Dixie Land Plaza, 1801 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1R 2X7, Canada
Thanks for delicious food , dopiza and Kabuli falow are delicious.
Great Afghan Kabob offers an authentic Afghan dining experience with delicious meat, rice, fresh fries, and salad. The lamb kabab and chicken are awesome, and the chef expertly prepares traditional Afghan bread. The restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere and is known for its competent staff and spectacular service with a happy attitude. It's a great spot for those who enjoy Afghan cuisine and want to have a relaxing dining experience. Thank you for the great tea. My dad loved it . 😀
The restaurant smelled really bad - like sewerage. The food was bad and pricey and therefore inedible and the spices were very toned down. The naan which was the best thing also came out not warm. and it was overall not a great experience the waitress was very nice. Try another Afghani restaurant and it's not worth it. Dirty, pricey etc
Went with family today. Food tasted liked it was not fresh. Rice was cold. Not worth the price because the plate is full of rice and just small few pieces of chicken on it. The very funny and surprising thing was “they charge $5 for just hot water”. Really? $5 for hot water? What kind of scamming is going on here? I would only recommend this place if you always $5 for hot water.
Even they don’t deserve 1star! We went there with my family for lunch today and the food tasted like it was cooked for the past couple days! We ordered faryab chicken, spicy chicken with rice! Everything was extremely cold. We asked the girl worker, she called another girl, they came and were smiling. The faryab chicken was beyond oily. We also asked for some hot water, they refused and said “if you want to get hot water, you have to pay $5”. Never will come here again. 🥲🥲🥲 if you all want to get fresh food, I don’t suggest this place at all!
salaams, yesterday, i stopped by faryab restaurant, food and customer service was absolutely amazing👌🏻 the cashier; even during rush hour, she was super friendly and patient with all my questions. we had a chat, and i found out she’s not just a cashier👀she used to be a journalist back home. i even asked her which days she usually works; i guess i made a new friend here😅i asked her to pick something from the menu for me, she didn’t disappoint me, it was delicious! they also have free Chai. after my previous visits with some staff that had a bad attitude, this was such a refreshing change. i don’t remember her name, but she knows how to make people feel special☺️the food was great, definitely a spot i’ll keep coming back to👌🏻
Its a halal Afgan restaurant. We went for dinner. We ordered saltani rice & kebab (basically white rice & beef kebab), zereshk polao with chicken leg, polao uzbaki, lula kebab, 1 skewer kobideh, french fries and ayran in drink. They served tea which was free. Food tasted good, restaurant was crowded. After coming home i realized they didnt serve me my kobideh though i paid. Problem was they were under staff, only 2 staffs were serving whole restaurant and they were too busy. If you ask something, sometimes they forget and you need to ask multiple times. I wish they hire more people so that they can pay more attention to all customers. Apart from this overall restaurant was good and food was good too.
Excellent customer service very welcoming atmosphere. and the ambience was good.the food was tasty and authentic taste. there is a separate place where you can sit in the traditional way that is really good. keep up the good work .
Very beautiful place and delicious food with hospitable staffs
We had family platter kabob , Lola kabob, chinaky all very good specially Lola kabob and chinaky our yalda our server was very attentive and friendly she was working really hard definitely recommend this place
We had a great time, it was very nice to sit, eat, chat, thank you
This was our 3rd time being there, I love the lambchops and qabili palaw, please keep the good work up, we will definitely will come back.
Nice Crew and the best food in Toronto. Loved it.
The food at these restaurants is very tasty and the staff is friendly.
Just wonderful
If you have lived in Afghanistan, you know this is the ONLY actual Afghan food in Toronto. Screw the ratings, this is authentic Afghan food especially Uzbek palaw
Best Afghan Restaurant, fresh food tasty yummy , Excellent Customer Service, Specailly Yalda jan has always smile with great respect and outstanding customer service, I am coming at this restaurant for past 19 years
Best Afghan authentic restaurant, the food tastes real, interior decor is pure Afghani, nice service too will definitely visit again
Amazing food, provide authentic Afghan food experience
Wonderful experience with clean surroundings, great food, and excellent service. One small suggestion: it would be great to have sugar served alongside tea. Thank you!
