course to sit on a nice day. The staff are also very friendly. Worth the short drive out of town.
The service was on point! Thank you Lars and Trina! The food was delicious (ribeye and angry seafood). The atmosphere was lovely.
Made 4 calls from Tuesday to Friday to ensure i had a table for 2 for my birthday celebrations. Arrived and the table I was promised had been given to another couple. When we were seated at a table next to them I was asked to move again. I got up and left. Pathetic, incompetent and pretentious. I will never try to go to Embers ever again. Went to Arturos.
Great food, great setting and amazing service!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere!
Our waitress Karen was amazing however it took over an hour for our food. I ordered medium rare 10oz steak and my partner ordered the rotisserie chicken. The chicken came out perfect but unfortunately my steak came out well done. I did inform our server and she did give us a dessert on the house as I did not nor did I have the time to potentially wait another hour for a steak. I will say though I was a bit disappointed that we still had to pay the $60+ for the steak that was made incorrectly. Will give the place a second chance but very disappointing first visit
The service was amazing and the interior was cozy. The food was superb and had large servings of food, overall the experience was spectacular.
My husband and I recently stopped by Embers On The Ridge during our road trip from NYC and it was one of the best decisions we made! The steaks were absolutely phenomenal - cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. Every bite was a delight, and we couldnt stop raving about how good and tasty they were. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal on the road. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. If youre on a road trip and looking for a memorable dining experience, we highly recommend Embers On The Ridge!
Love the decor. Staff was so helpful.
I like this place. None alike in the city. Dietary restrictions: None Food : 4/5 |
Food was amazing . Party room was ample space . Parking: Found a parking space right away Food : 5/5 |
Love the atmosphere here and foods are awesome too Dietary restrictions: My mom have fish and seafood allergy and they really care about this Food : 5/5 |
Attended an event at Embers April 14. Every detail of the event was first class. These people know how to impress guests with exceptional surroundings and cuisine. The meal was perfection from the dressed salad served with warm rolls, best butternut squash soup Ive ever had, to the grilled veggies, creamy mashed potatoes and roasted chicken. You are impressed again when you look out the huge windows to an unbeatable forest landscape of rolling hills, and greens. The staff made sure the visit was a delightful dining experience with their attentiveness. Good coffee too. Looking forward to returning every few weeks to enjoy the changing view of the forest and golf course. Looking forward to enjoying the unchanging high quality of their menu offerings. MMMM getting hungry writing about it.
Amazing service (thank you Jan!!) and the food is always delicious . It is always a special experience
First time at Embers. New to the area and trying to find my favorite spots! Embers did not disappoint. The atmosphere, food and service were all top notch. A special thanks to Mia for her fantastic service. I suggest hopping in and trying the kangaroo! Stole their joke.....cant wait for golf season!
A simply outstanding meal with all dishes cooked to perfection. Hats off to Mia for her excellent service and I look forward to my next visit:-)
Their burger is soooo good, probably the best in the Soo. Fresh flavourful beef grilled to perfection.
Mia was an amazing server! such a nice girl!
I had a very pleasant dinning experiences at Embers On The Ridge. The atmosphere was great and my server Mia was excellent.
Very good meal and amazing service, our server Rachel was very friendly and attentive!
Spent Valentine s Day with my boyfriend and had such a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, the food is fantastic and the waitress Rachel was an absolute sweetheart, treated us kindly, was very outgoing and energetic. Can t wait to come back again!
Valentines dinner was awesome. Rachel are server was fabulous and very pleasant
Well it was a lovely time spent with lovely people. The staff was perfectly accommodating to our every need, desire, and greatest dream. More specifically, that fell Isaac. Woo mama! That boy can mix a drank. A night to remember. Yippee! Thanks Crimson and thanks to my brother from another mother Isaac!
