Without a doubt my favorite restaurant in the Soo. I have tried almost everything on the menu (except seafood items) and have I liked absolutely everything. You cant go wrong. The Bun Bo Soo is probably my most re-ordered item. The flavors are always so well balanced. Consistently excellent. The food looks beautiful. The service is excellent. Everything is always clean and neat. Its a very welcoming space. I really appreciate how Chan explains the food and how best to eat it. Listen to her and ask questions if youre not sure. Also the drinks are excellent! Support this business!!

We really enjoyed this little gem of a restaurant in Sault Ste Marie. Had a quick lunch one day and chatted with the very friendly owner Chan who even helped us, by recommending other other places to eat. We enjoyed it so much went back on the same trip for our main evening meal. She has put so much love and care into food and the décor, its worth checking out. My only negative comment is the wine is expensive for this type of restaurant.

Amazing food!

Food is mediocre at best. It was astonishingly quiet for a Friday night - we were the only ones there! It is also quite pricey, $22-26 for a bowl of noodles that was barely enough to fill me up. Granted I am used to portions and prices in Toronto of about ~$15. Soup base fell short too, primarily flavoured with msg, and noodles weren t the fresh kind (dry noodles). The meat was delicious though, even if there isn t a whole lot of it.

Best place to eat in Sault ste. Marie. Went multiple times during my stay, tried something different each time and was never disappointed! Staff are all excellent and the atmosphere is really nice. I had some sort of mushroom tofu pizza creation recommended to me that I would have never thought to try myself and was blown away by how good it was. I dont have a single negative thing to say about this restaurant.

First off I just want to say, the Pho is still absolutely insane. I mean that in a good way of course. The owners have recently upgraded with renovations and with that, the restaurant looks amazing and is very cozy inside. I recommend people give this place a chance so they dont miss out! Its truly a one of a kind and Im so glad Ive found my Pho spot. Also, the servers are all VERY friendly and I have met the owner, and they are equally just as joyful and full of positive vibes. All around just an excellent environment, with quality food, and friendly faces. 5 stars easy. Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options available. Basically anything on the menu can be made vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu options. Parking: Big open parking lot beside the restaurant. Tiny portion for $30. Either lower your prices or increase the portion size. The bowl was barely 1/3 full and was truly disappointing.

Noodle is worse than instant noodles, not authentic Vietnamese Pho. Portion is small, like feeding chicken. Service is good, but as a restaurant, not recommended. Food is so mediocre and totally overpriced. Food : 1/5

We ordered take-out after a long travel day and likely had high expectations of this place after reading so many shining reviews. For us, the food was just okay and didnt have a ton of flavour. Ive had much better pad Thai elsewhere.

Had the beef pad thai and my spouse had the chicken pad thai. Food came out quickly but was a bit dry and bland. Service was quite slow despite us being the only people in the restaurant.

Stopped in here for quick bite tonight. Had the Queens pho and a Vermicelli bowl with spring rolls - so good and flavorful. The two girls who served us were very friendly and welcoming. Will stop by next time we are in town for sure!!

When we first visited there was a frizzy haired server stomping about the place. She forgot my food and made the whole experience very unpleasant. Im glad shes gone. Queen Pho -medium size, beef. Good portion size, delicious. Sunset noodle - good portion size, little bit of spice. Really good!! Goi Cuon - good portion size. Fresh and light. Got peanut sauce. Want to try other sauce. Banh Trang Lui - good flavor, sauce was tangy. Welcoming and friendly staff.

I found this place by accident. It s my current go to when I am in SSM. The food is really good and I grew up in TO with lots of really good food, so I m picky tbh. I got take out last night and will be travelling today so grabbed an extra meal because I LOVE this food! Super happy to find authentic delicious food in my community. Well done!

I got the coconut iced coffee and I believe their queen pho but it was amazing plenty of food! The service was amazing, we ordered online and picked it up and the lady who gave us our food chatted with us for a bit and was very nice! Food was overall delicious as always, it s my favourite soup place always my go to when I m craving some noodles.

This is literally the best restaurant Ive been to in my life. The staff is literally the sweetest and probably knows my order by heart now, lol. My husband and I are from the states and we make it a priority to come over multiple times a month to get their delicious pho. I will forever be a returning customer!

Excellent food and staff

We had the Pad Thai, I have had it in other places several times and love it, this is not the case here! The noodles stuck together and were very hard to get apart it seemed to have no sauce and absolutely no flavour! We ordered chicken not sure we found any but did find tofu. We had two dishes and did not enjoy either of them! We will not go again! We also had a very long wait .