I guess the saying you get what you pay for doesnt always hold true. Faryab Resturant certainly proved that. The prices were astronomical, but the food was downright terrestrial. I left feeling both hungry and poorer.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Food was cold, tasted like it was made a week ago. Service was bad. I recommend this place if you want to get food poisoning. The restaurant may have been better before but not now. We drove all the way from Ottawa.
We ordered the family platter, it comes with 6pcs naan, some beef and chicken pieces and Uzbek pulao with lamb shank . But all meat was sooo dry, it was one naan cut into 6 small pieces. The Uzbek pulao are very very oily. No sauce or Chatni. Also no firni. I don t recommend to anyone.
The food is traditional And I really liked the chaynakee it was delicious Food
We had a dinner in this restaurant and we got sick entire family. My kids has been sick for three days. I think it the problem with the kebab.
What a amazing and delicious Food Ty Food
I went to the it was my first time there. I m not happy with their service and with their food I m never gonna go back on this place again. just uzbaki palaw the amount of the rice was too lace I m suggesting the people to don t go on this place.
Alhamdulillah My favourite restaurant has the best food, Food
I don t recommend it to anyone. Food is good however the service so bad.
Cashier is so rude the owner should be ashamed of hiring such a people in their restaurant I saw the other reviews I was not believing it but I felt it in first interaction with the cashier as an employee she had to thank us for coming to their restaurant she did not do it even we thank her she ignored it
I had lunch in this restaurant today. The food is very authentic and scrumptious, specially Uzbeki palaw. And the cashiers were very nice and kind. Highly recommend this place.
Today, I had lunch at this restaurant along with my family. I must say that this restaurant has the best food ever!!! The uzbeki is phenomenal and the server is very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to my Afghan people.
The girl at the cashier is very polite and respectful with the best customer service ever I experienced. I really recommend this place for food . Ty Food
The food was so hard I couldn t even bite it
So actually the food is good , but the cashier is very rude and has no manners at all .She forgets to serve things and only pays more attention to male customers , looks at females like they are eating for free there . Parking: Plaza
Really authentic afghan restaurant, Great taste specially Qabili Uzbaki.
The Food was amazing I strongly recommend to try this Afghan restaurant and their delicious food. Yalda Jan was extremely well mannered and served us with kindness and passion Food
Wonderful food and service!! Today, I had the lamb chops at Faryab Restaurant, and they were phenomenal just like the authentic kebabs I remember from Afghanistan. The place has a lovely atmosphere, and the customer service was great too.
Faryab Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Afghan cuisine that is both rich and flavorful. With warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Qaboli Mahicha was mazing and served with free green tea. Overall, Faryab Restaurant provides a genuine Afghan dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable.
They have the best Uzbaki Palaw
The most amazing Afghan food in town!!! Nothing like it! The chainaki is just outstanding.

Just name Afghan food
Food is absolutely delicious and made with so much love. Nargis is an amazing representative.
Fresh food. Afghan taste
The white rice with oil couldnt even eat after waiting for 15 mins dont know why puting so much oil all u wat is oil thats it
The behavior of the waiter of this restaurant was very rude, very very rude to customers!
Owner of this resturant does not pay the emplyees salary. they tried to hire some one worked on them and then fire them without paying. and also the quality of foods are not healty. Food
Very bad place with bad customer service
I highly recommend this place. Delicious authentic food and nice customer service.
We have been many time for lamb and rice one of their specialties. Not the greatest place for family because mostly mens are dining here. If you go there do try there lamb and rice.
Uzbek palaw with one shank for almost $30 the rest all carb not worth the price and there dapayaazzaa all low quality meat.
Cashier is so rude .
Service and Attitude of Workers is very bad , Food is tasty . Lady working there is not welcoming, rude and racist in behavior.
