No surprises, good food, good service, I liked their fried chicken dinner.

This Montanas outdoor patio was pretty amazing in the warm weather. Got great food, service, and the views. I would highly recommend this place.

Visited Canada with my mom sister and nephew a few weeks back and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the ability to sit outside with an amazing sunset view over Lake Superior! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves a good bbq or just simply for a nice dinner out on the town

Food was good, our waitress was quick, helpful and very kind but there was a ton of bees in the corner on the patio. Like a TON of bees. Distracted me from the scenery. Like I saw at least 50 bees, going to work. Mayhaps theyre the chefs.

Hi, I went with my Canadian friends to dinner and the ribs and wings were amazing, delicious, and the bad thing was that I fell in love with Sara , a girl who served me, and I send her my regards. Someday I will return, I promise.

Stopped here on our first night in the area. We sat outside. The view was gorgeous. The food we ordered was so yummy and had great flavor. The server seemed very overwhelmed or distracted. It took a while to get our drinks. She brought out one. Then brought out a pitcher of water. Then brought out a sprite and water. One person had to ask for their drink as it never came out. She was friendly. All in all we would return.

Had a great late evening meal at this Montanas and was not disappointed. We were seated promptly, served drinks quickly and our meals (excellent) arrived in record time. Kudos to this Montanas for their top shelf customer service.

We placed a delivery order from this location and the food was absolutely awful. The chicken was so overcooked it was inedible, the fries were soggy and cold. When we called to complain we were told to complain to the delivery service. Really? I wasnt aware that our driver prepped our food. Carrot sticks? More like carrot slivers. We even ordered dessert, melted chocolate cake wasnt good. Not a utensil to be found even though I called and asked if they would be added and was told for sure. Considering were in a hotel and looking for a good meal here in Sault St. Marie, we certainly didnt get it from here. 100% do not recommend.

Upon arrival, I was not sure if I was entering a dungeon or the restaurant. It was the most unwelcoming atmosphere inside the front doors. Bizarre. Secondly, I found it very awkward to be halfway through my meal and mid bite when I was asked if I could pay now as the waitress stood with the debit machine at the table. Polite but strange timing.

The lady greeting you at the front was on the phone 20 minutes while patrons waited to be seated. The waitress was not friendly and asked you a question and didnt wait for the answer. On a good note, the food was great.

There were ants crawling on the windowsill! My ceasar salad was yellow, and the pot roast beef soup tasted like beef soup mix. My husbands fish was overcooked and dark brown. The bathrooms were grungy and dirty. The exterior landscaping around the building wasnt appealing or maintained. This restaurant is on the water and has so much potential. So very disappointed in the conditions of this restaurant for a popular restaurant chain.

Steak was perfect but the potato was cold & under cooked. Service felt rushed like eat and get out. Very expensive. Not sure if this is my kind of dinning out.

We ate at Montanas in early July 2024. We sat on the patio, which is right at the water, so great views! The server was pleasant and the service was quick. We were there for an early dinner, so it wasnt too busy. Overall it was a good experience, the food was tasty and the environment was great. No complaints.

Good ribs and great service.

Theyve got some nice drinks on the menu. Ordered the nachos with pulled pork and I got Mamas lemonade with it. That drink is dangerous because it is so good and you dont even taste the alcohol. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available

Couldnt eat the colored tortilla chips. Never thought to tell our server Im allergic. Not charged for the nachos, they didnt have regular tortilla chips. Ordered another appetizer and when I got down to the bottom, served in a small cast iron skillet, there was a plastic bread or milk bag closer. Yikes their garbage in my food and I still had to pay for it??

The food is always delicious, and reasonably priced. The interior is nicely decorated with attention to detail. But the good food, service and atmosphere have nothing on the beautiful views of the St Marys river.

Service was terrible. Bartender was short with us. She seemed to be in her own world. Not tending to our table. And no she did not have a lot of tables. Ribs and buttermilk chicken was delicious. Beans tasted brunt. Corn bread was decent.

The window seats are amazing because you can see the bridge in-between the US and Canada and you can see the boats go though

Food is mediocre at best. Beer on tap was flat and old Server was great, and neither of the above were her fault. Definitely not my choice of where to eat in the Sault.

Hands down the best steak Ive ever had! Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and accompanied by exceptional service. A must-visit for any steak lover!

At first I was afraid, I was petrified. I kept thinking Montanas was just another steakhouse dive...but then I went there with my girlfriend and we were both so satisfied, we cant deny... Ill tell you why. The apple butter ribs just fell apart, I cannot lie. When I put one in my mouth, it started to cry... So then I took a drink and tried myself a fry. I first dipped it some gravy and thought I died.. We ate with both hands till we thought we couldnt stand. The waitress handed us the bill and we tipped her with good will. Then we both finished every last drop of our glasses of swill... Well be back again, I cant wait until...

We just visited today for the 1st time. Food was ok, somethings were really good some average. Appetizers, the bread something was really good, and the ribs from the top right corner, cant remember the name, are really good too. What we didnt like: bathrooms are not clean at all, the inside of dining area is smelly. if you seat outside is good, but inside not so much. Overall good, but not crazy delicious.

