Authentic Bangladeshi cuisine with a contemporary twist
I visited this restaurant for the second time, hoping to give it another chance, but unfortunately, it failed to meet my expectations again. The first time, my sister had severe stomach pain after eating here, which was alarming. We’re food enthusiasts who love exploring different restaurants, but this place disappointed us both in terms of health and taste. Taste wise, there’s nothing authentic about the food. Everything is overwhelmingly sweet, chicken roast, porota, and every dish we tried lacked the spice and bold flavors you’d expect from Bangladeshi cuisine. Hoping for something better, I ordered borthas again, but even those couldn’t save the experience. When I asked the server why the food was so sweet, she said, “That’s how it’s made.” I pointed out that a restaurant should offer a variety of flavors, including spicy options, but both the lady and the boy serving us confirmed they had none. The prices were outrageously high for such bland, flavorless food. It was shocking to see this is how they choose to represent Bangladeshi cuisine. Overall, an utterly disappointing experience. Definitely not worth the visit!
Delicious food and amazing service. Our service Ali took great care of us. We ordered fuchka, goat byriani, fish dopiaza, chicken roast. All of them excellent.
First time eating here and was very pleased. For appetizers we took dalpuri, shrimp cutlet, chicken samosas and moghlai parotha. Main course: biye barir roast, murgir alu jhol - with pulao and mutton kachi biryani. Kachi was huge in quanity with so much mutton pieces. I also ordered promfret do-pyaza for take away. Loved the food. Service was also good. Overall just found another comfort food, home like food place. The murgir jhol was exactly like home made. Everything was so good. Just loved it.
I am addicted to the flavorful food here. Takes me back in time to my childhood. If you have not visited, you MUST If you have, you know exactly what I am talking about. I have tried all of their popular dishes here. Everything I have tasted was top class. Never had any bloating or side effects from eating here. The Ajax location is new, stylish and has that classy vibe
I recently dined at ADDA Bengali Kitchen & Catering and was absolutely blown away by the experience. The highlight of my visit was the Biryani, which was an exquisite blend of flavors that truly represented the essence of Bengali cuisine. The rice was perfectly cooked, infused with aromatic spices, and accompanied by tender, flavorful pieces of meat. The authenticity of the dish was unmatched, transporting me straight to the streets of Bengal with every bite. The ambiance of the restaurant, coupled with the attentive and knowledgeable staff, added to the overall extraordinary experience. ADDA is a must-visit for anyone seeking to indulge in authentic Bengali flavors. Highly recommended!
Had a lot of expectations from this place but it was really bad and failed everything. We ordered a huge order this Sunday evening when friends had come over to my place. I tasted the Ilish do piyaza and khichuri and it was so bad. Means the ilish was smelling and we tasted raw taste of onions in gravy. The khichuri was ok but then the mutton kachi Biriyani we had so much expectation from that and it was drained honestly. Worst taste of smelly mutton. I would say we pay money for the food please atleast give good quality when we order. I have had food in so many Bangladeshi places in Toronto and over GTA but never had this bad experience like this one. Our friends ordered shrimp rice, naan butter chicken and khichuri and they also complained . I was thinking to go and have food there but my first experience was very bad so won’t plan to go anymore. Sorry.
Food is very nice. Bengalis always crave for authentic Bengali food that feels like home. No doubt adda is the one to fulfill your wishes. Must try place.
ADDA Bengali Kitchen & Catering offers a delightful array of authentic Bengali cuisine, capturing the rich and diverse flavors of Bengal. The food is generally of high quality, showcasing traditional dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying. However, during peak footfall/ busy hours, the consistency can sometimes waver. Cost is also on the higher end. Despite this, ADDA remains a popular choice for those seeking a taste of Bengali culture and cuisine, with its vibrant dishes and warm ambiance making it a notable destination for food enthusiasts.
The quality and quantity both are awesome. Very highly recommended.