Under staff, took 20 mins for only 1 dish.
The lady on reception does not understands english. Her behavior is very odd, rude type also. She messed up my orders twice. Also i have noticed, she is rude to most of customers except those who can speak her local language.
Last night on 3th June, I had a highly disappointing experience at Faryab Restaurant. I ordered a tika kabob around 10:30 PM, but what I received was merely a chicken breast cooked in hot oil, which smelled terrible. The receptionist, a girl with fair hair, handled my complaint unprofessionally, insisting that they call a chicken breast a tika kabob. She refused to take the food back and dismissively informed me they were closing in 15 minutes and wouldn t do anything to rectify the situation. This level of service and food quality is unacceptable, and I won t be returning.
Very rude owner, pathetic food. They take advantage of people coming for training. Make them do shift for traianing purposes but never hire them. Please avaoid such scams and this restaurant. Haram khor
Delicious authentic Afghan food with great service. Highly recommend people to try the Uzbeki Palow and Chainaki.
I recently dined at Faryab Restaurant and had an exceptional experience that I feel compelled to share. The highlight of my meal was the delicious Qabily Palow and kabob, both of which were cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and authentic, making every bite a delight. In addition to the outstanding food, the service at Faryab Restaurant was equally impressive. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Their warm hospitality added a special touch to the meal, making it a memorable evening. I highly recommend Faryab Restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience with delicious food and excellent service.
Delicious food and nice atmosphere.
I recently dinned at Faryab Restaurant. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed with both food and customer service. The food quality was subpar, with dishes lacking flavour and freshness. Overall it was a disappointing experience for us. I wouldnt recommend to others. Food
Went to try something different, but apparently they only know how to make the Uzbaki Palaw oily but not tasty And more importantly the waitress needs to learn some manners and customer service Will never go there again!!!
I don t recommend this restaurant to anyone. They give you rotten spoiled food and their customer service is bad too they lie a lot .
The quality of food is getting worse day by day, Even the Nan was full of baking soda , the tea was cold and colorless, Chanikai was awful Food
No management at all, a cocky man on the counter knows nothing about how to serve the guests. We are 16 guests and the idiot brings one glass with a big tea pot
i love specialy you can get free tea and free naan overall dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish, Vegetarian options: every thing fresh Parking: easy to find parking spot Wheelchair accessibility:
Faryab restaurant is really good. Every time visiting this place i remember my own country and dishes exactly the same
The restaurant was delicious and amazing. A special shout out to Yaldo for her phenomenal service. We will definitely come back.
The best restaurant in Toronto I recommend
Tried Uzbeki Pulao for the first time and loved it. This place is a must visit! Enjoyed the lovely delicacies!
Apparently Heard a lot about this restaurant. Thought it s good . The customer service is terrible . The management doesn t even care if u need anything or not . Got the food was average and Had to wait 40 mins for the remaining food.in the end they said we forget to give u
Same consistency. No problem at all. Good food . Must recommend Dopiaza .
The only authentic qabili palaw and afghan kababs you can find in Toronto.
Worst chapli kabab ever tried and the meat of qaubli palaw was smelling bad.
Very poor service, customers are not welcomed and the food is not good
Never seen it before like this dirty and bad customer service in afghan restaurants like this
Very good and tasty food and service is also very good.
We drove for 35 minutes to dine at this restaurant, but unfortunately, we had to leave due to the lack of customer service. It appeared that the staff did not prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of their customers.
I went there on Sunday. It is a very good and excellent restaurant with delicious food, and the girl named Narges who works there is very nice and polite and respectful person.
The experience I had that this restaurant was amazing. The girl who served was wearing a hijab and she was so sweet and polite I actually loved her customer service also she was very quick to bring my order. I ordered kabob and palaw and it was so delicious I was there on Sunday and I am already planning my next visit with my family. I will definitely be telling my friends about it.
They have a natural taste like back home
The quality of their food has gone down...its over priced and waste of your time and money to spend...I will never return to this place...