Just as a heads up. I do not do these reviews. I went out of my way to do this one. It s a long one but worth reading if you plan to come here. Also note if you re concerned about atmosphere. This place truly is well designed at no point will you feel that crammed in dining experience I won t bog you down in minutia but know that for a small border town. The food in this town is excellent. However, this place is transcendent. A true fine dining experience. Had a dinner date for Valentine s Day and not only was I able to be squeezed in for a late notice reservation at the end of night time slot. When we first came in we ordered a house wine and they had sold out. They upgraded our bottle to a fantastic pino noir at no extra cost and even discounted the original price. Despite all that the staff continued to go above and beyond in keeping the kitchen open as long as we needed, and even had the server check on us to make sure we didn t need any more kitchen orders before they sent the kitchen staff home. On that note just as a second stop over, the head chef came to our table twice to make sure our order was up to par and that we were enjoying ourselves. Him and the remaining staff also gave us a fond farewell as we finished our drinks while bar service remained open. 10/10 best place in the Sault hands down and worth every penny.
My experiences at Embers are always top notch! Isaac and Lars, as well as the rest of the team up front are exceptional hostesses and servers, and Chef Dan and his team provide a memorable meal each and every time. The house wine is definitely worth getting the second glass! Thank you guys!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet Sunday evening meal we had at Embers. Our server Josh was excellent, and the food we ordered was phenomenal. Josh has by now already told the kitchen how happy I was, but the rest of you need to know so its not a guarded secret: Arguably I had the best pasta dish served to me yet. Only a meal I had at another long closed Sault restaurant a quarter century could compare. No where else on this continent Ive eaten comes close. And, this being Sault Ste. Marie, this is high praise. Im not hedging my praise by excluding the MANY hundreds of pasta dishes at friends, familys, or even my own mothers pasta (Sorry Mom!), or ones my wife and I have made.
Rachel was our server tonight and she was amazing. We go once a year for our anniversary and the food is always excellent and we can never say enough good things about the service.
Love going here, foods always cooked perfectly and great staff.
We enjoyed the entire evening with wonderful friends, fellowship and food. The wait staff was very gracious and accommodating, as we stayed longer than we should have. Thank you!!
First time there ... was hoping for a dining experience but didnt happen... food is ok but service was messed up ... wont b back
The food was really good. The Service was absolutley unacceptable. We were all impressed with our meal but thats where it ends. Our server forgot our drinks twice, mixed up all our orders, and didnt take our meal order for over an hour and 45 minutes, despite not being busy. The staff was unorganized and the waitress was unattentive. They comped our drinks to try to make up for it but this was a very far cry from the dining experience that we hoped have. We wont be back for a while. Hoping the service here improves.
I had the Taco salad with chicken. It was a pretty ordinary dish for its price. The service was, however, very good.
Just had dinner here. Came unexpectedly without a reservation and had a dietary restriction. Chef Dan and the entire wait staff went above an beyond to make sure our dining experience was safe and satisfactory. From the drinks to the steaks this will be an experience we look forward to repeating. Dietary restrictions: Had a seed oil allergy. Was compensated by having virgin olive oil replace poison. Very pleased.
Embers on the ridge has the same amazing streaks as years past. It has great patio seating and cocktails that go well together, including an espresso martini. I miss the charcuterie and range of dishes from years ago (kangaroo) that first made this my favorite restaurant, but what is on the menu is still excellent... Right down to the vegetables and potato sides.
Beautiful place, good comfort food, fast and courteous, efficient service. Good beer and good cocktails.
Good place to go for a nice dinner. Food was amazing and the service is top tier.
very tasty entree and great service
The steak and the ribs were both fantastic. The staff were top tier and the presentation was spot on.. highly recommend taking your significant other .
Ever since this place moved to the Golf course it s really not good. Been there 3-4 times now it seems like it s just catering to quick meals for golfers, if that s true then it s mid but if it s supposed to be a legit dining spot it s terrible
Hands down - best meal we have had in SSM.
Posted on TripAdvisor as well. Excellent food! 4 stars. Cocktails were superb. Service, spot on.