Date 2024-12-20 at 2: 20 pm . I made order for khichuri with chicken . The food was good. I know this restaurant for 6 years and know owner of the restaurant. He is very smile face and hard working person. I could have tell him personally, but I decided to make comment here. The service was really poor. After served the food, the waiter never visit my table to ask is there anything I need or hows the food. It is basic requirements in full dine in restaurants to ask customer what type of drinks he/she likes beside water. And the restaurant was not busy . It made me walked out without giving tips. :(
I am visiting this restaurant from last two months. I visited almost 3/4 times a week and had my breakfast lunch and dinner there. Well mainted hygienic sanitized professional and highly rated friendly customer service. Food and the COVID rules and regulations quality is * * * * *. Music quality didnt expect the rating. Wish their bright future. Thank you so much once again to Mr. and Mrs Mamun and their team. I am a handicap person. Please think about at least one parking space for handicap guests. One more suggestion if possible please add in your menu BRAIN MASALA, NIHARI and VURI.
My 2nd experience in Adda in Ajax location: Overly priced -we orders three things of chicken Alu jhol which comes with rice which happened to be deal of the day for 12.99 cost $80 as total bill. They should seriously label fair prices of all items its not worth it !! Ordered tehari today .I wonder if it is at all TEHARI or not ..there was 0 meat and 0 flavours ..You guys should learn to cook tehari ..I would never order from ADDA and I don t Recommend this restaurant ..my money is wasted tonight
Great one
Must try food at ADDA Dal puri, fuchka, kachi biryani, beef tahiri, maharaja egg paranth, chotpati and chai
Excellent authentic Bengali Food. Service was soo good. We enjoyed it very much.
The food is completely authentic. I ordered the pomfret and chicken dopiaza with pulao. It was delicious. The quantity was adequate and shareable among two people. The service was friendly, efficient, prompt, attentive and the wait was not long. I will definitely go there again snd again and have recommended it to friends. Parking: Strip mall location. Kid-friendliness: Very casual atmosphere
I recently ordered Aloo Chop as a takeaway from your restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The dish lacked salt and had no flavor, making it completely bland. I hope the restaurant considers improving the taste and quality of their food.
We came hare from USA. My husband like to eat some snacks so we ordered some aloo chop and chicken pakora and believe me it was worst food I ever had. It was so bland n tasteless. They need lots of improvement.
Alif and Maheen were our servers and were very professional and friendly. The food was great quality and flavor. Tried the moghlai nan, khachi biryani, Tihari and all were the perfect spice and great flavor!
Great service by alif, best employee
Service can be better. They were better few months back.
Portions are a little less for the price Kachchi tasted good. The service was amazing by Saifa.
Good biryani
Food was excellent. Atmosphere very welcoming. Service top notch. Alif was awesome.
Alif was great!
Alif s service is great! The food is amazing as always.
Loved the restaurant, the food was simply amazing especially the mutton kacchi biryani ! Shout out to Alif for making me and my friends time a great one ! Food
Aleef has provided us with exceptional customer service. Other staff members have been very helpful as well. Will Definitely come back here
The food is amazing. Breakfast platter is great. Saifa was really kind attending to us, as always. Parking: Parking was free
Excellent customer service by SAIFA.Food is Excellent.
I had a great dining experience at Adda. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. Our server, Saifa, was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a satisfying meal and excellent service!
Great food and service, Saifa was a great waitress
For over five years, Adda has been my favorite place whenever I m craving Bengali food. Saifa assisted us with our order today, and her politeness and friendliness were truly appreciated. She listened attentively, and we were delighted with her service
I ate mutton Kacchi biriyani. The meat was raw.Tastes really bad.the rich was leftover.i went there with my four friends and they got the same dish and got sick.i
Amazing service provided by Sarifa. Loved the food, especially the Beef Chaap. My Mutton Kacchi seemed a bit dry so maybe it was bad day, can be improved but still tasted good.
Awful food, literally had day old food.
My wife and I just had our first meal at Adda and it was exceptionally delicious. Lovely subtle use of spices and perfectly cooked meat and rice. Great service too. Kid-friendliness: Good for kids too
Ordered takeout. Beef and mutton kachchi are delicious , especially beef. The Ilish dopiaza is normal. Customer service was polite and warm during pickup and payment.
Must visit if you are in the area! Personal favorite is the Biye Bari dish (Chicken roast and pulao).
We were a big group. They were quick with the food. Food was good, really tasty, nicely cooked, appropriate amount of spice. Highly recommended.