Love this place. Outstanding customer service and delicious food.
Very nice
Delicious food, great service
It was the first time I went here, the service was very bad, everything was great before
worst place ive ever dined in, would not recommend what so ever. the food is super dry and it does not look the same as it does in the picture the front employee was super rude and would give us attitude when we asked about anything, the food is expensive for what you get
Not good service
Service was not good at all and the food didn t taste good at all the cashier wasn t helpful didn t listen to us at all
So rude cashiers omg first of all the owner of the rusturant should change the cashier those ladies are so rude and not responsible for their work you have to tell them 3 or 4 time to they do your order and also the place is not clean I dont recommend this place
The customer service is zero. Specially the lady works at cashier has attitude and has no respect for customers
Really delicious food. I traveled from Winnipeg to Toronto, and I always try their food, and its always delicious.
The Actual Real Authentic Afghan food, Must try chainaki and Uzbaki palao
Very nice and clean place with a better food service
The place was not clean and the food was good
amazing Dopiza and Qabli uzbazki, Mmmm Yummy food.
Best Uzbek rice!
Love the food specially lamb Shang palaw Uzbeki
They serve the best arbian food I ve ever taste.
Customer service is zero here, I personally didn t like it.
First time expedient went with my friends for dinner was amazing food looks more authentic. Place was clean. Customer service was good. price was reasonable Definitely recommend it
The food was good but the portion was very small. For a lamb chop and a Waziri I was charged about $42 but no Naan and very little rice with waziri. A big No no from me.
Uzbaki Palaw & Charplee kabob we ordered both were amazing great atmosphere good vibes
Vegetarian options: The food was horrible
The food was not what I expected it to be. Wont be going back there...
The service was awful, we reached around 10:30 she didnt let us dine in. The food was not up to mark either. Not going back there.
Poor service, after 10:30 dining is not allow, how ever other customers were sitting there after 11:00 pm, she told me you can eat in your car or somewhere else and the food was not tasty. I never go again
Horrible service, never going back
First time making an order for pick up! Good looks and smells amazing! My daughter and start to dig in, enjoying every bite. I didn t get up to get a couple drinks for ourselves and as I m pouring the drinks my daughter comes right running right over crying and screaming with her mouth wide open owwwwweeeeee!!! it burns it burns I like what the heck are you running over to her dish and see a ghost pepper in the Whatt! I am completely stunned! So I m obviously not Persian and I don t speak it when I came into the restaurant you can see it clearly I m not Persian and I don t speak it. I m Canadian white!! I personally would ve warned the person that there is a ghost pepper inside because you don t know what you re feeding this to kids to, and unfortunately my daughters one that became a poor bystander to the ghost pepper ! Your foods, amazing, but be warned you should warn people about the ghost pepper that you re putting on your food. It s not fair to the people that don t like space into the children that are going to become gravely ill from it! Start, warning your patrons about the heat that you re bringing to the table! Seriously peeved Angel Vegetarian options: Take a look Parking: Lots of parking might have to fight for a spot though
The best Afghani food Ive ever had in Toronto. The lamb chops and Kabobs are delicious and were cooked to perfection. The Uzbeki Pulao is great, but it tastes way better on the weekends. The choinaki is great too but do ask them to put less oil.
It is an amazing Afghani Resturant and you can find the real taste of our food here mostly
Friday, April 7, 2023 SKIP delivery today - lamb shank with basmati rice and salad. Perfectly cooked, fall-off-the-bone shank and beautifully light and fluffy white rice. Still s!!! July 31, 2021 Today I took my friend to this little piece of Afghanistan for lunch. Super impressed! I had the Uzbecki palau with lamb shank and he had the lamb chops with salad and naan. Next time, that will be my choice - they looked so good. He loved them! Also, really loved the interior! July 13, 2021 My friend told me about this restaurant a few days ago and I was getting curious to try it. I couldnt remember the name, so I went through Skip the Dishes until I found it. I dont know why he didnt tell me about it sooner! Ordered the Uzbeki Palau with lamb shank - it came with Uzbeki bread (nan) and salad. The lamb was a full, succulent, fall-off-the-bone piece of tender deliciousness! And the rice? I couldnt stop eating it! Chock full of carrots and raisins and oh my God, stop me! I cant wait until this lockdown is over so I can dine in and let everyone watch me lick my fingers! Thank you sooo much!