Best restaurant in the city. Excellent wine menu. Tender meat and nice dessert.
We always take pleasure in visiting Embers!!!! Love their peanut and jelly martini!!! Crunchy Caesar salad and yummy steak!!!!
Kendra and Rachel were awesome serving our aging group of Board Members and Staff. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drink! Vegetarian options: Well prepared and looked appetizing, perfect flavours put together in a heaping amount of food. Thank you for making a special dessert for the one person who was allergic to eggs.
Mia was a great server.
We recently gathered with friends for dinner at Embers. Our evening at Embers very enjoyable one. The Christmas set menu was superb. Thanks to Josh for the excellent service and to Christine for accommodating our special requests.
Our first time at Embers, and it did not disappoint. From the warm greeting, menu suggestions, Oh My Gosh Oysters! And the two very distinct cocktails just to start us off. Our entrées were equally fantastic, and we highly recommend the kangaroo, along with the salmon. Although, we were full we did complete the meal with a perfect Brule. Everything was so delicious and we have every intention of returning again.
Fantastic food and staff!
Absolutely delicious food. Very nice building, golf course around it, and It was a good place to take my wife on date night.
Always fresh and delicious, our favourite restaurant
We made reservations as suggested by receptionist when we called, to get a good table, we got there and our name was in the list but no table was assigned to us and they sat us in the bar instead of the dinning room. But yet, another family came in, same amount of people, with reservation but no table assigned and they we accommodated to a table in the dinning room. Plus, the fruits are either frozen fruits or no fruits when supposed to have fruits. First time going, as we are new to this beautiful town, but will definitely not recommend or go back.
Amazing and accommodating. We had an amazing anaversary brunch
Great food...a nice place to dine in Sault....a little pricing but a nice place to treat yourself
Amazing service and beautiful atmosphere. Great wine list and delicious food. The salmon was great the full rack of ribs is huge!
My fiancée and I celebrated our anniversary here. We had a beautiful meal. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was just as wonderful as the food. It is now the place we go to when celebrating and we look forward to going back each time.
One of my favourite restaurants. The staff is always friendly. The food is always amazing.
Liked the steak
Nice spot for golfing and dinner. Service was a bit slow though. Ordered the rib rack which was massive and pretty good.
Have always loved our dine in experiences here, truly top notch. But now they have also really wowed us with their take out. Large portions and so super tasty you cant go wrong
Their house smoked sampler is a must- have! Generous portion and great taste! duck breast, brisket, Hungarian sausage... delicious, also the radish, jalapeño and cauliflower pickles were awesome. Ribs were finger-lickin great smoky flavour! PEI oysters were fresh! Also, good local beer selection on tap. Cant forget to mention the creme brule best I ever had. Service is wonderful. We were hosted by Peter 11/10
First time at embers and everything was 10 out of 10 delicious. Chef Dan is amazing and wont let you down. This is the absolute first time in 15 years of eating in SSM I actually got a blue steak that wasnt well done. We will Def be returning in the near future. Thanks for the nice environment and delicious food.
We had a small gathering there, for Rush Truck Centers, food was delicious and I had an amazing experience
Great food
Incredible meal, impeccable service, beautiful location. Always a consistent delicious meal and beautiful atmosphere.
My boyfriend and I go here as often as we can. Hands down my favourite restaurant in town. The food is phenomenal and the staff are lovely. Obsessed with the beet salad and muscles!
Excellent meal. Had the salmon meal and was done perfectly. Place is exceptionally clean, staff fantastic, good selection of local and import beers. Highly recommended
Enjoy quality time here.
Best ribeye Ive ever had
Amazing food, service and views ..
Amazing service and atmosphere. You get what ya pay for people!!!!! It is worth every cent....will be back
Excellent
Great service, great food, excellent atmosphere
Fantastic dining experience and food!!!
My favourite place in town for seafood. Locally owned, great views of the golf course. Would highly recommend
One of the best restaurant meals weve ever had!