The food is here absolutely delectable! We ordered the rui fish dopiaza, begun bhorta, vegetable labra, beef tehari and mishti doi. Every single item was delicious and we left our plates clean. Service was also top notch - Alif was kind and attentive to our requests and needs. Will be back when we visit Canada again
I did catering from here for an event, the food was amazing and the staff was very helpful.
Small amount and high price
Delicious food! Their quality and service has been 10/10 to this day. The staff and owners are very welcoming. For true Bengali cuisine you should definitely try ADDA!
Better than auntie s cookingn
Fabulous! Our first experience with Bengali food. Super nice service with advice on what we might want to try. We loved the heat in the beef dish! Dietary restrictions: The server helped me avoid gluten.
One of the best Daal puris in the city. Puffy, savoury, not too salty or oily Chaa is really good too Food
Shifah was an amazing server! She recommended some really popular dishes like the murgi aloo jhal and it waa really tasty! I cant wait to come back to their new creations.
Saifa apu was great!
The kacchi was amazing. Saifa was really good with her service and behaviour.
The kacchi was delicious and server alif was very sweet and kind to us.Definitely recommend
Same spice in all curries
All are high price comparatively other restaurants
Visited in a busy Sunday. Service was good. Dalpuri, samosa, moglai porata was good. Beef Kacchi was delicious. Best thing is that they are very consistent about cleanliness n quality of food. But price is quite high in comparison to taste.
Best Bangladeshi food ever in Canada
I am just changing my rating from 5 star to 1 star, days r passing there service getting worse, price going up(khichyri 27 from 14) they gave 3 piece only with two bones. I dont understand when they started getting popular they stars robbing people.
Loved the food and the experience! Highly recommend if you want authentic Bengali cuisine.
Overpriced, The funny thing is, with the bill they make their own tip amount and will charge you. Washroom is very dirty. Not recommended for anyone. Very expensive. We can have better food with lower price.
I went to ADDA few weeks ago on weekend. I loved their atmosphere inside. But i loved their patio very much. I went their with my friends we ordered halim, tandoori naan, kala buna. kala buna was really spicy and halim was not hot enough. though it was tasty but because of not hot enough, i didnt eat well. i got the best service so far. i visited many bengali restaurant in toronto but the service was really amazing. specially thanks to the service, who was really friendly and professional. when we went its was so busy and he was extreme busy but still i saw how he was taking care of the customers. so far i remember his name was muktadi. such a well professional and skilled server. i would recommend all to visit this restaurant at least once and remind your childhood.
The food was absolutely amazing. Came from NYC just to try this bengali authentic food and it turned out to be the best one I had far in foreign country. Also Saifa was absolutely amazing she is a great worker May Allah bless her
Amazing fresh food! You can t top this! Do try the tea and mishti doi
15% mandatory tips for 6 or more guests is a complete SCAM. I have been to this restaurant many times, at times with 8 guests. Never was i charged extra. My suggestion to all other guests would be, if you ever visit with 6 or more guests please split the bill. TIPS ARE NO WHERE MANDATORY. PLEASE EDUCATE US ABOUT THE CHANGES IF ANY OR THIS WILL BE CONSIDERED AS AN UNLAWFUL ACTIVITY.
Vegetarian options: Few veg options available Food
Great place, excellent service made the venture worth it.
The food and service was amazing! Look for Alif and Saifa! They are amazing!!
Food was awesome
I visited this restaurant on Nabami after hearing so much about it, and now I understand the hype. We tried the chicken kebab and biye barir chicken roast, and both were exceptional. Will visit again to try other things on their menu.
Really great food. Ambiance was really nice. We had a great time. Service was excellent
Awesome food!! But not too many spots to park Parking: Max 8 Food : 5/5 |
Parking: Free parking lot right outside. Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly. Food : 4/5 |
Saifah was a great host. The food was fire . I had the mutton kacchi. Probably the best kacchi i had in Canada.
Saifa was a great host today. Food suggestion was proper and food was ready within a short time too. Keep up the good work.
Worst food. Full of oil in the dinner menu in every food we ordered. We ordered Mutton kacchi Biriyani, Beef Kala bhuna and Beef Rejala. Kala bhuna was worst; burned, and full of heavy spice. Mutton Biriyani had a meat peace with minimum meat and a very big bone. We paid 100 dollar and tips and it s a total waste. We dine in for my mother s birthday and it broke our heart. Worst worst worst. They should give my money back.