Best taste of Afghan food really tastes like same in Afghanistan
Delicious food. Great service Better Afghan food than most places. The spicy chicken was the best!
Best service and great food
Great food. Great service!
Pulao Uzbaki is outstanding
Quality food, more than enough and proper along kind and professional service. No hesitation to recommend to friends.
Good Qabeli. Always crave it ans go back. Truly one of the only Afghan restaurants with real Qabeli Palow.
Its one of the best Afghan restaurant and catering in GTA. The food is amazing much, much better than other Afgan restaurants. Vegetarian options: They have the best bit limited Vegetarian option Parking: In this plaza, usually there are multiple spots empty. Lets say if you are 5 cars and want 6o Park together, there is always space Kid-friendliness: This place has an open area for dining Wheelchair accessibility: This plaza is wheelchair accessible but the restaurant has no disability washroom upstairs
Food was great and tasted good. Was served quickly but maybe a tad expensive. Overall if you are looking for a Persian cuisine experience this isn t a bad restaurant.
This place is absolutely awesome. The food, large variety of drinks and the beautiful venue is gorgeous. Completely neat and flawless the tables also sitting all area. Toned just like ancient Afghanistan for families. The taste of food was super fresh and the sides dishes plus Qabuli palow with lamb chops. The staff was extremely kind welcoming and grateful for us to dine in. Highly recommended overall a plus 6+ star review specially for the low prices. Kind regards, Walid A Husseini. Vegetarian options: Spinach, Cauliflower, Chickpeas, and etc. Dietary restrictions: Veggies were good. Spinach, chickpeas, and cauliflower. Parking: Parking was very client friendly. People were considering and caring to assist with parking. Kid-friendliness: Infant chair available plus the bathrooms were clean. The sitting area was very comfortable for kids, females, and all ages. Wheelchair accessibility: Sitting area available for handicap individuals.
Hands down the best Kabuli pulao in the city!!!!!
The best Uzbeki palaow compared to all other franchised Afghani restaurants.
Loved it
The food is really delicious but the service is too slow
Such a delicious food.
Wow, I m in awe, their Palaw Uzbaki is the most authentic and Lamb chops were also super delicious. Highly recommended
So yummy
Zéro customer service, food was expensive as well. The dude who runs à restaurant has no idea about how to run à business. His behavior was rude. Food was not so special at all.
My visit to Faryab Restaurant was a disappointment. The kabab was dry and tasteless, The service was inattentive, and the ambiance was unpleasant. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for a quality afghani kabab experience.
Loved it. Will go there again
Really liked their palaw uzbeki. Through I found it a little bland on spices but that is what made it fele really light and perfect for lunch. The lamb was falling kf the bones. To accompany that we found my favourite yogurt based drink aryans.
Nice
The waitress would always hide in the kitchen. The food was tasteless, the only thing that tasted ok was the pepsi.
Absolutely love the food, authentic Afghan food.