Had a great time and a great meal with my wife here. Great steak, great pasta. Good service. Beautiful location. Nothing in the Soo like it
Wonderful meal, melt in your mouth striploin and delicious amaretto cheesecake
On my way to thunderbay, spending the night at SSM. Juicy steak and fine wine. Super friendly staffs. Will definitely return if im in town again.
We had a wonderful dinner and exceptional service. Thank You Staff of Embers.
I took my wife and a friend to dinner. My wife ordered a scallop skewer and got a shrimp skewer instead. No big deal as she also likes shrimp, but nothing but an apology. I ordered the pickerel dinner but am not fond of hollandaise sauce, so asked the waiter to not put it on the fish. It came with it all over the fish and everything else on the plate. I couldnt eat any of it. Their solution, a piece of cheesecake. I did call them a couple of days later to seek a better resolution, but no one bothered to call me back. I understand the waiter was new and I didnt punish him. I still left a nice tip, but management should have at least compensated my meal back.
If you haven t tried the salmon do yourself a favour and run to this restaurant! Delicious!!
Enjoyed a fabulous meal at Embers On The Ridge!!! It was a quiet, comfortable and spacious setting, with great friends and excellent service. This was a great experience and I am encouraging you to try it out. You will not be disappointed!
Travelling from Toronto. The chef defintely has solid cooking skill, I ordered medium T-bone and it is just evenly medium cooked, awesome. And the materials they used is pretty distinct from the regular meat you would eat at other steakhouse, amazingly soft. Great for meat lover. The only downside is the taste is little bit light for me, maybe more salty would be better but it absolutely varies by different peoples flavor.
It was with one of my colleagues who had been to Embers before. The restaurant has a really warm and homelike feel and really love the Farm to Table concept they have. Lets start by saying the food is fresh and sourced from many local farms which ads to the quality of the food. awesome
Great food
Good was great. Good portion. Good ambience!
Love Embers! The soups are amazing, food is so fresh, servers so friendly and the ambiance is perfect!
Great food
Id give it five stars but there was a mistake with my food.. but it was corrected beautifully. Kangaroo, Bison, Monk Fish features, after mussels with capers and dill, and smoked duck, finished with peach creme Brule. We were seated in the bar area and the staff behind the bar should be reminded that voices carry (not our server).
Excellent, great service
Amazing
It was good but not great for the prices they charge. We were a party of 5 sat at a round table big enough for 8 which made conversation difficult and uncomfortable. The service was ok but nothing special once again for the price. The highlight of the meal was actually desert.
Wonderful decor, atmosphere and staff. Brittany was awesome and showed me the ropes on my first oyster. Wonderful menu with kangaroo, elk and buffalo oh my! Definately worth it. Thank you!
Steak was excellent
A charming, rustic and romantic atmosphere. Had escargot appetizer and the wild meat sampler. Both were exquisite.
Service here is always top notch and the the food is fantastic. Everything is made in house from local ingredients and you can tell. The menu has some updated steakhouse classics and some exotic imported meats (Ive tried camel, kangaroo, and ostrich) if youre feeling adventurous. Great place to grab a great and reasonably priced lunch or a higher end dinner. Definitely one of my favourite places in town.
Delicious meal!
Amazing......would have given them 10 stars if able. Keep it up
Hands down the best steak Ive had. Before I even started chewing it had already melted in my mouth. That is all that needs to be said..lol
Very nice gem. Food was prepared in a superior way. Although it wasnt pretentious. The trout had a slight maple crust and was served over baby bok choy. So good. The steaks were excellent. We even had kangaroo served over mushroom risotto. Id go back over and over.
My favorite restaurant in SSM
We recently enjoyed a lovely birthday meal at Embers. The meal was delicious, the service fantastic. Never a disappointment! Thank you Chef Shane and team.