Good authentic Bengali food. I thinks chefs are from back home as it is real genuine food which reminds me of Dhaka best cuisines. Service and location are calm and pleasant as well.
Amazing food!!!! Wow so much flavour. Saifa was an awesome server.
Great place for authentic bangali food specially biriyani items are on another level. Usually busy with limited parking.
The best place to have Bengali foods. The foods taste so good. Their biyer barir chicken roast is another level. It tastes like authentic. We also tried their Mishti Doi and it was so balanced with perfect sweetness and thickness. It was a nice experience overall as they have perfect food, atmosphere and service.
By far Best Bangladeshi restaurant in Canada. The standard of food and service has always been consistent. Highly recommended.
I think Ive been going to this spot every time I visit Toronto. I love everything that Ive tried and told those I know in N.Y. to try as well. From breakfast - dinner, came every time. Will be back again!
their signature item is not worth it as they claim and as per price
The food was excellent. The Goat Biryani was a standout, and the Kala Bhuna was one of the best Ive ever had. Even the dal was delicious.
Food was delicious Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoyed food Food : 5/5 |
Food is great. But come here prepared to pay a premium for a fine dining experience. This is the cleanliest and the most well managed Bangladeshi restaurant in Toronto. Its expensive, but definitely the place I would take a non Bangladeshi person to introduce them with Bangladeshi cuisine.
Best place to taste Bangladeshi cuisine. Their Beef Tehari and Mutton Kachchi Biryani are must tries. Highly recommended. Parking: Free parking but not too many spots so you may have to wait.
Truly Bangladeshi food! The kacchi is a must try. All the other items are good too. Vegetarian options: As in authentic Bengali cuisine, there are some vegetarian options, but these are generally eaten as side dishes, not as mains. Parking: There s enough parking spots for the size of the restaurant.
In recent times this place served me the best Bangladeshi food in GTA. I had a few bad experiences from them in 2021, but gave them a second chance, and they didnt disappoint. Dietary restrictions: Halal Bangladeshi cuisine Parking: Not too many spots. Can be a bit difficult during rush hours
They should hire a chef. Food was terrible. Meat quality was horrible. We just wasted ours money and time.I think i can cook better than ADDA bengali kitchen
Succulent soft meats, very flavourful!
Welcome to Ajax, Adda. Personalized experience while seeing the owner came twice to check how was food taste and provided extra Hilsha fish as a goodwill gesture for a little delay serving. Taste 9/10 like it taste in Dhaka, overall ambience with music selection was great. All the very best Adda.
Wrost breakfast we have ever ate. Ridiculous high price ++ THEY TAKE 15% SERVICE CHARGE. they take the advantage on name of the bengali food!
Sorry to say this, we got food poisoning after taking the biryani. Its not that Adda we used to dine once every month for the past couple years! Service and atmosphere are both great. Its the food or the water which may have bad contamination.
Very good, only there are limited seats for accommodation
Yummy Alur chop, best paratha I repeat its the best & relaxing berry smoothie best in town
Mutton Kachhi and Biye Barir Chicken Roast were just out of the world. Muglai Paratha was also so tasty and same for Deshi Chai.
The food was absolutely disgusting!!! We visited this place from England and ordered 4 Beef Kacchi Biryani & 4 borhani s but food was unbeatable!!! We informed to the manager and the manager haven t apologised just smile and said that, this is our food quality!! Very shamed that don t know how to say sorry to customers!! Please don t visit this place if you would like to have good food.
Went to Adda for a pickup order. Although the dishes were tasty, the amount of food was appallingly small. Very little chicken in the curry chicken dish $17 and a small side container s worth of bhorta for $8. Probably three tablespoons of bhorta. I took a photo of the container. I won t be back
We visited there with my family from NYC to dine-in at lunch I was expecting more tasty beef kacchi Biryani. About 2 months before I take out Beef kacchi Biryani and that was mind-blowing I thought I was eating at Bangladesh. But this time it wasnt pleasant sorry to say. Parking: They dont have enough parking space I was suggested to park across the street which was not bad at all that was a free parking.