Vietnamese Food is amongst my favourites and they do it really well. Bun Cha Gio with Pork comes highly recommended!

Ordered the Bún Ch Giò and two spring rolls for delivery. Outstanding food! I opted for the pork option and was not disappointed. My spring rolls were fresh and crispy and my noodles were perfect. I ll be back!

I ve had really good pho in the past few years traveling all over, but finally a pho place opened up in my home town! And I think the very least I can say is that this is easily one of the best food experiences I ve had, staff is very friendly, greet you soon as you walk through the door, and the food, it s out of this world! Never had to pho taste this good in a long time, I can say that this is probably the top 2 in my books, if you re thinking about checking this place out, don t think twice! You ll love it

Found out my sister and her friend were going to dinner at Sunset Noodle House tonight. I called and talked to Corey. Told him I wanted to cover their meal. He was very helpful working with me. I got a call after her meal, she raved about how good it was, and how good the staff was.

All around 10/10 dining experience! Despite the restaurant being full and a line up of folks waiting for tables.. I was greeted prompty and seated within a few minutes. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (special pho) with an order of Spring Rolls. Both were amazing. The Pho was the best Ive ever had and I will dream about it for weeks to come lol. Twice we have ordered from Sunset and this wont be the last. First time was the Pad Thai with Spring rolls. this time was the Beef Pho again with Spring rolls. Awesome food & excellent service. Parking: There is a city parking lot right beside the building and a few meters out front.

This is my new favourite restaurant in town. Everything was so fresh. We tried five dishes (pho, rolls, fried rice, burger, pad Thai) and they were all fantastic. It is pricey but I think considering the price of fresh vegetables, its completely reasonable. The building definitely needs an update. I noticed the bathroom locks by pushing the handle, which is a really old system and I think many people wouldnt realize. I think there should be a sign just explaining the lock or even just add some sort of dead bolt

Great Pho and customer service! So happy to have a spot like this in The Soo. Ask for the house made chili sauce, its full of flavour! The only things I miss are the pots of jasmine green tea that can usually be found at Pho spots and the fresh sprouts, lime, and mint with the pho. The pad Thai noodles were a little overcooked so they kind of stuck together. I also didnt love that they put the egg on top instead of mixing it into the noodles and the chicken wings were kind of different in a pad Thai, but thats just a personal opinion! Overall great flavour. Check them out!!

Loved it. Lots of parking, seated quickly, all friendly staff, great food, great selection. If youre considering eating here, do it. I will definitely eat here again. Vegetarian options: There are non meat substitutions for some of the meals. Not sure of the specifics. Parking: Lots of free parking (up to two hours) right next to the building. Kid-friendliness: Saw a highchair being used that was seemingly provided by the restaurant.

Really happy theres a noodle house in the Sault and many thanks for opening their downtown location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Got quite busy around lunch hour which slowed service but they did a great job. As they just opened Im sure they will add some more noodle house touches but it was comfortable nonetheless. I had the Ribeye Pho and it had so much beef in it which was much appreciated. The broth wasnt as flavorful as some of the Pho Ive had elsewhere but still very satisfying. Was great overall! I recently returned from a twelve week contract in California. While there I fell in love with Vietnamese & pho. I came home to find that they had opened this location in the sault. Now that I had some experience I wanted to see if it would be up to par. The location is cute. Warm. Easy to get to with ample parking. I did not make a reservation both times and got in right away. The staff are super friendly and check in if you ve ever been there before, offering help with the menu and recommendations. The menu is pretty good, it seems like not many options but for a Vietnamese place it actually has a bit of everything. The food comes out super fast, which is great. Big portions. Now. The pho is actually AMAZING. It is very authentic in taste, they are generous with protein. I prefer the thin vermicelli and they opt for the thicker option, but that s really neither here nor there. The servings are generous. The spring rolls are amazing as well. Everything is just as authentic as large cities and so much so that I returned for a second time in a week. I look forward to come back after another contract to try more options on the menu! I really can t recommend this place enough and am so happy my hometown now has a place to curb my Vietnamese cravings. Also the price is SUPER affordable and accurate for the quality.

Had the bun Bo soo soup as recommended by the server. Similar to pho but more flavorful/spicy. Delicious. Up there with the Pho I ve had in Seattle and La.