The only restaurant we will go to when we are in the sault. The food is absolutely amazing, but what makes us feel so loved and welcomed is the owner. She has a heart of gold, and will make sure your time at Montana s is worth it. I can t express enough how amazing this place is. This is an okay place. They have some unusual drink choices. Can you imagine a version of a bloody Mary with a smoked rib on top! The beer is good, the location is right on the water so you can watch the cargo ships go by on the other side of the St Lawrence. There is a path along the river right there at the restaurant but it is closed off so you cant access it right now. Looks like theyre doing some renovations on the waterfront. The restaurant is huge on the inside. And they have a built-in ice cream parlor right next door

Customer service was not the best. Food was ok. Never got napkins. Had cold coffee. Took forever to take our order. Lady was rude. Had two people, and they only brought one little cup of ketchup, had to ask for more ketchup. Waitress only check on us 1 time . Chicken was a lil dry But waitress lady needs some customer service skills taught to her. This was about 8:30pm last night the 25th July.

I miss their quiet elegant and CLEAN restaurant. Our server young, not too organized or fast, but with certain attitude-worried about her makeup more than anything- and chewing gum while taking orders???!!!! give me a break. Food not too flavourful.Just placed on the plate-We felt that we were in an out-of-the-way-diner in some remote area. Not going back.Take a look at the ladies bathroom!!!! a big rock holding the main door open!!!! gross old, dirty sinks, one was cracked. Disgusting. For one, this is a chain restaurant. Servers were very friendly. Not a lot of choices for mixed drinks( no rum )my husband had fried fish and loved it. I had beef brisket sandwich which tasted like sliced beef from the deli with bbq sauce. Do not recommend.

Montanas refuses to let us have a seat on the patio with a small well behaved Cockapoo. We went to a much nicer restaurant called Mulligans where we were served and no one even knew we had a dog as he is so quite and well behaved. Dog owners: Please start banning any restaurants that don t allow dogs on the patio (as dog owners let s stick up for one another to start forcing these restaurants to accept dogs). Montanas was not even our first choice and I fully expected there would be no problem. Really Montanas- you serve BBQ ribs and burgers and yet ban dogs!!!?

I did not like the food. I ordered the brisket burger, it was overdone and had too much BBQ sauce sweet potato fries were burnt. How disappointing.

We walked over from our hotel. An employee in a blue shirt sweeping told us the kitchen was already closed although we had gotten there shortly after 9:30. We asked her to double check. Luckily it was still open. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. The food was very good.

Terrible place. Waited forever for our order. It arrived in bits & pieces. Waitress was too busy to deal with us, we had two other waitresses try to get our order, our assigned waitress simply didnt come back. But what topped it was when our assigned waitress (the first we saw of her since taking our order, she literally threw the 2 wrapped ice cream bars at the two children for their requested dessert. But when the bill was delivered she was real quick at the table then & stood wanting immediate payment even after asking her politely to give us a few moments. Still didnt move. It was an experience we wont be repeating. If you value basic manners and even a modicum of consideration dont go there.

I had the most wonderful time celebrating my wife s birthday at Montana Sault Ste Marie. The restaurant s location was perfect as it offered a stunning view of the bay. The 12oz steak Striploin dishes we ordered were incredibly delicious and satisfying, leaving us a feeling absolutely content. To our surprise, we were served a complimentary dessert, which was a lovely gesture and made the experience even more enjoyable. We also tried their Margaritas and were blown away by their amazing taste. Overall, it was a delightful experience that we will always cherish in our hearths. Could be a great place but the staff are rude.

I got the all you can eat ribs. The first set of ribs came out, and they were good (butter if they were smoked). Then, after that, they send you 4 bones at a time. These were not good. They were small and dried out. I got three of the 4 bone plates, and I gave up. I could have eaten more, I just did not want any more dried out ribs. Plus, it seemed like forever to bring them out.

Terrible customer service, all the bills were wrong, even after they fixed them the bills were still wrong. Steak was cooked wrong, didnt bring out the potato. When they did, it was rock hard. We returmed to kitchen and the lady tried to give free fries as compensation. Didnt bring our iced water after 20 mins. Parking: Lower and upper parking

Update: owner did reach out, and did say if this happens again to feel free to reach out to the server about the food to make it right. Waterfront eating is great....issue the food is bad...either its a new chef or owners and they are cutting corners...I mean how do you mess up on fish and chips and let alone gravy? Would pass and not recommend!!!

Today Oct 16, 2023 The wings were dried up and we had to send them back The replacement ones were just as bad . For a wing night there was barely anyone one there . The waitress told us the wings are pre cooked in the morning The food tonight was basically unedible. We should have just threw our money in the trash. My family has been here several times, and our favourite waitress is Dawn! She always makes us feel important, especially our kids! She speaks directly to them, and even will play a game of tic tac toe with them! They adore her! She always makes wonderful suggestions for me as I can never decide what to order, and has never been wrong Always with a smile, she insures our meals are perfect and our experience memorable

A big shout out to Kendra who was our waitress she was excellent in all ways. Very attentive, talanted, friendly, funny, informative. Food was very good. Unfortunately the disgusting bathrooms left us with a negative experience. Have been there on an a couple occasions and nothing has been done about the GROSS bathrooms. Again expressed my concern to management. Hopefully they clean. Dont really need to renovate. Just clean really good. Ya might need to renovate. That is GROSS.

Its a fantastic spot with a great ambiance. The pulled pork sandwich was an absolute delight truly the best! Highly recommended for a wonderful dining experience.