Lovely food. Hope to return soon for the beef tehari, borani and khashir mangso bhuna!
As a food enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of diving into the rich and diverse world of Bangladeshi cuisine, and I must say, it was a delightful experience that left a lasting impression. Overall, my experience with Bangladeshi cuisine was incredibly positive. Each dish offered something unique, from the rich and complex biriyani to the light food. The balance of spices, textures, and flavour in Bangladeshi food is truly remarkable. If you haven t explored this cuisine yet, I highly recommend it. It s a culinary journey you won t forget.
Amazing place with great food. Drove and cycled past this place for a long time. Had to come in, given the parking lot is often overflowing. Highly recommend.
I love this place. Each item is above and beyond. Excellent professional service with prompt response. Expensive $$$$
Personally I am from east bengal and hence our cooking style is different than Bangladesh. But at the same time the mutton preparation was excellent as well as the quality. The negative factor is the price which I think is quite high as compared to the portions served. The place is very clean and staff is good. Maybe this place can get a better rating if they improve upon their price and portions .
We loved the food along with the atmoshphere. We ordered biye bari roast and polao & puran dhaka tehari. Both the item were amazing. But the most tempting was the tea after the food! The tea was cherry on the top. Would love to visit again.
I recently ordered kacchi and I must say it was the worst dining experience Ive ever had. The dish was not only shockingly overpriced but also incredibly disappointing in taste and quality. For the high price they charged, I expected at least a decent meal, but this was far from it. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good kacchi experience. Save your money and look elsewhere!
They just need to update their borhani. Not up to the mark.
Amazing, totally worth it ! Recommended
Had a great experience here. Atmosphere was vibrant and exciting. Food was even better. We tried the veg/non veg breakfast platter, tehari, and mughlai porotha. All were awesome.
We ordered tehari, khashi rejala, rupchanda fish . Rejala was good. There was hair in the tehari. So they changed it and it was so smelly . So we asked refund. But they refuse to refund . Later we wanted to talk to manager. After that they refund the money. So overall I m not satisfied with their customer service.
Probably the best Bangladeshi restaurant in North America along with New York s Khalil. Every item we ordered was super delicious! Reminded us of the food back home.
Well, I m unsure, for what reason some people have badmouthed about this place! We went for a Saturday dinner yesterday, and knowing it might be busier called ahead to reserve a place for 6. They took the details and kept our seats reserved as expected. Every server that we ve got to interact with during our visit, greeted us in a friendly manner , helped us get comfortable in the environment with one kid and an infant. Ambience is good enough, if nothing extraordinary. Area inside is clean. Coming to food, we ordered chotpoti, shrimp cutlets, mughlai paratha and deshi dawat(contained biye barir chicken roast, boiled egg and pulao) and every single dish tasted very good. Price is a little on the higher side, but then I won t complain given the taste , atmosphere and service was quite good. Kid-friendliness: They do provide high chair for infants. And during our visit every staff behaved in a very friendly manner with my 8 month old.
We tried 1. Kacchi- it was delicious, the aroma, the meat and overall polao was good as well. We loved it. Must try. 2. deshi dawat- it was good, but the roast is a bit sugary. Other than both polau and roast and egg was good. 3. Fuchka and chotpoti- the fuchka was really good (gave 8 pcs) and if there is also option for sour tok that would be more mouth watering. But if u like the sweet one like my you get sister then it is wonderful for you! The chotpoti was so so but they gave a sufficient amount of chotpoti. 4. Borhani- delicious, thick, slight sweet, spicy. All good. But as i like sour most so i preffered a but soury flavour, if theres option for that, that would be great. Still Worth trying!
Always the BEST
The owner of this place is manipulative and an extortionist. Buyer beware of the type of business and management youre supporting.
Great food and exceptional service starting from the owner and the rest of the staff! Best spot for traditional Bangladeshi food!
I visited the restaurant for the first time and the food is just yummyyy, too delicious plus excellent service. I would recommend everyone to visit here for bengali khana. Love the place
Great place to try out some Bengali food . Our favourite is the mutton and kabiraji
Delicious food for bangladeshi cuisine. Ordered tea at the end which was good too. Restaurant servers are very good at their job. Highly recommended.
