Enjoyed this place that is ever so popular with my friends. Bar side is nicer than the betting side. Food was spot on and service was very good
Ordered through Skip for my dad and my uncle (who were having a night in with some beers). They wanted some really good big wings like their old hockey days. The jumbo wings did not disappoint. The bogo deal was amazing too.
The food is always great. We order it for delivery maybe twice per month (because it's a healthier option for take out!) and consistently there have been no errors with the order. The salads are super fresh. We've tried a variety of things from the menu and we're never disappointed. We've been inside the pub a few times as well and the staff were very friendly. Great work over there!
Shepard's pie not worth price point. Fries crisp flavorful. Breakfast taters lil crispy pillows. Chicken clubhouse served like a kebob . Grilled cheese with wheat bread wonderfully buttered . The "club samich" was cut into "finger samiches" and shoved onto a toothpick. Shepard's pie was awesome and needed more carcass and veg. Mashed taters beautiful fo shep pie 🤤...it is a "known" not to expect much from bar food. However bein a bar food fan I have rated a couple on here. 😎🥃
I found this pub on skip the dishes recently. Today is our 3rd order, my husband requested this Place again because the food is so awesome he said! We ordered chicken clubhouse with wedges and Chipotle dip--mmm so good! cornbeef sandwich with McCain fries, nice size and not fatty. Spaghetti and meatballs and chicken fettuccini very flavourful and no mushy pasta here! Everything was hot and delicious and delivered in environmentally friendly containers which really made me happy. Tonight we ordered chicken stir fry and the bowl full of hearty Chilli, we can hardly wait until it arrives, as everything so far makes me come back for more! Pricing is very reasonable too. On the skip app they have daily specials if you are looking for a full meal. Give them a try, they have so many comforting dishes here and so reasonably priced. Cheers to the chef Update: Chilli is large comes with tortilla chips and garlic toast was delicious, stir fry had lots of chicken with carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and basmati rice nice portion and it was yummy. Winner winner rib and wing dinner, it's amazing! That bbq sauce is magnificent! Try the Irish stew when it's on special, it is absolutely delicious, full of meat, carrots and potatoes comes with rice and garlic toast. See my pic My review is based on delivery.
I went through the reviews and saw some of them to be a bit too condescending. But if you need food prepared with soul and bang for the buck sorta drinks, this is the place to be. The servers are awesome and yeah it’s a betting cafe so don’t act surprised if you see some people getting enthusiastic. No one would bother you unless you go bother them, I suppose. Being a brown person (South Indian), this is the one pub where I’ve never felt belittled or looked down. Always a warm welcome. The taste of “chicken dinner” has changed to a not so great one compared to before. But everything else is on point.
Nice to go in a bar that actually gives you a pint when you order one. Yes the pour was to the rim of my Stella glass!! The Shepherd pie served with a salad was delicious and the service by the nice lady behind the bar was excellent. This is not a high class bar, it's an off track betting location frequented by regulars. Nice regulars. I'll be back again soon.
Great food. Get the chicken souvlaki dinner or the chicken & shrimp stirfry. Delish!

i been going there for 25 years especilly when the leafs play that food is great there the servers have been great and if you our a gambler you can bet on horse racing there i go there for superbowl there as well if you never try it once you try you will return its like tv show cheers everybody knows youre name and the odd times there a live band there

Updated my post from a year ago because it popped up on Goggle and I noticed grammar errors. My opinion hasnt changed! Looking forward to going there again, but I dont live near there anymore. Loving overseas. Maybe Ill be back there this summer, I hope!... Food was surprisingly GREAT!!! Seriously. I ordered a steak (with mashed potatoes, fried onions and mushrooms). It was cooked to perfection. The char lines, and flavour from the grill accented the steak wonderfully. The meat itself, I imagine, was not super high quality (hence the low price), but the cook did the absolute best job one could possibly do with it! SHOCKINGLY SURPRISED HOW GREAT IT WAS!! I also ordered the chicken alfredo pasta. That was also cooked amazingly; al dente; chicken was tender; and had those fabulous char marks & flavour to it. The garlic bread that accompanied was also soft and although not overpoweringly garlicky or buttery, you could definitely taste them both intensely with each bite, but not in an overpowering way! Good! Again, I am SO satisfied with the flavour and the pricing.. dont forget, this was for takeout so I imagine that eating it there in the restaurant/bar it would have tasted even better.. or maybe, with horse track betting and it being mainly a bar taking up most of the space, the atmosphere might star away from the diving experience.. but if you can live with those conditions, great!! Otherwise, very highly recommend takeout, be ready to be satisfied immensely by the order. I feel like maybe I was lucky, since this was my first order there but so far they are batting 1.000 with their orders for me!! Sorry! I didnt take any photos.. never thought about it until now Thank you chef! Parking: Its a strip mall, so limited spots in front of the stores, but enough does as I imagine most people are locals/drinking, so not driving.