The worst Halal restaurant i ever try .... i will never come back
I didnt like the food at all Last time! Food
They served food and we found hair in rice, when i told the server she said ok if you don t want to eat and rude behavior even didn t not apologize or acknowledged. When i went to say that it is not the way you handle customer. She said it could be your own hair hahaha and I replied than let s run a DNA test lol anyways it was my 5th time and last. The food taste good tho
I have been living in Toronto for two years and have been to Afghan restaurants in Toronto. They have really used the name of Afghanistan and presented Afghan food to the people as something else. I even have friends from Iran who complained about the service for several days. Previously, one of our friends praised Faryab restaurant on the Tik Tok page and we also visited the restaurant. We really found the same pleasure of Afghanistan in the restaurant. Visit a restaurant and enjoy the delicious taste of its food
Friendly service and the uzbeki pulao as well as the lola kebabs were phenomenal, the lady who served us was very friendly and we loved the carpets for a sit down . Overall a must visit if you like lamb and kebabs
poor customer service . strongly not recommend
Most delicious foood
Very delicious food and with good price
They told me your order would take 5 minutes I waited for 20 minutes I didnt get my order very poor service and they dont know how to refund the money so shameful
Qabli was not fresh and kabab was burned from outside and inside was not cooked well and bread was not enough as per the customer service person said we don t have bread I bring you from yesterday
A good place to enjoy your lunch or dinner
Worst customer service
I recently ordered take-out from this restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The cashier was professional and well-mannered, setting a positive tone from the start. While waiting for my order, I couldn t help but appreciate the traditional ambience of the restaurant, which added to the overall charm. Now, let s talk about the food. The Uzbek palow, sabzi palwo, and salari kabob were nothing short of excellent in both taste and quantity. Each dish was packed with flavor and left me craving for more. What s even more impressive is their reasonable pricing, making it a fantastic value for the quality of food they offer. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Afghan cuisine served in a warm and inviting atmosphere. I ll definitely be coming back for more!
Their food is most of the time not fresh and even smelly. I ordered Ozbazi paleo and it tasted sour I called to talk to the manager and he just said It is fresh maybe you cant taste it probably. Moreover, he was just so rude and arrogant.
Their food is not fresh most of the time. I am not Afghan but I like Afghani dishes. I once ordered Ozbazi Palou and it was smelly and was sour. I called to talk to the owner and he was just so arrogant didn t even say sorry. Will never go there
The customer service was ruthless. Especially the girl with the blonde hair, fire her! Giving people false information about the policy of the restaurant, shouldnt be what she is doing!! Waitresses have to be more willing to support customers, and explain stuff. Workers were awfully rude towards me!!
Customer service was not as I expected. Whenever I asked about something they responded with a bad attitude toward me!! And they didnt provide tea!! What an awful experience. Never going back there!!
They have very delicious food
Great restaurant for authentic Afghan food. Loved the flavors and hospitality. The traditional Afghan seating area was an icing on top of the cake. Highly recommend!
The food was good but when you go to an Afghan restaurant you want to have Afghan vibes not some neighboring country s vibes (music) plus the two ladies working on cash are absolutely unprofessional and rude specially the one with blond hair
Good food and friendly service Vegetarian options: Some delicious options available Parking: Lots of empty space
The lady cashiers were very lazy. It was funny to see them fight over cleaning the tables lol
Very delicious qabili palaw, friendly staff
very bad Dietary restrictions: bad service Food : 1/5 |
The girl taking the order was so rude. She has to learn some respect and customer service.
Rude customer service and overpriced food. Maybe they should learn respect first...
Costmer servíce zero They do not care waiting 15 then we left Service
I like to eat in this restaurant, but today the workers was rode and careless, they ignored us for more than 15 minutes waiting to take our order in end we left even they didnt bother to ask us to stay, unfortunately this is my last time hear and Ill never recommend it to anyone.
Bad customer service today We waited at the cashier to order for 15 minutes and they are ignored us totally No Welcoming even. They are so rode and they help other customers while we are waiting. it was my favorite food but I wont come again to this place.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY RUDE. The cashiers don t have any manners. They don t know how to serve customers in a professional manner. Their chicken was uncooked and we told the servers and they didn t even apologize or give a care. With many years of going to a restaurant I ve never experienced such unprofessional service. Will not be going again. November 26, 2023 is the date of visit.
Delicious food. Excellent services. Free tea with meal.
Parking: Alots of parking Food
Love everything about this restaurant
I ordered one Chainaki it was all bones $28 the price very bad customer service
The best Afghani restaurants I have ever gone in Toronto. Specially the Qaboli palaw is delicious :) Thanks for the service :)) Food
Zero customer service