Ordered Mutton Kacchi with additional meals for 2 persons to take out. More than 28 CAD costing Mutton Kacchi had a strong smell of Goat which included 80% repulsive fat instead of proper piece of a meat Biye Barir Roast and Polao- Polao was like too hard to chew and far way to digest!! Overpriced and Superfluous Food had received. Way beyond worth!
Adda restaurant seems to me to be the best among the Bangladeshi restaurants for breakfast.
Visited Sunday 4.30 pm. In summer their patio is closed !! The girl took order was very moody , no smile in face , wrong approach to guest service! No next time visit .
The price is high compared to food and services.
Great food and ambience. Customer service was exceptional.
One of the best Beef Tehari in Toronto hands down, the kick of the shorisha oil is there but not too much to make it overpowering. The butter chicken was par and sweet for our liking.
Amazing food
Had prawn Malai curry and biye barir roast which were as good as expected. I hated the table that was given to us, the one closest to the kitchen where a bunch of young ninja-like waiters constantly moved around. In addition, there was absolutely no space between the table and the chair. Getting out to go to the washroom was an acrobatic act. Manager, please note.
A truly wonderful experience. The food was amazing . The icing on the cake was the service. The lady in charge was the best you could ask for, friendly, accommodating and extremely professional. She is indeed an asset for this restaurant. Best wishes.
Great food but very small portion size and it keeps getting smaller.
Tried their goat kacchi, roast, biryani and misti do. All of them were excellent. Also, the service was great too.
Vegetarian options: Food is so good Kid-friendliness: Happiest Food : 5/5 |
I went with my family to have some traditional food. I was excited to see Beef chap on the menu. I ordered it with high expectations. Once it arrived, I was disappointed. It was a T-bone steak cooked with desi spices. It was no where close to beef chap and if I consider it to be a steak, it is the worst I had in my life. Overall the prices were higher compared to the portion sizes.
Liked the atmosphere and food. The pricing is also good.
The food was okay, a bit disappointed as it was rather expensive. It has a nicer ambiance compared to some other similar restaurants nearby. The service was okay regarding staff friendliness and promptness, but they completely forgot about my dessert.
Premium price with below average quality interior and not so great food
Delicious food! Atmosphere is great - nice to hear Bengali chit chat all around, you even get the burping uncle haha. Coming from Ottawa it was nice to see a menu dedicated to Bengali food.
Regular
The servers are friendly, the food is good, Adda does not compromise on quantity. I had to bring my leftovers, I couldnt finish them. I will go there again to have food in Adda. I had their beef Kala vuna, it was good but the beef was a bit chewy. Parking: Limited parking where Adda is located. However, if you cross the road there is a big parking lot.
My husband s elder sister came along with our children, our son-in-law, our grandson and my brother, who is just visiting us from States, to have early dinner at Adda. We ordered appetizer. We ordered different food items. We ordered tea, mango lassi and borhani. The ordered items came to the table one after another with no delay, Alhamdulillah. Each item was finger-lickingly tasty and so as the drinks. The beef katchchi was top notch. The quality of service offered was traditionally hospitable. Very impressive. My sister-in-law whose standard of taste and service are high, was satisfied Alhamdulillah 100%. She even appreciated the cleanliness of washroom, but I didn t use the washroom though. All the servers were polite, amiable. I wish I could ask each ones name to mention here as acknowledgement. I was only able to ask one person s whose name is Ateef. Thank you everyone. You all enhanced our family time this evening.
decent food... hope it goes North, not South. Vegetarian options: Need more.. Parking: Tight spot...
They charged us $13 extra for cholar daal even though we simply ordered non veg breakfast and didn t ask for anything extra. The non veg breakfast menu doesn t even mention cholar daal so I don t know why they added that. Feels like scam that they suspiciously charged us extra for the daal when we didn t even mention it. The daal wasn t even that good. They didn t even offer to refund even though they accepted it was their mistake. I was really looking forward to this place but now don t feel comfortable coming back here again Edit: Thank you for the reply. I understand it was a simple mistake. Aside from the dal, the rest of the food was good.
Adda Bengali Kitchen offers delicious, authentic Bengali cuisine, including their excellent Beef Tehari. While the prices are a bit high, the food quality is outstanding. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it worth the visit.