I went there after a hard day at work (sounds familiar, eh?) And with a bunch of finals that needed to be dine for college (also sounds familiar, eh?) I stopped in to do some homework and lose the cognitive ability to do said homework. Even though dumpy 20 year old jackass is probably the last person youd expect there, I felt welcomed, staff was great, and the atmosphere was nice. It was a really great bar! And the beer was perfect too! Thinking about going there for a drink? Do it or else this random reviewer will know. See, hopefully the way Im writing this reveiw shows you Im not the target audience, but I still had a great time go here!

I really like the place and prices Me and my friend went there a few times and had nice experience. The kitchen here is actually fantastic. Today, on March 6th, we came and wanted to order. There was a lady at the bar who told us we could sit anywhere. So we did. We asked for a menu and she gave us one. Then the lady brought us water and we told her we are ready to order. She said okay and walked away, started serving other customers, walk around the restaurant, change music on the TV and so on. We sat down for some time waiting for her, but we walked out cause we didnt understand what this is all about..I dont know, I felt some weird attitude towards us.. I hope we just came at the wrong time when staff is not in the mood and hope to come back again soon as well. Update: Changed to 5 stars! Went today and were served by the same lady! She is such a sunshine! I guess last time we just got here at a wrong time thank you!!

Pretty standard sports bar. But I have to say I enjoyed coming here in the afternoon. The staff were friendly and they can accommodate almost any event. Horses have their own area. No craft beer but I found something to drink. I enjoyed my Reuben sandwich.
Local dive bar with off-track betting. We walked past two older guys smoking outside and once we were inside a guy was yelling very loudly at the tv screens. It was animated but no one bothered us. We stuck with the fried foods, which were mostly all frozen and just heated. It was late and their kitchen closes at midnight on Sundays. They have a lot of beers on tap and fill your glass up to the rim. Lots of parking. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were fair.
This bar is a hidden jewel in the middle of Scarborough. The food is amazing at a surprisingly good price. Staff are the bonus, friendly and service oriented and the regulars make it extremely enjoyable to socialize. Dimitri the night time manager always assists the staff and goes out of his way to satisfy his customers.

Divey sports bar, one of the few in this area. Lots of TVs showing popular sports and a pool table for those so Inclined. Friendly staff. Update 01/27/2020: Pool table has been removed permanently and the area replaced with additional TVs. Unfortunate really, since ether betting crowd was already loud and obnoxious enough when they had their own area. Ill still visit for food on occasion but wont be visiting as often.

I have only been to the patio and during Covid times, very good service, affordable prices, good quality of food. The variety of beers is a little lacking, but nothing to regret. If you like horse betting, its your place.

Best local bar with great food at a reasonable price. The staff are great (Mike, Jez, Heather, Becca, Connie & Kat) and had previous great Management with Lefty and Stef. The staff staying similar for years makes it feel like coming home! The customers/regulars are extremely welcoming and make you want to come back. Only downsides: Removed pool table, Manager on weekends doesn t allow music on patio & rarely inside, the bar stopped showing UFC/Boxing which always brought in a great crowd and returning customers.

Servers were really nice. The typical hole in the wall you go there to get drunk I would never go back again seen as one of the people in the bar tried to break into my car kid and they realized it was someone in my car and if they messed up.
What a place been going for 18 years and counting! Great, loads of fun especially main events and sports! Staff is amazing and so friendly and the food well OMG best place to eat in Scarborough! Its clean and fun what more could you ask for!!!!!

Only thing that costed it a star is not having my Molson Canadian... Food is plentiful on the menu.. Slouvaki to Thai Wings they have it...even great breakfasts, as well. Prices arent specifically reasonable, youll expect to pay at least 20 a meal here per person, but the beer is cold and the service is quick on their feet.

I have been ordering take out for years without any problems but lately the quantity and quality has been very disapointing to say the least. My order was messed up a week ago which happens but yesterday I ordered fish and chips and not only was the fish way over cooked but I got really sick all night. Sooo disappointed! My friend and I will not be eating their food again!