This was truly a great dining experience. Friendly staff who are attentive, an atmosphere that suits the experience. The food was on point in taste and quantity. It is Vietnamese food, so take that into consideration. I had the Hanoi burger (stayed within my safety box, just stuck a toe out, lol) it was delicious. First time I have had cabbage and shredded carrots on a burger! Combined with the egg and secret sauce, it was a burger to savor. My wife had the Padthai and absolutely loved it. She was especially impressed when the waitress gave tips on the best way to eat it. We will certainly be going back. Maybe next time, I step a bit further out of my comfort zone!

Sunset noodle house has probably been my favorite restaurant I have been to in a very long time. The food was out of this world and the service was great. I think it was the owner who came up to us while we were checking out and asked us how our experience was and was very kind and not intrusive about it. The only small thing I can say out of honesty is that it seemed like it was going to be a very popular place, and that location didnt have ANY parking at all buy at least 10 more open tables. So you have 10 open tables and no where to park so we had to park a block and a half away. Its 100% not the resteraunts fault but if you want a parking spot at the resteraunt you need to go with your friends as early as possible and please just try to carpool so theres more room for guests. 10/10 tho. Thank you for the food and experience. We will all be returning over and over. Parking: Not alot of room because people would rather take their own vehicles and have 5 vehicles per 5 people at the same table instead of carpooling. There is literally no parking. 8 out of the 8 times I went we had to park a block and a half away. This is at 530 to 6 pm

Had beef pho and spring rolls. Spring rolls were tasty and an adequate portion. Soup was exquisite. The broth was rich yet delicate, the beef and veggies both cooked to perfection, noodles just right. A largo bowl of soup and beautiful presentation. Staff were friendly and attentive. We will be back.

We Both had the Bon Bo Sum, was very flavourful and would definitely try again but with the pad thai noodles next time. Our waitress was lovely , but was the only one on the floor and was kind of busy. Will be going back again, but will try another dish next time. 3.4 out of 5 Blumpkins

I forgot to take a photo. The salmon sandwich was delicious. The crunch and seasoning of the fresh vegetables in the sandwich made it a home run!! The portion was perfect. I asked for my fries to be extra crispy and I was not disappointed. Please try this place its worth the experience. Vegetarian options: My friend is vegetarian and found the menu to have a lot of selection as you have options within the dishes themselves.

The Chicken Pho was delicious, so big I took half home. The service was great the girls called me by name and were very nice. A bit dull inside with all the gray walls and the carpeting should be removed soon.

Being honest here. We were surprised by the cost of the Phos and Vietnamese sandwiches and everything else on the menu for being significantly higher than in Vancouver BC. After a few bites there was no doubt why. BEST Pho and vermicellis EVER. Worth it. Just go and see for yourself.

Anyone reading this needs to stop and go eat here right now. Seriously some of the best pho Ive ever had! Reminded me of pho had in Vancouver and Toronto. So flavourful and big servings! I had the loaded Vietnamese beef pho and my partner had the pork bahn mi. Both were absolutely delicious. The fries were also delicious! Amazing service and super friendly atmosphere. The food is authentic. About the only authentic Vietnamese restaurant in all town or for any other food genre. The beef stew seems to be a house favorite.

Had a great dinner experience here lastnight. Our party ordered chicken pad thai, beef brisket pho, loaded pho, spring rolls, wine, beer and the Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything tasted great, especially the pho which was very authentic like in Vietnam. Flavor was great, I only wish the pho was served with the bean sprouts and Thai basil. Service was super efficient and friendly, especially Chan, she went above and beyond and made the atmosphere warm. Our bday girl received a free wine which was nice. Definitely will go here again!

We had a fantastic meal. Started with oh so flavourful spring rolls and ended with an out of this world cheesecake. In between our group had the Pho, pad Thai, and the vermicelli noodles. The staff were very friendly. The pad Thai was a little dry and the pho was good but needed the hot oil and that made it great. We will be back again soon.