Adda is a good place if you are looking to have a good time with your friends / family with authentic Bengali cuisine. I have been to Adda a few times and liked it each time. I am particularly fond of their Biye Bari Chicken Roast Meal and the Shrimp Dopiaza Meal. However, my only concern is that the food is way too oily for my comfort zone. Like I almost feel too guilty and too worried to eat such oily food. I will request Adda to look into this aspect without compromising on the taste of the food.
The food used to be the best bengali good in Toronto to us last year but this year nothing tastes authentic and quality of the food has decreased dramatically. Not sure if they fired the old chef but this place is not worth going to anymore for food. Hope they go bankrupt soon after people stop going here.
Good food and good cook too
Possibly the best Biryani I have ever had. Relaxed friendly service for us non-Bengalis. Worth a journey
Amazing food!!!! Loved their tea so much Food
Excellent taste and service.Authentic Bangladeshi taste. Like their kachchi .
Best Bangladeshi restaurant in Toronto. Love their foods and services.
Love the food
Went there for breakfast, Great service and the food was just awesome. The tea we couldnt just stop drinking, luchi , aloo bhaji, chicken curry everything was made to perfection. Worth many revisits ! Food
One of the best places for Bangladeshi dishes and the owner and servers are very accommodating. Meaning you truly feel the Bengali hospitality here
Last week, I bought mutton and beef kacchi, which was amazing. However, sometimes experiences can vary.
Ordered a beef biryani and mutton biryani , both were beef biryani. Very disappointing.
I ordered kacchi biriyani yesterday and the food was really good. .but dont expect exactly the same taste and flavor as of core Bangladeshi kachchi (especially, old Dhakas). . however, the aroma, spices and the measurement of salt in the food were appreciable. .I would specifically like to mention about the service quality which was tremendously good. .the ambience and environment of the place were also pleasant. . moreover, I had one of the best washroom experiences there. .it was clean and well maintained. .and definitely all of the above comes with a price. .yep, the prices of the items as per the menu book are significantly high as compared to other Bangladeshi restaurants nearby. .hence, for the food enthusiasts who have got budget constraints this restaurant might not be an appropriate solution. . otherwise I would recommend it.
It had probably been 1 year since I got some authentic Bangladeshi food like porota, Dim vagi (egg), gorur ghost (beef) and payes (sweets). The menu here is kinda like the good old days of Bangali breakfast at home
Amazing food and the staff are so nice! Definitely a Scarborough gem.
We got severely sick after having food from here, so be careful! My sister was vomiting non stop after coming out from the restaurant and she felt so bad. The food was okay. The chotpoti tasted sweet, so I didn t like it. The washroom was dirty and another one wasn t even working, the staff didn t know how to talk properly with customers regarding the issue. There was water all over the floor too. Overhyped, overpriced, not recommended from my side.
The only place I was able to find Dhaka style Tehari! The best!
Had mutton and beef Kacchi, both cost over $50 but quantity was insufficient and flavour was okay. Wouldnt recommend unless you have lots of money and very little idea about authentic Bangladeshi dishes
Ill come here again
One of the best Bengali cuisine
Pretty good food sort of overrated though its nothing too special or outstanding
Great quality deshi food items. It will not dissappoint you with its yummy meals and great things come with a cost!!
Highly recommended! Delicious food, friendly staff and an authentic experience.
The food was very bad and way too oily and did not taste the same as it tasted when they first opened. The service was very good. Saifa was an excellent server, she was very nice and understanding. Edit Reply to the owners: Hello, I have a few points at on the comment by the owner. Firstly, the dine in and take out was ordered at the same time so it s not like we tasted the food and got the take out. And since we did order it felt wrong to not take it. you mentioned how we didn t like the food but managed to finished it all. I don t know in what world you live in, but on earth when people order food, they pay for it and don t like wasting food that they get. We even informed the server of the poor quality food and let the chef know of it. Even when we went that day there were only two three table, by which even a horse with an eye can tall that the quality of the restaurant went down as you barely have any customers. So instead of coming online and braiding costumes with honest feedback for your cholesterol infused food, maybe you should pay more attention on making food edible. And if you can t take a little criticism, maybe you shouldn t own a restaurant. Vegetarian options: All the food was way too oily and flavour less