Great food choices. Lunch menu prices comparable to other restaurants but quality surpasses most. Delicious homemade soups. Never had a bad meal here. Friendly and helpful staff. Good for quiet dining with a friend to just relax and catch up. Also good for a group.
Really good food. Nice atmosphere. Excellent wait staff. Coolest feature is the strong focus on, and support of, local farmers. Its great to know your food was grown right down the road. Highly recommended.
Food was good and do was the service.
Absolutely exceptional dining experience. Anniversary dinner last night. This is one of the Sault s finest dining restaurants. Don t pass this up if you get a chance to try it.
I had heard a lot of good things about Embers before going there, but was really disappointed with the experience. I ordered the 65$ porterhouse steak to medium rare, but the cook was definitely rare. I understand that it is a thick steak, but the texture of the rare steak was not pleasant and made the steak difficult to chew. When I told the server, Brittany, that the cook was too rare and that I am going to go home and cook it more, she did not respond. I wound up having to pack the steak home and finishing it in the oven myself.
Great place to eat, the duck salad with blueberry dressing is amazing! We had the pork pull and the cold meat sandwiches
food is good and service is fantestic, but if u want to get a value dinner, this place will not be a good choice cuz the price is not very fit for its portion. However i got a good experience here.
Wonderful meal excellent service very reasonable price!!
Exceptional perch dinner.
Very lovely atmosphere open n inviting. Food was fabulous with loads of flavour. Staff was pleasant and friendly.
Really good food a little bit pricey
Not much for selections but great food
Interesting and delicious food. Amazing service!
Delicious
Great little place! Found it because of a construction detour. Had lunch and drinks. Clean, great food & service! I will come back.
Nice and classy
Best Steak ever
Absolutely top notch restaurant. Perfectly prepared farm to table offerings that change based on what s in season. Fantastic place not to be missed.
A Memorable Meal!! I had the opportunity to visit Embers for a business dinner. It was with one of my colleagues who had been to Embers before. The restaurant has a really warm and a very homelike feel and I really love the Farm to Table concept they have. Lets start by saying the food is fresh and sourced from many local farms which ads to the quality of the food. You can also get wild game when its featured. That night there was Kangaroo and Wild Boar on the menu. I went for the Tenderloin as I wanted to try a different cut of beef.. Our group had many dishes that night including some seafood and duck wings?? Anywho, like most farm to table places they change up the menu every few months. My meal was exceptional, I wish I had brought a better camera with me as the presentation was a work of art. All the food washed down with a great bottle of Barolo was a success. Everyone loved their food. This restaurant certainly left an impression on me as I will be back if Im in the area again.
Always so delicious! I went for lunch with my family and we all enjoyed every bite of our gourmet smoked turkey sandwiches and butternut squash maple soup mmm.
My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful meal. Service delightful, meal extraordinary, delicious Ontario wine. We had pork chop and kangaroo tenderloin. Both were beyond belief. Definitely 5.0 on all accounts!
Great food great atmosphere
The best meal I ve ever had. I ll start by saying that I stopped into this restaurant on the way through town driving from Alberta, I saw this place had good reviews and stopped in a shirt and jeans. I didn t realize it was a fancy restaurant but the staff assured me it was okay and made me feel comfortable, the dining room is beautiful! The server was friendly and accommodating. I got the meatloaf and mashed potatoes as it was admittedly the cheapest thing on the menu as I wasn t aware it was so high class. IT BLEW MY MIND. It was increadible, never in a million years did I think meatloaf would be the best thing I ever ate. It was soo good I had to get a dessert to see if it matched and I am happy to say it did. If I m ever around this area again I will make a point of coming here ( with a little more change in my pocket) to taste some of the dry aged steaks. Also forgot to mention the farm to table aspect that I love to see in restaurants, they have a list of all the places they get their produce and meat from local places.
Embers is class. Expect incredible food, and some exotic options. Everything is exceptional, eligent and exquisite. Expect to pay top dollar for the top quality meal. All foods, sauces and garnishings are paired perfectly. Embers would be the perfect place for a proposal or a special night out.