This place was a dissapointment. Tried the pho soup, base was not flavourful until you added extra spice (which you pay extra for) and the soup was warm, not hot. Left still hungry and payed way more than what the meal was worth. Havent been back since. Response to owner- Im not being unkind, i am being honest. There is a difference. 24 hours to cook a broth doesnt mean it is good. 18.99 with tax is over 20$ I have eaten pho in several places from the west coast to toronto. I wasnt about to state that for it is irrelevent. Truthfully i was exited to try your food. It was not worth the wait tho sadly. I havent been back in months. The chili oil you make is the only flavourful thing in the dish i had. (Which we were told was at the extra price- not free)Still didnt justify the price. The only reason i gave a two star review was because the waitress we had was polite. I do not need my money back thank you. Id rather just not waste my money or time. I am not the only one that has had poor food and service from your establimshment. Im just not afraid to tell you and others my experience. Dont let the 5 star reviews fluff your ego. Take the honest critism or dont. I care not. Ps, trying to call out your customers by not recognizing their name if they give a review you dont approve of is petty. Trust me i got the place right.

I have never EVER seen such beautiful presentation in the soo, EVER. Absolutely stunning. Very fast service like within 10 mins if the play isn t busy, and very friendly staff. Definitely recommend, and will be coming back for more :) like others had said, I can t wait for a larger menu and am excited to try more!

I like the area it is located, there s a FREE 2 hour parking lot right beside the restaurant. From the moment I walked in, very friendly staff! Quick service, and omg the aroma is amazing! Made me hungry from the beginning! I ordered pho with chicken and within 5 minutes my bowl came out! The smell, the taste, everything about the food IS DELICIOUS!! The staff are welcoming, friendly and gave me helpful recommendations for the next time I come! I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend coming here to try their pho!! Before going I read the negative review which were wrong. Great Pho. Great service. The Soo need more places like this.

I read the reviews and even asked a friend and everybody said it was really good and they werent wrong! All of the servers are nice and check back frequently. The food comes out quickly and everything we got was fresh, hot & tasted so very good! The shrimp crackers come with a rice vinegar-type sauce that is super tasty. Spring rolls are 3 to an order, but they cut them in half so it seems like 6. Theyre pretty big and very very good. The Bun Bo Soo comes in a huge bowl with a lot of beef at the bottom and noodles. You can choose between flat rice noodles and tiny vermicelli; we chose the flat noodles. I think this soup is supposed to be spicy; my husbands was redder than mine, so I think they forgot my spicy, but later brought out some chili oil and that helped. Theres A LOT of soup in the bowl...enough to take some home and have it for another meal, so its really worth the money. I cant wait to go back and try more things. I highly recommend this place! Parking: This restaurant is conveniently located immediately next door to the free 2 hour parking lot on Spring Street. Its probably hard to find a spot for lunch, but for dinner/supper, the lot was almost empty. Theres also metered parking on the road.

My wife and I really enjoyed our first visit on the recommendation of friends. We visited on a Friday evening around 7:30, and we immediately greeted and seated by friendly staff. We ordered spring rolls and shrimp chips. We feel the spring rolls are among the best we have ever had, crispy on the outside and full of fresh-tasting veggies. The dipping sauce was quite good too. I had no idea of what to expect from shrimp chips, and I was delightfully surprised by what was served. Big round crunchy chips with a hint of shrimp flavoring with more dipping sauce that made for a refreshing and fun appetizer before our meal. (See photo) We both ordered Bon Bo Soo noodle soup (soup was what we came for). We were both surprised at how large the servings were and how much meat was in the soup. Chile oil was offered in the side to spice up the soup and we did just that. The soup was delicious and filling. For the first time in my life, I took leftover soup home from a restaurant! While the interior was not flashy, the atmosphere was friendly and we were made to feel welcome and we were attentively served. We will be back!

Great food and very kind service

I was staying at a hotel in the area and walked here for dinner. The food was fantastic (I had the Pad Thai) and the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. I would definitely return to try more of the menu if I was in the area again.

The food is very flavourful and definitely special.

They dont have a huge selection but that doesnt matter. I come here again and again for their bowls and I like to come with friends. Great place if you enjoy this kind of taste!

I visited twice on my trip to the Soo. A unique version of Vietnamese food that was very delicious.

First time in, staff explained menu when I had questions, food was fantastic, I had a steak sandwich, and spring rolls as an app. Great service. Plenty of free parking! If you are downtown this is a must!

Just amazing!

This was a great experience! Shree was out waitress and she took the time to get to know our names. Lots of gluten free and vegan options. Our meals were delicious!! Clean and nice atmosphere too. Looking forward to coming again! Also to note, the portion sizes are HUGE! Its definitely 2 meals in one... I will get the baby size next time haha.

It tastes too bad. It s not authentic Vietnamese pho. The soup is a bit sour and the meat doesn t feel fresh. The price is more expensive than the Vietnamese pho in Toronto. I really don t recommend it. Don t fall into this trap.