Excellent service, beet salad was incredible, meatloaf was delicious, hanger steak was a little tough, crumble and creme brule were delicious. Was a little shocked to be charged for butter for my baked potato.
This is more of an upscale place. Very nice. We just had a couple of beers and the riblet appetizer. The inside had white tablecloths while the outside seemedmore casual.
After a long drive today I was craving Sushi. We arrived ordered our drinks and then asked the server some allergy questions, a snarky response sent us looking for another restaurant. Driving around Sault St Marie we saw this little restaurant. Unsure but hungry we decided to stop. Best decision this far. I have a few allergies and they accommodated each one without question including celiac. Our server was amazing. She didnt miss a beat and the food was outstanding. You dont leave hungry... the portions are huge. The dog is going to be in heaven when we get back to the trailer. I recommend anyone living in, visiting or passing through rats here. #yougottaeathere
Priçey but wèll worth it. Located in an old house, Embers is the perfect venue for a romantic date. They have a very decent sized menu with a number of interesting selections e.g. water buffalo. I had the PEI mussels appetizer which was so generous in size I was unable to eat more than a few mouthfuls of my entreé and ended up having to take it home with me. They are fully licenced. The house white wines are a Chardonnay and Pinot, both were lovely. Service was excellent. Because the venue is an intimate size, I would recommend reservations. Free parking on site.
Amazing food, resonable prices and friendly staff. A must, if travelling to the Soo.
Had higher expectations based on all the reviews. Nice space with lots on the menu. Understaffed, just 1 server trying her best to do everything so.. not her fault. We waited far too long. Ordered a cocktail from their menu while waiting but it was obvious that she wasnt experienced in making it. Finally got seated and ordered our meals which were average at best. Our only visit there so..Could have been an off day. Price didnt reflect the quality or overall experience imo.
Good food, great company. Will be back when next in the Soo.
Quality Food Finally! So Good!
Awesome food. Great service . Very Friendly
Words are not enough. The food and service are excellent. Everyone has to try this place at least once. Craig Napper The blue door bistro. Thunder bay on
Tasty food and a nice atmosphere If youre into smoked BBQ this is the place to go. I highly recommend Embers to BBQ lovers
One of the best places to eat in the sault from a food quality stand point. The chef here really takes care in the food that he makes.
Awesome food. The waitresses are always awesome. Olivia is so nice. That chocolate torte is life.
Took chance on Water Buffalo because of mushroom risotto....water buffalo had amazing flavor but regretfully there was enough grizzle to make me stop eating after the 5th bite....the mushroom risotto was the biggest disappointment. I was so excited to have the risotto and if prepared properly I would have forgiven the water buffalo. The mushroom risotto was soupy. Service excellent....dessert was offered to make amends but I passed....the owner did give a discount on the meal.
This place is a dining staple in town. Ive never had a bad meal here. Easily one of the top three places in town for steak prepared to perfection. They also feature exotic meats and game from the to time, so the options are also interesting. Shane and his staff take care to nail all the details from start of service to the end. An excellent wine and spirits selection, and they support the local craft breweries. Dining here is a pleasure and Ive made it my birthday destination for four years in a row.
Great food but the service can be slow
My husband and I went to Embers for the first time last week, we have always heard good reviews about this place so we had to check it out for ourselves. The high expectations we had we not high enough! the food was DELICIOUS to say the least and the service was excellent. Dinner was worth every dollar. We will absolutely be back and we can now give amazing reviews ourselves! :)
Delicious as usual!
Wow! Im a Toronto guy. Toronto has some great restaurants! This place is AMAZING by any restaurant standard. Anthony Bourdain level excellent!!!. Excellent service. Excellent presentation ( cheese meat tray to die for).... perfect!!!! Mark Cameron MB, MSM, WOW! ;-)
Great food, great service we will be back .. Thank you