Yummy and service was perfect

Went there for lunch. We shared the mango salad (2 of us) and the rice paper rolls with beef. Absolutely delish! Was a warm day so we sat on the patio. But I d like to suggest that the owners should consider installing a ramp so people with disabilities can enter inside the restaurant to pay for the bill or dine inside on a cold or rainy day. The fact that it s not accessible would make it difficult for me to consider eating there in the future if the weather is cold or rainy. Another suggestion is having the server come outside with the machine to pay at the table rather than go inside to pay.

This is an amazing place to eat! I gave it a try originally because Ive never had vietnamese cuisine, so I was excited to try it out! The service here is amazing, they are incredibly kind and food is brought out fast. The food is also amazing! They have decently large portions, but not too much to feel like you cant finish your food. Ive gone a few times now and Ive never had a bad experience. I 100% recommend this place whether youre a Vietnamese food lover or youre interested in trying new cuisine!

The food was quite basic. It s under my expectation (cuz the rating is highhh). I would be less disappointed if you guys didn t brand yourself as authentic Vietnamese food. (my Vietnamese friend would totally slap me if i showed him the food and called them authentic) The service was decent, and my waitress was nice, but the lady(one of the owners??) was a bit too enthusiastic for me, which made me feel awkward (I see ur passion, thx)especially at the time she asked me questions when my mouth is full of the sandwich?? PS. price was a bit high, but the portion was large, and I m really full after the pho, so not complaining too much.

Had lunch at the SNH today. First time trying it. Food was great. Fresh and fast. Delicious Pad Thai and spring rolls. Will definitely be making it a regular place to dine out. Nice to see a new establishment doing well.

Brook and I had lunch here today...wed been meaning to go for a long time. Glad we finally checked it out. I had the BÚN BÒ SOO SOO NOODLE SOUP and it was really tasty. The broth was amazing...perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Brook ordered the spring rolls and the small pho. She said both were great and both of us are so happy another great restaurant has opened downtown. Theres more to support in and around Queen Street...its gonna take a while but places like Sunset and Peace etc are doing a good job of bringing people downtown again.

Salmon vermicelli with tomato is very good flavours.

All the service staff were super nice, but Olympias, our waitress, stood out. Spring rolls good. The chicken pot was exceptional, the meat was very tender, lots of vegetables, noodles, everything was well seasoned. My noodle soup with two types of meat is second to none. More than generous, lots of vegetables and the soup was delicious.

Sunset is my go-to Noodle place, Im there at least once a week. I always go there with my friend, and we always get the shrimp crackers and Amberlicious Iced Coffee to start. The serving size for the pho and Pad Thai always leaves me stuffed, so Id say the price well justifies the food (that its also delicious doesnt hurt either). The staff is always very friendly and checks in to make sure you are enjoying your food, and the boss lady is very on top of things. And for those who arent experienced with Vietnamese food, the staff will take the time to explain the proper way to enjoy it so that you can get the full experience. If youre looking for a spicy pho, Id go with the Bun Bo Soo (I always add a little chili oil on top of that, but I like it extra spicy). When Im not feeling like soup, I get the Pad Thai. Absolutely perfect Thai Noodle House. The Pho soup is authentic and high quality. They go the extra mile with service and are very friendly. Next time I am passing thru Sault Ste Marie I will come back for sure. Vegetarian options: I am confident this establishment serves actual vegetarian food. The tofu was tasty.

I made the mistake of ordering the food. My experience with eating Vietnamese noodles is best when I eat at the restaurant. I ordered pork noodles and a side of spring rolls. The spring rolls were delicious and the dipping sauce traditional and tasty. My issue was that I ordered the pork to be well done and I received fatty pork. After I pulled all the fat away I had very little pork in my dish. Also, for $23 I found the amount of food to be dismally small - mostly noodles. After delivery fees and a tip to the driver I was at $51 and was regretting ordering at all. I ll give the place another try and eat in next time and hopefully my next review will be better.

The atmosphere & service was great I believe my pho noodles was more on the undercooked side, though I still ate it all (cause I hate wasting) ...a couple hours later, I ended up vomiting +4 times, had severe stomach pains and chills aches & fever . I did not eat anything after this meal .

I love Sunset Noodle House and eat here 4-5 times a week since March of this year. The food is always fresh and super DUPER delicious Miss Chan is always on top of things as she cares so much. Love Love Love Sunset!!!!
